AN: I just realized that this chapter is WAY longer than all the others so my apologies : )

"So these skewers are really endless huh?" Kol commented, his mouth half full of chicken.

"I mean I guess so," Bonnie said, taking a piece of steak.

Here at Ohana, you don't order normal food off of a menu—well, you can but this is the norm. Waiters come around with shrimp, chicken, pork, steak, and more skewers. Also, huge salad bowls and rice, broccoli and lo-mein bowls.

"Hands down the best place we've eaten at so far!" Caroline said happily, stirring lo-mein around her fork.

"More so than the animatronic safari animals?" Klaus teased and Caroline scrunched her nose back in response.

Everyone's heads jumped up from their food in unison by a thud from the table in front of them. A girl, seeming to be around 15 years old knocked into a food tray, the leftover food all over the ground.

"No you didn't just do that," another teenage girl, slightly older looking said, dying of laughter.

"Honestly, I'm not surprised! You said you would try to do it on purpose, then flaked out and ended up doing it by complete accident!" A woman, who looked a lot like the second teenage girl laughed.

"Good job, Els," the older girl laughed and patted the first one's shoulder.

"Luckily it wasn't food ready to be served," the first clumsy teenager, apparently named 'Els' laughed.

They seemed to be leaving the restaurant with half of their party already gone, but the people form the table next to them gave them strange looks. It was their tray the girl knocked over, granted the food wasn't fresh, it was only the remnants of their meal.

"I bet I can guess what's going on there," Rebekah whispered.

"Me too," Caroline giggled.

"She was trying to impress the teenage boy sitting there," Rebekah pointed.

"She was going to purposely walk into his chair but chickened out and actually knocked over their tray," Caroline analyzed, imagining her younger self in a situation like that.

"Clutsy personalties are the best," Rebekah said.

"How did you guys get all of that, from that?" Kol wondered.

"Girls can read each others minds; even strangers, my dear brother," Rebekah said. "I notices the boy and his little brother looking over at those two girls and whispering to each other, also laughing at her when she knocked into it."

"I feel like I can imagine Caroline in that exact situation," Bonnie giggled.

"Hey!" she huffed. "Well, yeah you're not wrong."

Klaus sat back, amused by their ability to read each others actions.

"Gotta admit though, that table seems a bit testy," Rebekah commented, eyeing the boy and his brother at the table across from them. "The dirty looks they gave the poor girl. It was an accident." Their attention was drawn away from the family as they heard another boom. "It's fireworks!" Rebekah said excitedly.

"It's Wishes," Klaus commented and everyone looked at him. "What? It says it on the app. Wishes is the name of the Magic Kingdom nighttime firework show."

"You said we could watch them last night, we didn't, want to now?" Caroline turned to him.

Klaus nodded, seeing the pure excitement in her eyes. "After you love."

Caroline's eyes brightened and she shot up, eagerly walking around the table.

"Care watch out!" Stefan called and tried to reach his hand out to stop her as she got around near his side of the table and knocked over a server tray, the same one the girl did except it was completely empty this time.

"Oh god," Caroline blinked and came back to reality. "See, I did do it!"

"You're lucky there was no food on that," Klaus chuckled lightly and picked the tray and tray stand up for her. The people from that table looked at her, half of them trying not to laugh and the other's giving her a disapproving look.

"Sorry I was excited about something," she rolled her eyes and scowled at the table, crossing her arms in their direction.

"They're just fireworks! And fireworks are for babies!" One kid teased.

"What is with kids and being annoying today?!" She huffed, thinking back to her interaction with little Nik earlier in the day. "Plus, you guys gave those poor girls the same look when they were just trying to get the boys attention," she said, pointing to the kid in a blue shirt. He wasn't rude, he didn't scowl at her or the girls form before. "You do seem nice, though. Maybe you all should learn from him."

"Come on love, there isn't much time if you want to catch them. These people aren't worth your time," Klaus put his arm on the spitfire's back to lead her off again. She shot them one last look mixed with venom and disapproval, instantly shutting their smug faces up.

On the way out, there was a boy in a red sweatshirt standing near the bar. His mouth was slightly opened and he was staring up at the TV screen, watching the football game. His eyes were crystal blue and his har super curly, reminding her a bit of what Kol could've looked like as a boy.

"Please tell me that isn't another little Mikaelson," Caroline said.

Klaus chuckled. "Nope. The people at this place just keep getting weirder. Kids at bars?"

"I'm sure his parents are close by."

They exited the restaurant just so they could get to the nearby balcony to see them up close and not hovering over people's tables while still in the restaurant.

Klaus opened the door and let her in before him.

"Such a gentleman," Caroline giggled, feeling her annoyance instantly go away with the sounds of the booming fireworks and blast of cool outside air.

"I try," he smirked and leaned on the raining next to her.

They watched the fireworks shoot over Cinderella's castle far off in the distance against the now-turned-purple night sky. The fireworks erupted into millions of sparkles and colors, twinkling down like pixie dust. Each one was unique, creating different sounds and patterns with each burst.

"God, this does feel childish," Caroline sighed, her smile fading, but still present.

"Since when does childish-ness bother you?"

She shrugged. "I don't know, it really never has. Talking to that mini version of you today in the Dumbo playground and seeing those kids at the table laugh at me, it just makes me feel stupid you know? Also, seeing those girls having such a good time really makes me wish I lived it up while I was their age. I'm just too old now."

