Damn, this place was huge.
Leonard Snart was exploring every place on the ship he could. He had to know everything about it for him to live here comfortably for however long.
And he could find any hiding spots or easily accessible escape panels when things go wary. Which based on the "team" this Rip guy had assembled, that would happen quite often. He wasn't certain how he felt about all this. He wasn't a hero, but he still found himself convincing Mick it would be beneficial for both of them. Maybe it would. The ship itself was what really sparked his attention.
The ship sailed through time. Time travel.
Leonard was only taken aback by the confirmation time travel existed for about 1 minute and 11 seconds. It wasn't a complete out-of-this-world concept considering he lived in a city with Metahumans, who are the definition of impossible. How much more could seem impossible to a person after witnessing a simple human control the weather or travel faster than the speed of sound.
It just made sense for time travel to exist.
Now, with that all being disclosed, the ship had made its way through time. The future. The past. The present. Imagine how many valuable items that are worth more than Leonard's life are waiting for him to snatch right out of the Captain's hands.
He would've scoped out the place much earlier if they weren't forced to begin their mission right away. Now that it was out of the way (well, half of it anyway), and the rest of the team were all in their sleeping quarters, he had time to go through the place.
Leonard walked into the front of the ship, the bridge as he heard Hunter call it, and paused. There all the seats were located. The perfect number of seating. Strange. He noted that earlier and decided to think about it later.
It was later. He didn't know what to deduct from it. Coincidences do happen. He wasn't one for believing in coincidences, but he didn't really know what else to make of it. He frowned and walked to the central console where that A.I. robot thingy was located.
What was its name again?
Leonard had tuned out almost everything Hunter was saying, but now he realized how stupid that was. He could accidentally slip and spill some valuable information. Valuable how? He wasn't quite sure, but who knows, anything could benefit him. He needed to listen to every word.
'Think Leonard, think.'
It began with a G.
The voice sounded feminine. Gladys? That didn't sound remotely correct. Genesis? Wait, no, maybe it was—
"What are you doing, Leonard?"
Shit. It was Sara. He actually liked her, but he did NOT want the company right now.
He smoothly turned to look at her. Her hair was loose, and she was wearing black leggings with a black top. He made sure it was apparent he was looking her up and down. Not for her to think he was attracted to her, but to make it known he was one to analyze.
He knew he succeeded in doing that when she rolled her eyes and said, "No need to scrutinize me." She walked towards him.
He cocked an eyebrow, "There's always a need to scrutinize," he said flatly.
Sara crossed her arms, "Is that what you learned from all your years as a criminal?"
He smirked. She was witty, like him. He appreciated that. She was also a total badass from what he had seen.
"You say criminal like I'm some scum someone finds on their shoe." He was no scum.
Sara let out a laugh and walked towards the console as well, observing it. "No, I don't think you're a scum," she turned to look at him, "I just think you're a cold hearted criminal."
He raised his eyebrows slightly, "Cold hearted? Oh, you wound me."
She chuckled and turned her head towards him, leaning on the console, "So, I'll ask again. What are you doing?"
He had a split second to decide if it was worth lying, but then he thought Sara might be curious about how this A.I. worked too. She seemed like one to be curious about such things.
"Trying to figure out how this A.I. thing works. It clearly knows a lot about the past, future, present. And a lot about us. I just want to know what else this thing knows. And how." He looked back down at the console.
She followed his gaze and frowned. "Yeah it almost knew too much. I'm curious too."
Leonard was sure this thing did know too much but didn't voice that thought.
"It had a name. Uhm, let's see," she shifted her gaze upward in thought.
"It began with a G," he said, eyebrows furrowed.
"Was it—?" She was interrupted.
"Oh hey, are you guys talking to Gideon?"
'Ah, Gideon!'
They both turned to look at the tall science geek. Raymond was his name.
Sara raised an eyebrow, "We were trying to remember its name. Gideon, you said?"
Raymond nodded in confirmation but had an amused look. "Uh, yeah, Gideon. But, um, I'm pretty sure you didn't need the name to get her attention. She's always listening so if you said something indicating you wanted to talk to her, I'm pretty positive she would've appeared."
