ANNOUNCEMENT:

I've got a Tumblr account! Well… not just mine, really.

I have a lot more confidence in my writing skills than my drawing skills, but I wanted to try a knack at some fan art of specific scenes from this book. And honestly, I had a lot of fun drawing and I think my artwork turned out not bad.

Also, if you've this far in the book, why wouldn't you want to see more Mothzilla fluff anyway?

As for 'not just mine.' Well, the account will be a joint one between me and my sibling. I think their artwork is MUCH better than mine, and honestly, we both needed someone to post their artwork in tandem with our own, just so we could get that little bit more confidence.

My sibling tackles a bunch of fandoms like JoJo's bizarre adventure, Your Lie in April and Netflix's The Dragon Prince, as well as some really good Original Characters. I myself want to tackle other fandoms when it comes to artwork, but I'll be focusing on making fan art for Moments of Peace for the meantime.

Here's the link-

I, of course, go under the name 'MamoruDraws' whilst my sibling goes under 'Cinnamon.'

(I think you'd instantly recognise our differing artwork anyway)

We hope you come check it out!

"You're doing a wonderful job at keeping up, Lora, Moll. Just a little longer."

With urgency filling their every step, and sharp breathes taken from their exhaustion and worry, the two pairs of sisters continued their journey to their important destination within the concealment of the cold night. They had long since left the beach they had arrived on, and waded their way deeper into the forest of the island housing the two titular Titan's that had been involved with the sudden and worrying talk within all of Monarch.

Keeping a strong hold on the young girls trailing behind them, Dr Ilene and Ling Chen traversed past the green and luscious greenery that surrounded them, both frequently turning around and inspecting the well-being of the young girls they travelled with. Whilst they had begun their travel at a much faster pace, they had inevitably slowed down to compensate for the twin children's tired and slow walking, the older sisters being more inclined to keep them as close as they could and not forcefully rush the small girls. Luckily for the young twins, they distracted themselves from their exhaustion by instead indulging themselves to the soft chittering and sounds many creatures that lived on the island would make. As well as the small lights certain insects would illuminate quite brightly within the forest, and the twinkling stars that glistened above on high. Seeing the child twins take in every aspect of the seemingly idyllic ambience of the night on the island, the two doctors in front couldn't help but smile and sigh a relieved breathe.

Suppose some form of happiness is imminent in a time of great worry.

"Big sister, I can't help but feel worried." one of the young twins- Lora- called out to the adult twins, eyeing the scenery around them to comfort herself, "Will Mosura be fine?"

"Yes big sisters, please tell us." the other child twin- Moll- continued, tugging slightly at, Ling's coat sleeve, who continued to guide her through the night, "Will Mosura be fine?"

Much like the elder twin sisters, the child twins were inexplicable indifferent from each other in terms of their voice and appearance. Similarly to the two doctors, the young girls spoke softly and smoothly- though with not as much a Chinese accent as their older sisters- but were just different enough for others to tell who was who. Besides from their voice, however, their wasn't much else that separated the two young girls- at least physically. Unlike Ling and Ilene, they both wore thick, dark brown coats with soft fur on the hoods to shield them from the cold. Even their hair was the same, now all neatly tucked into a ball that laid behind their heads. Really, the best way for someone to tell the young girls apart was the small hair accessory within each of the girls' hair- a gift given by their older sisters. With Lora, she wore a bright orange butterfly pin atop the left side of her hair. And with Moll, she wore a softly-coloured blue, butterfly pin atop the right side of her hair.

But their similarities weren't just physical nor audible. For when Ilene and Ling stopped in their tracks and turned around, they could see how worried the young girls were, from their twiddling thumbs to their sullen eyes that looked downwards. Smiling, Ling and Ilene took a moment to slowly crouch down to the young twins' level; Ling holding onto Lora's hands whilst Ilene held Moll's, both gently rubbing their respective child's fingers to warm and comfort them.

