Walking out of the park, back towards the castle, Caroline admired how the sky was slowly staring to turn pink. The colors matched nicely with the newly painted castle and casted a glow across the back of it.

"Klaus," Caroline moved through the group towards him and his attention focused from the castle to her. "You should paint this. It's the perfect scene."

He looked at her and then back towards the skyline's colors, shapes and shadows. "I was just thinking the same thing." Only, the castle, nor the sky, would be the main focus.

The moon was bright in the still light sky. It was only half there, but it added to the perfect scene. The heat had dropped immensely too, so they were no longer dying of sweat but instead met with a nice, cool breeze. This was the perfect scenario to end a crazy, long, day that wasn't even close to being over yet.

To get to the other side, back to Main Street, you have to either walk around the castle, or through it. They decided on going through it to cut the walk and admire the 'inside' if Cinderella's Castle.

"I expected more," Rebekah pouted.

"It's not like we're going in Bekah," Kol said.

"Expected more? Rebekah, I never thought i'd say it, but Kol's right. Look at these paintings!" she pointed.

"What do you think, Mr. Art Critic?" Rebekah turned to her older brother.

"I think they're stunning. I never gave Disney enough credit. This entire place is full of art, each attraction has a story and-"

"Okay we get it," Rebekah rolled her eyes.

"Then don't ask," he smirked.

Once they were out the other side, Main Street and the area they took Klaus to calm down earlier was in front of them.

"Care, you know what we should do?" Bonnie said, moving next to her.

"What?"

"I feel like every person i've seen here is wearing those ears, the Mickey and Minnie ones. Why not we get them and be corny too?" she giggled.

Caroline gasped. "Love it! Let's find a place-"

"I was about to suggest we do that!" Rebekah unhooked her arm from Stefans, eavesdropping on their conversation and joining in. "Nik, how much time do we have?"

Klaus checked the time on his phone. "Not long. We have to get back to the resort with at least an hour to spare to account for everyone getting ready. The monorail from here to the resort and from the resort to the restaurant can take ages so we need time."

"Who made you the hybrid-time table?" Kol joked.

Rebekah pouted. "One, you can run back bloody faster than the monorail and two. the three of us will just run in a shop on Main Street and meet you back at the resort with enough time to change before dinner."

"You wouldn't know it, but when we need to rush-get-ready, we can," Caroline added, hoping to ease his anger.

"You really think you'll be quick shopping?" Klaus asked.

"Yes."

"Sister please, you took two bloody years to pick out the outfit you wanted to wear coming down here. Oh wait let me clarify, ride in the car down here where no one would even see you!" Kol scoffed.

"You wouldn't get it Kol, it was a momentous occasion to start this entire trip. You have to start a trip off right with a good outfit. So Nik, what do you say? I mean we're going to do it anyway no matter how annoyed you get. I don't need your permission and can do whatever I please but still, I guess it's good to have a time check."

Klaus, expecting none less from his spit-fire sister, looked at Caroline who gave him an encouraging glance.

"I expected nothing less from you, Rebekah. But the only reason i'm so concerned about time-tables and getting back with enough time is so we don't miss dinner at a supposedly really excellent restaurant. So, it's your own fault if you do as you please, take ages, miss reservations or get back with so little time you don't get to pick the perfect outfit," Klaus argued. "Anyway, meet back at the resort in no later than an hour. Love here, take my card."

Caroline laughed. "Yeah, no put that back," she shoved it back at him. "I'm not wasting your money on ears. This is my thing, i'll pay, I don't mind."

"I'll take it," Rebekah said, taking it out of her brothers hand.

"Fine, I'm not arguing. Remember, no more than an hour if you want to make it!" Klaus called as the girls ran off.

No more than an hour.

KCKCKCKCKC KCKCKCKCKC KCKCKCKCKC

At the very end, or beginning depending on where you are, of Main Street they headed into a shop called Main Street Emporium.

"I love this," Rebekah smiled, the air conditioning of the store hitting their faces.

"The shop?" Bonnie asked.

"Air conditioning?" Caroline tried.

"No this," Rebekah stood in the middle of the two girls and wrapped her arms around their shoulders. "Girl time."

They rolled their eyes. "Never did I ever expect to be doing this," Bonnie admitted. Did I ever expect to be running around Disney World with an Original family of vampires that tried to kill me and my friends? Nope.

"Well Bon Bon, things change," Rebekah winked.

"Enemies to friends," Caroline smiled. "Frenemies."

"That's what they'll call us!" Bonnie laughed, pulling a line from friends. Her, Caroline and Elena had watched it throughout their childhood. They used to play games where each of them would be one of the three girls. Caroline, being Caroline, always had to be Rachel. Elena and Bonnie would say she was more like Monica with her neat-freak-ness and OCD, but she would insist on being Rachel because of her sense of 'style' and 'personality'. Now, she's realizing Elena probably would've been a better Rachel and that Monica would've been better for herself.