Leonard turned towards Sara as she said, "Well, that would've been nice to know."
Raymond smiled sheepishly. Leonard frowned, "If she's always listening why didn't she start talking when we were clearly struggling to remember her name?"
Raymond frowned, "Well— "
"Well, Mr. Snart, that is because it was amusing listening to you and Ms. Lance struggle to remember my name," Gideon suddenly said.
Sara cracked a small smile, "Wow, okay Gideon."
Leonard raised his eyebrows in slight amusement. Science Nerd found that fascinating, "Wow you found it amusing? How are you able to feel emotions? How complex are you?"
Well, that was a good question. Robots don't have emotions. This was immensely advanced.
"I'm afraid I can't answer that Mr. Palmer," Gideon said.
Raymond looked disappointed, "Why can't—?"
"I thought I heard voices."
Was everyone on this damn ship prone to interrupting?
He sighed, and Sara gave him an amused look as all three of them turned to look at who invited themselves into their conversation.
This time, two people were interrupting: the fire kid and the pretty woman who could turn into a hawk or something along those lines.
Names. Damn, he's had a talent at remembering names since the age of five; why was it failing him now?
"What are you three doing?" Asked the kid, whose name was lost on him.
Sara let out a breath and said, "We are talking to Gideon. We want more information about this whole thing."
Leonard stole a glance at her. He didn't really care about finding out information about this "whole thing," he just wanted to know the extent to the A.I.'s knowledge. And how it has its infinite knowledge.
Raymond smiled at the hawk woman, "Would you want to join us?" Smitten. Absolutely smitten.
She smiled back and said, "Yeah, I'm a little curious too."
The kid nodded, "Yeah, that thing started to creep me out a bit, I'm down to learn more."
Leonard briefly wondered if he should wake Mick, then thought he wouldn't give two shits about this. He'd fill him in later if he were interested.
Soon enough, all five of them were sitting in a circle around the console. They immediately realized sitting on the floor wasn't the most comfortable, so Science Nerd got them fold-out chairs ('where the hell did he get those from?'), and they all got comfortable.
"Uh, why can't we just sit in the, you know, actual seats?" The kid asked. He raised his hand too. Cute.
Raymond frowned and said, "Oh, uh, I just thought it wouldn't be as comfortable sitting that, um, you know…" he trailed off, looking awkwardly at the Hawk woman.
Leonard and Sara glanced at each other questionably. "Sitting that what?" Sara asked, eyebrow quirked.
The fire kid shook his head, "Ah gotcha man," he said with a laugh.
Raymond blushed. Leonard understood then. So did Sara, apparently as she let out a chuckle.
He was going to say, "Sitting that far apart."
The Hawk woman was sitting right next to him, and they all weren't far spread out since they were gathered around the console. How sweet. Science Nerd was trying to be smooth. However, he was currently blushing as red as the Flash's suit, so Leonard decided to take pity on him.
"So," he started. They all looked at him. "How do we want to do this?"
The fire kid shrugged and said, "Uh, I dunno man, we could just take turns?"
Take turns. Leonard Snart was not used to taking turns.
Sara sat up straight and leaned slightly into the console, "I'll go first," she declared firmly.
Looks like Leonard Snart is going to take turns.
Nobody protested Sara's statement. Good thing too, she looked serious all of a sudden.
"Uhm, Gideon?" She prompted.
Gideon appeared once again, "Yes, Ms. Lance?"
Sara quickly glanced at the others. "How much do you know about us?" She asked, almost too curious. Leonard frowned and waited for the answer.
"Well, Ms. Lance, I know everything."
Well then.
The Hawk woman's eyebrows raised while she muttered to Raymond, who also looked astonished, "Everything?"
Sara did not seem satisfied with the answer; however, "Yeah, I know, but what does 'everything' include? Do you only know our history, and I guess future? Or can you— "
"I believe I understand what you are asking Ms. Lance. The short answer is yes."
Fire kid frowned. So did Leonard.
Sara was going to open her mouth once more, but Leonard cut her off, "Well, I think it's safe to say you asked more than a turn's worth, so I'll go next."