"Hey now," Klaus turned her to face him, his arms gripping gently on both of her forearms. "Who cares what the conjured-up figment from my dead-beat brother Finn said and who cares what some imbecile kids, with no parental guidance, did! Plus, those girls weren't that much younger than you; they couldn't of be younger than 15. If i've learned anything from this playground of a vacation spot is that it's for all ages, sometimes the adults can enjoy its luxuries more than the kids themselves. This is your place, Caroline."

Caroline smiled, liking this side of Klaus. "Is it yours?"

"Caroline, love, this is all we talk about. I want to be here."

"I can't force you..."

"You're being ridiculous," Klaus shut her down. His eyes narrowed and she would tell he was serious. "Love, why do you keep thinking like this?"

She sighed. "I have this—this thing. I can't force people to do something they don't want to do. When I was growing up, I had a thing for making home videos with my toys—don't judge—and then I would show my parents the recording when I was finished. I was always so proud of myself because I worked so hard on them and wanted to showcase them, but watching their faces when they watched it I knew they didn't care. They were watching it to get it over with. I never showed them anymore videos after I came to that realization, and I could very well tell that they didn't miss them. They never asked," she explained. "So, are you doing this to get it over with?"

Klaus's mouth fell open and he blinked, taking in her analogy on this situation. His parents used to be the same way with his art. He would go find flowers to make paint in the woods and each day it seemed he would come home claiming he found a new color. Mikael never paid attention, but after the first few times Esther got bored and followed her husband's actions toward younger Nik's blooming passion. Elijah always consoled him though and told him how beautiful they were-he even would go hunting for new colors with him on occasion.

Caroline frowned. "See, there it is," her voice whispered, breaking before she turned back to the fireworks.

Coming back to reality, Klaus reached his arm out and grabbed her warm cheek, turning her once again to face him and moved closer.

"You have too much doubt in yourself, Caroline. I've told you countless times that you are strong, you are beautiful and you are full of the brightest of lights. I never would've offered to take you anywhere you wanted if I didn't want to be here—this was my choice. You said your parents never asked to see you play again, well, imagine if your parents told you to keep making the videos because they wanted to see them, genuinely. That my role, I was the once who asked first, so I never have to ask again because it's known that I want to keep it up, I want to keep watching you."

Caroline smiled against his touch and reached her hand up to lightly meet his. A single tear fell from her cheek and he used his other thumb to wipe it away, letting that hand rest reassuringly on her shoulder.

"I'll admit that I have never made a commitment like this before. I have never stayed true to one person for this long and I think that's something Finn is trying to take away from me, something he knows he can break. I knew what I was getting into and I know, this change seems sudden and way too drastic. I am still the person I've always been, I just met you. I'm changing for you."

Caroline's heart skipped a beat. "I don't want you to change for me Klaus—"

"Correction: I'm changing because of you."

Caroline smiled, speechless like he was before. "I don't think anyone has ever said anything that nice to me before."

"Well, you deserve it," he grinned from ear to ear. Caroline Forbes has been beaten down on her whole life, she deserves to be treated like a princess—no, a queen, he thought.

Klaus pushed her hair behind her ear and leaned closer, both of them closing their eyes, once again mere centimeters from each others lips.

And thats when the finale started. Caroline jumped and turned to see the whole sky lighting in color. They stayed in the same position, both watching the finale and secretly hoping to resume once the interruption was over.

The sky turned grey and hazy where the fireworks one were, the smoke falling slowly to the ground. Now the once pitch black sky looks different, like it's lacking something.

The focus was once again onto them.

But, once he looked back towards her with his sparkling eyes, the night isn't lacking anything.

They leaned in closer again but he moved slightly past her lips and close to her ear. "You know I didn't forget about that kiss earlier," he whispered, his hot breath ticking her skin, sending shivers through her body.

She gulped. "I didn't know you were awake."

He chuckled. "It's impossible to relax in a Disney Park, let alone the Magic Kingdom, Caroline," he joked and caressed her hair again.

Just get it over with Caroline! What are we waiting for? It's like this isn't in the cards for us of something! Every time we almost kiss something interrupts it or in both of our right minds we decide that this isn't the right time! What if rushing into this messes up our dynamic?

"Bloody hell guys! What is taking so long?" Rebekah barged through the screen door with the luck of having no kids around to hear her yelling.

The both part quickly, looking at the blonde original with wide eyes.

Blocked, again... just as they were leaning in once more.

"There's dessert," she smirked, knowing she pissed off her brother and maybe best friend.

I guess it wasn't time, thanks universe.

KCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCK

Caroline broke free of his grasp and he closed his eyes and damned himself, feeling her absence.

"I need to talk to my brother, I'll meet you in there Care," Rebekah put her hand on her shoulder as she walked into the warm light of the hotel and nodded. "Nik what the hell is up with you?"

"What do you mean? Besides our vengeful brother trying to take his problems out on me? On us?"

"No, why won't you rip off the bloody bandaid and kiss her for gods sake!"

He sighed and leaned against he railing. "I don't know."

"You don't know?" Rebekah squinted her eyes and crossed her arms. "The Nik I know wouldn't even hesitate."

"I am not trying to be the Nik you know.!"

