A/N: Listen guys, I'm not sure what it is about me being sick that brings out my muses. It's almost as if they are like "Damn, Lyuba—If you're going to be sick at least write some more chapters!" Honestly, I'm not sure. This whole year or two have been crazy. Anyway, here's to hopefully a healthier year and the end of this pandemic!

Hope everyone is staying safe.

Life was always about balance.

This is what Kagome reminded herself daily.

Yet, if the universe had given her such a gift, what had it expected back? Or was it going to be a blank request to be utilized in the future? Even now, at midnight and having spend several weeks at the palace, she questioned her existence.

What had the gods seen her to be able to do as a feline that she was unable to do as a time traveling human?

Or, had this always been how everything was going to unfold?

For weeks, she had questioned Buyo, and after all that time, she was no closer to answers.

After such a realization, Kagome Higurashi and her feline self realized that, for now, they would have to work together.

Koga.

Her beast had spoken. To her surprise, Kagome could not argue with such a request. After weeks of schooling and education about youkai pups and their beasts, she had grown more comfortable with the voice inside her head.

The beast was not wrong. If nothing else, she not only would need the wolf prince to help solve this mystery. Yet, in the back of her mind, she knew that both the beast and herself had additional reasons for wanting to seek out the wolf.

He was a comfort that they both now longed for.

Everything in the palace was almost night and day difference from her life with the wolves.

In the caves, she had family. Here, she only had Rin and Buyo.

There, the wolf prince was affectionate. Here, the Daiyoukai was frigid and harsh.

With the wolf pack, there was an open environment and comradery. With the House of the Moon, there were only polite bows and hushed whispers.

While both territories has powerful Alphas, they were different as can be.

With weeks at the palace and months with the Daiyoukai, the miko turned feline had made a decision. She would need to escape. With such a realization, came plans. To leave, she would have to be unnoticed. For a week, she had quizzed Buyo if such a thing was possible.

Vaguely.

"I mean, the only time Lord Sesshoumaru has had any issue tracking someone was with you…as a kitten." But the moment Buyo had released such knowledge, he had quietly gasped and instantly shut his mouth.

With a sly smirk, the miko gave the feline a devious look.

"Don't"

But Kagome paid him no mind.

In fact, she simply skipped away as more plans formed in her head.

A/N: Okay, it's going to slow down more from here and longer chapters. So yay! :)