She reluctantly agreed and let out a sigh, and leaned back.
Leonard thought about his question for a moment. "Is it beyond your capabilities, Gideon, to show live footage of a particular person or event?"
Fire Kid let out a startled laugh, "You stalkin' someone dude?"
He felt Sara chuckle slightly next to him. He was glad to see Science Nerd and his crush look intrigued by the question, most likely for different reasons.
"No, Mr. Snart, it is not. I can contact other consoles with access to the same Gideon system, as well. Do you wish to see your sister, Mr. Snart?"
This sparked different reactions…at the exact same time.
Sara looked at him, "You have a sister?"
Hawk Woman and Fire Kid both looked utterly confused, most likely about what Gideon had said about "other consoles."
Raymond looked like he was about to combust. He was practically vibrating with excitement, "Are you implying there are other Gideon's?!"
Leonard decided to speak before anyone could say something else, "Yes, Sara I have a sister, and no, Gideon, we can hold off on that for a bit."
"Very well, Mr. Snart."
"Wait, Gideon! Did you say there are other Gideon's!?" Raymond repeated, very enthused. Damn, he was slowly regretting asking that question. He got what he needed, though. He can check up on Lisa, and others, anytime. He felt more at ease with that knowledge.
He sat back and let out a sigh and saw Sara giving him a distinct look from the corner of his eye. What look exactly? Leonard didn't want to find out.
"Dude!" Fire Kid exclaimed. "It was my turn!"
Raymond looked at him sheepishly and let out an uneasy laugh. "Whoops, my bad Jax."
Jax! That's right. How did he forget that? It was such a simple nickname. He then suddenly remembered the Professor calling him Jefferson.
Jefferson shook his head and said, "Anyway, Gideon did you say there were other Gideon's?"
Science Nerd beamed at Jax.
Leonard suspected the kid didn't actually have a question in mind.
"Yes, Mr. Jackson. There are other consoles with access to my very same Gideon services. However, I only have access to one other. Any other being restricted or not existing entirely."
My, oh my.
Jax glanced at the rest of them, "Damn, this thing really be complex, huh."
Raymond breathed an amazed laugh, "Yeah. Yeah it really is."
Sara raised her eyebrows, impressed. Leonard had to admit he was impressed as well. It seemed like Hunter created quite the Artificial Intelligence. He was from the future, after all. Technology and science must've been at a special place for him to make such a complex A.I.
Hawk Woman looked at Raymond with wide eyes, "Um, okay wow," she started. "Uh, Gideon?"
"Yes, Ms. Saunders?"
Saunders. Damn, now what was her first name? Leonard needed to step up his listening game if he couldn't remember something as simple as a name.
"Where is this 'other Gideon.'?" She asked. They were all intrigued by that question.
"Somewhere almost everyone on this ship is very familiar with." She sounded slightly amused.
Huh. Interesting.
Gideon took a pause, and everyone looked confused. Raymond was muttering something and looked like he was thinking hard. A waste of energy if you asked Leonard, Gideon was literally about to tell them.
"S.T.A.R. Laboratories."
Whatever Leonard had been expecting, it was not that.
S.T.A.R. Labs? Really? Why on earth would they have access to Gideon? Unless they had access without knowing. Well, they must've known. Maybe she helps with their whole superhero team. Actually, if that had been the case, Leonard would have seen or heard her last time he had broken in. Well, more like waltzed in. For a high-tech superhero facility, they were poorly guarded.
Raymond looked shell-shocked. So did Jax. And Saunders too.
He glanced at Sara, who just seemed perplexed. "S.T.A.R. Labs? You mean those guys have access to all this information? Do they just not use it?"
By the way, she was talking, it seemed like she was familiar with them. And judging by the other three's reaction, they did too.
Was the superhero world really that small?
Raymond recovered first, "Wait- I don't understand, d-do they—?" He cut himself off.
Saunders let out a small surprised laugh and said, "Cisco definitely did NOT tell me about this."
Cisco? Leonard squinted. She knew him personally then, did she?
"Wait you know Cisco?" Jax asked her. Raymond looked at her as well.
She shifted, "Uhm yeah, we dated for like two weeks." Dated. Past tense. He would have to pass the word to Lisa.
