Hello faithful readers!
A/N
After countless PMs and reviews asking this, I decided to post a quick outtake and answer the million dollar question if Ana contracted HIV from Christian.
This is an outtake from chapter 3-it does not change the rest of the story. Ana still dies in the car accident.
I do not own FSOG.
Outtake chapter 3.
After Kate sneaked me out of my own home, I dropped her off at her apartment, thanked her, gave her a hug, and made her promise to call me once she got settled at her hotel in Germany.
After I dropped her off, I headed to my old bank to close out my checking account, and then meet up with the PI Kate hired for me.
When he called last night, he didn't say what he had found, just that there was enough dirt to destroy Christian if I so wanted.
Before I left the house this morning, I went into Christian's office and took $50k out of the safe to pay the PI, and I smirked when I realized that Christian was literally paying for his downfall...
After I met up with the PI and got the thumb drive with all the damaging info, I turned and headed out of town towards Montesano. I called Erica to let her know I was on the road, and she told me she would let me know as soon as she heard from Christian or his lawyer, and to drive safe.
Just as I hung up, another call came through, and I saw it was Dr. Greene's office.
I felt my stomach clench because I knew why she was calling..she had the results back from my STD tests...
I pulled over to take the call...I wasn't sure how I would react or if I would be able to drive if the news was bad.
I clear my throat and answer the phone "Hello Dr. Greene."
"Good morning, Ana. This is Abby from Dr. Greene's office...she has your test results back and wants to know if you have a minute to talk to her?"
I take a deep breath, trying to keep from throwing up, and tell her yes, I have time, and she transfers me back to Dr. Greene.
A few seconds later she picks up "Hello Ana. I have your test results back-I know you are anxious so I had them rushed. It's good news...everything came back negative. You are clean."
I sat there for a minute, letting it all sink in, and then a few uncontrolled sobs come out.
"Ana..are you OK? I said everything is negative...you and the baby are fine." she repeated.
Finally, I was able to get myself under control and thanked her for the good news, and told her I would see her at my next appointment.
I sat in the car for a few more minutes, and after the relief took over, I texted Kate the good news, pulled back on the road, and watched Seattle slowly disappearing in my rear view mirror.
100 miles to go...