All of the stores on this side of the street connected and the three girls found pairs of Mickey/Minnie ears that they wanted to wear.

Caroline decided on one's based on Tangled. The two ears were printed purple with the classic yellow suns and swirly designs. In the middle was a golden bow and a silver sun charm. She decided to go with Tangled, not just because it's her favorite movie, but because it matches her Magic Band perfectly.

Rebekah decided on Beauty and the Beast themed ears. The two ears were golden and sparking with chiseled in designs. The bow in the middle was a deep red had a rose in the middle to tie it all together.

Bonnie decided on Aladdin themed ones based on her favorite childhood movie. The bow in the middle was the patten of the magic carpets, plus its tassels, and the two ears were a pretty shade of teal to match the Genie.

"I think we did pretty good," Rebekah beamed as they walked out of the store within twenty minutes, proudly wearing the ears on their heads.

"I'm glad I found one that matches my band, plus it was always my favorite movie growing up. My mom still has plenty of videos of 10 year old me on the jungle gym pretending to swing from my hair to reach the ground and finally get out of my 'tower," Caroline giggled, touching the ears on her head.

"I'd pay to see that," Rebekah laughed.

"I felt out of place without these, I mean everyone has them on," Bonnie looked around at the sea of people around them with earls on their heads. "Plus, Aladdin has always been my favorite. When I was a kid we saw the show on Broadway and ever since then I loved it. I think it's the idea of how strong Jasmine is as a princess and how she's ruler of her kingdom, it was kind of something I looked for in myself when I was learning magic. Also, much Aladdin cares for her and the Genie was always cool, he made me laugh."

"I liked Belle because the color matches my gorgeous complexion!" Rebekah teased as they walked towards the exit of the magical park. "But I guess I need a story too because the two of you had long-ass explanations. I've always liked Belle because she was able to turn the 'Beast' into the person he aspired to be deep down. He put up this wall, blocking everyone out. The only person he ever let in was her, she brought out the good in him when he, nor anyone else, even saw it. She was the thing to make him good and I always admired that."

Bonnie's eyes widened and she shot her head up to Caroline who's eyes were also wide looking at the ground.

"That's...deep," Bonnie said.

"Yeah," Caroline gulped.

Rebekah shrugged, smiling. "It's just something to think about."

Caroline's eyebrows raised and she looked back at Bonnie, both thinking the same exact thing. Her and Klaus. Rebekah kept looking forward, though, knowing she just hit Caroline when she least expected it.

They decided to take the monorail back to the Contemporary instead of walking like the boys did on the path, a path made specifically to walk to and from each location.

The ride was quick, peaceful even, and they relished in the small break of their long and very crazy day. The monorail pulled into the resort and let them all off on the platform. Taking the stairs down to the main floor, Rebekah started towards the elevator.

"Show off," Caroline rolled her eyes. "You don't need to walk a million miles."

"We're vampires, darling," Rebekah winked and blew them a kiss before the elevator doors closed.

"Some of us aren't!" Bonnie yelled, hoping Rebekah heard before the door completely shut.

Caroline rolled her eyes and turned to Bonnie as they started towards escalator that leads down to the level that lets them off outside.

"Care, I have to stop at the main desk to get my room key, i'll meet you later?"

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. We still have all your stuff."

"Just leave it outside the door, i'll grab it on the way back so I don't have to bother you."

"Oh, okay... see you Bonnie." She threw a small smile and wave at her best friend who disappeared down the next escalator.

Instantly, Caroline knew she was hiding something from her. Their whole lives Bonnie has never gotten anything past her. In their Freshman year of high school, Bonnie had decided on holding off on telling Caroline who her first kiss was, or the fact that she had it in the first place, but she saw right through her and even guessed who the person was.

She knows what those dots on Klaus's back mean, doesn't she?

Caroline opened the doors and walked down the steps outside, the setting sun blinding her. Kids screamed at the pool, the sound of the waterslide and sprinklers slightly drowning it out and couples walked hand in hand around palm-tree covered paths.

She turned to her right and decided to take the scenic route rather than the indoor air-conditioned one that just was a maze through the hallways. She walked to the garden rooms, past the pool, past the small quaint beach she was yet to try out and around Bay Lake. She never really got a chance to admire the area closest to their hotel room. The sunset reflected against the water making it look like a enormous pool of pinks and purples.

She smiled to herself in appreciation of this wonderful gift and walked around the back way to enter the hall their room is in. She scanned her band on the pad so it would unlock and entered the air-conditioned corridor. She hesitantly walked over to their room, the first on her right and the furthest room in the entire resort. Just as she mustered up enough courage to touch her Magic Band to the pad on their hotel door, it flew open and there stood a half-dressed Klaus.

"Waiting for something?" He smirked.

Caroline looked down, trying not to stare, and shook her head. "N-No."

She walked inside past him and set her bags down on the floor as he let the heavy door shut with a bang.