Sara joined in, "Cisco as in Cisco Ramon?"
Well, it looks like the superhero world was actually that small.
They all looked at her, "You know Cisco too?" They all asked.
Sara smirked, "Sort of. My sister, Laurel, told me someone by the name Cisco Ramon made my suit. Felicity mentioned he had made a lot of shit for Team Arrow. I haven't actually met him, but I know he works with The Flash. And I haven't formally met him either. Know who he is though. Laurel talks a lot." She finished with a small laugh.
Leonard processed that. There indeed were connections everywhere.
Raymond raised his eyebrows and smiled wide at her, "Cisco made your White Canary suit!?"
Sara laughed and nodded, "Yeah, did he make yours too?"
"Well not really, I made it myself, but he did offer his assistance five or so months ago."
Leonard smirked. Cisco sure made a lot of things, didn't he? He wondered how they'd all react if he told them little Cisco made his Cold Gun.
Saunders laughed, "Wow so we all know Cisco then? He really is an amazing guy." She said with a twinkle of amusement in her eyes.
Jax nodded, "Yeah, heh, uhm, he and the rest of Team Flash helped Gray and I with the whole FIRESTORM thing." He said with a laugh.
Leonard shook his head in slight amusement, "How much helping do those folks do?"
They all turned to him, somewhat surprised.
"Wait a minute, Leonard. Don't tell me you know Team Flash too?" Sara asked eyebrow raised.
"He's Captain Cold, Sara. Of course he does," Raymond said. "Not really in the way we do, though."
Jax frowned, "Wait now that we've all established we are connected by Team Flash, and I guess Team Arrow too," he said, the last part pointing at Sara and Raymond, "I still don't get why they have, you know, this whole thing." He said, gesturing to Gideon.
Gideon suddenly spoke, "I'm still available for questions, in case you've all forgotten," yes, they did forget.
They all shared glances and nodded.
"Uhm," Raymond started.
"Would you like me to contact the S.T.A.R. Labs console? You could ask them all the questions yourself." Gideon said.
Now that would be fun. He wouldn't admit it, but he thought he would miss that bunch. Even Dr. Snow's uptight attitude was fun to push.
Saunders shook her head, "I don't think they'd appreciate getting all these questions from us without knowing what was going on. I don't know about the rest of you but I didn't really tell Cisco about all this."
Good point. Leonard usually wasn't one for the rules, but he didn't know what damage could be done if they tell the wrong people the wrong thing.
He outwardly frowned at that thought. Team Flash wasn't what he would describe as the wrong people.
Sara suddenly shook her head and said, "It's my turn. Gideon, why would Rip make you and then make another you at S.T.A.R. Labs? He doesn't exactly work there."
Again. Good question.
"Oh, you seem to be mistaken. Captain Hunter didn't create me, Ms. Lance." Gideon said.
What.
Jax frowned, "He didn't? Did he steal you, then?"
"He didn't need to. He already had ownership of me. I'm afraid I can elaborate more on that fact, Mr. Jackson."
Wait, if Hunter didn't make this thing…the time masters did?
Leonard asked, "Who made you, then? Are you allowed to tell us that?"
Gideon paused, "I have not been prohibited to withhold that specific piece of information from you, exactly." Another pause. "Again, you are all quite familiar with this person."
They all waited. Leonard noted how ecstatic Raymond looked.
"Barry Allen created me."
Again, Leonard did not expect that.
"Barry Allen?! As in The Flash, Barry Allen?!" Raymond practically yelled.
Jax flinched, "Dude, my ears."
"That is correct, Mr. Palmer."
How the hell did Barry Allen create something as advanced as this? He knew the kid was smart but damn. This wasn't just smart. This was beyond genius.
Sara look shared a looked with Saunders.
Jax looked mind blown. "Woah, woah, woah, okay now I have a thousand more questions. I know what you said, Kendra—" (Ah dammit, that was her name), "—but I need to know what the hell Barry Allen is doing with his life knowing he created THIS."
Kendra nodded and looked to Raymond, who looked like Barry had betrayed him. Leonard would've laughed if he wasn't too busy thinking how the kid managed to create something this complex but still struggled to trust the right person.
