"Welcome back to America," Happy was waiting for you when the private jet landed. "Y/N, Loki, Fury is waiting for you at S.H.I.E.L.D."

"I thought he just wanted to talk to me," you placed your bags in the trunk of the car.

"He wants to see the two of you," Happy corrected.

"That explains the two cars," Steve went to the second along with Natasha and began putting their luggage in.

"Is there a reason, he wants to see us," Loki asked, giving Happy his luggage. "We only just got back."

"You never ignore Director Fury," Happy warned, dropping Loki's bag in the truck and closing the lid. "I'll drive."

Loki opened the front door for you and you jumped into the passenger seat. Loki bent down and gave you a quick kiss as Happy was walking to the driver side and pulled away as Happy got into his seat.

"What was that?" Happy asked, looking between you and Loki.

"What was what?" You gave him a confused look, trying not to crack a smile or let your cheeks heat up.

"Should you let me drive," Loki asked. "If you're seeing things, you should be driving."

"Just get in the back," Happy snapped and Loki and waited as he got into the back seat.

"He doesn't shut up does he," Loki asked you when you got out of the car at S.H.I.E.L.D. Happy had talked all the way there, talking about anything and everything he could think of.

"I heard that," Happy called out, as he got out the car.

"He wasn't trying to be quiet," you laughed and walked into the building.

Immediately, a group of security personnel surrounded the three of you and pointed guns at you. You immediately, jumped in front of Loki, pulled your gun from the holster at your back.

"Woah woah," Happy had his hands up, just as confused as you were. "What's going on here?"

"Put down you weapons," you heard Fury's voice from behind the swarm of security. "I said put down your weapons!"

The men hesitated to lower their weapons, so were you, but one by one they eased their firearms away from you and Loki. Fury was let through the crowd and you lowered your pistol, hesitant to put it away.

"That is some welcome committee you have there, Fury," Loki called from behind you. "Mind telling us why we're here."

"Thought we would have some tea and biscuits," Fury said sarcastically, motioning for you to put away your gun.

"What kind of tea," you asked, placing your gun back into its holster.

"Cooperate and we won't separate you," Fury answered and turned to walk down the corridor.

You and Loki followed suit, Loki placing his hand on your back but you quickly swat it away, making sure he didn't take the gun. Loki's eyes seemed to laugh at you and he took your hand and kissed it.

"You must have really enjoyed your vacation," Fury waited inside the elevator for you and Loki.

"So much that we didn't want to come back," you answered, walking into the elevator, the doors closing and the sardine tin began to move.

"And you got a souvenir," Fury tapped his chest and your free hand went to your necklace.

"When in Rome," Loki answered, sharing a knowing look with you, your cheeks heating up.

"Don't care," Fury said and stepped out of the open elevator.

You were silent as you made you way into a conference room, mentally thanking whatever god was listening that it wasn't another interrogation room A woman was sitting in one of the chairs tapping a tablet and handed the tablet when you entered the room.

"Stark sent the information and should be here in a few minutes. Seems he and Thor are running late."

"Tony's on his way?" You looked between the two.

"My brother is coming?" Loki asked, equally confused.

The woman and Fury looked at each other and you remembered your manners. "Who are you?"

"Agent Hill," the woman took the hand you offered and held her hand for Loki to shake. "You two are an interesting couple."

You blushed at the word couple and Loki wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you close to him. You pulled away from him and held your hand out to him. He tried to take it into his hand and you pulled it away.

"Gimme," you gestured with your fingers and waited for Loki to hand you the pistol. "Sly snake."

Agent Hill glanced at Fury who rest the tablet, his feet on the conference table. She shrugged and gestured for the two of you to see. After a few minutes of silence, Tony came walking in the door, carrying a suitcase.

"Let's get this show on the road," Tony set the case on the table next to Loki and opened it. Thor came in shortly after, his cheeks were red for some reason.

"I'm sorry, but no one has told us why we're here," You spoke up.

"They didn't," Agent Hill looked between Tony and Fury and a sigh or frustration let her mouth. "Men."

"I told you it was about Loki," Tony said.

"No you didn't."

"When you asked what-"

"Children," Fury and you and Tony stopped arguing. "We're taking the magic dampener off."

"Oh this thing," Loki fiddled with the watched. "I didn't realize it was there."

"Sure thing Reindeer Games," Tony side and took out a couple tools and pulled Loki's wrist to him.

"Why now?" You asked, Loki turning to you in confusion. "I-I mean it's great you don't have to have it on anymore, but. . . Why now?"

"It's been six months since Loki joined, Y/N," Agent began, handing the tablet to you. "The watch had been monitoring his potential magic output whenever he tried to use magic."

