A/N: Guyyyys, this last month has been nothing short of a nightmare. I've lived on three different continents, multiple different countries and OF COURSE it would be the one time where I lived in a warm place that we would have a crazy ass blizzard that takes away our power/water/ and internet.
In addition, that, shortly before the storm started, I began taking medication/steroids for recovering from this insane pandemic.
Long story short, I think everything is finally starting to settle down. Fingers crossed.
In her life, Kagome Higurashi had more surprises than she could remember. Yet, out of all of them, none of them stumped her as much as Buyo. The more time she spent with Rin and the feline, the more she had begun to believe that the world really did have some serious explaining to do.
For one, she was almost positive her Buyo, and this Buyo were one and the same. So, being the curious feline, she was, she focused on solving the mystery before her.
"When you—uhhh-transform, how do you look?"
The question had been simple enough, but it seemed that the feline child did not quiet understand
"Like that of a cat."
With such a response, the Miko told herself to have patience. Thinking back, she tried to remember traits that Buyo had that could help in such an identification. Without thinking it through, she interrogated the child further
"When you're in your form, are you…pudgy and spotted?"
"Kagome!" The shock and disbelief in Rins voice was apparent, and reluctantly, Kagome admitted to herself that perhaps, she could have worded it another way.
Sighing in frustration she tried to not reveal too much about her time traveling antics.
"What color is your tail?"
Before the poor cat could answer, she continued.
"White, brown and black?"
When the feline nodded in surprise, Kagome groaned.
Could it be?
Was it truly possible that her rescued stray turned domesticated feline was actually…a domesticated youkai? Cringing, the Miko silently prayed for the gods to provide her answers. Almost as if to purposely ignore such a request, the Gods seemed to all but disregard it with an irritated clearing of the throat.
Looking up in surprise, the feline came face to face with a certain Daiyoukai.
"Perhaps if you are done insulting my staff, we could move on to your true purpose here? Education."
Huffing at the tone in his voice, Kagome reminded herself to be more discreate in her journey for answers.