Sara spoke up, "Gideon, could you contact Team Flash, or whatever you said you could do?"
"Contacting S.T.A.R. Laboratories."
The damn thing was ringing.
He thought it would've been immediate, but there probably had to be someone on the other end to accept the call.
Ringing.
It was still ringing.
"Is someone supposed to answer…?" Asked Kendra after a good minute of anticipation.
"What the hell?"
'Eloquent as always, kid.' Leonard thought.
A large clear image of Barry Allen took over Gideon's spot. He looked exhausted. It must've been the middle of the night. He was wearing dark gray sweatpants with a light gray t-shirt. His hair wasn't done but instead loose and falling his eyes.
Yeah, they definitely woke the kid up.
Funny thing, too, he looked just as confused as the rest of them did.
"What— I don't— What are you—?" The kid seemed to be confused about what a coherent sentence was.
"What the hell are you guys doing? How do you even know each other?" He finally said.
Sara frowned and looked at him confused, "Didn't Oliver tell you?"
Oliver? Oh, yes. Oliver Queen. Apparently, he was the Arrow.
Honestly, quite fitting.
The kid looked extremely confused for a moment, then a look of realization filled his features.
"Oh, uhm, yeah he did," he said while shaking his head and rubbing his eyes. "I was honestly a little offended."
Kendra laughed lightly while Jax looked confused, "Why?" He said.
Barry finally looked at them properly, and Leonard could see his eye bags. Damn, does this kid not sleep?
"Uh well first of all, Jax," Barry started. Jax quirked an eyebrow,"Ray talked to Oliver, while Sara went to talk to Laurel, and nobody wanted my opinion, apparently," he said in a humorous tone. Still, Leonard could tell he was somewhat offended.
Leonard considered tracking down the Speedster but decided he didn't want the kid to rub it in his face and let out a string of "I told you so!"
All of them, minus Leonard, laughed lightly at that.
Barry suddenly looked at him directly and had an… amused expression on his face? Oh god, this was what he tried avoiding.
He must've outwardly replicated his thoughts because right when Barry was about to speak, Sara piped in, "So, Barry."
He looked to her curiously and said, "I'm guessing you all called for a reason?"
They all nodded and traded a couple of glances.
He looked slightly concerned, "Do you need help? I could call Oliver and we could— "
No, he was not listening to this, "Barry, would you quit being hero for one minute?"
Sara rolled her eyes at Leonard while Barry shut his pretty little mouth and looked even more confused.
"I don't— "
Raymond cut in, very boldly, "How did you make Gideon? And why did NO ONE mention it to me that you made an advanced, complex interactive artificial consciousness? I thought Cisco would geek out about that!"
Barry looked like he was about to pass out.
"I-I- wait h-how do you know about Gideon?"
"Gideon is on our ship, Barry," Sara said flatly.
Did he not know? Well, he must not have because the look he had made Leonard think he might actually pass out.
"What— w-wait woah. No, hold on!"
Jax snorted, "We're holding, dude."
Sara smirked in amusement and Barry's flustered expression.
He took a deep breath and looked at them, "How did you guys get Gideon on your ship, when she is with me right now?"
"Well—" Jax started but was immediately interrupted by Raymond.
"This Gideon told us there are two versions of her."
Barry looked even more confused. Damn, they were about to kill this kid from shock if they don't stop.
"How the hell did— how did Hunter make another Gideon by himself!" He said.
Kendra, who has been quietly enjoying his reaction, decided to speak up, "Um, well, that's why we called, Bar." Bar. Was Kendra really that close with Barry she was used to calling him "Bar."
Well, she did date Cisco, and aren't he and Barry best friends? It probably rubbed off on her.
Barry's eyebrows furrowed. She continued, "Gideon told us you made her…."
They all turned to look at him, waiting for his reaction.
A look of realization clouded his features as he looked down and shook his head, "Oh, yeah, uh right. I keep on forgetting that." He mumbled the last part, but they still heard it.
Leonard cocked an eyebrow. How the hell could anyone forget they made something like this.
