After the mission to Cairo you were able to spend some time there while Tony went back to New York. Tony was kind enough to get a hotel for all of you, one room for you and Natasha and one for Loki and Steve. Unfortunately, the hotel rooms didn't come with a change of clothes and you had to stop by a department store to get clothes for everyone. Loki came out wearing a green button down shirt with grey jeans and shoes to match. Natasha wore a simple grey t-shirt, blue jeans, and a ballcap and Steve had simple blue jeans and a white t-shirt. You got yourself a pair of green shorts and a white flowing peasant blouse with slid off the shoulders, making you ditch the sports bra so the strap didn't show.

Fortunately, the blouse wasn't see through.

When you joined your fellow tourists, Loki just stared at you. You felt your ears start to burn and adverted his gaze while taking in his outfit. His shirt seemed to be a bit skintight as you were able to see his defining features underneath and you drank in the view, a warmth spreading in your abdomen.

"Are you okay showing that much skin," Steve asked and got an elbow in the gut by Natasha. "I just don't want her getting a sunburn."

"I got sunscreen," you said pulling a bottle from the small yellow backpack you had gotten as well. You squeeze out some and spread it over your shoulders and arms, making sure to get the back of your neck.

"I love your shoes," Natasha pointed to your feet and you looked at the combat boots you were still wearing.

"I didn't see any shoes I liked," you laughed swinging the backpack over your shoulder and took the lead of the group.

You took the three on a tour around the city and told them about your time there during the Ottoman Empire.

"How much has this place changed since you're last time here," Steve asked as you walked through a bazaar.

"Almost completely," you admitted. "But I recognize some areas better than others."

You stopped in front of a stall that was selling clothes while Natasha and Steve began browsing another stall. You past over the clothes and started looking at the jewelry.

"These," Loki was behind you, one hand on the small of your back, the other holding a pair of deep emerald high heels in front of you.

"Those don't look every comfortable," you glanced at the heels then at the shoe display behind Loki, deciding to risk the foot sweat rather than risk a stubbed toe or sprained ankle.

"We'll take these," Loki handed the heels to a woman working the stall and pulled out the card Tony had given you from your wallet.

"Loki," you tried reaching for the card before he could pay for it, but he handed the card to the woman and took your hand in his.

"You might as well," Loki kissed your hand and heat flooded your body. "It is Stark's money after all."

"Where am I going to wear those anyway," you groaned, the woman swiped the card and handed it back to Loki. "I don't even have anything that goes with it."

Loki put the card back in your wallet and put it in his pocket. "I wonder. ."

Loki kept your hand in his as he walked the two of you over to where Natasha and Steve were looking as keychains.

"Y/N," Natasha put a hand against your cheek. "Are you okay? You're completely red."

"Must be the heat," you tried pulling your hand away from Loki, but he kept a firm grip on it. "Shall we find somewhere to sit?"

The three of you found a tourist café and went into the air conditioned interior and ordered drinks. Loki pulled out your wallet again and paid for the drinks, still holding on to your hand.

"Y/N," Loki kissed your hand as you strolled through the markets on Asgard. "Is there anything you want?"

"Only you," you kissed Loki's cheek and rested your head on his shoulder.

You and Loki walked for a moment until he stopped in front of a stall selling flowers. He look at the options for awhile until he spoke quietly with the person running the stall. After a moment, the florist handed him a bouquet of lilacs and tied it with a green ribbon. Loki took the bouquet and handed it to you. You took in the scent of the flowers and couldn't help but smile.

"These are beautiful," you smiled to Loki and lifted yourself on tiptoes and kissed him on the lips.

"Y/N," Loki pulled you away from your memory to see him pulling you into a booth next to him. "Sit before you faint."

You cough slightly and sat next to Loki, his hand still holding yours. "Sorry."

"Misunderstandings and ass-kissing," Loki looked at your lips than turned to look out the window. "Where were you this time?"

"The markets of Asgard," you said honestly and Loki turned back towards you, slightly surprised that you answered. "I was remembering when. . . my lover got me a bouquet of lilacs."

"What kind," Loki asked while you took a drink of water that a waiter brought you.

"A light shade of purple," you answered. "Why?"

"First love," Loki smiled as he stared into your eyes. "So this person was your first love?"

"How did you know," hope filled your heart, hoping he had remembered something. He had been holding for hand for so long that he had to remember at least one thing about your time together.

"Purple lilacs means 'first love'," Loki explained pausing shortly as Steve and Natasha joined you. "Flowers have a language of their own."

