Welcome back you gorgeous people!

Recap: Ana was having a really bad day at work. It was Friday 13th and Ana's day started with her losing a very promising author to another publishing house and then she spilled coffee all down her dress which she had to sit in for another meeting with a new author. When she finished work she was going to rush home to change so she can meet Kate for a dress fitting but she had a flat tyre so was running a little late for her dress fitting. Kate asked Elliot to change Ana's tyre so she would have it for work the next day but he was busy so Christian offered to change it for her. Taylor found that Ana's tyre had been stabbed by a screwdriver and Christian was worried about her so Ana told him that she had found out who the flowers were from, even though she still doesn't know who they're from. As Ana reached up to give Christian a peek on the cheek as a thank you, he went to do the same and they shared a very brief kiss.

Stalked: Chapter 4: Dinner Date (Saturday May 28th 2016)

Ana
What a week! I am so happy that it is Saturday because that means that it is girl's night. Kate called last night and said she had booked us a table at a nice restaurant in Seattle, Altura, we were going to drink some champagne and eat some cake and then head off to a bar for some cocktails. I am so ready for just a fun night out; since Kate and Elliot had gotten engaged it has just been nothing but wedding planning and if I'm honest, it is actually putting me off the idea of getting married me one day.

I never knew there was so much to plan; I honestly don't know my mother has done this 4 times. I thought having a wedding planner was supposed to help unload the burden of wedding planning but apparently not... however I think that is mainly because Kate is a control freak.

I knew that at Altura we were going to have a good table because when Kate told me that she had booked the table, she said she had booked it in the name 'Grey' which would ensure that we got the best service and the best table possible in the restaurant. Kate loves using the Grey name to book things and soon she will be a Grey herself and get to use it every day for the rest of her life. I really am so happy for her; I always knew she would marry well and eventually she would have a couple of gorgeous children but I never thought in a million years she would marry someone like Elliot Grey.

I smoothed my skirt down as I looked in the mirror at my outfit, Kate is going to be so impressed with me, Kate brought me this outfit and said I would never wear it. The top is a light aquamarine sleeveless silk v-neck top and the skirt is a cream lace high waisted floral patterned midi skirt. My peep toed heels were the same colour as the skirt. I decided to go with a black clutch bag for the essentials tonight; perfume, card, ID, keys and some emergency cash. Overall I think I look pretty damn good. I've put in a lot of effort tonight because I don't go out much and going out with Kate, meant I was going to be judged on my outfit.

I picked up my wine glass and finished the nice rose that was in there, I was going to pour myself one more before I left but looking at the time, the cab will be here any minute so I probably won't have time to finish it, and I hate wasting wine. I picked my phone up from the kitchen counter and slipped it into my clutch bag so I wouldn't forget it and just in time.

A car horn went off outside, I peeked out of the window and saw the cab I ordered had pulled up. I double checked my bag to make sure I had everything and left the living room light on so I could see where I was going when I came home later, probably very drunk. Once I was certain I had everything I left the apartment and went down to the cab.

"Ana Steele going to Altura?" The driver asked as I got in.

"That's me" I replied.

He gave me a kind smile in the rear view mirror before pulling away.

I cannot remember the last time Kate and I had a real girl's night, just the two of us, it's been so long. We're both real adults with our own lives now so we don't really have the time. Besides, Kate is so loved up with Elliot, has been so busy planning the wedding, and we've both been working long and hard hours that we hardly have time to do much else.

When I spoke to Kate earlier today about tonight, she sounded like a woman on a mission, she was out to get really drunk and let loose tonight. I can't lie, I'm looking forward to getting drunk, laughing and letting loose tonight as well.

Kate
Ana and Christian are going to kill me for this, Elliot agrees. However, if Ana and Christian could just see their feelings for one another themselves then I wouldn't have to go to such extreme lengths, like trick them into going on a date. It's quite simple really; last night I called Ana and told her that we were going to have a girls night and to get dressed up for dinner and then we were going to move onto a cocktail bar and just have a chilled out night with no wedding talk.