"You can't just change with a snap of your fingers, brother!"

"But I can try."

"Look, Caroline doesn't want you to change. She doesn't want you to be the most amazing person in the whole world—she just wants you to be better than the all-mighty Klaus Mikaelson. I've noticed how different you act, how you contain and control your anger. Hell, I haven't even seen you kill anyone in the last month. I can see she's changing you, but don't let her change all of you. She likes you for aspects of who you were, and that includes the charming, daring, says whatever-is-on-his-mind type. Just go for it Nik, what do you have to lose?"

He scoffed. "I have a lot more to lose now."

Rebekah smiled and put her hand over his. "You'll never lose us. But don't let her go. She hasn't had to deal with you for a thousand years... yet."

"Trust me, I won't. I just need to make her know she's worth it."

KCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCK

"Drain some bodies out there?" Kol smirked as Klaus and Rebekah walked back to the table.

"No, Kol," Rebekah rolled her eyes.

Caroline didn't meet his eyes when he sat down, which worried him.

I can't ignore him now. Just because I'm embarrassed doesn't mean I didn't just hear everything he had to say.

"Try it," she pointed to the dessert with a mouthful of cake for amusement, lighthearted purposes.

He laughed at her choice of tone. "What is it?"

She swallowed quickly. "Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce," she explained. The waiter brought out three for the table.

Klaus nodded and scooped some on his plate.

"Good right?" She giggled.

He tried not to laugh while the food was still in his mouth. "Yes."

She grabbed a napkin and turned towards him, wiping the littlest bit of chocolate off the corner of his lip. His eyes moved down to see what she was doing and then back up to meet hers in a matter of seconds.

"Daring aren't we?" Kol raised his brows, leaning back in his chair to watch the shot.

"Shut up Kol!" Rebekah groaned. "Why must you ruin everything!"

"Come on Bekah! They can do better!"

Caroline pouted and sat back down against her chair, throwing the napkin across the table to hit Kol in his face.

"Ew I don't want your dirty napkin," he cringed and picked it off, dropping it in the middle of the table.

Caroline chuckled and looked to Klaus who watched the scene with a content, amused face.

These are the moments she's grown to enjoy most and not even a week ago, she would gag at the thought of it.

KCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKC

After dinner everyone headed outside to walk around and explore the resort.

"It's so much prettier at night," Rebekah commented. They went down to the lower level and out the doors to a path lined with lit fire torches.

"This place give off a completely different vibe than the Contemporary," Bonnie said to Caroline and Stefan as they lingered more towards the back.

"I know, it's kind of weird," Stefan agreed looking around.

To their right was a big turf area with a movie screen set up for kids to watch on special nights. Currently, they were playing Zootpoia and a bunch of kids sat looking up at it with wide eyes and gaped mouths.

"Do you regret where I chose to stay?" Klaus stopped and so she could catch up to him.

She looked around and spotted the pool, still active, the torches, the beach in the distance and the small counter with a pineapple logo on top, most likely to sell pineapple floats. "No," she shook her head. "I like ours better."

"Are you bloody joking, this place is amazing!" Rebekah awed and ran her finger down one of the nearby leaves, picking it off the plant and playing with it in her hands. All the plants are extremely nice and tropical here paired with a lot of exotic flowers as well.

"Yeah true, but I love the Contemporary," she looked at Klaus. "You picked it."

He smiled. "Because I knew you'd like it."

The reason she's fallen in love with the Contemporary is because it's the very first place she's called home since Mystic Falls, even if its only been a few days. Also, Klaus picked it out, for her. No one has ever thought about what she would want like this and he picked the absolute perfect place. Not overly tropical to the point where it doesn't feel like you're in Disney anymore, but moderate with just enough of the Disney vibe. It's a place she know she'll never forget because it's already struck her heart so much.

They decided to sit on the beach for a bit. The beaches at the resorts aren't normal beaches, it's not like there's an actual ocean to swim around in. There is water though, it's just roped off and connects to Bay Lake. The haven't tried the beach out much back at the Contemporary, but made a note to do so.

"I could do this forever," Rebekah sighed and leaned back in the chair.

"Really? Cold, wet sand?" Stefan questioned kicking it around underneath his feet.

"It's peaceful," she said.

"I found a ball, anyone wanna play?" Kol announced excitedly, running back from wherever he found it in the first place.

"Where did you even get that?" Rebekah asked.

"Doesn't matter."

"You took it off a kid, didn't you," Caroline scolded.

"Well, they're not gonna miss it!" He shrugged. "Come on, Bon-Bon, wanna play?" He held the ball up temptingly.

Bonnie stood up from the chair. "Only if you stop with the Bon-Bon," she told him. "For the millionth time."

"Deal, little witch," he slapped his hand against the ball as she scoffed and moved past him. "Who's next?"

"I'll play," Stefan caved and got up.

"Stef," Rebekah pouted grabbing his hand.

"What? Don't want me to get hit with the ball?" He teased.

"On the first day of school, Tyler Lockwood threw a ball at the back of Stefan's head and he caught it," Caroline reminisced, remembering that exact moment and how stunned she was.

"Ah, the good old days," Stefan smirked and took the ball from Kol, earning a scowl.

"Fine, I guess I'm in," Rebekah sighed and stood up, slapping the arms of the chair with her palms.