"Back with exactly... 10 minuets to spare," Klaus said, holding up the time on his phone. "Honestly I didn't expect you to be back."

"We hustled, but it was worth it," Caroline laughed. "And you're not exactly dressed yourself."

He gave her a look and grabbed his shirt that was neatly folded on the bed. He pulled it over his head and shrugged teasingly. "Now I am," he said, going over to throw shoes on.

She giggled and grabbed her suitcase, putting it on the bed so she could rummage around for undergarments. She had already decided on an outfit that morning which is neatly handing in the bathroom.

"I like them."

She whipped around. "Like what?"

He pointed to his head. "The ears, they match your band."

She smiled at the fact she thought the same thing as him. Of course he would appreciate something like that. Simple, yet artistic.

"Thats why I did it." She looked at him head on for the first time since she walked in, being he was half dressed before. He's wearing grey-blue washed jeans and a black belt with a silver buckle, and an off-white henley. Why is his casual wear so fancy? Always!

"Why are you all dressed up? Is this place fancy?"

He shrugged. "I don't see the harm in looking a bit nicer, plus this is something I would wear regularly. We're going to a new place, a new atmosphere, in a deluxe resort much like this one. I assume it will be nice."

She nodded. "How much time do we have?"

"About a half hour," he said and sat back on the bed. "You got back with just enough time."

"Perfect," she smiled and grabbed her things.

Walking past him she noticed Bonnie's bags in the corner. She put her clothes on the bathroom counter and wheeled Bonnie's bag out the door. "Klaus?"

"Yes?" he answered. She turned around and shut the door, walking back into the room.

She leaned against the wall next to the bathroom door and looked at Klaus who was sitting against his headboard with his legs outstretched and crossed and his hands behind his head, ready to answer her question. "Did Bonnie seem strange to you?"

"Well she is awfully strange to begin with love, which time exactly?" he teased.

"Hey, that's my best friend so watch it," she warned. "Anyway, more towards the end of the day."

"You were the one with her more towards the end of the day and you know her better than anyone, so was she acting strange in your eyes?"

"She doesn't seem like herself."

"Then there's your answer," Klaus said.

Caroline nodded. "Okay, I guess i'll talk to her later. It's just weird, she dismissed herself so quickly before when we were walking back over here."

"How so?"

"I don't know, she just quickly said she had to go get her room key and to put her bag out the door so she wouldn't bother us."

"Maybe she just didn't want to bother you," Klaus said honestly.

"Maybe, but she knows it wouldn't be a problem to run in here and get her bag, I told her it was completely fine earlier when she dropped it off. Maybe I'm overthinking it but i'd rather be overthinking it than not suspecting anything."

"What is it that you suspect?"

"Something magic related...?" she tried.

Klaus blinked and sat up a bit. "You think that?"

"You don't?" Caroline asked. "Ever since the incident earlier she's been acting so strange. Little things, really but still. I just think there's something she's not telling me."

Klaus nodded in understanding. "I think that she'll tell you what she knows when she's ready."

"Do you know something?"

"No, I know nothing," he half lied.

"Okay," she breathed. "I guess i'll talk to her later about it later, I don't feel like getting into it now. You done in here?" she pointed to the bathroom.

He gestured for her to go in. "Have at it."

If Bonnie isn't telling me something, is this situation way worse than I could've imagined?

Caroline grabbed her dress out of the closet. It's a short, yet loose strapless white dress, topped with a necklace to stand out on her neckline. She pulled her hair into a side braid, curling the two strands in the front. She put in earrings and touched up upon her makeup from sweating all day. She threw on some wedges so her feet wouldn't hurt like they would in heels and grabbed a side bag before stepping out of the steamy bathroom.

"You look… wow," Klaus complimented, at a loss for words.

She jumped, still thinking he was sitting on his bed but he was there right in front of her. "T-Thank you," she blushed. "I think we're going to be opposites tonight?"

"Why? We're both wearing white."

"I'm going get cold and you're going to sweat to death," she joked and noticed he threw on a stylish black jacket. She tried to get his lustful eyes off of her so her face didn't turn into a bright red tomato by joking around.

He smiled. "Then I'll be able to give you my jacket."

"That's such a sappy date thing," she scoffed. "Typical 80s movie."

"You consider this a date?"

Shit. That just slipped out.

"Um-I just mean that in an actual dating situation, the girl says one thing like 'oh i'm cold' and he rips off his coat to give it to her like some kind of a savior."

He laughed at her defensiveness. "Sure, sure. Let's go meet Rebekah and the rest in the lobby okay?"

"Are we taking the monorail again? I know we passed the resort earlier."

"Yes, I think its the easiest way to get there."

She nodded. "Okay, let's go."

KCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKC

"Damn Care! Look at you!" Bonnie awed. "That's my best friend."

