Summary/disclaimer: time for another chapter of Future Endeavor Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Ben Ten, Cartoon Network and a few others do.

(Earth, Bellwood, Present Day)

"Should I deal with the rest of the thugs or do you have it?" Mason asked before the last two thugs were wrapped in Vines. Mason looked over at Gwen to see her turn back from Roseate, her Florauna form.

"Never mind." Mason said before leaping off the ice sculpture of one of the thugs. He could already make out the sirens of the police in the distance. It made him turn to look at Gwen.

"We're done for the day." Gwen said before Mason nodded. "That was all Grandpa Max said was happening, anyway." Gwen said which made Mason raise an eyebrow.

"I thought Magister Tennison retired from the plumbers." Mason said which caused Gwen to let out a sigh and turn into Celerity and race off. "I hate when she does that." Mason said before spreading his wings and flying.

"You know you promised Jen and Danny movie night if they finished their chores early?" Mason questioned Gwen over his Plumber Badge. He looked at it as it sat in his pocket.

"Yes, and I also said for them not to pick out any horror movies or they're not getting movie night." Gwen responded as she raced through Bellwood. She slid under a parked car, setting off the alarm.

"Heh." Mason said to himself, chuckling quietly enough for Gwen not to hear. "Anyway, they were doing nothing but talking about popcorn and which movie they could watch. I can't really talk them out of it. They did do all of their chores… Without superpowers, dear." Mason added as they arrived back at home.

"Well, then I'll deal with that when it comes down to it." Gwen said while Mason hummed and raised an eyebrow at her. "Did you tell them that they can't stay up that late, though?" Gwen asked while the door opened.

"Kids, did I tell you about curfew at night?" Mason asked in a teasing tone which caused Gwen to glare at him. Mason smirked playfully at his wife.

"Yeah, get to bed at ten and don't stay up." Jen said as Mason smirked at Gwen once more. "Right, mom?" Jen asked Gwen playfully.

"And you say they have my sense of humor." Gwen muttered before walking inside past her daughter. Gwen peeled her sneakers off as Mason looked at Jen.

"Your mother used to tease your Uncle Ben all the time as a kid." Mason said while cracking a smile. "Kind of like how you always mess with Danny so much." Mason said with a smile which his daughter replicated.

"It's nice to know my husband and daughter enjoy teasing me." Gwen muttered while cracking her back as she stretched her legs. She looked around and raised an eyebrow. "Jen, where is Danny?" Gwen asked only to get pointed upstairs.

"He's been in his room all day reading." Jen said while letting out a yawn. "I'll be right back, food is calling." Jen said before phasing through the ground.

"You know just because I make jokes doesn't mean I'm not serious." Gwen said which caused Mason to put his hands on his hips. "You love to bring up my sense of humor, don't you?" Gwen asked as she crossed her arms.

"It's one of the best things about you." Mason said with a smile. "Besides, you ALWAYS used to snark at Ben as a kid. Remember? I was there some of the times you called him a doofus?" Mason questioned Gwen which caused her to roll her eyes.

"Yes, and I also remember all the times you blushed when I used to look at you." Gwen said with a smirk as Mason scratched the top of his head and looked at the wall. "What, now you get cold feet?" Gwen teased as Mason rolled his eyes.

"Ok, now THAT was in terrible taste." Mason muttered as Gwen hummed and shrugged before going to get popcorn. "I'll go check on Danny and make sure he and Jen are ready for bed. They already know that their going to bed." Mason added while letting out a sigh. A breath of cold air expanded from his lips.

Gwen knew for a fact that the kids would probably watch a sci fi movie… Then again? Gwen knew Jen and Danny well enough to predict them. Jen and Danny might just want to watch a Sumo Slammers movie.

"Oh, I swear to god if Ben makes them geek out over that action figure…" Gwen muttered to herself while grabbing popcorn from the cupboard. "Then again? They do love Ben a lot. And I am glad that they love Lucy and Grandpa Max." Gwen whispered to herself while she turned around to walk across the room.

"Ok, I think the microwave is broken… Mom, are you going to make popcorn up here?" Jen asked from the staircase.

"You didn't plug it back in, did you?" Gwen questioned her daughter who smiled sleepily and floated down the stairs.