"No one asked you," Kol teased.

"You literally—you know, never mind. Who's on my team?" She looked around and eyed Stefan.

He raised his hand and came fourth.

"Well, there's the right answer," she grinned and wrapped her arm around his waist. "Who's next? Nik?"

"Not playing," Klaus said, looking up and folded his hands in his lap maturely.

"No fun," Rebekah pouted.

"Come on Nik! Don't be such a wanker!"

"I think this will be a lot more fun to watch, you interested love?" He looked up to Caroline who has been quiet on joining as well.

"Yeah no, i'm good. You guys play," she said and sat down in the chair next to his.

"Aw the two stooges," Kol teased. "How romantic."

Caroline rolled her eyes and leaned back into her chair with a huff. "Just play."

"This will be interesting," Klaus shifted to lean closer to her chair.

She nodded. "Oh, very. Who knew we would be sitting here watching your siblings, Bonnie Bennett Stefan Salvatore battle over a ball? What game are you guys even playing?"

"I don't know, ball?" Kol offered.

"Really 'ball'?"

"Football," Stefan corrected.

"Ah, that," Kol pointed to Stefan who still had the ball in hand.

"Wanna watch for like 10 minutes and ditch?" Caroline looked to Klaus hopefully as he watched them attempt for form a formation.

"Oh yeah definitely," he agreed. "I was just about to suggest that."

Caroline chuckled. "I think we can only take so much of this."

"Yeah," Klaus said, both of them knowing they'll really never get enough of them acting like fools.

Stefan threw the ball to Rebekah who sped down the beach to the makeshift goal the marked with a stick they found near the water.

"Hey no vamp speed!" Caroline called from the sidelines.

"Why?" Rebekah shouted, running back. "It was never an established rule!"

"It's literally cheating!" She stated the obvious. "And Bonnie isn't a vampire so by default no vampire abilities. No magic either"

"Ah, fair I guess," Rebekah sighed and threw Stefan back the ball.

"Same play again, but this time no speed," Kol said and they restarted.

"What would they do without me?" Caroline boasted.

Klaus chuckled. "I have no idea."

After a few minutes of watching Kol yell at Bonnie for dropping the ball and her using her magic to hit him in the head with it and seeing Rebekah 'accidentally' use vamp speed or cling onto Stefan for 'support' they decided it was time to make their exit.

"Want to walk down the beach or go to that counter over there and see what they have?" Klaus asked, looking behind them to the Pineapple Lanai place.

"Let's see what they have at the counter and then walk down the beach, I even saw a hammock over there we can sit on if the chairs are full," Caroline suggested and he nodded, grabbing her hand and speeding them off to the stand so the others didn't notice their absence.

"Ah, ew my shoes," Caroline cringed, not knowing he was going to speed them over so quickly. She hated walking around without shoes on, especially on concrete salted with sand and sticks.

"Aw come on, live a little," he joked. "We're going back on the beach right after anyway."

"Yeah I guess everyone is doing it. Perks of being in a beachy resort."

They both looked at the menu. "Pineapple float?" They said in unison.

She turned and looked at him with the biggest smile. "Of course we say the same thing."

He smiled and looked down before looking back up to the lady at the counter.

"What can I get for you guys?"

"Two Pineapple Floats?" Caroline asked.

"Of course, anything else?"

"Nope, thats it," Caroline said, her fingers tapping lightly on the counter.

"Are you guys part of the Disney dining plan?" She asked sweetly.

"Yes we are," Klaus said and Caroline held her wrist out to touch the Magic Band scanner she was holding. It played the magical sound it always does. "I will never get over that."

The woman laughed. "I get that a lot."

It's the little things, he thought.

"I can imagine," Caroline joked. Someone in the back handed the woman both floats and she passed it to them. "Wow, these look really good."

"They're probably one of the most popular snack items in all of Disney world," she said. "People started making them at home after visiting here just once."

"Really?" Caroline asked. The pineapple float was a large cup of soft swirl pineapple ice cream, filled about half way with pineapple juice. It came with a straw and spoon.

"Try it," she offered.

Caroline and Klaus childishly clinked their 'glasses' together and took a sip, a mixture of the vanilla ice cream and pineapple juice.

"Oh wow this is really good," Caroline agreed, taking another sip.

"Are they only sold here?" Klaus asked.

She woman shook her head. "They used to only be sold here and in the Magic Kingdom, but now they have locations in various parks and Disney Springs."

The two gave each other a look of 'we're definitely getting these again' before turning back to the nice worker.

"Thank you," Caroline smiled.

"Are you guys staying here?" She asked kindly.

Klaus shook his head. "No, but it's lovely here. Completely different than what we've seen."

"We're over at the Contemporary," she told her.

"Ah, my personal favorite."

"Your favorite isn't here?" Caroline questioned.

"No. My first trip here, well, my first trip ever, we stayed at the Contemporary and I don't know… I guess it just kinda stuck with me."

Caroline processed her words, relating to it instantly. "I feel the same way," she smiled.

"Oh so this is your first time visiting?"

She nodded. "Yes."

"Well, I hope you two enjoy your time here together," she smiled sweetly.

Together. Why does that sound... kinda nice? You don't meet nice people like her anymore, Caroline thought.

"Thank you!" Caroline blushed.