She seems better, Caroline thought as her friends playfulness came back a bit like when she suggested they go shop for ears. Yet she felt the embarrassment again, Bonnie always hypes her up.

"Wow, you worked miracles," Rebekah teased as she, Stefan, and Kol walked out of the elevator and onto the main 4th floor. "My makeup was stuck to my face and I didnt have time to shower."

"I didn't shower either. You guys look stunning too," Caroline complimented back. Bonnie is wearing a green sundress to complement the Hawaiian theme to the resort they're heading to and her eyes themselves. Rebekah's wearing a tight, strapless, red dress with a necklace somewhat similar to hers.

"Our feet are going to kill us at the end of the night," Rebekah gestured to all of their heels/wedges.

"Worth it," Bonnie giggled normally until she caught Kol looking her way. His eyes were solely focused on her and his mouth was slightly parted, like he was in awe of her.

"Quit sexing up my best friend Kol!" Caroline teased, a bit too loudly that a few people looked her way, but he broke contact instantly. Bonnie gave him a warm smile in appreciation and he felt himself get embarrassed, the cockiness fading.

"So, after a long day, the gangs all here," Stefan laughed and took in how everyone was standing together, all dressed up, surviving the day. "I think we should all feel accomplished. We made it"

"We should," Klaus agreed, looking down at Caroline next to him, putting his hand on the small of her back, once again sending a million chills running around in circles up and down her spine. Damn, he does this so much I should be used to it by now!

"Let's catch the next ride," Stefan said and moved the group along.

The monorail was easy once again, arriving right as soon as they got to the platform. Kol found them a completely empty car towards the front of the train. Again, the ride was mainly silent and Caroline found herself becoming more fond of the monorail each time they rode it. You just get to sit there in an air conditioned car, circling around the entire Disney World resort-a much needed break in the day. Right now, the suns setting during the ride, which is a first-time sight for her-the entire area covered in orange.

Soon enough, the monorail pulled up to the Polynesian resort, only here it was outside and not inside the resort like the Contemporary-which is what makes the Contemporary so unique.

"I'm just waiting until the day the monorail is an utter nightmare," Klaus told to her as they stepped off at the platform, walking to the gate. It seems like they're being let off at the second floor of the resort.

"Me too. Though, i'm really starting to enjoy the ride so I hope it doesn't turn into a pain," she giggled and took in her new surroundings. "So Mr. TG, what do you know about this place?"

He looked down at her with a perplexed look. "Did you call me Mr. TG?"

"Short for Mr. Tour Guide."

"You can just say that you know, it's not that long of a nickname."

"Well what's the fun in that? Don't be a downer Mr. TG!" she teased.

He rolled his eyes, but accepted the cute nickname. His whole life he's really only been named notoriously-the big bad, the hybrid, the great evil, bastard... things along those lines. Granted, those names made him who he is and he still gets too relish in the fear those names bring into people, but having this nice, innocent and light nickname with no disgusting, tragic meaning behind it is comforting. It makes him feel something he never thought he would feel about something so little. "Fine, anyway, this is one of the only other resorts that the monorail goes too. It's one of the deluxe resorts, the second option I was going to pick next to the Contemporary. I think you and i'd both really enjoy it, thats why I made sure we picked a dinner here."

"Why specifically both of us? I mean i'd like anything, but what made you so interested too?"

"This isn't just 'anything'. I chose the Contemporary because reviewers said it has the perfect mix of a Disney theme and modern life into it and I knew you would appreciate it. Since this is your first big trip out of Mystic Falls, I figured you would want something not so 'Disney-fied' that it's constantly in your face, but enough that you feel like you're not still at home. There also needed to be some things that reminded you of home so you wouldn't get homesick, and I thought that outside of the tower, you know by the pool area, reminded me a bit of the town square," explained.

Caroline blinked a few times, processing. "Wow. I never knew you put so much thought into something as little as picking a resort."

"It's far from a small little decision love, the resort is the place that introduces you to your trip and what you return to after everything you do. It needed to be a place you viewed as your home for a few weeks, your home base. Seeing your reaction to it as we pulled up is exactly what I wanted to see. because I knew I picked the perfect blend."

"I guess I never really thought about it that way," she pondered.

"Maybe i'm over thinking it a bit too much, but-"

"No! You're definitely not. I actually admire that, you see the true meaning in everything. I guess the only times i've really ever thought things through were for really stupid reasons, now that i'm thinking about it. Oh high school me! What a joy. The insecurities, the boys, everything I said and did... I would overthink the kinds of things like messages where if a guy texted me 'ok.' with a period or Bonnie and Elena gave short answers I would think they were mad at me-which they normally were, I guess."

"Don't ever think so low of yourself, please love."

"No, no it's okay. Now, bringing in your philosophy of thinking into things I realize that those thoughts and those moments throughout my life all led to my new-found vampirism. I'm better off and happy.

