Miranda grabbed herself an already premade mango smoothie and shut the fridge.
Ben was standing in the kitchen and the two stared before Miranda blew out a breath and walked passed him. She hated when they disagreed. It was just complete silence until one of them breaks.
It was a petty thing that they did but it was them and it worked for them. She was married before and ignored the hell out of him. If Ben didn't think she wasn't good at it and would break down. He was sadly mistaken.
"You're not going." Ben said firmly.
"Yes I am." Miranda said seriously.
Miranda, one it's too dangerous and 2 your carrying my baby and 3 I said hell no." Ben bellowed.
"Ben 1 I am a grown ass woman. 2 I didn't do all this to sit at home and 3 I may be carrying your child but I am not your child and what's it going to look like it all of a sudden if I don't show up." Miranda fussed back.
"Miranda I love you and I just don't want anything to happen to you or loose you. That would destroy me." Ben vented.
"Ben I love you too and if I loose you that would break me. I love you too much but I want to be with you every step of the way in this process. I'm your partner and life partner. We are suppose to be in this together." Miranda expressed as tears began to weld in her eyes.
"Come here baby." Ben muttered sighing because she had won. Miranda walked into his arms and laid her head on his chest as he kissed her on the top of her head. He scooped her up and brought her to the couch as she sat into his arms.
Two days went by and Miranda stood putting her dress on. The group was suppose to be going out to dinner after the doctors come pick the shipment up to distribute out to the hospitals.
Carlie made it clear that Esposito wanted the circle to meet at the warehouse to see him. Which was perfect. FbI were teaming up and had many trucks that were coming to bust this whole operation.
Ben came up behind Miranda, they were in the living room to be out of the camera and he helped her put her ear piece in. Pulling her hair down to cover it up.
"Here." Ben stated handing her a glock 19 Gen4.
Miranda gasped. "What for?"
"This gets dangerous Miranda you need to carry something. I got you a thigh holster hence why I asked you to wear a dress with a split."
"Is there a safety?"
"Your finger is your safety. You don't fire the gun if you don't pull the trigger and you don't pull the trigger unless you want to fire the gun." Miranda nodded nervously.
"Sit." Ben told her and she did as told.
He took her left leg and he took the gun holster and strapped it around her thigh. Before placing the gun inside.
"Okay stand for me."
Miranda stood and she looked into Ben's eyes.
"Reach down quick through the split of your dress and pull it out. I want you to practice 3 times for me."
Miranda nodded and she quickly reached down and pulled it out pointing it. Ben raised his eye brow at how good she was on the first try. It was swiftly.
"You did good. Two more times and the key to remember is to never hesitate. " Ben coached and watched her do it again.
He bit his lip watching her. It honestly was so sexy.
Miranda stared at him and saw the glint in his eye.
"You are seriously not getting turned on right now." Miranda laughed but chastised.
"I'm sorry but Miranda you are such a bad ass. I could take you against the wall right now." Ben stated.
Miranda moaned and bit her lip. "Dam Detective." She purred and she watched as Ben stalked over to her to back her up against the wall, kissing her lips.
"Too bad we don't have much time for as good and as long as I want to do it." Ben responded against her mouth.
Miranda sighed and pushed him back.
Ben watched her as she moved abruptly pulling her gun from the holster.
"Miranda?"
"Shh," she said waving him off before shuffling around the room.
"In the criminal justice system, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories." Miranda mocked in a monotone voice.
Ben watched her as she moved around ducking and acting like she was in a shoot out. His eyes widen when she drew the gun to the lamp shade. "You, your coming down town with me buddy."
"Detective Warren I need back up. This fella here Mr. Tuff guy is being so shady and difficult...Detective Warren." Miranda called out.
She looked back getting upset because he wouldn't come.
"Miranda what the hell are you doing?" Ben questioned huffing.
"I'm playing law and order ."
"Miranda this is nothing to joke about. It's not funny when we are about to possibly face life and death."
"Dam Ben can you just pretend? This is a once in a life time thing. Let me have a moment of fun before you go and be a dam stick in the mud." Miranda yelled waving the gun in a come in motion.
Ben clicked his teeth looking at the crazy woman that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
"What seems to be the problem Officer Bailey." Ben asked getting in character.
"Uh uh. I don't want to be no rookie. Call me Detective or sergeant or captain, something along those lines" Miranda whispered breaking character.
Ben rolled his eyes. "Sorry about that I mean Sergeant Bailey." Ben played along again.
"This man is being difficult." Miranda pursed her lips together as she pressed the gun into the lamp shade again.
Ben wanted to laugh so hard but he held it in. Next thing he knew he was being dragged down to the floor behind the couch.
"It's a shoot out. It must have been other people with him. Wow that was almost close. A civilian was shot."
"Shots fire on the corner of the couch and the stairs we need a bus immediately. Civilian down." Ben yelled into his shirt.
"Thanks for covering me partner." Miranda said laughing and Ben laughed along with her as she laid back on the floor.
She laughed hysterically and he did as well. "Did you really say on the corner of the couch and the stairs?" Miranda mused.
Ben laughed and nodded his head. "Dam I love you." Miranda confessed wiping the laugh tear out of her eye.
"I love you too." Ben said chuckling.
"I guess we got to get ready to go." Ben said breaking their silence.
He helped her up and Miranda put her gun back into her holster.
