Ben jumped up when his watch went red again.

"Thank God she's alive." Ben said as he checked the location.

"Buckley." Ben said reading his watch. "Here put in this whole address." Ben said giving it to the tech person.

Looking it up the only thing he saw was grass. "It's nothing but fields sir."

"It has to be something in that field maybe a barn or warehouse. Something." Ben said aloud. He grabbed his gun and his coat. Getting ready to leave.

"Warren where are you going?"

"I'm going out there. The love of my life is out there and Camille could be doing harm to her and my unborn child."

"I think you should wait for FBI to come."

"I'm not waiting for FBI. They still have to get on the jet to get here. It's already a one-hour drive. I'm going to go get Miranda and bring her home."

"This would be out of your jurisdiction. Its the police job in that city to handle it. You don't know if you are walking into a set up to get you killed. You are just being implosive and not thinking clear. "

"Chief I'm not waiting and I don't care and also I quit." Ben said walking out of the door.

He jogged to his truck and put in the address before taking off down the road. Ben put on his police siren and lights and speed through the streets.

On the phone Ben reached Callie. "Hey Callie uh do you mind picking Tuck up from daycare when you leave tonight and taking him home with you."

"Of course Is everything alright?"

Ben didn't know what to say and he didn't want to alarm her either.

"Me and Miranda are still dealing with some of this stuff from the operation." Ben answered thinking.

"Oh okay be careful and Tuck will be good with me." Callie informed.

"Thanks." Ben said hanging up.

Miranda walked slowly her body aching in pain. She was trying to be careful to not bust a stitch. She looked around the place and it was dirty and dark. She saw other rooms but she didn't know which one to go in.

Miranda jumped scared at the sound of rattling. "Where are you?" She heard Camille yell.

Miranda slipped into the closet room as quickly as she could. She saw a desk and hid behind it.

"You can't stay hidden forever. I will search every room until I find you."

Miranda heard footsteps off in the distance and she held her breath. She listened as her baby started to cry. "Shhh." Miranda whispered.

Her baby wasn't hearing any of that. "Adira shh. It's okay." Miranda whispered rocking her back and forth trying to wrapped her up more to make sure she was warm.

Miranda pulled her sweatshirt up and moved her to her breast trying to get her crying baby to latch on. Poor thing was probably traumatized. She got snatched out of her warm world and into a cold and dark one quick.

Adira finally latched on and Miranda sighed in relief as she drunk quieting her noise. "You were pretty hungry won't you." Miranda chuckled.

Sitting there on the dirty floor in the dark. Miranda thought, she didn't know what to do. She wanted someone to come for her. Maybe Ben got the messages and he called someone and they told her that she was missing. Tucker had to have gone to the hospital and they realized.

She had her eyes closed as she breastfed. She would be a liar to say that she wasn't extremely tired. She let her do 15 minutes of drinking on one side before burping her and switching to the other.

After 30 minutes she was completely done, Miranda burped her once more and wrapped her up again before rocking her to sleep.

Her daughter had a strong grip. She had her hand wrapped around Miranda's index finger. "You are so beautiful." Miranda whispered still rocking as she slept.

"You're going to be so smart and so brave and so funny. If you're anything like me, you won't take crap from anyone. You will command a room when you walk in. You will be a champion and succeed in anything you set your mind too. You are going to be the perfect mixture of your father and I. So, I know you are destined for greatness. I can't wait for you to meet your father. He's going to love you ten times over, ohh and your brother, he is going to be so protective over you. The life you're going to live will be so beautiful and I can only hope I'm in it because God I don't want to miss this. " Miranda whispered getting emotional as tears filled her eyes. She felt so weak but when the coast was clear she was going to move to get out of here.

Miranda pushed up trying to stand. Her legs were weak and she still was in so much pain. Tears still fell from her eyes and she huffed. She looked around and she didn't see any windows. She didn't know where any of the exits were and she was nervous that she actually could be waiting at an exit.

Miranda tiptoed to the door and she looked both ways. Depending on the warehouse or barn. Windows are normally either on the sides or just in the front or the back.