"Have a nice night," Klaus smiled at the woman as the two of them walked away together. She didn't react to what she said, 'enjoy your time 'together''. Together, yeah.

"Aw she was nice," Caroline giggled as they got further from the counter.

"She was the first employee we've encountered that I think was actually genuinely nice with pure intentions for their guests."

Caroline looked at him. "Seriously? They've all seemed nice."

Klaus scoffed. "It's only because they work here," he gestured to all of the park. "They're called cast members. Acting. They're part of a cast."

She pursed her lips together and laughed. "I guess most of them have been nice through clenched teeth."

"You're in a good mood," he smirked.

She stopped drinking and looked at him. "This is really good," she said with a mouth half-full of ice cream. "Don't look at me like that! Pineapple and ice cream combined rises my spirits, Klaus."

"I'm am not giving you any look!" Klaus laughed, his eyes contorting to pure confusion, smile beaming.

"Yes you are!"

"How am I looking at you?"

She flicked her eyes down and up again. "Like I'm a child," she pouted jokingly.

"Ah," he put a finger up. "I'm just amused on how the littlest things make you smile."

"I guess I learned to enjoy the little things like you... Also, this is just genuinely really good!" She giggled, holding the float up. "It feels like I'm high on pineapple juice."

Klaus narrowed his brows. "Because that's possible... especially since you haven't even made a dent!"

"Then I guess it's just this place," she gestured as they stepped back on the sand to walk the beach. They entered from a different area, avoiding the rest who are still playing football. "It gives off that let-loose vibe."

"Can't argue with that."

The two fell into a comfortable silence as they walked down the cold sand, shoulders brushing against each other.

But that silence was short lived as upbeat parade music started.

"What is that?" She asked, swallowing a spoonful of ice cream.

Klaus turned around to see something in the water, lights flashing in the distance.

They walked across the small beach and leaned against the rope barricading the water so no once decided to go for a swim.

"I like it," she giggled, swaying unconsciously to the feel-good tune.

"You like everything," he smirked and looked at her.

"I don't like everything," she disagreed.

"Humor me then," he turned to face her, putting most of his weight against the rope.

"I hate ketchup."

"What?"

"I do! People think I'm crazy for that but I literally despise it."

"What did ketchup ever do to you?"

"Made me throw up in the middle of a chickfla when I was seven," she admitted, replaying the embarrassing scene in her mind.

Klaus laughed. "No you didn't."

"Yes! And it was bad!"

"What else?" He managed to get out over his laugher.

She pondered his question. "Bears."

"Bears?"

"When I was a kid. And alligators."

"Well, then you're in the worst possible place."

Something shifted in her eyes. "What?"

He smirked. "Well, you know Florida is known for its alligators. It's their home."

"Yeah but not in Disney World…" she trailed off, watching his eyebrows peek up. "No! You're not serious."

"Ever wonder why these ropes are here?" He tugged slightly on the one he was leaning on.

"No…"

"To keep the alligators away."

She rolled his eyes and hit his chest, brushing it off. "Pft, you're full of it. You're treating me like a child when their parents tell them ghost stories to keep them out of the woods."

"Not in the slightest, love."

"Tell me."

"You sure it won't ruin the magic for you?"

"Well, I'd rather know then live in fear now."

"Okay, it's actually a sad story if i'm being quite honest. A family was over at one of the resorts connecting to this lake, they were on a beach just like this. Their youngest son wandered into the water and well…"

She frowned. "Oh god."

Klaus nodded, noticing her smile fade. "One of those Disney horror stories."

"Fun police," she pouted, trying to get rid of the bad thoughts.

"Fun police?"

"You tell me a sad story about a poor little boy and you tell me that alligators are in the water mere inches from us! Also, you mocked my anti-ketchup life style."

"Didn't mock it, and you asked for it," he teased.

She scoffed playfully. "Lets keep going."

KCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCKKCKCKCKCKCK

"For the millionth time Rebekah you cant do that!" Kol shouted across the 'field'.

"I can do what I bloody want Kol! You're not my mom."

"Okay I think that's enough for the night," Stefan announced, taking the ball from Bonnie.

"Why?" The two siblings pouted.

"Because all you two do is fight and argue," Stefan said, having kept mental note on how many times Kol whined 'Rebekahhh!' and called her out for cheating.

"We'll stop," Rebekah pouted.

"We will," Kol agreed and then looked at his sister who cocked a brow at him. "Nah, we won't. You're right."

Rebekah's arms fell against her waist. "Seriously? Caroline tell him—wait where's Caroline and Nik?"

The rest of the group turned and realized that they were gone from their chairs.

"Huh, wonder how long ago they left…" Kol pondered.

"Crazy how we didn't even notice," Stefan added.

"Well how far could they get without their shoes?" Rebekah pointed next to their chairs. "You're not allowed inside without them."

"Probably just up the beach," Bonnie said. "Speaking of up the beach... Kol can we talk?"

Kol raised his brows and looked towards her as if he was surprised she asked—which he honestly was. "Never thought you'd ask little witch. I'm bored of this anyway."

"Great," she nodded and slipped her shoes back on, him following in tow.

The two left Stefan and Rebekah to enjoy each others company and relax for a bit themselves. They gathered comfortably in each others arrms and rested on the lounge chair Klaus and Caroline previously inhabited.

