A young boy walked up to the entrance of a roller coaster, he looked around to see if anyone was supposed to be watching it, but as soon as he looked back at the entrance, a monitor lit up saying 'You may enter!', granting him access. "Wow, that's so cool!" Said the boy as he hopped onto the ride, attaching the seat belt to the buckle and fastening it. The rollercoaster started to slowly move forward before going up an incline. As the young fellow reached the peak of the incline, he looked around himself, basking in the vast open sky, which had become purple as dusk had set in. Welcome to the Spring Yard Zone! A wondrous amusement park with brown floors and green metal fences, blue and purple pillars, and red and blue bumpers with big yellow stars on them. There were also neon lights spelling out the worrying 'Cope'. Honestly, I'm not sure what that means. He looked off into the distance at the beautiful city buildings, and the tall mountains beyond them. This was unlike anything this boy had ever seen, and this ride he was on was to thank for such a sight. The boy braced himself for the inevitable drop. As the rollercoaster dropped, he threw up his arms and laughed with such joy. After a few loops and corkscrews, the ride had finally come to an end. After getting off, he spotted a man in a red shirt and yellow cape.

"Excuse me, sir! Sir!" The young boy called out as he began running to the rather large man. The man turned around, and the boy stopped dead in his tracks. He was almost in awe at the man's large mustache, complemented by his circular spectacles, giving the man an undoubtedly sophisticated look to his face. "Sir, are you the one behind this marvellous ride?" The young boy asked. "Why yes, actually." The rather tired sounding man responded. "My name is Doctor Ivo Julian Robotnik. Everything you see around you is Robotnik land, the culmination of my mind, heart, and soul… with some invaluable help from my nephew Snively. Robotnik turned and looked at what was a small gray haired platypus with a black-gray bill, who's hair was neatly combed to the side and had black stripes within them, and wore circular spectacles, quite similar to his own, though with yellow lenses. The boy wore a magenta, button-up coat, with violet sleeves. The boy even wore clean white gloves, and black dress shoes. Ivo could most certainly tell this boy was well mannered and respectful, not like the boys who had been hounding him throughout South Island. "Well young man, who might you be?" Robotnik had inquired. The boy stammered to find his words for a moment, but began to speak. "Starline, sir." He responded. "I had heard there was a theme park being built here, and I decided to see for myself. I must say, I am not disappointed by any means.". "Well I am glad you like it, Starline." Ivo responded. To see a child actually appreciate his work was rather relieving for him as of late to say the least. "Tell me, are you a boy who appreciates science?". Starline's eyes lit up in excitement. "Oh, do I ever, Doctor Robotnik!" He answered with abundant enthusiasm. "It's what I'm best at in school. My family has been so proud of my academic accomplishments as of late even. The other day, I was able to repair the broken receiver on our television, and even amplify the reception. We have access to many more channels now.". Ivo chuckled in delight. "That is very impressive." Ivo complimented. Ivo knelt down on one knee and placed a hand on Starline's shoulder. "Starline, you remind me of myself at a young age. I can tell you have the potential to become a great scientist. You keep up the good work and you make your family proud.". Starline was practically hyperventilating. In that exact moment, he felt inspired.

"Thank you sir! I will!" Starline said. Suddenly, a ringing came from the hovercraft behind Robotnik. "Oh. Pardon me, I need to take care of this." Ivo hopped into the pod and answered the communicator. "Is something the matter, Snively?" Ivo had asked. "Another attack, uncle." Snively said with a weary voice. "I'll be right there." Ivo sighed. Ivo hung up the communicator and pressed the buttons to elevate his hovercraft. Starline stepped back in amazement as the pod began to take flight. Ivo turned and looked at Starline one last time. "I apologize to you Starline, but my nephew requires my assistance with some rather pressing urges.". "I-I-It's quite alright." He stammered, still in amazement. "It's nearing my curfew anyways, so I had best be getting home soon.". "You've got a good head on your shoulders, Starline." Ivo nodded. "Keep up your work and you may one day be able to build things like these." As Starline waved goodbye, still in awe at the sights he had just beheld, Ivo flew off. "What a nice young man." Ivo thought to himself. "Not like those three brats who followed me from Christmas Island.". "But it's not just them, now the notorious Battle Kukku… part of me is starting to think none of this is wort- What am I saying?! No way am I throwing all of this away!" Ivo stated, shaking his head. He had upgraded his robots in response to the constant Battle Kukku, he knew how to fight back. If he didn't know, he certainly had to now, given the constant assault from multiple sides.