She quickly walked across the floor stepping in God's know what as the bottom of her feet felt wet.

Making it to another room. She closed the door. Out of breath she leaned against the wall as she cried in pain.

Miranda looked around the darker room and she felt the walls. She kept rolling her finger trying to feel for something.

Miranda felt and indention and, in the darkness, she knew that it was a board covering a window.

She backed up and sat her sleeping baby down on a box or crate and she pulled at the sides of the board as hard as she could. She could tell that it was nailed or something.

"Dam." Miranda cursed and continued to pull against it. She smiled as she heard a crack meaning she was getting some lead way. After 10 minutes of pulling, it finally broke and she could kind of see the outside. The windows were stained cloudy. She didn't see a latch. "This is the most ridiculous shit." Miranda huffed. It's like she can't get a break.

Miranda hated to do this but she unwrapped her very content baby and used the towel to wrap around her hand before she bust through the window. "Umph." Miranda groaned in pain and she waved her hand around clearing it out from the glass. She then grabbed Adira and she slide her small body into her sweat shirt laying her head on her shoulder cupping the back of her head to support her neck.

She heard loud banging noise behind her and Miranda slid through the window and she jumped down the small jump. Her bare feet hitting the grass.

Ben was looking at the time. He had 12 minutes before he would get there.

He called the police and they told him that they were sending cars there.

Miranda looked at the high grass as she looked around. She didn't even see a road. She didn't know which way to run.

If she wasn't so weak and didn't have her baby, she honestly would have killed Camille with her bare hands.

The grass was up to Miranda's knees. She prayed it wasn't snakes or anything else in this grass, it was already sickening to feel mud between her toes and on the bottom of her feet.

"Miranda." Camile called from the window.

Miranda dropped down into the grass careful to not let Adira touch the ground or anything. She crawled through the grass. "Shit." Miranda yelled as she heard a gun shot. It hit the ground beside her. Miranda eyes widen as she stayed still. She heard 3 more shots sound off and she cried but thanked God because it wasn't close to her.

Miranda kept crawling and scooting. She was in so much pain and sweating like crazy. She was sure her sweats were drenched in sweat.

Miranda snapped her head up when she heard sirens. She kept crawling to get closer to where the noise was coming from.

Ben pulled up just as he saw the police cars driving as well. It was tall grass with a barn or warehouse off in the back. That looked old, abandoned and broke down.

He got of the car immediately.

Miranda pushed up on her knees with one hand never neglecting to hold her baby steady and she slowly stood but cried in pain.

"Help me." Miranda yelled out as loud as her scarred vocal cords and throat could produce.

Ben looked at the woman standing in the field calling for help. "Miranda." Ben yelled back as he ran from the street to the grass.

"Ben." Miranda called back as she continued to move quickly.

Ben ran as fast as his feet would allow as he ran to her. When he got close enough. He could see that she was holding a baby on her chest but her sweat shirt and pants were soaked with blood and mud.

"Miranda." Ben said when he got to her. Miranda came close to him and she fell into him.

"It's okay I'm here. The ambulance is coming." Ben said as he felt her body get heavier.

"Miranda." Ben called out holding her body up. Her hand fell from around the baby and Ben replaced it with his own.

"I need help over here." Ben called out tears clouding his vision.

Ben reached under her and scooped her legs up putting her into his arms. Making sure the baby was okay still laying on Miranda. Her eyes were open but she seemed content. Maybe it was the skin to skin contact of her mother that helped her stay out of distress.

Ben walked with her until he reached the road just as the rigg pulled up.

"Female, 32. Bleeding out from the abdomen, complications from a cesarean provide by an unskilled kidnapper."

They laid her on the bed and Ben looked at her sadly. He needed her to be okay. She had to make it through this. This was his whole life laying on this gurney.

He watched as they hooked her up to ivs and the other took the baby off of her. He watched the precious life that him and Miranda created and he was in awe. She was absolutely beautiful and the head full of hair explained Miranda's heartburn.

"We are starting a line to start her with receiving blood. Her platelets count is low." The Emt explained

Ben nodded and watched as the police came out of the warehouse with Camille kicking and he reached for his gun on his side. He was about to end her life.