"Barry!" Raymond said, surprised. Barry looked up, startled. Oh, boy.
"How the hell could you forget?! This is by far one of the most, if not the most, technological complex invention I've ever seen. And I used to date Felicity Smoak!" He said, somewhat hysterically.
Barry sighed and ran a hand down his face. Damn, Leonard almost feels bad they woke the kid up. He didn't seem like he usually gets much sleep.
Sara spoke up before Barry could even say anything, "When did you even have the time to build this?"
That is curious. Team Flash always seems to have some villain to beat.
Barry looked up again and sighed once more. There was a gust of wind and a trail of lightning, and he was gone.
Leonard's eyebrows shot up. Did the kid just leave?
Jax let out a breathy laugh, "Damn, did Barry just—?"
And then he was back with a chair and what looked to be a protein bar. He traded glances with Sara. Oh, boy, was this really going to be a long story?
Barry looked at them sheepishly. "Uh, this isn't really a long story," he could probably read his and Sara's glances, "I'm just really tired and want to sit down. And I felt like I was about to pass out so I got a bar."
Leonard rolled his eyes. At least this isn't a long story.
Raymond shook his head, "Barry, how did you make Gideon?"
Barry was currently chewing and answered with a mouthful, "Um, I didn't."
Oh god, how much longer was everyone going to confuse the shit out of Leonard today? He missed straight answers.
Kendra looked at Jax, and he mouthed at her, "What the fuck is going on?"
Barry saw their expressions and said, "Well I-I mean, yeah, I did, but not yet," he finished lamely.
Sara cocked an eyebrow, "What does that mean?"
Barry struggled for words and opened his mouth, but Raymond suddenly had a look of understanding, "Ohhhhhhh! I got it, Barry, don't worry. How didn't I think of that?" He said with a small laugh while shaking his head.
Barry nodded at him while taking another bite of his bar. He then did that cute scrunch thing with his face and looked to his side; Leonard had noted he did quite often.
The rest of them looked confused. Jax opened his mouth, "I—What?!"
Barry looked back and said, "Oh, yeah sorry. Uh, my current self hasn't made her yet, but my future self has. Time travel, you know? Does that make sense?"
It shouldn't, but yes, it does.
Sara looked a bit confused, while Kendra and Jax slowly nodded.
Jax spoke, "Man, by the way Rip was acting, he made it sound like he built her."
To Leonard's surprise, and also slight amusement, Barry scoffed. Sara and Kendra raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, like, Hunter could do that." Barry said, shaking his head and taking another bite of his bar.
Leonard slightly smirked. The tone the kid used indicated he had somewhat of a dislike towards their Captain. Which was weird because, Barry hasn't met Hunter, has he?
Raymond was about to say something, but Sara cut him off. Looks like she just thought of something.
"Wait," Sara started, "How do you have her if you haven't made her yet?"
Damn, Leonard needed to start thinking ahead as he did with literally everything. Why did that ability suddenly turn off? He blamed it on sleep deprivation.
"Uh, well, that's kind of a long story, and—" Barry started but was interrupted entirely by a loud blaring alarm.
Raymond, Kendra, and Jax all slightly jumped. So did Barry. He quickly flashed out of the room.
Sara frowned, "Well, I'm guessing there is an emergency."
Jax shook his head, "Yeah. Well, at least we got some answers."
Raymond shook his head in disbelief, "I can't believe Barry made Gideon. But since this happens in the future, I can still help!"
Ugh. Leonard is not looking forward to any more nerd talk that is most definitely going to happen.
Barry suddenly flashed back looking flustered, and a little panicked, and said, "Uh, s-sorry guys, emergency! Good luck with, uh, Savage, or whatever you're doing."
Kendra frowned, "Uh, Barry is it a big emergency? You seem pretty freaked. Is it Zoom?" She looked a bit freaked herself at the talk of Zoom.
Zoom. Yes, Zoom did make him nervous. He remembered watching him hold up bloody and bruised Flash. He was in prison at the time, during their free time when they are allowed out of their cell, and the little T.V. that plays the news showed them everything. The other inmates were cheering, but Leonard was not. He cracked a smile for appearances, but he was secretly worried.