"I'm glad," he smirked. "But, you don't give yourself enough credit. For example earlier when you were viewing the castle, most people would just take a quick look and say how 'cool' it looks, but you, you were mesmerized by it. I could see it in your eyes, you appreciated that view more than anyone else did, hell, more than I did. That's why I cant wait for you to see what's in store for tomorrow at Epcot. You react well to things Caroline, i've noticed it throughout my time knowing you, even before we embarked on this journey."

"What are some things you noticed?" she tried.

"The first time I realize you've never truly gotten out of Mystic Falls, before you even told me, was that night at the ball when I gave you the dress. When you were talking with your friends or getting a drink, I noticed the way your fingers caressed the dress slightly and ever so lightly when you didn't know what to do with your hands. You were so careful with it, like it might break or just vanish. That bracelet too, you never shook your wrist around or twisted the chain. That night was the first time I noticed how much more you needed to live, not in a bad way or anything, just that you deserved to see so much more."

Caroline smiled, trying not to falter because normally she would tear up from something like that-or maybe she is but just not letting it show. "I guess that's the artist in you."

"I guess thats the artist in me," he smirked as they walked through the green-colored monorail gates and into the warm light of the hotel. Since it was dark out now, the various Polynesian colors stood out in the lobby. "Of all of our travels, I always wanted to settle in a tropical place. I knew Mikael wouldn't think to look there because he would think it too obvious, the first place someone would think to go to is an island, but I thought it was perfect. I always imagined getting a nice wooden house like this with tropical trees, plants, exotic flowers and fire torches. That smell of the fire wood always burning and fresh scent of pineapple and coconut naturally filling the air. Living this out had always been a small hope of mine. I've seen some of it, but it seemed like this place would match that certain small fantasy."

"I like that," Caroline simply said, smiling.

"You do?" He looked at her as they entered the hotel.

She broke her gaze from him and looked forward. She took a deep breath, in awe by the beautiful interior of this hotel. Colored lights hung far down from the ceiling, they were like lanterns with the most unique designs. They shined with yellows and blues in one of the strangest arrangements of chandeliers she'd ever seen, being a former party planner, she'd know a unique set when she saw it. The monorail left them off on the top floor so they started to walk over to the railing to look over to the bottom level.

"When I was a kid I used to think of running away from home. I was a stupid child and I thought I had the worst of it. Around the divorce and when my dad left I just wanted to steal my moms wallet and book a flight to Hawaii, of all places. You can imagine how upset I was once I found out I was too young to book a flight myself and drive to the airport," she chuckled with him. "Anyway, my destination was always tropical. A beach or Hawaii. Somewhere with nice oceans and resorts. Now, I have a further appreciation for places other than that, like everywhere you talk about, but there's always a soft spot for a good tropical island. Especially when I started my LOST phase in high school, oh that was a time."

"Haven't thought about that show for quite sometime."

"Have you seen it?"

"Of course, it was all the rave when it was airing. Ask Rebekah, she visited, or more like stalked the set during filming because she was in love with Josh Holloway."

"I mean, makes sense. Sawyer is by far the best character on the show."

"A thing for the bad boys, huh?" he teased.

She chuckled. "Oh shut up. Now I wanna rewatch it, this entire place is giving off LOST vibes. You're right, though. This place is super amazing but the Contemporary is the perfect blend. Being here for a night or two out satisfies that island need."

"I guess we are more alike than we thought," he smiled genuinely at her.

"Did you say LOST?!" Rebekah ran over.

"You heard right," Caroline said.

"Hear me out: Sawyer is better than Jack."

"A lot of people are better than Jack," Caroline admitted. "I don't hate him, gotta hand it to the guy, he saved everyone."

"He really sucked sucked at making decisions though."

"He really did. I do still like him though."

"Locke was by far the best character, I don't know what you guys are talking about," Kol jumped in.

"I agree!" Caroline said.

"Hey! You agreed with Sawyer," Rebekah pouted.

"Sawyer is my favorite, but Locke is the best character for sure. Best backstory and journey."

"Ben," Klaus threw out there. "Ben is one of the best, I consider him one of my favorites. Such a good story arc."

"Ben is amazing, such a good villain," Caroline agreed.

"Complex, interesting, funny, he's got it all."

"What Nik, did you look up to Ben to become the best villain?" Kol teased.

"I was a better villain long before Ben was even a thought in a writers brain. If anything, i'd look up to Negan from the Walking Dead. Bashing peoples heads in with a bat to get even? Smartest thing i've seen on TV."

"I've always wanted to watch that!" Caroline said.

"Do you smell that bread oh god," Rebekah breathed and interrupted their conversation. "Is that the place we're going Nik?" She pointed to the restaurant across the way. Similar to the layout of a basic mall, the lower level was able to be seen from the top floor while the top floor just lined the perimeter of the bottom area.

"Yes, Ohana. That bread you smell is Hawaiian bread, which is pineapple and coconut I think."

