Rin buries herself against Kagome and is asleep again in seconds.

"Sweet girl." She gently strokes the child's hair.

"Hn."

Kagome tries not to laugh at the offended look on Sesshoumaru's face. It's subtle, but it's definitely there.

The mokomoko is just big enough for the three of them. Jaken rests against a sleeping A-Un, softly snoring in time with the rain.

Thunder still rolls; lightning still flashes.

"It hasn't stopped," she whispers.

"No."

She tucks her arm under her head. "I have a new book."

"Next storm," he murmurs, closing his eyes.

Kagome smiles, closing her own. "Next storm."