"Lora, Moll, Mosura is the strongest and bravest of all the Titans." Ling reassured confidently, her smile still clear within the night, "So I have no doubt in my mind that she's fine."

"Yes. And what she needs from you now, is to keep being brave and strong." Ilene inspirited, bringing a hand to Moll's chin and tilting it upwards so she could look her in the eye, "And we are so proud of you for doing this."

"But it's better to be safe than sorry." Ling stated softly, also brushing her hand against Lora's cheek, "That's why we've come here, so we can speak with Mosura and check she is fine."

"And I'm sure she would love to see you both again." Ilene finished cheerfully, placing a hand on Lora's shoulder and looking brightly at both of the child twins.

Instantly, the young girls' face lit up as their once slumped bodies straightened joyfully at the mythologist's words. "We'd like to see her, too!" the two girls exclaimed in sync, both as bubbly as the other, seemingly already forgetting their saddened state mere moments ago.

"Then let's hurry, shall we?" Ilene replied with a chuckle, grasping Moll's hand once more and continuing on her path, with Ling doing the same for Lora.

But as the twins followed behind them once again, Ilene couldn't keep the smile on her face, and narrowed her eyes in concern as they kept forward. "It pains me to not tell them the full truth about all of this." she whispered through the silence after a while, her eyes and voice serious once again. Luckily for her, the twins had again distracted themselves with the sights and sounds on the island, unable to hear their big sister's low tone.

"It's the best we can do for now, sister." Ling encouraged in a hushed tone, narrowing her own eyes as she walked along side Ilene, "But we mustn't let doubt and fear cloud our judgement. We, too, need to remain sure. For their sakes."

"I know, but we must soon explain to them the great meaning behind what they are sensing." Ilene exclaimed quietly. Instantly, Ling turned her eyes to face her sister, with Ilene doing the same; both knowing what she was referring to. As much as they didn't want to believe it, the fact couldn't be changed that something amiss was brewing within the Titan life. They couldn't ignore the impending feeling they sensed- the feeling of His return.

"His awakening must surely be some sort of anomaly in the cosmos, sister." Ling replied surely despite gritting her teeth and clutching her heart, desperately keeping herself from thinking about it, "I have faith within Mosura's wisdom and abilites, but even she can surely be wrong at times."

"Trust me, I want to doubt that Battra is awakening once more." Ilene spoke in a stilled voice, "But we both have sensed this impending doom, along with her."

"I guess it's better to clear things up, then." Ling nodded back, instinctively gripping Lora's hand a bit tighter as they came close to their destination.

Finally, Lora and Moll took their eyes from the greenery of the forest and towards the vast space they now stopped at. The clearing was massive, the soft grass where they stood slowly swaying within the night-time breeze as the trees around the area swayed with them. Honestly, the space was big enough to accompany even the King's massive size- and, to the knowledge of all four sisters, it had already done so in the past. Flowing gently and endlessly in front of them, towering with its size and majesty, yet strangely calming and tranquil because of its enchanting sight, stood the beautiful waterfall with rushing water and luscious greenery that twisted and turned amongst the wet rocks. All four of them knew this was a special place for Mothra, and so took a moment to revel in the picturesque view of the waterfall, now accompanied by small noises of interest the child twins would quietly make whenever a certain aspect of the waterfall caught their sight.

But they couldn't waste any more time. Now, they had a job to do.

"I shouldn't have to remind you we didn't come here just so we can check up on Mosura." Ilene remarked gravely, yet still remained gazing at the waterfall.

"No, of course not." Ling softly replied, mirroring her sisters low tone. But she began to let go of Lora's hand and clutch her arm tightly, lowering her head as the realisation of what was to come slowly came closer to her, "But with what we've learnt added to what she has learnt…"

"…I shake at the meaning behind all this." Ling admitted shakily, trying her best to not trip upon her words.