"Oh," you couldn't stop the disappointment and twisted your hand away from Loki to hold to your water. You watched Loki, out of the corner of you peripheral, as he stared at you before turning to the Steve to discuss sleeping arrangements.

Natasha tapped the table in front of you and you looked at her as she signed, Are you okay?

He still doesn't remember, you signed to her, fighting back tears.

"What are you doing," Loki asked, mimicking your hand movements in the air.

"Having a private conversation," Natasha answered and turned back to you. But he's been holding your hand since the market?

I think he's just messing with me. You thanked the waiter that brought your drinks. Or he's just horny?

Natasha laughed and took a drink of her ice coffee. So why don't you just go for it?

I haven't been with anyone since I was banished, your signing started to become aggressive. Do you think I would be capable of a one night stand? And keep my emotions out of it?

Natasha took your hands and squeezed them before letting you. You drank your iced coffee as she signed. I didn't realize you loved him that much.

I thought I had been hiding it so well. I had a thousand years of practice.

Natasha gave you a smile, which you returned, and turned to Loki and Steve arguing who was going to have which bed.

You sat in an orange armchair that was in your hotel room as you read, your legs dangling over one arm while you let your back rest on the other. Natasha had decided to go to the gym that was in the hotel and you decided to relax for the rest of the evening. The four of you had a flight in the afternoon to go back to New York and tonight was your last night in Cairo. The night air filtering from the the open door to the balcony and you remembered watching the festivals from a distance when you traveled there. You had fled Europe when you accused of being a witch after healing many people who were sick. After a thousand years, you never did get rid of your desire to help people.

A knock at your door pulled you from your thoughts and you opened the door to see a member of the hotel staff holding a dress bag.

"Y/N," the person asked and you nodded your head. "This is for you with a message."

You took the dress bag and the letter than was in the envelope. The staff member dipped his head and walked away. You closed the door and draped the dress bag on the bed and opened the envelope and read the note inside.

Now you have something that matches.

Join me downstairs at 11.

I'll be waiting.

-L

You furrowed your brows in confusion and opened the dress bag to reveal a long emerald evening gown. The gears clicked and you pulled the heels out of their bag and placed it next to the dress.

It matched perfectly. You read the note again and looked at the digital clock on the night stand to see it read 10:15. You hurried and took a shower, and fixed your hair and did what you could in regards to your face since you didn't have makeup and got dress. You took the gun holster from it's bag and strapped it on your thigh under your dress. The sleeves went the length of your arm and the dress hugged every curve of your body, the lines of the holster clear as day. You tried to hide the holster as much as possible but no matter what you did you would still tell it was there, and surrendered to leave it in the room.

Natasha came in, stopping right in the doorway to look at you.

"Where are you going?" You gave the note to Natasha and she closed the door as she read. "How did he do this?"

"He stole my wallet," you sighed. "And the card Stark gave me."

"And he didn't use to to run off?"

"He has the magic dampener still on him," you figured. "Until he can take it off, it's best for him to stick with the people that can remove it."

"Might as well take advantage," Natasha laughed and looked you up and down again and stopped when she saw the holster lines. "I think I got something."

Natasha went to her bag and pulled out a black clutch.

"When did you get this?"

"At the bazaar, it was too cute."

You took the clutch and noticed it had a gold clasp on it and smiled. "Thank you."

You took off the holster and was able to fit the pistol in the clutch with little effort, making sure the safety was on. You took a deep breathe and saw the time was 10:59.

"Wish me luck," you slipped on the heels and left the room.

"I'll be in Steve's room if you need privacy when you guys get back," Natasha called after you and you cheeks heated up.

You entered the elevator and looked in the wall mirror to make sure you looked alright. You noticed that your face looked plain opposed to the dress. You used magic to put of a green smoky eyeshadow on your eyes and tinted your lips red. Fortunately this spell didn't require lots of concentration unlike your glamour and after doubling checking your out, the doors of the elevator opened. You stepped out to see Loki standing in the lobby, wearing a black suit with a green undershirt and black tie with gold tie clip. He was adjusting the watch on his wrist, not realizing you were there. His hair was slicked back, but a strand manage to find itself falling in front of his face.

Instinctually you reached out and brushed the hair out of the way. Loki jumped back, his hands pushing to his sides, trying to pull something out of thin air. He just stood there staring at you. He jaw was slack and the muscles in his shoulders and arms relaxed as he look at you. Your cheeks warmed as you became self conscious of how you looked and moved your hand to your neck, feeling exposed. Loki followed your hand with his eyes and seemed to come back to wherever he was.

You couldn't help but laugh.

"Now where were you?"