I told Ana that I had booked the table under the name 'Grey' so we would get a better table and thankfully she brought it. After getting Ana on board I then text Christian and told him to meet me and Elliot for dinner to go over some wedding arrangements, he didn't sound interested but he agreed because he knew as Elliot's best man he had to show up... he's also slightly scared of me so if I requested his presence, I knew he would agree.

Yes, I know I shouldn't be meddling like this but I've got no choice. Ana and Christian just need a little shove in the right direction. By my wedding day I want the two of them to be together. They will be in love and Ana will catch the bouquet, then Christian will propose and they'll get married and live happily ever after. They will then realise that none of that could have happened without me setting up this date. They are going to thank me for this one day and realise it was all for the greater good.

I understand there might be some anger at first but that will disappear when they realise that it needed to happen. Elliot doesn't agree with my plan and wants me to call the whole thing off but I can't. Ana is my best friend and Christian is about to become my brother-in-law, I am doing this to help them.

Part of me wants to go and spy on them but I know that is taking it a step too far. I would just love to see their reactions when they realise what is going on. I called the restaurant and told them it was a table of 2 and to put a bottle of Champagne on ice for them and to make sure there are fresh flowers on the table too and they were more than happy to accommodate for the Grey family.

I should have done this sooner but I know Ana and Christian wouldn't have gone for it back then, now they know each other a little more and they're a lot more comfortable around one another. I think Christian has proved to Ana that he is a man that she can rely on and come to her rescue if needed. I also think that Christian likes the fact that Ana didn't fall for his charms the second she met him and she wasn't like 'other girls' who throw themselves at him because of who he is. Ana couldn't care less that he was a billionaire, Ana is not a woman who is into that kind of thing, she's into romance and devotion and Christian is going to give her all of that.

I looked at my phone for 100th time in 20 minutes and sighed, no message from her or Christian yet. I hope they're not both late. I noticed Elliot's phone on the coffee table in front of me and hit the screen but he had no messages or missed calls either. Elliot walked into the living room and shook his head at me with a grin on his face.

"Stop obsessing" He said as he sat down next to me.

"They should both be there by now and I haven't heard anything from either of them... I just want to see how things are going" I told him.

"They haven't called you to shout at you so that's a good thing"

"I suppose" I agreed as I looked at my phone once again.

Ana
I walked into the restaurant and saw the Maitre d at the podium, I smiled kindly as I approached him "Table for two under the name Grey" I told him.

He didn't even look down at the list in front of him, he just smiled "Mr Grey is here already" He told me and indicated for me to follow him.

Mr Grey?
What was he talking about?
Is Elliot here?
What has Kate done?

I followed the Maitre D to the table and saw Christian sat there, he was alone and the table was set up for two, there was a bottle of Champagne on ice at the table and a freshly lit candle. Oh, I am so going to kill Kate! What the hell is she doing?

Christian stood from the table as I approached and pulled my chair out for me, the Maitre D left us. Christian poured me a glass of Champagne as I got myself comfortable; he looked amused at the situation. Was he in on this? Was this his idea?

"You look as surprised to see me as I am you" Christian stated.

"I thought I was meeting Kate for a girl's night" I replied.

"Sorry to disappoint you"

"It's not a disappointment, it's a shock, that's all" I assured him.

"You look very beautiful" Christian commented.

I couldn't stop the smile that crept onto my face or the blush that appeared on my cheeks. As always, Christian was looking very handsome. He was wearing a navy blue suit with a grey tie and black shoes. He smelt fresh, like he had a shower just before he got here. His hair was messy but in a controlled way, if that made any sense? Overall he looked very handsome and I think he knows it.

"Are you ok with this?" I asked him.

"Being on a date with a beautiful and intelligent woman? I am very much ok with this" He answered and I let a small giggle escape my lips "What about you? Are you ok?" He questioned, he was studying my face, as if looking for the answer in my eyes.