"Hey, lets walk around the resort, okay?" Bonnie said.

"Um, yeah sure," Kol agreed. "Why not the beach, might I ask?"

"I dont want anyone to hear what I'm about to tell you."

"W-What are you about to tell me?"

"What, you scared?" She teased the all-mighty-Kol-Mikaelson.

"Me? Scared? No way! Never..." he brushed off his falter. "Tell me Bonnie, what's on your mind?"

"There are many things on my mind Kol… but this, this is about your brother, your family."

He frowned slightly, realizing it wasn't about him. "Oh, okay then."

"What were you thinking?" She smirked, reading him like a book.

"Doesn't matter little one, elaborate. I can always tell when there's something wrong with a witch," he urged.

She took a deep breath. "You know earlier in the park when Klaus had that outburst?"

"Of course."

"Well, I know for a fact it was magic induced and not just his normal temper."

"I thought we established that. Nik may have one hell of a dagger-happy temper, but he wouldn't do something around that many people, especially when there was no reason behind it."

"Well, I kind of didn't say anything so they wouldn't get all freaked out in the middle of a children's playground. Anyway, when Caroline noticed those dots on his back it struck a chord," She explained. "I've seen them before."

"Where?"

"That's what I couldn't remember, in the moment at least. When I got back to the hotel room, I opened up one of the grimoires I was studying when I first tried to tap into my magic. I remembered seeing the spell and I thought it was insane."

"Bonnie, what is it?" Kol asked, the concern prominent in his voice.

"Finn is prepping Klaus's body."

"For what?"

"To be jumped into."

"To be what?" Kol stammered, his eyes wide, stopping in his tracks.

"Finn is planning to take over Klaus's body. Those dots are an indicator that it's going to happen soon."

"How soon is soon?"

She shrugged. "I have no idea, I don't know the spell that well and there's not much on it. I think we still have some time, but as those dots keep growing or more show up, the closer it will get."

"This is all because Nik locked Finn in a bloody box for 900 years," he rubbed his face and paced around in circles. "If he hadn't—"

"Don't play the blame game right now. Yes, he has done horrible things to all of us but right now, I can tell he's being a better person for my best friend and he's making her herself again."

"How is he making Caroline herself again?"

"Ever since her and Tyler broke up, she's been acting… off. I don't know she just-I don't think she has the confidence she used to."

"She seems pretty damn confident to me."

"You didn't know her when she was human," Bonnie scoffed and the two kept walking around the Polynesian, coming around to an area with some bunkers on the water. The lights from inside the bunkers casted a glow on the blue water, creating the perfect contrast of warm and cold colors in the night. "I mean she was a bitch, but my best friend. Then she got better when she became a vampire, but after Matt, Tyler and Damon brought her down so much I think she just lost some of that self esteem."

"Damon? She had a thing with that idiot? I knew I hated him when I met him at that damn ball."

"Things weren't great between her and Damon... she was with him when she was human and um..."

"What Bonnie?" Kol almost demanded.

"Let's just say he used her."

"Used her... yeah that's a light way to put it. I'm going to kick his ass when I get back there I-" he stopped his rant when he saw how she was looking at him. "What? Is something on my face?"

"No, Kol," she giggled. "You care about her don't you?"

"Well Nik does so I have to or he'll have my head..."

"Stop with your brother for just one second, do you care for her Kol?"

"Of course I do. She's the one bringing this family together and though I can hate them with all of my heart sometimes, I want things to be better. It sucks being alone sometimes. She's bringing his humanity back, and she's not terribly company you know. Also, the best thing she did was bring you along," he smiled, grabbing her hands and putting them on his chest.

She giggled nervously and thanked the night sky for hiding the red in her face. "U-Um yeah well..."

"Maybe you should gain some of that confidence you were talking about with Caroline... and I can help with that," he smirked devilishly. "Do you think Nik is helping her gain that confidence back?"

She nodded. "I do. I haven't seen her this happy in awhile, even when she was with Tyler."

"She isn't even with Nik."

"They're close, I can feel it," Bonnie grinned. "Sorry if i'm a downer, I just needed to tell you that."

"Why me? Why not your best friend?"

"I needed to get it off my chest."

"Yeah I can see that, but why me?"

She stopped and turned around to face him. "Because I think I can trust you."

"You think?"

"I'm not easy to trust anyone, but you seem different. I just feel like I can."

"Well, i'm glad. And for the record you can," he smiled. "So, when are you gonna tell Nik?"

"Tonight."

"Really?"

Bonnie nodded. "Yeah, at the hotel."

"How are you going to get him away from Caroline?"

She shrugged. "Middle of the night, early in the morning or something I guess. While she's sleeping, at least."

"Good idea," he agreed. "So, now that you've gotten that off of your chest why not we enjoy the rest of this beautiful night at this beautiful resort with the most beautiful woman i've ever laid eyes on, hmm?"

Caroline spotted a hammock swaying slightly in the night-time wind. She ran over to it and plopped down, nearly falling off the other side of it.

"Woah, be careful there," Klaus chuckled, notching her stumble. "Wouldn't want to drop the float."

"Oh never," she grinned sarcastically. She patted her hand on the hammock so he would sit next to her. "Come on!"

"Fine," he caved and sat on the hammock with her. The hammock wasn't huge and it wasn't facing out towards the water either, it was facing towards where they were playing football.