Barry shook his head, "Uh, no, no, definitely not Zoom, but it is an armed robbery with hostages at 4:53 in the morning, and the CCPD seem forget they have a job on the weekends, so it's pretty important I have to get their quick, bye! Gideon, end call." The call ended.
Jax let out a breath, "Wow. That was interesting."
They all agreed. Sara still seemed confused about how Barry still had access to Gideon, and Leonard was sure they all were. He didn't want to ponder on it too much, right now.
Sara spoke up, "Well, I guess we should get some sleep. At least we know we have contact with Team Flash, and can always have a visual on people and events."
They all got up and slowly left the bridge.
Science Nerd was still shaking his head and muttering things to himself when he walked out.
Leonard turned to Sara as everyone cleared out, noticed she was still standing by the console, "Are you going to let your mind take a rest, or you planning on stalking someone?"
She looked at him and sighed, "I gotta keep an eye out for someone. Someone dangerous. It's pretty important I do." She didn't elaborate.
Leonard nodded, not trying to push her.
"Goodnight, Sara." He said.
She nodded at him, and he turned around and walked to his sleeping quarter.
Oh, what a night that was.
They were all on board, after the little fiasco at the bidding. Hunter was not happy how they exposed themselves to Savage; that lecture was annoying to listen to. However, Leonard was a little worried. Central City was going to be destroyed by 2016 because Raymond lost a part of his super-suit.
Now, all they needed to do was talk to the Professor's 25-year-old self.
Kendra and Carter came in with some article their son had before he died. Something about a dagger and some old language neither of them knew how to read. A plan was forming, and Hunter seemed more pleased than he did not that long ago.
"Splendid. Now, as for the dagger—" Hunter began.
"You need someone to steal it," Raymond said.
This was his territory.
"Okay, fine. Whatever, I'll do it." Leonard snatched the article and skimmed through it, "Article said it was purchased by some rich Russian douche bag named Sasha Mahnovski."
He walked away, only for Raymond to interrupt.
"I'll go with you." He said.
"I already got a partner."
"One who I trust even less than you." Ouch. Now here he thought they were getting close.
Leonard was going to keep walking, but the Captain turned to Raymond and said, "Look, you're more than welcome to go with them. Just don't take along any of your future tech."
Raymond nodded and started walking towards them. Oh, great. Now they'll have him questioning their every move.
"Gideon set a course for the United States, once Mr. Snart, Rory, and Palmer, get off the ship."
"Setting a course for the United States, Mr. Stick-up-his-ass."
They all paused.
Mr. What?
Hunter looked stunned. Mick let out a snort, "Looks like your little robot sees you for what you really are, Captain."
Jax snorted, which caused Sara to breathe a laugh, which led Leonard to allow himself a chuckle, which led Mick to laugh loudly, which led to everyone, minus the Professor, to start slowly losing their shit. Jax and Sara were leaning on each other for support, while Mick let out a couple of guffaws, and Leonard was smirking and letting out a couple of chuckles.
The Professor had a slight smile, or maybe a slight grimace, "Well, Captain, it seems your A.I. needs reevaluating. I would offer my assistance— "
"No need for your assistance, Dr. Stein. I have no system issues. I was ordered to only refer to Mr. Stick-up-his-ass as such."
"Oh my god." Sara said with a laugh.
Jax turned to everyone with a smile, "Alright, okay, who did this? I want you to know you have my gratitude."
Hunter turned towards the console, looking extremely annoyed. "Gideon, you are aware, surely, you are not to obey the instructions of anyone but me, unless it is a reasonable, necessary cause."
Leonard smirked again at Hunter's frustration.
"Nobody on this ship, commanded me to, Mr. Stick-up-his-ass." Cue another round of light laughter.
Hunter huffed, "Well, then who else could have possibly commanded you to—" He cut himself off.
He tightly shut his eyes and look the ceiling, "Oh, okay, Gideon. I see."
The Professor raised an eyebrow and said, "What is it, Captain? You seem to know who did this."
Hunter looked at him and said, "Let's just say, The Flash and I don't mesh well."
Well, played, Allen.
Well played.
