This story has great potential, it is one of my best ideas... I have so much to say for this...
If you guess who and what he is, you get a cookie!
At a village, run down and bare, Tenzin and Kagome sat with their hands and ankles tied up on a straw mat. The villagers surround them, hate and distrust in their eyes.
Kagome, ever defiant girl she was, called out. "Hey! Why am I tied up?!"
The villagers started to mutter among themselves. "A young girl in strange clothing/From a foreign land?/Will there be war again?/Just before rice-planting season? We're so short-handed as it is!/Perhaps she's a fox in disguise?/Better a shape-changer than another war."
'Are we in the past? Topknots, old timey accents, a lack of modern anything... we entered a portal, that was obvious... a demon attacked us. Grandpa said the well was made of the Tree of Ages, which has sway over time. I don't know magic or anything.'
"Make way for High Priestess Kaede!" A voice called out, shattering his thoughts. He looked up and watched as an old woman with an eyepatch in priestess clothes, holding a bundle and a bow, walked towards them.
The woman handed a man her weapons, then reached into her bundle for some powder. She threw it at them both, and Tenzin hissed as his skin started to burn, painfully. He bent over, trying to protect his face.
"Hey! What're you doing? You're burning him!" Kagome screamed, throwing her body in front of his.
The old woman, Kaede, spoke to them. "They told me a demon was found in the Inuyasha Forest. I thought some ritual purification was in order. That boy is a demon, no other being would be burned by my purification salts!"
Kagome scowled. "He's my brother, my twin, same mom and dad. He can't be a demon."
Another villager muttered. "Then could she be a foreign spy?"
"Yes, but to spy on what?! We can barely feed ourselves in this village." The woman sounded pissed. Looking up, he saw her look at his sister with shock and confusion. "You there. Let me take a good look at your face." She grabbed Kagome's chin and turned face left and right. "Look clever, girl!"
"YOU!" Kagome glared.
"Such a likeness… to my sister Kikyo."
Both siblings looked at each other, entirely confused.
''''
Hours later and both of them found themselves in a small hut with the old lady who burned him with salts, claiming he was a demon. The lady looked, handing each of them a bowl of stew.
Kagome accepted it easily, though he was far more hesitant. "Looks delicious! Thank you!" She drank the stew.
Kaede sighed. " Forgive us. With so many wars these days, our young ones have become rash. Even if I tell them we've no business with wars, they refuse to listen and only give me more to worry about."
"I was right, we are not in Tokoyo ... I think we are in the past."
Kaede gasped. "You are from the future?"
"I think so, we fell into the well and before we knew it we were somewhere entirely different. Where we are from there are no massive forests, there are tons of buildings... the air isn't as clear or clean. Your outfits, your hairstyle, style of talking and so much else is from another time. I study history and mythology, I'd say we are roughly five hundred years in the past, give or take a few deca-UGH!" He bent over, a rush of cold energy blasting through him. It was like something was pushing against him.
"What's wrong?" Kagome threw herself at him.
"Something...it's like ice in my veins, but there's also this tugging on the outside like a magnet."
A massive crash and thud drew their attention and as one the three of them hurried outside.
Kaede called out to her villagers. " What's going on?!"
"An evil spirit!"
The centipede monster from before rose, a horse in her mouth. Several villagers fired arrows at her, but she swiped them away with her tail. She flung the horse in Tenzin's direction, the tree of them managed to dodge.
Kagome gasped. "That again!"
The Centipede screeched. "Hand me the Sacred Jewel!" She threw herself at Kagome, who dodged. Rage filled Tenzin, and he pulled out his sword, slicing a cold purple path through the Monster's hide. It recoiled. "A mere human, harming me!"
"The Sacred Jewel, you have it?" Kaede said, stunned before turning to him. " And you, you could harm the monster with just a sword, as you sure you be human?"
Tenzin gritted his teeth as a wave of hate and bloodlust burned in him, his vision burning red. "I... I am not sure..." He stumbled, holding his head as his body boiled. "Sis, get out of her, if you are what she is after you need to run. I'll help hold her off since I can hurt her."
Two villagers fired arrows at the centipede while the monster was in midair." Give it to me! Give it to me!" She screamed before she started to spin her body and swipes her spinning tail at the villagers, destroying whole huts and killing dozens, each death he could feel like a cold strike to the heart. Literally in fact, each one cooled the boiling blood and gave him clarity.
"Our spears and arrows have no effect!"
Kaede called out. "We must throw her into the Dry Well!"
Kagome and Tenzin said as one, though his voice came out garbled and warped. " Dry well?"
"The well in the Inuyasha Forest."
Kaede called out. "Which way is the forest?" She pointed to where light was glowing in the forest, one that looked almost like a sunset. "Where the light is shining?" She then ran off, rushing as fast as she could... which was not very fast.
Kaede gasped. "What did you say?!"
Kagome called out. "Let it pursue me!"
Tenzin growled and turned to the beast, a snarl coming from his lips. "Touch my sister and your dead!" His voice had an echo to it, a metallic edge that rang throughout the village.
"That girl! How can an ordinary girl see the foul vapors that rise from the forest?" She turned to him. " Can you see it too?" When he nodded, she gasped.
