Summary/disclaimer: time for another chapter of Future Endeavor Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Ben Ten, Cartoon Network and a few others do.
(Earth, 17 years ago)
13-year-old Gwen rolled to the side as the creature… no, a 'Necrofriggian' as the Omnitrix called it, descended upon her. Claws bared in annoyance at her.
She clicked the watch and chose the flaming alien who then unleashed a torrent of fire upon the alien. Mason hummed and continued to think of what to do next as he dodged the blast of flames at his head.
This was blocked by a cold stream of ice from his mouth as he flew to the ground.
"I don't want to fight you, hand over the Omnitrix." She heard and looked at the alien hybrid. She knew very well who it was as he hummed. She would find who had controlled him and fought him.
He had puffs of brownish hair sticking out of his head and had blueish eyes, but the humanity seemed only limitied to the blackish jumpsuit cloaking his body.
He looked at her before forming ice maces around his fists and rushing her.
Gwen retalitaed with a blast of flames that was countered by a burst of ice.
The hybrid turned intangible and flew through her. he stopped as Gwen froze over, ice covering her Pyronite form in frost.
Gwen overheated her body and shattered the cold shards before facing the being.
"Shattering." He joked before Gwen rolled her eyes and launched fireballs at him.
He twirled around them only for the last fireball to hit his wings. He crashed to the ground before using his wings to block another fireball.
Gwen powered up another blast of heat while the hybrid did the same with his ice breath.
The duo unleashed their full power upon the other. Max and the others could see steam float around the duo while they continued their dance of battle.
(Present times)
Mason hummed and looked around before Gwen looked at her family.
Jen sat crossarmed on the couch and looked at her mother with a roll of her eyes.
Her eyes were green like Gwen's. She had slight tinges of blue around her shoulders and legs.
A result of being 25% Necrofriggan. She took a breath of super chilled air and brushed back her alburn hair. Jen looked up from her magic book.
"Dad, mom is home! Danny, stop messing with the watch!" Jen hissed before she jumped off the arm to the ground.
It made her bemused to have such a family that looked out for her so much. Very bemused and very annoyed at the moment. She had a lot to think about, the magic studying and mana.
"Yah, Danny! Hands off mom's watch!" Danny looked at his siblings and shied away.
He looked slightly less like a full Necrofriggian, but the alien heritage was visable.
His eyes were a sharp blue, he had blackish brown hair sticking up out of the hood of his wings. He had patches of Necrofriggian skin on his arms, legs and his arms were more clawed but entirely part human. He smiled a gap of alien teeth at his sisters despite his sheepish nature.
"Kids, behave… Jen, just because your 12 doesn't mean you can boss around your brother. I know Danny is 10, but that doesn't make you the boss of him." Mason stated before he looked at Gwen who crossed her arms.
"She's studying with Charmcaster… her mana skills are improving, her ego isn't." he heard Danny chuckle before he was forced to block a kick from Jen.
He rolled his eyes and sighed before returning his gaze to his wife.
"You know, sometimes I prefer fighting robbers to changing diapers." Mason stated with an alien smirk of amusment, his humanity shining through.
"Yeah, but you have the real hero work… besides, you take patrol work from the plumbers… I don't." Mason rolled his eyes and chuckled with amusement.
"I see you still have the same jokes you do when we met… then again, there was a lot more fighting and threats to destroy the other back then." Mason turned to the kids and crossed his arms.
"Kids? I told you to get your shoes on and get ready to go to dinner… Jen? I suggest you go and get ready to leave unless you want your phone taken away… again." Jen sighed and nodded before snapping her fingers and teleporting away.
"I really wonder how she got the 'spark' your aunt has… She's supposed to be starting school soon.. least the plumbers are nice enough to run school for alien hybrids." Mason muttered before looking at his son.
"Danny? Please go and make sure that your sister listens and doesn't do something bad. I know she's still mad because she didn't get the watch…" Mason watched his son unfurl his wings and chase after his sibling.
Mason sighed and rubbed at his eyes with annoyance before looking at his wife.
"So, how are things?" Mason asked with amusement. Gwen could only smirk in amusement.