"Pineapple coconut bread? Ew," Rebekah cringed.

"You won't know until you try it, Bekah," Kol reminded her.

"I just checked in," Stefan appeared behind them.

"We didn't even know you left," Caroline said.

"Yeah because you were busy fantasizing with my brother," Rebekah raised her brows and Klaus returned a death look.

"No, you were all busy arguing about LOST, Walking Dead and who's the best villain," Stefan argued. "They should call our name any minute. And just saying, the Governor is a better villain than Negan."

"You better watch your tongue or I'll-"

"Klaus," Caroline warned and he stopped the spew of threats that were about to spit out.

"Let's go in the shop guys," Rebekah cheered, taking Caroline and Bonnie by the arm again like earlier in the park to go shopping for ears.

"And us?" Kol asked.

"Follow us," Rebekah called back. "Or don't, whatever I don't care enough."

"This store is full of stuffed animals," Kol complained, following them into the store.

"It's probably like the shops at our hotel, Kol. This one seems like the Fantasia place in the middle of the main floor, and the one downstairs is probably just like the one behind Fantasia place at our hotel," Caroline told him. "You can probably get merch here and every day stuff downstairs."

"You're right darling," he agreed. "They have the same crappy stuff."

"Some of us find this 'crappy stuff', appealing," Rebekah scoffed. "Holy shit, I want it."

"What?" Caroline asked and stood next to her, looking where her eyeline led.

"It's Pooh!" She cheered.

"And Simba!" Caroline awed.

"I'm sorry did you say 'poop'?" Stefan asked, his face contorted with confusion, swearing he heard Rebekah yell 'it's poop!' in the middle of a store.

"I'm sorry what?" Klaus tried.

Rebekah rolled her eyes. "Pooh! Like the bear!"

Stefan walked over, smiling. "This is the movie you made us watch on the drive here."

"Yeah, when we forced Kol to drive," she grinned at Stefan, looking down at the plush-toy in her hands like it was their child. "Ah, the memories."

"Oh, so it's a romantic thing," Caroline scoffed and looked at the Simba plushie on the rack. Unlike the Stitch Klaus got her at Disney Springs, this brand has bigger feet rather than bigger heads, which was almost cuter.

"Do you want it?" Klaus asked her.

"Nah, it's childish," she lied, putting it back on the shelf.

He studied her. "I see they way you look at it, it means something to you. What is it, love?"

"No really, it doesn't mean anything. It's fine."

"Caroline," he pressed.

"Ugh fine! My mom and I used to watch this movie all the time when I was younger. It was one of my favorites. I always cried when Scar killed Mufasa and I always kinda saw myself as Simba, alone in the world. When my dad left I felt like there was nothing left to lean on, just like Simba when he ran off alone after his father was killed. But then I realized my mom was still there for me and that I really wasn't alone… I don't know but watching this movie every so often with her really made us closer during that tough time because I learned to appreciate what we still had."

Klaus nodded and grabbed the toy from the shelf and held it up in front of her. "Caroline, you see this as your sense of home. If this connects you closer to your mother, its nowhere near being childish."

"You're always connecting things aren't you," she muttered.

"Fine," he simply said and put the animal back on the shelf to watch her reaction.

She nodded, holding back a small stream of tears and biting her lip slightly. "That's that," she whispered and looked to the animal on the shelf. She didn't even realize he was standing there, with his arms crossed, watching her and how she reacted. "It was childish anyway."

"Then why is not having it affecting you so much?"

She didn't answer.

He smirked. "That look, that look right there is the answer."

She broke her gaze and looked towards him. "What look?"

Klaus grabbed the stuffed animal from the shelf again. "The look you gave when I put it back on the shelf. In that moment, you knew you really wanted it and that it wasn't just some childish thing like Rebekah."

"Rebekah isn't being childish, it represents a memory of her and Stefan."

"Caroline, love, listen to yourself. That story you told me means so much bloody more than my sister watching a movie in the car with her boyfriend. this is the last time i'll mention something representing something for the night. When you saw this here on the shelf, it instantly stood out, did it not?"

"It did."

"Exactly. Your mind immediately jumped to your mother, it brought you back home, am I right?"

"Yes..."

"You thought about a time, a struggle in your life and this popped up as a savior. This shouldn't even be a debate, love. The other night you were adamant on getting that little thing in the shop at Disney Springs, right? Why are you so worried now? Are you holding out because of me?"

"I don't know..."

"Well if you are, remember I got you that because I wanted to. I don't think it's stupid by any means, I think it's special.

Caroline thought for a second, straightening out a bit. "You know, you're right. I don't know what came over me right there. I think it's just because I haven't really talked to my mom for awhile. I miss her, and I don't know, I've never really been away from her for this long. Sure she works every day, sometimes for multiple days without coming home but she was always within a few mile radius of me."

"And that love, is going to take adjusting. I knew it was going to happen, especially since this is your first time out of Mystic Falls. You just need time."