You looked over the information and noticed the output decreased dramatically after the second month.

"After he stopped trying to get away," Tony removed the watch and put it in his case and Loki started rubbing his wrist. "I updated the software to a lie detector."

"He's a good liar though," Thor stated casually and Loki glared at him. "Who's the trickster god here? You got so good, you managed to get away with lying to the Allfather."

"Not Mother though," Loki chuckled, forgiving the comment.

"Not me either, your highness," you turned back to the results on the tablet. You looked over a chart that contained his heartbeat and looked at the results for the night in Cairo. "You installed a microphone?!"

"Now you know why we're removing it," Fury looked straight at you and you could feel your face flood with heat. You then realized why Thor's face was on fire.

"Well it always had a microphone," Tony admitted. "But after. . . your vacation. . . It felt wise to remove it."

Loki coughed, his outfit turning to a suit very similar to the one he wore in Cairo. "If you want any tips, I'd be more than happy to-"

"Shut up," you kicked his shin, trying to calm down from the embarrassment.

"You are still to be confined to Stark tower," Fury stated. "Consider this your probation. If you are leave the tower, you have to have Y/N, Thor, or one of the other Avengers with you."

"The tower has sensors to track you at all times," Tony took over the conversation. "Don't care where you go, but don't magic out or go into areas you're not allowed. Thanks to Y/N's tests, tracking your Asgardian magic should be easier. Though we're going to run tests once we get to my lab."

"No mics?" you asked, your face cooling down slightly.

"No mics," Tony nodded, pushing his sunglasses up his face. "Thor, take Loki out, I still need to talk with Y/N."

Loki kissed your head and left the room, leaving you with Agent Hill, Fury, and Tony.

"What did you want to talk about?" you asked and Tony took the tablet that was on the table and gave it a few taps.

"This," Tony handed you the tablet and you saw a internal image of two brains with a ball of light in two sections.

"What am I looking at," you asked, handing the tablet back to Tony.

"I was hoping you had answers," Tony said, tapping the screen more. "It appears to be some sort of magical blockage in yours and Loki's head."

"Magical block?"

"Can magic mess with a person's mind?" Agent Hill asked, clasping her hands on the table in front of you.

"Of course," you admitted. "With the right training, you can put them under mind control or block. . ."

"Block memories," Tony finished. "It would seem you both have this mental block. Do you know what could have led to that?"

"I don't know," you racked your mind thinking if there was any point where someone from Asgard could have messed with your memory. "It would take a lot of skill and knowledge of the person. Especially if you wanted to make them. . . Oh shit."

"What is it?" you could barely hear her over the gears turning in your head.

"The accident."

"What accident," Fury asked, taking his feet off the table.

You told them the night of the assassination attempt and that Loki had completely forgotten the night as everything about you. You began shaking, anger that someone messed with Loki's memories. But why would they mess with yours? Didn't Thor say that their mom tried to recall Loki's memories?

"I need to ask Thor something," you stood from your walked to the conference room door. You stuck your head outside to see Thor and Loki waiting a few feet away.

"Just Thor, sorry." Loki looked slightly disappointed by stayed were he was. You went back into the conference room and waited for the door to closed behind Thor. "What happened the night Loki lost his memories?"

"You were sent to the dungeons and Loki went to the healers," Thor answered, his face confused.

"But after that?"

"Mother and I watched over him while he was in a coma," Thor began recalling the night. "He was unconscious for a week before he woke. And when he did, he didn't remember you."

"Did anyone try to get him to wake up with magic?" You leaned against one of the chairs, trying to remain calm.

"Several of the healers and even Mother," Thor answered. "But they all said that he just need time."

"What about after he woke up?"

"We asked but he didn't remember the night," Thor continued. "We mentioned you but he didn't remember you. Mother probed his mind, but couldn't help him remember. The healers said that his mind couldn't handle the strain of the night and that's what caused the memory loss."

"But he remembered everything else except me?"

"Yeah," Thor's mental gears clicked. "You don't think someone messed with him mind?"

"They would have had to mess with mine too," you answered him and showed him the scans on the tablet. "Someone changed, both of our memories."

"But you didn't suffer any memory loss, did you?"

"Not that I know of," you placed the tablet back on the table.

"It would have to have been when the assassination attempt took place then," Thor sat in his seat. "Mother and I were with him the entire time he was unconscious."

"Did anyone visit me in the dungeon," you asked.

Thor paused a moment before answering, he seemed a little regretful. "No. Not that I know of. I didn't even think of seeing you."

"I wouldn't want to see anyone, to be honest," you reassured, patting his back.

"You must have done it then, Swayze," Tony spoke up.
