After I've left the building, I turn and see that it looks just like the Galactic building in Veilstone City. Cyrus actually built this below the Titans radar? I shake my head and sigh, then try to find my way back to the bay.
I walk past a dark alleyway and notice the shadows waver: Raven.
"What did he do to you?" she asks me.
"He wanted to know who I was," I tell her. "How I got here. Etcetera, etcetera. Exactly what you guys wanted to know."
"And what did you say?"
"Seriously?" I ask her frustrated. "I told him exactly what I told you. It's not like I got any more answers on my way here."
"And what did you learn from him?"
I shrug. I know she's part of the good guys and Cyrus part of the bad, but part of me was uncertain if I should really divulge any information.
"You know I can sense your emotions, right?" Raven says to me. "I've learned to interpret them into ideas. I know you learned something."
I sigh and tell her what I learned. How Cyrus got here, when, why. Also what he's done with his time. I thought while I'm at it, tell her about his Pokémon.
She nodded silently as I explained what I learned from him, her understanding of what I tell her accompanied by her empathic ability making her the perfect one to divulge this information to.
I ended my explanation saying, "please don't make me explain myself again when we get back. I've done it enough times already,"
"No need," she says as she pulls out her communicator. "Did you get that?" she says into it.
"Yes, we did," Robin's voice says on the other end. He was listening the whole time? Really?!
We finally reach the bay and Cyborg is waiting with a boat to take us back to the tower. Must everything of his be electric blue and high-tech? We load up on the boat and return to the tower.
"So lemme see if I understand this correctly: both you and Cyrus are from different worlds from this one, came here in similar ways, but yours was unintentional." Robin says in summary.
"It appears what we need to do now is to recreate this portal," Raven adds, "and return you both to your respective worlds."
I shrug. "That makes as much sense to me as anything else."
"But we don't have the creatures that did it nor do we have any idea how they do it," Cyborg says.
We all go silent for a moment. Then I speak up, "but there are more than likely people in this world who are capable of manipulating time and space. All we gotta do is find them and ask for their aid."
By now, none of them questioned me on how I know these things. Instead I was asked, "Who do you have in mind?"
"I think I know of someone who just might be able to help," I say in a less than confident tone, "but it's a huge long shot."
"Who?"
"Uh…Ambush Bug?"
My mention of them caused a group-wide groan.
"Look, I did say it was a long shot, but it may be the only shot we have."
"We'll…consider it."
After sometime trying to figure out what to do and my Ambush Bug suggestion ultimately getting scrapped, we are all back at square one.
Beast Boy, being an odd combination of discouraged and optimistic, suggested we take a break and go out for some lunch. He turns to me. "Ever tried banana on pizza?"
"I'm kinda surprised at the fact that I'm surprised such a thing exists."
With that, we all hop into Cyborg's car and head into town.