"Time yeah, you're right," She nodded. "I'm going to get it and call her later. I talked to her once quickly over the phone since we left, I just hate lying to her. As as a mother i'm sure she'd like to know her daughter is with three one-thousand year old vampires that almost murdered our entire town-no offense."

"None taken, and you can tell her the truth, she is your mom."

"Yeah, maybe," Caroline smiled. "Thank you, Klaus. I don't know what came over me there, it was kind of out of nowhere."

"Of course love, and nostalgia hits like a truck whenever it wants. Now, let's get this and we can—"

"No stop. I want to pay for it," she said, stopping him from walking.

"Caroline—"

"This is my thing, Klaus. Don't be that person," she giggled and took the toy from him.

He chuckled. "Of course."

She took the stuffed animal and went to go pay for it, Rebekah in tow, hearing Kol make a comment about them taking forever. "Bonnie! You should get one!"

"Which one?" Bonnie examined the wall.

"Kol you should get Dumbo," Rebekah teased.

"Why, because I'm dumb?"

"No, because you have big ears," she teased.

"I think I'll actually get dumbo," Bonnie grabbed the stuffed toy off the shelf.

"Awww, in representation of me and my 'big' ears?" Kol smirked.

Bonnie laughed. "Maybe, just a little. But look at it it's adorable!"

"Also, a very accurate representation of me," Kol boasted.

"Mikaelson party of 6?" a host called on the overhead from the restaurant.

"That's our queue," Klaus said and the group got up from the seating area in the waiting room. Personally, Klaus loved the waiting area itself. It was just outside of the restaurant so you could smell the food and torches, but also hear the chatter of guests, chirping crickets and tropical music.

They followed the host into a much more open restaurant than the night before at the Boardwalk resort. Walking in, there was a bar to the right and a wall with bathrooms and stairs to get downstairs to the left. Following the perimeter of the bar was a bamboo wall, scattered with bright green plants to enclose where the guests ate from the rest of the resort.

The host took them around the bamboo wall to a circular table in the back corner. The wall doesn't reach the ceiling, so it doesn't totally enclose guests and the ambiance from the resort is still present.

"Thank you," Caroline smiled at the man and Klaus gave a small look. "Really, we're going to do this again?"

"You're the one who started it the first night," Klaus argued, referring to their first night at the Rainforest with the waitress named Silvia, someone Caroline would never admit hit her the wrong way, especially when she appeared hand and hand with Klaus in her dreams that night.

"Nik! You were right this place is amazing!" Rebekah awed, taking a seat next to Stefan. "I hope the food is a great as it smells."

"You know, in all my years of being a vampire I never expected to be eating this much," Stefan wondered aloud. "I used to go for weeks without any food."

"Right there with you mate," Klaus agreed.

The upbeat waiter come around and took their drink orders, dropping bread at the table.

Kol picked a piece up to try it, smearing butter onto the side with the butter knife wrapped in a cloth. "What the bloody hell is this?" Kol said dramatically and wiped his mouth, expecting to tase crisp, warm, Italian bread.

"Klaus literally told us before that it's Hawaiian bread," Caroline reminded him.

"So they put bloody coconuts and leaves into my bread?"

"Yeah Kol, they put leaves in your bread," Bonnie chimed in.

"I think it's more like pineapple and coconuts," Caroline said, trying it as well. "It's definitely different, not in a bad way though."

"I like it, weirdly," Rebekah said. "I didn't expect too."

"It's better with the butter," Bonnie told Kol.

Kol shrugged, really wishing it was Italian bread. "Whatever."

Caroline noticed the music shift and a woman came out with flowers around her neck, a very tropical outfit and a ukulele.

"What is she wearing around her neck?" Caroline asked Klaus.

"They're called leis, they're like flower necklaces. They're given out all over the islands, and i'm sure they're given out here too," he said told her, noticing the same thing she did. The woman is wearing what looked like a grass shirt and a red top, strumming the ukulele gracefully. "Is she a cast member or just crazy?"

Caroline scoffed. "Cast member. Look Klaus! She's getting people to dance with her!" She pointed to people getting up from their tables and starting to learn the Hula.

Caroline looked towards him while his gaze stayed on the scene in front of them, not getting the hint. He then looked at her and she raised her brows daringly. "Absolutely not."

"Why?! Come on it'll be fun!"

"Yeah, Nik," Rebekah mockingly chimed in like any sibling would do to go against the other. "Wait what are you talking about?"

Caroline pointed behind her since Rebekah was facing away from the scene.

Her face lit up and she stood up from her seat with no hesitation. "Ooh! Let's get in there!"

"I don't dance," he groaned as she grabbed his hand.

"Oh don't be a baby," she stood him up with her vamp-strength and pulled him off into the crowed as he turned and saluted his fair-wells to them like he was going off to battle.