"Hey, where did they all go?"

"They must of realized they looked like idiots and stopped," he said and she looked at him. "What?"

"I guess you're right."

"I'm always right," he smirked and had a spoonful of his ice cream.

She scoffed. "Yeah okay."

"Tell me one time I was wrong."

She thought for a second. "You were wrong when you thought I wouldn't come with you."

His smile faltered slightly and the shock in his eyes was present. Did not expect her to say that...

"Well, I guess I'm glad I was wrong then," he smiled.

"Yeah, me too," she nodded. "Wait, you hear that?"

Both of them turned on the hammock to look behind them and saw the music-thing coming back.

"Look it's coming back!" She pointed. The watched the lights flash designs of sea serpents and fish—all sorts of creatures really.

"This tune is going to be stuck in my head for ages," he chuckled.

Klaus placed his float in the sand and shifted so he could lay back on the hammock.

"What are you doing you're going to make it topple over!"

"I want a better view and not have to turn every second," he shrugged with a grin and put his arms behind his head as a pillow.

Caroline studied him. His eyes were focused on the flashing lights and he was smiling without realizing it. One of his legs was on the ground for support of the hammock and it was bouncing slightly to the tune of the parade. Not to mention his hair somehow got sandy and had a much softer look to it. The multi-colors from the parade reflected in his dark eyes.

He was right, from where she was sitting she had to turn her head far around to see it passing, plus the tree the hammock was strapped to was in the way.

"Look like you can't see very well," he smirked and moved his arm, gesturing for her to lay there, on his shoulder and half on his chest. "So why not make it easier for you?"

"You know you are—"

"I am what?" He teased.

"Infuriating!" She giggled nervously and ran her hands through her hair before looking back to him. He looked at her and moved his eyes as a gesture for her to really do it. "Wait you're serious?"

"Well if you keep trying to decide you're going miss it and I'll be honest, it's not much but I feel like it's one of those things you're going to remember witnessing."

She crossed her arms stubbornly and turned her body to look at the parade. Klaus watched with amusement, oh his stubborn girl.

She rubbed her hands over her bare arms filling up with goosebumps slowly to generate some heat.

"Can't help but notice you're a bit cold… need my help with anything love?" He quipped.

She rolled her eyes. "Nope."

He sat up a bit and shrugged his jacket off. "See, I told you you were going to need it."

She smiled to herself and tuned to look at him only to see that he was holding it out like a blanket next to him.

"What are you doing?"

"Well, I'm going to be cold as well so why not we share?"

She gasped. "Klaus."

"Well would you rather freeze?"

"Well, I'm a vampire and don't get cold."

"I think that little bumps on your arm prove that statement otherwise," he said. "Plus, I'm a hybrid love, I generate heat."

"Okay Jacob," she scoffed.

He lowered his eyes. "The wolf boy from twilight? God it's embarrassing to vampires. The wolves were cool, but the painless transformations are a luxury."

"What, the sparkling?" She giggled. "And are you saying you watched the Twilight saga?

"Mainly yes... and I did. How could I not?"

"Was it also the fact that they were made of literal marble? No heartbeat? Pale as the moon? Not being able to eat? No sleeping?"

He chuckled. "All of those things. Imagine not being able to eat or sleep?"

"I love those movies but yeah... it's very different than us."

The music started getting closer.

"You're missing out love, like I said before I feel like this is something you'd cherish."

She couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not but she put her float down next to his and carefully laid back on her side. Her head rested a little lower than the crook of his neck, more on his chest and shoulder as his outstretched arm rested near her mid-back. He brought the jacket up to wrap around her shoulders

"Don't be nervous," he whispered teasingly in her ear, though she knew a hit of it wasn't really a joking-like tease.

"What about you?"

"What about me?" He asked, her eyes meeting his.

"You said you were going to be cold.

"I don't get cold," he winked.

"Ass," she giggled.

He was right though, this is a lot better than freezing and turning her head uncomfortably. The swaying, the warmth, not to mention him.

She watched the attraction in the dark water parade by, the angle already proven to be a lot more convenient. The music shifted too 'The Stars and Stripes Forever' and a few others she recognized.

She felt at home in his arms, like she was safe. Much like the night before the last where she crawled into bed with him. She could lay like this forever-all night if they had to. She imagined that for a moment they were the only two people in the world-just them swaying there on this hammock. The moon would rise even higher in the sky and the torches would stay lit. Her heartbeat would slow to match his as they relax further into each other's embraces. Soon, the hand that was caressing her hair would move slower and lazier until it rested against her back and he fell asleep underneath her. She'd smile, giggle a bit and do the same herself. Imagine if he would be that comfortable with her? comfortable enough to fall asleep first in a public open place with a baby vampire he only recently met? It would be a dream.

She couldn't help the feeling of him underneath her, though. Her hand rested on his now bare chest as it rose up and down.

When did his shirt get unbuttoned? She panicked.

His lips looked so plump, so perfect. She never understood how they got to be that color, it's every girls dream. His curls, his beautiful curls hung in loose ringlets, but they were messy and beach ridden. His hands were gripped against her back tightly without him even knowing it. For her sanity in their current position she wouldn't let her eyes go any lower than where the waistband of his jeans started. Why did that even look good? Oh how she wanted to kiss him right now as his eyes were focused on the parade.

