Luca entered the classroom and found his desk. It was no doubt he loved school—something he quickly realised human children hated. Sure, there was homework and such, but Luca didn't mind. It seemed like a new adventure and a brand new chapter in his life that he'd never experienced before. Hell, they don't have school under the sea, that's for sure.
He daydreamed about Alberto every second that he could barely focus.
"Mr. Paguro?" the teacher said. "You're my best student. I hate to see you after class."
"Oh, uh, sorry!" Luca cried. "It won't happen again, I promise!"
"It better not," said the English teacher. "What's on your mind, Luca? You know you can talk to me."
"It's just...," Luca said. He began hyperventilating and sweating all over. His face was red. "A boy I like."
"Oh, crushes are normal for a boy your age, Luca. I'm not surprised you've started having feelings for another person. Does he go here?"
"Unfortunately not," Luca said. His mind just switched back to the lesson. "Sorry to waste your time, Mrs. Russo. Please continue."
"Very well," Mrs. Russo said, going up to the board and continuing her lecture.
An hour later, class ended.
"Luca, can you come here for a second?" Mrs. Russo said. "Don't worry. You're not in trouble. I just wanna talk to you."
"Uh, sure thing, Mrs. Russo," Luca said. "I'd love to!"
He went over to her desk, smiling.
"Go get him, tigre!" Mrs. Russo said with a smile.