"Well, I'm never not one for a party, plus, the all you can eat food isn't here yet," Kol reasoned. "Come on little with, let's dance the Hula."

"What, you gonna wear a grass skirt?" She teased and pushed her chair in, looking at him with wild eyes.

"You and I both know i'd look fantastic in one of them, but I don't think the kids will appreciate it," he smirked and dragged her over. "What, are you?"

"I wouldn't give you the satisfaction," she winked.

Caroline watched her friends run off and looked to Klaus again who just simply looked away.

"Wow you really are no fun," she giggled. "Come on! At least come over there, you don't have to Hula your heart out or anything. Just until the guy comes with the first course."

After a minute of begging he sighed and gave in. "Fine, but don't push it."

"Yay!" She squeaked and got up, her chair ramming into the wall behind her because her seat was kind of tough to get out of. She ran around the table circular table to Klaus's other side before he even stood up. She grabbed his hand with both of hers and dragged him over. "I know sometime over the course of the thousand years you've walked this earth, you've danced the Hula at least once."

They weren't the only adults enjoying the fun, others were too so no one looked out of place. The woman went step to step through the Hula dance, going slow so the kids could get it. Being a dancer most of her life, the steps came easy to Caroline.

She saw Rebekah step on a kids foot-with her heels-and blame him for stepping on her, which made Stefan have to apologize to the kids parents. Kol cheekily asked if the woman had any grass shirts for him to wear and Bonnie hit him for being innaproopitate around kids. The woman just laughed and told him he couldn't pull it off, as a joke to hurt his ego and give Bonnie a kick out of the conversation, which kind of offended him and made him almost retreat back to the table.

"You would look great too in a grass skirt, you know," Kol smiled at Bonnie.

"Not as good as you," she teased as the music changed and broke into a different song other than one to the Hula. "And I told you, I won't let you get the satisfaction."

"Freestyle!" The woman instructing yelled and threw out some leis to the small crowd gathered around the tables.

Caroline kept trying to reach up and catch them, but sadly couldn't.

"Missing something?" Klaus smirked and she turned to see two lays hanging from his outstretched hand, resting on just two fingers.

She squealed and admired the colors of the exotic flowers. "How Disney manages to get everything perfect of beyond me."

"You know they have a resort is Hawaii," Klaus mentioned.

"Really?! That's awesome! It's probably like this place on steroids," she laughed.

Klaus smiled. "Here, allow me." She spun around and lifted her hair as he gently placed the string of flowers around her neck. "They smell wonderful," she giggled and looked up at him.

She grabbed the other one out of his hand and placed it around his neck. "There! Perfect!"

Kol danced around them, laughing. "You just got laid!"

Parents looked at Kol just being Kol, with a disgusted look that he would say that around kids.

"W-What?!" Caroline flushed. Kol just laughed and danced away from them, grabbing Bonnie's hand and spinning her around. "What the hell is he talking about?"

"Kol spent a lot of time in Hawaii when we were on the run and when he was not daggered. In that culture, leis are seen as a symbol of affection and presented to people leaving or arriving or getting congratulated. It was greatly popularized when tourism started between the islands and now gifting leis is a common thing."

"So it's called getting laid?" she laughed.

"Obviously it's a play on words, but when you receive a lei, you're getting laid."

Caroline bursted out into laugher and shouted over the new shift in the music. "I love that!"

"Care to really dance?"

"You bet!" she jumped, suddenly feeling a surge of energy.

He grabbed her hand and rested his other on her back, similar to how they danced at the ball only this time it was more care free. They spun and circles and he admired how much she laughed and gazed up into his eyes without realizing. Anyone could see she is the life of the party, not the woman hosting, the lady yelling at her kids, the woman in her mid 30s trying to dance just for guys to notice her with a shirt that just barely covers her breasts, but Caroline Forbes. She glowed like a light in the dark and he has the honor of dancing with her not even just once, but twice.

Caroline felt like she was in that once scene in Titanic where Jack took Rose down to the lower level and they danced their hearts out. Her adrenaline is through the roof and she could feel herself letting loose, not wanting the song to end. She could see in Klaus's eyes that he was enjoying himself too, laughing at her as she stumbled over her shoes. There is always a sort of tension between them but now, now they're just relishing in it. But she knew when the song was over they would go back to that tension that sometimes burned more times than others.

He spun her around and just as the music cut out dipped her towards the ground, low enough she felt like she could fall—but she knew he would never drop her. The electricity bounced between their eyes as both stared into them for what felt like forever, breathing heavily, feeling their clammy hands together.

Caroline gulped and he pulled her back up, smacking into his chest. She looked down for a second, trying to regain herself before looking back up at him to find him already looking back.

She took a deep breath, still smiling, before her eyes shifted to the group heading back to the table and the waiter meeting them there with their first round of food.

"Now come on, that was worth it right?" she giggled.

"I guess I should always take a chance, huh," he smiled and led them back to the table, his hand still scorching her back.