He didn't bother to listen to more as the beast shot towards Kagome, he runs as fast as he could... which unlike his sister was quite fast...actually it was very fast, faster than he ought to have. The world blurred and before he knew it he was right next to the beast, power burning in his legs. With a power he shouldn't have had, he leaped into the air and descended, slamming down with his sword that pierced the bitch's centipede body, until the sword was locked to the hilt.
"YOU BASTARD!" The monster screamed and twirled, tossing him off and sending him flying into a tree, his head slamming into the wood and sending him into darkness...

A surge of cold, like lightning, exploded through the air, slamming into Tenzin. Light returned to him and he sat up straight, his head oddly clear despite what should have been a concussion warping his senses. Power flooded his body and the air like a cold furnace he felt in his very soul. Standing as his memories returned to him, he turned on heel and shot towards the power filling the world.
It was only a short distance, but he found it's source. The demon from before, the woman, was pulsing with energy. His sister, bleeding and scared, was holding onto a now awake Inuyasha, both wound in the centipede's body. He saw his sword, which despite the centipede's body healing and pulsing, stayed stuck in her body. A purple energy oozed from it, as if fighting the demon's body.
Inuyasha called out. " Damn you!"
The villagers, who were staying by the monster terrified, muttered. "It swallowed the Jewel!/No! What will happen, Priestess Kaede?!
The fallen limbs of the Centipede Monster, strewn about the monster, stared glowing and reattach to her like magnets.
Despite the distance, he heard his sister's voice as if she was next to him. " Its arms are growing again…!"
The Centipede shook a little and her skin exploded off, revealing a grotesque rotten skeleton-like torso and face. "Rejoice! My power is being restored!" The centipede tightened her body and Kagome ended up being dragged downwards.
Kagome screamed out. "It got me!"
The Dog demon spoke. "Hey. Can you pull out this arrow?"
His sister looked confused. "Huh?"
The boy's voice was fierce. "I'm asking if you can pull out this arrow!"
"This arrow," She reached for the arrow. " this one?"
Kade hopped off her horse. "Do not remove it! That arrow secures the spell on the Inuyasha! You must not free the Inuyasha!"
Inuyasha snarled. "You old hag, wake up! Do you want to become fodder for the centipede?! Once it completely absorbs the Sacred Jewel, it'll be the end! (to KAG) Come on! Do you want to die here, too?!"
Kagome reached for the arrow and screamed. " But I know one thing… "She pulled the arrow. "I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"
Bright purple light exploded from the arrow, instantly burning Tenzin's eyes and making him recoil... his skin burning. 'This light, it's like a sunburn... why is it so repulsive and so beautiful at the same time?' Thankfully the light faded and the arrow faded away into nothing.
Kaede looked horrified. "It disappeared…! The arrow that held my sister's spell…!"
Light emanated from Inuyasha as the Hag tightened it's grip, he started to pulsate.
"Inu… ya… sha?" Kagome weakly said, and dread filled Tenzin who started towards his sister. Power returned to his body, and before he knew it he was at his sister's side, his hands digging into the flesh of the monster, tearing into it with a strength he ought to not have.
Inuyasha's hysterical laughter startled him into stopping, and then he exploded with a yellow light that sent brother and sister flying. Somehow Tenzin managed to catch his sister and landed on his feet, with more grace then he had ever managed.
"You brat!" The Centipede screeched.
Somersaulting to the ground, Inuyasha snarled once more. "Shut up, old hag!" He brandished his claws, which were razor sharp. "Iron Reaver, Soul Stealer!" With a twirl, he tore through the Centipede like wet paper, landing on the ground with ease.
Kagome whispered in her brother's arms. "Wow… He really is strong…!" Then one of the pieces of the hag's flesh moved, making his sister screech. "It's still moving!"
"Do you see the flesh that shines? The Sacred Jewel is embedded there!" Kaede rushed towards them, her remaining eye focused. "You must remove it, else it will keep rejuvenating!"
"N-N-No way! "Kagome looked around frantically. "There! I can see it!" She was pointing to a glowing pink ball in a piece of flesh.
"She's right, I can see it too." Tenzin called out.
Kaede looked up at him in shock. "You can see it too?" Then she started to feel for the Jewel, picking out the jewel from it's body. In an instant all of the flesh on all the body pieces disintegrates, leaving only bones. She then grabbed his blade, looking at it for a moment. The Old Woman then hurried to Kagome, handing her the jewel and him the blade. "Only you can possess the Jewel. "
Kagome looked confused. "Why was it inside my body? This jewel which can empower such a demon?"
The sound of bone-crunching drew them all to Inuyasha. " Exactly! Which a human has no possible use for it! If you don't want to feel the pain of my claws, just give me the Jewel and get it over with!"
Rage returned to Tenzin and he growled, actually growled, and he saw a purple glow like mist rise from his skin. "Just try it!"
His sister gasped. "Tenzin, your eyes... they're red!"
Inuyasha turned to him. "Huh, I didn't notice it before, you're a half-demon too. I can smell it, but your demonic aura is pretty weak. You are not match for me, I promise you."
"Touch my sister and I will kill you regardless of that fact, little boy." His voice regained the dark, metallic tone from earlier. He felt his sister flinch away from him, and he swore he felt a wave of fear ooze from the villagers. Literally felt it, and instead of unnerving him it made him excited, he drank deep of the fear and it was like putting gas on a fire. His aura of purple exploded into growth and he charged Inuyasha, his vision as red as his eyes.