Seeing her sister so distressed, Ilene gently let go of Moll's hand and instead took up Ling's, getting her to look back at her with surprise. "But we are Shobijin." Ilene comforted confidently, grasping her sisters hand tighter, "And being Shobijin means we can never face anything alone."

"There will always be someone we can face a threat with."

"Brave and strong." she remarked kindly, holding Ling's hand higher, urging her to feel the same way. Gently she turned to the twins, causing Ling to do the same. And seeing the two young girls holding each other's hands tightly, and with that shine of warmth, youthful certainty and faith within their eyes, the sudden feeling came rushing to the young woman's heart, commanding her to follow along with her sisters.

"Brave and Strong." Ling replied softly, looking back to Ilene with a smile of her own accord.

Seeing the two elderly sister stare at them, the child twins looked back up confused and unsure. Until Ling and Ilene looked back at them, and gave a nod of assurance of what they must do now they had reached their place. Looking to the other, Moll and Lora gave it each other a determined nod of their own as they briskly walked forward in perfect unison. Staring at the waterfall, calmed and frighteningly serious, the two children began to raise an arm as they opened their mouth.

And, as if they were one voice, began to sing their calling.

With a million thoughts fluttering around her exhausted and soft mind, Mothra continued to stare wistfully at the King's sleeping form upon that night. Try as she might, even knowing how upset he would be when he found out she remained awake for so long, Mothra couldn't find any sort of solitude within her rest. She tried her best to find respite for the past coming days, but had a million of thoughts cloud her mind and shake her fleeting heart.

Despite all this, she was comforted. Upon that night, beside the King's rough scales and warm body, Mothra smiled and buried herself deeper into her comforting friend, blanketing her wings around her small frame as she moved her gaze from the King, to the ocean, then to the night sky, and then back and forth. This is what she wanted most, the tranquil feeling of peace and prosperity of the night-time. Within the blanketing darkness, not a care in the world seemed to come into fruition. It was still and silent, and all she could focus on- albeit, for the meantime- was the presence of her greatest friend… her greatest love… and the peace of the earth. Never did she plan on leaving it all.

Suddenly, Mothra's antennae abruptly perked up as the call to action and a certain sense of familiarity began to brew within her heart. Soon enough, her wings began to pulsate a pristine blue in a steady rhythm, darkening and illuminating the cave around her. Like before, she sensed something amidst in the world- something so close to her. But this time, it wasn't an evil force like Gigan she sensed, nor was it a fearful one like that of Battra. It was one of genuine kind-heartedness and very intimate. And though she wasn't expecting it, and her heart was mostly filled with confusion, Mothra couldn't help but feel glad she sensed their presence once again. In fact, she had hoped to come find them soon, anyway.

It must be them, Mothra thought to herself, standing fully onto her claws and slowly walked to the entrance of the cave as new thoughts and assumptions began to grow within her, But why have they come now? Do they too sense what is to come?

The call got stronger and, being their Goddess, Mothra began to waste no more time ignoring their calls for her. If they had come to her, that must mean something else was amiss within the world, most likely, the world of the humans. And when she made her connection with them, she swore she would protect humanity should anything cause them harm or threaten them.

Now fully feeling the coldness of the night's wind once stepping out of the cave, Mothra exhaled gently as she began to stretch out her wings. Gingerly, she turned back to the King, softening her eyes and her smile at his content, sleeping form, knowing she wouldn't need to tell him she had to leave for the moment, given how deep in his sleep the King was. Giving a light shrill to both comfort the King, and raise her own confidence, Mothra turned to the sky and took of to find her human counterparts.

Unaware Godzilla had watched her leave.

It didn't take long for Mothra to reached her destination, and was surprised to find the humans had chosen the place of the waterfall to meet with her. Seeing so clearly their amazed and relieved expressions, Mothra smiled to herself as she began to lower onto the grass, being careful not to blow the small humans back with the gust from her great wings. Eventually, she touched down on the grass, feeling the water droplets splash softly against her fur from the waterfall behind her. And with an elegant beauty, Mothra slowly and carefully lowered her body, coming close (but not too close) to the four sisters in front of her, shrilling quietly in a friendly manner as a means to greet them.