Just one couldn't hurt? Right?

Her core ached at the thought of it and she took a deep breath, trying to change the topic in her mind.

"It's called the water parade," he breathed softly, breaking the comfortable silence and pulling her out of her musings.

"You knew?" She asked, looking up to him to find him already looking.

"Of course I knew, I told you, I know everything."

She chuckled lightly. "You still don't. There's no way you know everything, Klaus."

"Oh really?" He challenged. "I think being a thousand years old helps a bit in my favor… So tell me love, what don't I know?"

She shifted a bit more onto her side, her head propped up by her arm and her hand slightly tracing the outline of his open shirt as she looked down at his bare chest. "You don't know what i'm thinking about," she stated softly.

His eyebrows raised, interest piqued at his daring girl. "Oh? And what are you thinking about Caroline?" he whispered in her ear. His rich accent burned through her body and gave her a new set of goosebumps on top of her old ones. How could one's voice be that sexy?

"I think you have some idea."

"I do know everything, don't I?"

"Still no..." she played, tugging at a few loose strands of his hair.

"Then tell me love, what don't I know?"

Her eyes moved down to those lips and then back up at her hand gripped his shoulder. She moved closer to whisper in his ear. "What I'm about to do next," she swallowed down the last bit uneasiness she was feeling. Her nose brushed against this jawline slowly before coming around to his lips, centimeters apart. She smirked, her hands coming up behind his head to grip his hair and pull him closer. This would be done right, their first kiss.

Except; Klaus is impatient.

"Enough with the teasing," he hissed and crashed their lips together so hard she saw stars. His hands came up around her back tightly as he shifted to sit up a bit. She finally got to feel what they felt like and they were everything she imagined. She flowed with his motion, moving one leg over his torso to straddle him.

He deepened each kiss and his arms moved further down her back. He broke from her lips and started at her jawline, moving down to her neck. She pressed further into his chest and moaned at the feeling of him against her lips and the fact that he unknowingly started to grind against her.

Finally, his lips met hers again and she fought back with even more hunger. They've wanted each other for so long and this was finally it.

"You—you have no idea how, how long i've wanted this," she panted, short on breath when they broke.

In actuality, it hasn't been that long. Or has it?

Their breathing was in sync completely, his eyes scanned her features and his lips curved seductively. "I think I have some idea," he smirked before diving back in. She felt his strong hands force her shoulders back as he moved forward on top of her. Her hands moved to the already un-done buttons on his shirt, shrugged it off and threw it next to him onto the sand to join the jacket he wrapped around her, nearly knocking over their discarded, almost empty pineapple floats. They could taste the lingering citrus of pineapple on each others lips which made it all the more intoxicating.

He slipped off her shirt which quickly joined the others on the ground and stopped to admire her for a moment. "My Caroline," he grinned, not unhooking her bra yet but going in for more. She traced shapes on his back before moving them to clench his hair once more, feeling the need to be closer to him.

"You sure you want to do this here?" He panted. She looked up at him, unable to form words. "Caroline?"

"Caroline?" He said again, a bit more forcefully and she felt herself being shaken slightly. "Caroline, love?"

Caroline jolted awake, sitting up in a cold sweat, nearly falling off the side and crushing the remaining pineapple floats beneath them.

"Hey, hey, hey, calm down you just drifted off for a couple of minutes."

She gulped and looked around. His shirt was not discarded in the sand, in fact it was still on and his jacket was still wrapped around her loosely.

Their lips weren't swollen and the hammock wasn't about to rip off of the tree. Nothing happened.

"Bad dream?" He asked.

Bad? I wouldn't necessarily say it was bad.

She blinked rapidly and rubbed her temple. "How long was I out?"

"I didn't realize it until a few minutes ago," he said. "But not long, the thing just ended."

"The, thing?"

"Yeah whatever was parading around in the water," he pointed.

"It's called the water parade," she mumbled.

"Oh, well," he smirked. "I guess I don't know everything."

You have no idea, she thought, the embarrassment overtaking her. What if I said something? Did something?

"Are you okay? You have sorta a dazed look in your eyes, love," he asked, concern filling his voice.

"I'm fine!" She squeaked and stood up, making sure his jacket was still on her since it was only wrapped around her shoulders. "Um—do you want this back?"

He sat up and shifted to face her. "I told you you could keep it until we get back to the room, i'm fine."

She nodded, feeling her mouth dry up. She bent down and picked up their floats, handing him his and taking a big scoop of melted ice cream into her mouth. He studied her strange actions.

"What did you dream about?" Klaus questioned, interest piqued.

She nearly spit out her ice cream. "Um—nothing," she muttered, mouth full.

Take your eyes OFF of his lips, Caroline!

"Really?" He grinned and stood up. "Doesn't seem like nothing."

She pursed her lips together and tried to come up with a response. "Well, it was. Now I don know about you, but it's been a long day and I think we should get b-back," she managed.

Klaus smiled even bigger, loving frustrated Caroline. "Sounds good with me, I think our night here was pretty successful don't you?"

"W-What do you mean?"

"God, you're so easy to tease tonight love," he laughed. "I won't question you any longer. Let's go back, they're probably wondering where we've wandered off to."

She nodded tightly and put her arms through the sleeves of his jacket.