She watched as he put his shoes on and Miranda put on her flats.
"Okay when you go in, tech already got into the system so we have eyes. When Esposito comes out and he gives the go on the crates being loaded into vans we will send in FbI. We are going to make this transition smooth as possible so no will get hurt at all." Chief Smith ordered as everyone listened on their radios.
Ben grabbed Miranda's hand and intertwined their fingers when they got out of the car.
"I'm honestly nervous now." Miranda told him and Ben nodded.
"I got you I promise." Ben stated determined.
"Well I got you too and I trust you." Miranda informed.
"Miranda and Ben." Carlie greeted.
"hey." Miranda chimed as Carlie hugged her, stiffly after hearing what she did to Ben.
"And how is our little one doing?" Carlie asked.
"She is great, still giving her mother terrible heart burn, swollen feet and ankles and my breast went up two cup sizes." Miranda elaborated.
"Mmm-hmm." Ben agreed looking down at her breast specifically licking his lips causing Miranda to elbow him in the side.
"Carlie." They heard a voice boom causing everyone in the room to stop working and turn to him.
"Hi daddy." Carlie spoke and Miranda and Ben both looked at the Italian man with a suit on.
He walked through and looked at the workers. Esposito then walked to the case of drugs.
"Where is the GHB?"
"Right here sir." Michael said opening one of the large cases.
They watched as he took a small baggie and he opened it sticking his pointer finger into the powder before putting his finger into his mouth.
Miranda watched with wide eyes as he tried the drugs. "Pure and good. Good job." He spoke sternly putting the baggie into his pocket after closing it.
"And where is my other daughter?" He asked looking around.
"She's not here dad. She Uh-
"I needed to talk to her, that bad ass shipment in Seattle is all her dam fault." He huffed.
Miranda was still trying to figure out what did Carlie's mother look liked because she looked like a mixed woman.
Esposito looked at all the other couples before his eyes landed on Ben and Miranda.
He looked the two of them over multiple times.
"You're new, step forward."
They started on their step but was instantly stopped when he raised his hand.
"Just the wife." He announced loudly. He looked her over multiple times again. Miranda let go of Ben's hand and step forward.
"Dr. Miranda Bailey." He said out loud and she nodded slowly. Nervously.
"So how is Richard Webber doing?" Miranda's eyes widen and in that moment she knew it was over.
Ben reached for her to pull her into him as he pulled out his gun but ultimately he wasn't quick enough. Esposito spun her out of reach and pulled her into him as he took his gun out of the holster and had it pointed at Miranda's head.
"Ben." Miranda cried out as she looked at one guy in a black suit put a gun to his head.
Ben stared at Esposito and Miranda while Miranda stared at him and the person who pressed the gun into Ben.
"Yeah, old Webber couldn't understand why Miranda Bailey was married so suddenly. He came on down to the police precinct in Seattle and he wanted a back ground check on Benjamin Warren. Who name suddenly changed to Williams."
"FbI. Is already outside. Ready to charge In and there is no way to escape them. If you hand her over to me and we make it out of here safely. I can guaranteed your life and call of the sharp shooter and we can negotiate a lesser sentence." Ben negotiated and his gun was pointed at Esposito. He was glad that Miranda was short. He had a clear shot.
He didn't want to take the risk and getting killed himself. He wanted to be alive, and both of them to live with their baby and Tuck.
Tears were pouring down Miranda's face as she looked at Ben for help. She could hear the ssa in her ear telling her to relax and that they were thinking of what to do.
It was too dangerous for them to just bust in now, both of them could get killed and they didn't want that.
"I could care less about dying or the FbI but what I do know is. I don't like being betrayed or my family being deceived. I could kill her right now, just to see the look in your eyes. Or better yet, I will take her with me and make her mine. "
"I can't let you do either." Ben said harshly.
"Jack just kill him already." Carlie demanded at the goon who held the gun pressed into Ben's scalp.
"Noooo." Miranda yelled cried as she held the bottom of her stomach.
"Dr. Bailey we are trying to get a good position for our sharp shooter to take the shot but it's hard. Just stay calm and give us more time." She heard in her ear.
"I'm telling you boldly that if you hurt her. It will be the last thing you ever do." Ben yelled harshly like he was spitting venom.
Miranda was trying to think. What could she do and how could she get out of this with both of them being alive.
She assessed the situation over a hundred times with scenarios but it seemed that they would all end in one of them dead.
Miranda looked into Ben's eyes and she saw his confliction. Sadness, worry, anger and confusion was filtered all through.
"I love you." Miranda mouthed to him.
"I love you too." Ben mouthed back and Miranda saw his tears falling. She did not want him to sacrifice his self for her because she wouldn't be able to go on with life without him.
"Ouch." Miranda squeaked gripping her stomach as she groaned.
"Ahhhh." She hissed as she bent over in pain.
Esposito still kept the gun to her head but look at her confused.
"Miranda?" Ben said worried shifting his eyes down but he never let his gun falter.
"Ugghhhhhh." Miranda groaned "Oh god it hurts so bad. I think I'm miss carrying." She whimpered as she crouched over. She quickly reached between her thighs for her gun and pulled it out quickly and swiftly firing a shot towards the body guard.
Two other shots rung loudly in the air sounding off very loud as it propagated outwards.
"Benjamin." Miranda screamed loudly.
