'I've got another mission to leave on in a few hours, so please make this fast.' Nate requested.

'I will.' Hetty replied.

'What did you need me for today?'

'4 years ago, I lost someone I really cared about. At 1 point, I thought I was handling it well, but traumatic events of the year after would prove otherwise. These past 4 years, I've been dealing with feeling broken inside, feeling like I've failed my team, and feeling lost, and I'm done with it all!' Hetty said.

'Okay. Explain why you've been feeling all these feelings. The 'brokenness' is you trying to process what you went through in Vietnam, and anything else you may have gone through these past 4 years that I don't know about?' Nate asked.

'Correct.'

'The failure part?'

'I couldn't stop the Mexico mission from happening, and I felt so awful afterwards, I didn't want to return home feeling like I was feeling. So, I took on a long mission to try and help myself heal.' Hetty replied.

'That feeling returned after Akos, right?'

'Right. I thought that, with Mr. Callen's help, I could've shaken that feeling quickly, but I couldn't.'

'And the part where you're feeling lost? What brought that on?' Nate asked.

'I don't really know for sure. But I think it has to do with me missing having a partner.'

'After hearing all of this, here's what I can say: You lost your partner, that's hard on anyone in this business. It's completely natural to still feel grief over the loss. And in this case, it's not just grief you've been feeling, it's everything else.' Nate said.

'Yes. And I'm done with feeling of it! What do I do to get rid of it all?'

'For starters, can you avoid taking on missions that force you away from here for long periods of time? I know what you're doing is most likely important work, but well, you know.'

'I can definitely try!' Hetty responded.

'My next advice: Take it easy on yourself. These feelings don't just evaporate overnight because you want them to, especially with how long you've been feeling them. Take things slowly and remember, this team has your full support.'

'Got it, thanks Nate!'
