It rains.

She comes back through the well to a drizzle and lets out a whoop of excitement because there is no one to hear. Quickly pulling an umbrella from her overstuffed pack, she turns in the direction opposite the village and heads for the cave.

The rain begins to fall harder as she walks, a ridiculous smile on her face. But she doesn't mind, and she's able to stay dry.

That smile falters when she reaches the cave.

It is dark and empty with no sign of him, and she enters it to find the woodpile she stocked undisturbed.
