Wow. Just, wow.
How long has it been since I last updated this thing? Two, three years? I had to have been like, 13 the last time I even wrote a chapter? And now I'm going on 16!
I want to formally apologize to everybody who became invested in this story. I fell in love with the plotline and formed such a strong attachment to all these characters. I made friends with my followers and got countless reviews which brightened my day every time I read them, and then I gave up completely. I left so many people hanging on such a random cliffhanger, and threw away all my plans and ideas for the future of the story.
This is all due in part to the hectic schedule I've endured. I believe my last update to this story was when I was in early eighth grade possibly? I'm now a sophomore in high school and I've never been more busy and stressed out. I'm taking a Pre-AP English class and I've become involved in playing on lacrosse team, as well as keeping up with a social life. I've even been doing book signings and speeches to classes about my book that I probably mentioned a few chapters back. It's basically been completely wild.
Anyhow, I reread some key parts of the story as well as the last handful of chapters. The Warriors fandom has become a distant memory to me - I'm now engrossed in other fandoms such as Steven Universe, Voltron, Star vs. the Forces of Evil and more.
But, that being said.
Warriors will always hold a special place in my heart. Without it, I never would have discovered my interest in the concept of computer animation, and my art and writing styles would not be what they are today. I probably wouldn't even have written my book, or met most of my closest IRL friends and my best online friends through WCP.
Which is why I'm considering writing this again.
Now here's the ultimate decision I've been struggling with for the past few days.
This story has about 30 chapters to its name, and many of these chapters took hours to write. The story has been well-established and the characters all have set designs and personalities and backstories and such.
But I started writing this story when I was 11. I'll be 16 in about three months. Going back to the earliest chapters, I can pick out details that I'd love to change and characters who I'd love to expand upon in ways that I simply didn't know how to do at the time.
This is why I'm struggling to make a decision. The decision being, should I pick up where I left off and continue the story from the last chapter, or should I rewrite it completely? The storyline would not change, it would just look and sound better.
Of course, there's the issue of rewriting 30 chapters before actually getting on to the rest of the story, and there's a certain sentimentality and connection I have to this FanFic, what with all the responses I wrote to reviews and the followers and friends who I gained through it.
I have a difficult decision to make, and of course there's the issue of whether or not I will actually find the time in my insane high school schedule to continue writing this old story. But I want to hear from you guys.
Please, if you're an old follower and by some insane chance you decided to check FanFiction of all places (I know Wattpad and Ao3 are much, much bigger sites now) and saw this update, please leave a review. It would really motivate me to know that there are still people out there waiting for me to make a return with Twistedfoot and her tale.
But until then, this is Rainy, signing off!
Thanks everybody.