Ben marched over with his gun drawn. He saw red.

"Detective what are you doing?" One the officers questioned.

"How could you be that evil and sick." Ben yelled. "You kidnapped her, took our baby out of her stomach. How could you be this cold."

"Yeah I did it and I would do it again. You took my heart and stomped on it. You were all I had and you betrayed me." She yelled.

"You know I would have never done nothing like that it just happened. I didn't meant to fall in love with someone but you go and do this." Ben yelled harshly as he put his finger on the trigger.

"Detective she is not worth your freedom. You have a beautiful wife and child that's being transported to the hospital as we speak. Do this and you be In jail right with her."

"Do it Ben. Killed me and that woman is not his wife." She encouraged but then snapped at the police.

Ben put the gun down and he turned to walk to his care.

"I knew you still cared about me " She chimed.

"I wouldn't even spit on you if you were on fire. Rot in jail and then burn in hell." Ben remarked before walking off to his car.

Ben got to the hospital and he went to the front desk asking about Miranda and his baby.

"Your wife needed a blood transfusion. She's still in the or. I will have a nurse or surgeon come out to talk to you and tell you what room number."

Ben sat for about two hours before a nurse came and told him her room number and that his baby was in the nursery.

He walked inside and looked at Miranda on the bed. "The blood transfusion went well. We went in and reopened her uterus and incision spot. We irrigated and went in with saline and antiseptic to clean her wound before we sewed everything back up properly and applied the proper wound dressing. A nurses aid came and cleaned her body, nails, feet, dressed her cuts and everything after taking pictures for evidence. We also drew blood for test to see what was in her system. " The doctor finished explaining.

"Thank you so much." Ben praised.

"No problem, a pediatric nurse will come down with your baby as well in a little bit. Hopefully mama will be up and ready to feed if that's her desire."

Ben sat down and grabbed her hand. "This is all my fault." Ben said out loud sadly.

"I'm sorry Miranda if I would have just told her up front about us. This wouldn't have happened to you."

"Ben Warren this is not your fault. We can't predict what some crazy person will do. Even if you would have told her. Who's to know that she wouldn't have did this still. It's not your fault, hell maybe it the both of our fault. After I knew you were engaged that didn't stop me. We still carried on with our relationship." Miranda huffed as she talked quietly.

Ben grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes. "I should have never left Miranda and I'm sorry, If you want to talk about everything so you are not holding it in. I'm right here. You can tell me anything and every detail." Ben encouraged and Miranda smiled weakly as she began to speak.

"So, wait a minute you sewed your own uterus and stomach closed?" Ben asked a disbelief.

"Mmm-hmm. " Miranda nodded.

"I'm so sorry you had to do that but wow you are so dam strong." Ben commented.

"My names Miranda Bailey right" Miranda teased.

The two looked up at the door as the nurse brought Adira in.

"Your healthy baby girl is 17 inches long and she is 6 pounds and 9 ounces."

Miranda was glad that she was a healthy weight. She smiled as the nurse lifted her and brought her over to Miranda.

"Hi beautiful." Miranda spoke looking her to her big brown eyes.

"She is so beautiful." Ben repeated.

"Have you held her?" Miranda questioned.

"No." Ben replied softly.

"Here." Miranda stated and Ben stood from the chair. Miranda placed her in his arms, fixing her cap.

Ben looked down at her and he smiled. "She looks just like you Miranda." Ben commented.

"You're definitely in there. I see a lot of you Ben." Miranda responded looking over at them.

"I love you Miranda." Ben confessed again.

"I love you too." Miranda replied as she poked her lips out of a kiss.

They watched as Adira started crying. "I think she's hungry." Miranda said and she reached for her.

She started to breastfeed her and Ben watched amazed. Women were so strong.

"Babe. I think you should go to counseling."

"Ben I'm not go-

"Miranda I think you should go talk to a therapist. I don't want this to affect you later down the line. You should get a head of it now."

