Noah's p.o.v

This year, like previous years, my family and I celebrate Independence Day at our vocation home. I fought in World War 2. The fireworks have triggered my ptsd, but I hide my symptoms for the sake of my wife and kids. My sweet wife Allie can sense my discomfort. "Noah, you are shaking. The fireworks must've triggered your ptsd. The kids and I will understand if you want to stop the fireworks" Allie notifies me. "Please don't stop the fireworks. I need a distraction from my misery" I persist. "Besides fireworks, I have another gift for you" Allie teases me. "What is it, honey?" I inquire. "I am pregnant" she announces placing my hand over her stomach. I am absolutely over the moon about the new baby. The kids look forward to meeting their new little brother or sister in March.

Noah's p.o.v

Allie's bag of water broke unexpectedly and abruptly while we were buying Christmas presents for our kids at a local mall. We made a mad dash over to the hospital. Allie was terrified because she was just only six months pregnant. I split my time between coaching Allie through labor and calling her parents who were looking after our kids.
