"No! This cannot be happening!" I groan and bury my face in my hands. "Are you okay, Mari?" Cat looks up from the book he's reading. "No, my sewing machine is busted!" I swivel in my chair to look at him.

Its Saturday and Cat and I are having a lazy day, but that just ended thanks to my now busted machine. "I have clients that need to pieces," I glare at the machine. "Careful, Princess. Save your anger for Hawkmoth," he teases. I turn to glare at him. "Not helping," I say. "Meow-och! The Princess is viscous with her barbed words," Cat smiles at me. This Cat is going to get it. I saunter over to my bed, where there is ammunition in the form of a pillow. "you done? Or are you going to make more jokes?" I ask, holding my pillow ready. "Pawsibly, Princess."

"That's it," I say, giggling and whack him with the pillow. He determined and he raises his left hand. "Cataclysm!" My poor pillow and feathers start to fly everywhere. "oops! Sorry, Mari! Achoo!"

Yep, this is my life when I'm not a superhero. "You owe me a new pillow, Mr. I'm Allergic To Feathers!" Cat sneezes another time. "And one top of that you'll destransform soon," I pout. "Right, shoot. We'll go pick up a new pillow this afternoon, Princess."

I walk over to him, taking both of his hands. "There's one more thing," I say, and I kiss him. His lips and soft and comforting, and despite his teasing I couldn't ask for a better partner or best friend.

"Thank you, Princess." I move my hands so they lock around his neck. "You don't know how special you are," I say and lock eyes with him. The only thing that separates us is his ring beeping. "Go, I'll be here," I say. I take out my phone, thinking I'll text Alya or Zoe for ideas about my poor sewing machine. "Somehow, I doubt you'd be disappointed without a mask, Princess," he says.

After he's gone I start texting.

Mari: Hey, girls! Sewing machine is busted! Any money ideas?

Alya: The Kitty Strikes Back!

Mari: Its wasn't his fault, but he did wreck one of my pillows.

Zoe: Is Lord Kitty there?

Mari: Yeah, he's here. Planning more mischief.

Cat has just walked back in the room, and I swear his eyes are gleaming.

Mari: Prince Charming has entered!

Alya: I thought you needed ideas?!

Mari: I do!

Zoe: Can we come over? I must learn from the Feline Master of Puns!

Mari: We'll be here!

"The girls are coming over," I say, starting to put my phone down. "Cat, we need to make lunch!" I didn't realize the time. We hurry downstairs and I get the water ready for spaghetti. Cat butters the bread and after I the noodles in the pot I make the salad.

I'm pulling a batch of cookies out of the oven, when the doorbell rings. "Cat, can you get that?" I ask.

He walks over to the door to let Alya and Zoe in. "The viewers what to know, Cat Noir! How do you come with your puns?" Alya zooms in on Cat's face. Cat looks adorable as he stares at the camera.

"I will never tell!" "Is that for the Ladyblog?" I ask, and we sit down at the table to eat. "Darn, I want to learn some puns," Zoe muttered, and she eats some her spaghetti. "You should totally read at the children's library, Marinette." "That's a great idea!" I hug Alya tightly, and tuck into my food. "Yeah, Mari loves…" I elbow Cat. I know what he's going to say, but I want it to be private. Cat and I have started reading to each other in the evenings before I go to bed. "This delicious cookie!" I say.

Under the table I text Cat.

Mari: That's our special thing. Lets have some secrets to ourselves.

Cat: Right, sorry.

Mari: Cat? I love you. Kiss

Cat: Back at you, Princess.

I look up and see Zoe and Alya staring at me. "What?" I ask, innocently. "You two lovebirds texting each other?" Alya asks. "So, what if we are?" I lean my head on Cat's shoulder. He kisses the top of my head then resumes eating.

"I'm going to call the library," I say, standing up. "Keep him out of trouble, girls," I say. Cat points to himself. "I'm a perfect angel," he says, his face lighting up. "More like perfect devil," I mutter as I walk out the room.

I get an appointment set for Monday after school. "Its all set!" I high-five Cat and the girls. "I start Monday!" New sewing machine here I come!

"We should celebrate," Cat says. "I'll treat you to Starbucks, girls," Cat says. "Ahem. Aren't you forgetting something?" I tease. Cat pretends to count on his fingers. "Nope!" Oh, this Cat! "The pillow?" "Right, the pillow!" I sigh, rolling my eyes. I love but…..

Quickly, we do up the dishes (its a amazing what teamwork can do!) and we set off. I slip my arm through Cat's as we walk. Zoe and Alya are behind us, talking. "I don't want this day to end, Princess."

His voice is different now, all teasing blown away. "I know. We'll make a movie night with popcorn," I say, and I take a deep breath. "With a story before I go home?" "I promise, Kitty."

Cat buys the pillow, surprising me, and Zoe finds some sparkly butterfly clips. Starbucks is busy and crowded so we order our drinks to go. We say goodbye to Zoe and Alya and head back home, heading up to my room once were home.

"There," I say. "Back where it belongs," I say. Its almost like it never left my bed.

Two days later…..

"Hi. I'm Marinette. I'm here as the story time leader?" I ask. "Yes, of course, Marinette. Please follow me," the library assistant says.

There about ten to fifteen kids sitting down waiting for me, and my heart starts beating fast. I'm not exactly nervous, about I wish Adrien or Cat was here. Adrien kept looking at me and smiling dreamily, chin propped in his hand. My most secret wish is that Adrien Agreste is Cat Noir, because I really don't think me or my heart could choose between the two.

I start to read and the kids settle down, and I'm a bit surprised but happy. I find my rhythm and pretend I'm reading to Cat like a do at night. I read of couple of books and then the librarian tells the kids we will have a small break before reading the final book today. I stand up to stretch my legs, smoothing out some wrinkles in my skirt. I look up and see Adrien Agreste watching me from a low table. How long as he been here, and how did he know about this? I spent my whole weekend with Cat.

"Hi," I tell Adrien. "Your a great reader, Marinette. You really had my attention," Adrien says. "Thank you," I am at a loss for words. Adrien likes to be read to as well. I think his mom did it when he was younger and his dad doesn't have much time for him. Cat told me this (I guess he's friends with Adrien? One night when he said Adrien needed help, and I read a story to him as Ladybug.) Suddenly, I have an idea. "Adrien, would you like to read the last book today?" I ask.

I know Adrien wants to go into children's therapy some day, so he might enjoy this. He nods, and smile in his green eyes. "I love it. You'll be right here, right?" He does sound like my Cat.

I touch his hand, and he links my fingers through his. "I'm always here for you, Adrien." I can't look away from his green eyes. The moment is broken when the kids come back from snack-time.

"Okay, kids. I have a special treat for you," I say. "Adrien Agreste will read our last book today," I say, and even the librarian looks pleased.

"Our last book today kids, is about a...ladybug," I can hear the pause in Adrien's voice. I listen to Adrien read the story, his voice gentle and warm like golden sunshine.

"She confident, sweet and smiling," Adrien looks at me and smiles. "And that's why she's my everyday Ladybug," Adrien closes the book. He must of added that part for me, cause its his very special nickname.

"Thank you so much, Marinette. And you, Adrien," the librarian tells us, and she hands me my first check. (Sewing machine, here I come!)

Adrien and I walk out into the rain and I open my clear umbrella. Adrien steps closer to me, and I listen to the pitter-patter of rain, or is it my heart? Adrien doesn't say anything as he leans into kiss me. "You truly are my everyday Ladybug," he says, cupping my cheek. "And your my Cat Noir."