"I'm fine, shocked but I'm fine" I replied "You know, Kate has been trying to get us to go out on a date for a long time, I guess we were going too slow for her so she decided to take matters into her own hands" I told him.

"I've been thinking about you a lot lately, I have wanted to ask you out on a date for a while, but I wasn't sure if it was something you wanted to happen between us. I guess I ended up talking myself out of it, you're not like other woman Ana and I have found myself drawn to you" He explained.

Wow. That was the most open and honest sentence I think Christian has ever said; he's not one for feelings and emotions because he is known as this tough businessman but I'm beginning to see a different side to him, and I like it.

I wasn't sure how to respond to his declaration but luckily I didn't have to, the waiter appeared at the table and asked us what we would like to order, I haven't even looked at the menu yet. I must have looked like a deer in headlights, lucky for me that Christian came to the rescue.

"I'll have Linguine with Lobster and she'll have the Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli" Christian handed the waiter our unopened menus; the waiter nodded and scurried away from the table.

"Thank you for that" I said.

"I remembered when we came here last year for Kate's birthday, it's what you ordered then and you said how nice it was" I can't believe that he remembered that. I hate to say it but I think Kate might be right, maybe things with Christian were not as black and white as I had first thought "Are you ok?" He asked, I realised I haven't replied to him.

"Yeah I'm fine... I just... I'm trying to remember why I denied my feelings to Kate and myself for so long. Obviously there is some kind of chemistry between us, I think there always has been, but for some reason we have always ignored it" I told him.

"Maybe we should stop ignoring it"

I wasn't at all surprised that Taylor had been waiting outside the restaurant for us to finish our 'date'. Christian did say that if we hadn't been drinking then he would have driven himself, he doesn't like to use Taylor for personal things like dates, because it seems like showing off. I know Christian is known to have a 'no expense spared' attitude but I don't think he's as flashy as he makes out. I think Christian just wants to be 'normal' sometimes, not a billionaire businessman with staff and all of these responsibilities that come with who he is. On the other hand, I think he is proud of himself for being so successful, and so he should be. Christian likes to give back to others and he is in a really good position to do just that and make the world a better place.

I am really surprised at how much fun Christian and I had tonight, I thought it might have been a bit weird or awkward but it wasn't. Christian even commented that we shouldn't have waited this long, I agree that maybe we should have confronted our feelings for one another but I still stand by what I said to Kate; Christian and I are 2 very different people with very different backgrounds and personalities. I don't know how this would work out in the long run but I don't want to bring it up now and ruin the night.

Taylor stopped the car in front of my apartment building and got out of the car to open the door for me. Christian got out of the car and the two of us walked into the building and right up to my front door. Should I invite him in?

"I have had a really good time tonight Anastasia"

"Me too... it's been a very surprising night but I had a really good time, thank you"

"I should go now" He stated.

"Ok"

Christian seemed a little nervous, was he going to kiss me? Should I kiss him? Christian licked his lips and I noticed the change in his eyes, he was going to do it, he was going to kiss me. He wrapped one arm around me and brought me close to him, slowly he leaned down and I met him halfway. Our lips met in a slow and light kiss, my hands rested on his hips as both of Christian's hands found their way up to my cheeks and into my hair. He deepened the kiss and ran his tongue along my bottom lip.

I opened my mouth to him and our tongues began to dance. I gripped onto his jacket and tugged him a little closer, I don't even think you could fit a piece of paper between us right now, not that either of us minded.

Christian pulled away and took a deep breath, I did the same and smiled at him, he smiled back. He placed a kiss on my cheek and took a step back from me.

"Goodnight Anastasia"

"Goodnight Christian"

Naughty Kate! However, her planned seemed to work. Christian and Ana have finally acknowledged their feelings for one another but is this start of something new and exciting or is Ana right to be concerned about how different they are?
