Summary/disclaimer: time for another chapter of Future Endeavor Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Ben Ten, Cartoon Network and a few others do.

(Earth, Bellwood, currently)

"And then Captain Sumo rebuilt the school… why is the only hero still around in Bellwood Sumo Slammers?" Mason asked his wife who rolled her eyes and peeled off socks that appartantly did more harm to her feet then anything.

Jen and Danny were busy trying to pass out. Neither had school yet, but it was still something the children wanted to relax for.

"Did you tell them we're going to the water park tomorrow?" Mason shook his head as he and Gwen closed the door on their children's room.

It warmed Gwen and Mason's hearts to know they went from consantly struggling against alien threats ripping across the galaxy to being content parents.

"No, but if you'd like to be the one who reads them another story considering how they'd react…" Mason stated as he and Gwen walked to their room.

"No, but you do need to tell them sooner or later. They do have a right to know." Gwen had changed from her clothes into a pair of grey sweatpants and a blue t shirt.

Mason almost wanted to do a joke about her never being seen without blue clothing, but Gwen had already heard several.

That also helped when it came down to it, Gwen's cousin was almost never seen without gween in his wardrobe.

Gwen slid feet first into bed before slowly looking at Mason who did the same.

"You know he's going to come back sooner or later… for real this time." Gwen stated, Mason did a hum, knowing Gwen was right.

Gwen's last battle with Vilgax was in orbit of Galvin Prime. The crusading warlord had tried to kidnap Azmuth to force him to build something to counter the Omnitrix, threatening his world when Azmuth already denined ever working on something that would help Vilgax destroy the entire galaxy.

Part of Mason considered Azmuth not wishing to work on such a device partly due to his own ego… and then he crushed that part of himself and threw it away.

Mason didn't take too much part in the battle, Vilgax had targeted and beat Mason unconcious when it came down to it. that was enough to drive Gwen into going into full attack mode and ripping apart the entire Chemerian Hammer along with Vilgax's entire drone army.

All Mason knew when he was able to pull himself from being concious? He had gone from being asleep to knowing that Vilgax was well and truly believed to have been obliterated in the explosion of the ship's core.

Mason doubted it killed Vilgax. The monster had survived everything Gwen did to him and he would continue to go after her.

"I'm glad you zone out all the time." Gwen teased as she nestled into Mason's side.

He sighed and rolled his eyes before resting his head on his wife's and smiling. Mason couldn't believe he went from being a dangerous weapon of the now disbanded forever Rooters to being the husband of the greatest hero in the entire galaxy.

Things didn't become much more better then that if he was honest. Mason sighed and rolled his eyes.

"You know their going to need a sitter sooner or later. They arent going to be able to come with us when we go to space to deal with Plumber Business." Mason stated to Gwen who sleepily nodded.

Both wanted to be the best parents they could be for their children. Gwen had started a collage fund for them when they were still in daipers… much to the amusement of everyone present who loved to point out Gwen had become a bit to involved in the future of her children.

Mason worried about the kids taking after them too much. Danny getting the Omnitrix as Gwen had created one for her son on his 10th birthday. Jen though had been jealous enough to question why their son got presents like that but not her.

Then she started to show signs of being an Anodite again. Mason decided to go against contacting Verdona only on the advice from Gwen that Verdona would take their daughter away from them and they'd never see her again.

Mason had allowed Charmcaster, who now went by 'Hope' when she wasn't on the clock or not busy, to handle their daughter. It took a lot to convince Gwen to let the former villainess near their daughter.

"Vilgax comes back, I'll throw him into space again like I did when the watch started breaking down." Gwen muttered and kicked her leg into Mason's.

"Your feet are super cold." Mason grumbled to Gwen's amusement as she grew a smirk on her sleeping face and turned to look around.

Everything they had was nothing but hard work and dedication from two parents who invested so much in the future of their family.

Little did they know what tomorrow would bring for them.