As he reached his destination, he saw that his animal capsule had been destroyed and Snively covered in ashes. "Snively! Are you alright!?'' Asked Ivo. "I-i'll be fine, uncle. What should we do now?" Snively asked back, as he got up off the floor. "We simply continue to up our defenses and keep working. Now go ahead to the next zone." Ivo told his nephew. Snively simply nodded as he made his way into his personal hovercraft and floated off to the next location. Robotnik looked around the area and noticed that the capsule had suffered some explosive damage. Ivo pressed a button in his hovercraft and a single spike protruded from the bottom of it. He lowered his vehicle down and punctured a damaged floor board. He started to twirl his mustache in thought of what rides to make next, before being interrupted by a rather aggressive bump to the back of his hovercraft. "I saw it! You were twirling your mustache like an evil genius!" Said Sonic as he pointed his index finger at Robotnik. Ivo turned around to see the little blue hedgehog, still baffled and annoyed as to why he's followed him this far. "I was pondering you brat! You know how sometimes you'll scratch your chin in thought? Well this is just how I do it. Now stay out of the way, I'm trying to remove these floor boards." Ivo explained to him, with much annoyance in his voice. "Yeah, I guess you'd know about that. I mean you got like… what, five chins?" Sonic joked. Ivo growled a little, but tried his best to ignore him as he continued working. "I bet your removing these so that I can't follow you!" Sonic claimed. Ivo's expression suddenly changed from annoyance to pleasant realization that it sounded brilliant. Ivo's actions suddenly started to become faster, but Sonic took notice of this. "Oh no you don't!" He said, jumping forward and thrashing against Ivo's hovercraft. "AAARRRGGGHH! Blasted child! I'm not letting you stop me! These floorboards are coming out, and I will no longer be bombarded by you and your friends!" Ivo proclaimed as he quickly pierced the spike into another floorboard and yanked it out with gumption. Sonic quickly jumped forward and kicked the front of the hovercraft, sending both it and Sonic a small distance apart from one another. "Floorboards aren't gonna stop me!" Sonic said as he landed onto the floor, sliding back a bit from the momentum of his kick. "Nothing's gonna stop me from putting an end to your evil-" "IT'S NOT EVIL, YOU NITWIT!" Ivo interrupted as he slammed his hand onto a button, plunging the spike through yet another floorboard. "IT'S A THEME PARK! A THEME PARK! ALL I WANT IS TO BUILD A THEME PARK!" Ivo grabs hold of the steering mechanism in the cockpit and yanks it to him, causing the hovercraft to shoot upward and tear out the floorboard, nearly snapping it in half. Sonic could see Robotnik was becoming enraged. It scared him a little. But Sonic isn't one to show fear. If Robotnik is getting mad, that would make him prone to slipping up. Sonic's remarks only served to make taking him down easier. So Sonic just smirked as he stood up straight and kicked a rock he saw lying on the ground right at the windshield of the hovercraft. "Theme park, huh?" Sonic taunted. "How stupid do you think I am?" Ivo began gritting his teeth as he pushed forward and rammed into Sonic, knocking him down. "You are incredibly stupid!" He yelled as he kept flying past Sonic and into the sky. "Stupid STUPID STUPID CHILD!"

Ivo began taking a deep breath. Feeling the breeze on his skin as he whisked through the air was calming. He turned his head back to make sure he didn't actually hurt the boy, seeing his two friends helping him up. He quickly felt a jolt as the bottom of his hovercraft scraped against a tree, knocking the spike clean off. The spike had landed somewhere behind some rocks, hitting the ground perfectly within the opening of a large ring. Ivo saw the three boys stop to inspect the large ring, and took a sigh of relief as they stopped chasing him. "Snively, do you copy?" Ivo said as he turned on his communicator. "Yes Uncle, I was able to get into the labyrinth as planned." Snively answered, with a bit of static coming from his end. The inside of an old temple doesn't exactly provide the best reception. "Excellent. I will meet you there so we can begin gathering fish for our aquarium section." Ivo said. "Do take the alternate route, Uncle." Snively managed to get through to Ivo's end. "The Jungle Zone is currently being patrolled by Battle Kukku soldiers." Ivo groaned. "Well, that's two capsules we've officially lost to them, I suppose." He said in exhaustion. "What of the boys who have been following us?" Snively asked. Ivo turned his head back around to see the boys were gone, not noticing the large ring had seemingly moved position, as the spike was no longer perfectly in it's center. Ivo groaned yet again. "They seem to have gone off somewhere." He said. "Likely not back to Christmas Island, given our current luck." Snively remarked. "Shut up Snively." Ivo ordered. The last thing he wanted to hear was somebody smart mouthing him. "Yes sir." Snively quickly responded, sounding rather worried. His uncle had never been so brash with him before. "Ugh… Sorry about that." Ivo said. "It's been one of those days. I'll be there shortly. Over and out." Ivo hung up the communicator and increased the speed of his pod, dashing off at high speed.

As for the large ring, or Warp Ring as the boys were calling it, it began to glow as it elevated itself off of the ground and the sound of crackling began to go off like fireworks. A vortex opened from within the ring's center, and out hopped the three boys. Sonic and Johnny had landed perfectly on their feet, but Porker landed on his stomach. "Fascinating…" Porker said as he got up and dusted himself off. "I never suspected such things could be." . "Pretty cool, huh guys?" Sonic said as he held a large purple emerald in his hand. "That place is a little too weird for my tastes." Johnny said. "As much interest as I'm taking in these rings and their peculiar abilities, I'm certainly not built for traversing the terrain they lead to." Porker said. "I think it's best I go in by myself next time, guys." Sonic said as he tossed Porker the purple emerald. Porker fumbled to maintain a proper grip for a second as he didn't see Sonic's throw coming, but quickly got a proper hold and placed it inside of his inner jacket pocket. "Well, they don't seem like any trouble for you to get through." Johnny noted. "Of course not." Sonic replied. "I've done more dangerous jumps at the skate park back home than in that place." . "Very true." Johnny admitted. "Alright then, I guess we're following Eggman that way?" Johnny pointed to a large jungle just up ahead of them. It was hard to see into it, on account of all the vines draped across the palm trees. Porker's legs began to shake at the thought of going into an unknown jungle. Sonic looked over to see Porker shaking. "Buddy, we just left some crazy limbo after going through a ring that warped us to who knows where." Sonic said, as he began to tap his foot. "Are you seriously scared of a little wilderness after that?" Porker just shrugged. Sonic simply sighed as he grabbed Porker by the sleeve of his jacket and pulled him with him towards the jungle entrance as Johnny walked beside them. "Come on slowpoke, and try to keep up, will ya?". "I've been keeping up just fine." Johnny responded in a slightly annoyed tone. Who knows what awaits Sonic and his companions next within this unfamiliar Jungle Zone.