"Ben i-

"How about this, so the doctor said you will be here for a week to make sure that your wound is healing well. Why don't you just have a pych doctor come down and talk to you. Do it all here." Ben encouraged.

"You know what fine Ben. I will."

"Thank you." Ben smiled. I have to go pick Tuck up." Ben added.

"Where is he?"

"He's with Callie." Ben answered.

"Okay thanks Ben, I really appreciate you."

Ben left and went to go get Tuck before he drove back. He had Tuck around his neck as they walked.

Ben's eyes widen when he got to the room and he didn't see Miranda or the baby.

"Miranda." Ben yelled.

"Ben why are you yelling. I had to use the bathroom."

"And you rolled her in there with you." Ben questioned.

"I'm not letting her out of my sight."

"Hi my baby boy." Miranda gleamed looking at Tuck.

"Hi mommy." Tuck cheered.

"You want to see you sister. You're a big brother now." Miranda smiled and Tuck nodded his head as Ben let him down. He ran into Miranda's leg hugging her.

God she swore nothing in life compared to the hug your child gives you. You never know you needed it until they squeeze and wrap their little arms around you.

"I love you so much Tuck." Miranda told him.

"I love you mommy."

"Hey Ben can you take him to wash his hands." Miranda asked.

Ben nodded and lifted Tuck up taking him to wash his hands.

Miranda was laid back in the bed holding her baby and she watched as her other baby came out. "Here climb up here." Miranda instructed.

Tuck sat on the side of Miranda and Miranda held the baby out in front of him.

"She's your sister."

Ben and Miranda watched as he touched her hand. He seemed to be in awe of the little life in front of him.

"Tiny." He commented.

Two weeks later. Ben and Miranda were decorating their huge Christmas tree with Tuck.

After Ben lifted Tuck to put the star on. He spoke softly. "I'm going to change our little one and then I'll be right back... Tuck you want to come?" Ben asked and Tuck nodded smiling.

Ben was nervous, he was proposing to Miranda and after the hell she's been through because of him. He only hoped that it wasn't rushed or moving to fast.

Ben changed Adira into a cute white shirt with red writing. He put her on red pants with white polka dots and white socks. Ben handed Tuck the bouquet of roses and he smiled.

"Hey Miranda can you grab that gold box ornament and open it." Ben called out from the hallway.

Miranda got up from the couch laughing. Ben why would you want me to break the box. Ornaments can't open." Miranda retorted chuckling.

"That one does." Ben commented. He watched from the corner as she grabbed the box and open the latch.

"Ben." Miranda whispered as she turned to face him and her mouth gaped looking at Ben on one knee.

She read Adira's shirt. "Mommy will you Marry Daddy."

"Yes, I'll marry you. Of course." Miranda cried.

Tuck handed Miranda the roses and he looked at her cautiously.

"Ben mommy's crying." Tuck said sadly.

"Oh no, honey it's tears of joy. I'm crying because I'm happy." Miranda explained wiping her eyes. She grabbed the baby and Ben grabbed the box from her hand taking the huge ring out and sliding it on her finger.

"It's beautiful." Miranda complimented as she pulled him up. They hugged for a while before they kissed passionately.

"This is the best Christmas eve ever.' Miranda smiled against his lips."

"So how do you want to bring in Christmas." Ben teased.

"Can I sit on your lap and tell you what I really want this year. Let's be naughty and save Santa the trip tonight because I want to jingle your bells and make this a really white Christmas." Miranda whispered.

"Christmas is coming and soon you will be too." Ben replied kissing her again.

"Okay buddy let's leave some cookies for Santa and then we will get ready for bed so Santa can leave all his toys." Ben said smiling grabbing his hand.

Miranda fed Adira and put her down to sleep. She cleaned up and waited until Tuck was in his room because they brought all the gifts out.

After she was done, she turned around to see Ben leaning against the wall.

"What you thinking about Dr. Warren?"

"All is I want for Christmas is you. Futures Mrs. Warren...naked." Ben said stalking over to her.

"I love you." Miranda chimed wrapping her arms around his neck as she chuckled.

"I love you too. " Ben responded kissing her before pulling her to their bedroom.