All exhaling wistfully, full of amazement and joy to see her again, Ilene was the first to walk up to the great Kaiju that stood breathtakingly and bright in front of her. With the upmost respect, Ilene brought her right hand over her heart; her left arm behind her back, and diligently bowed to the Goddess, a calm and happy heart within her, but a serious expression adorned on her face now that the time had come.

"My Queen." Ilene spoke softly, knowing Mothra hadn't any need to hear her delicate voice.

Mothra's wings once again glowed that alluring blue as he furred antennae twitched back at the mythologist, the blue light from the Kaiju reflecting of the young woman's dark eyes. But soon enough, Lora and Moll began to join with Ilene, gingerly stepping closer to the Goddess, holding each other's hand. And after turning back to see Ling softly gesturing to them that they were fine, the young girls stood beside Ilene, now so close to Mothra.

Almost instantaneously did Mothra notice the pair of children come close to her. And even quicker than that, did Mothra's eyes begin to sparkle with joy and happiness. Seeing the blue glow emitting from her softly intensify to a warming shine, the twins smile began to grow as Ilene watched contently by the side.

Little one's, Mothra happily thought to herself, already coming closer to the young girls by carefully leaning forward.

With a collective and surprised gasp, Lora and Moll stopped just short of Mothra's furred face, looking excitedly deep into her wide, sapphire eyes. When it came to expression, the creature's of Titan's never really could be read. After all, they were- to a certain extent- wild animals (at least to humans). So to receive a visible smile from the great Mothra, as well as a jubilant squeak of joy upon being softly touched by each of the young girls' hands- such a caring and loving expression that now moved past the world of humans and into the Titan's- it was the greatest honour a human could ever receive from her. Even so, the young girls nor the doctors could care much for honour or privilege. All everyone really cared about, was the happiness and familial bond present between child and Goddess.

"See girls. I told you she would love to see you again." Ilene whispered to them, softly chuckling at both the young twins that gently caressed the fur atop Mothra's head, and the enthusiastic Goddess who didn't mind such a playful act.

"My Queen. Are you feeling well?" the twins softly said in sync, both sensing the surprise Mothra emitted from being questioned.

"We sensed you were unhappy." Lora quite shyly spoke up, clasping her timid hands together and towards her chest.

"So we hope you are happy now." Moll continued for her, a tad bit braver and stronger than her twin, pulling away and doing the same as her sister.

After the initial shock had died down, Mothra, too, pulled away and softly chittered back in response. Please my Little One's, there is no need to worry, Mothra declared within her mind, truly much calmer than before now she could see her Shobijin again, and the blue glow of her wings once again pulsating through the darkness, I am doing well.

Instantly, like before, the little twins' face lit up when sensing the surety of the goodness of Mothra's well being and beamed back at her brightly. "That's good, my Queen!" Lora exclaimed, now full of confidence.

"That's very, very good!" Moll added on, also quite ecstatic and cheerful.

After what seemed like an audible chuckle from Mothra, Ilene slowly pulled the child twins away whilst Ling came closer to the Goddess, as well. Though they both gave the young girls a small smile of reassurance, it was clear to Lora and Moll that now was the time to be serious. They hadn't come here for fun or 'catching up.' Oh, how they all wished that was the case. But now it was the time for the adults to discussed things, and the seriousness within Ling and Ilene's eyes both caught the attention of Mothra, and worried her heart too.

"My Queen, we come for two reasons." Ilene slowly began, taking in all she had learnt this past year and finally collecting all the pieces she had discovered through a meticulous amount of research and suspicions together, "And I am sure you already know what one of them is."

"W-We sense the reawakening of Battra." Ling exclaimed, stumbling through her words, still in disbelief of what she was saying, "And we know what it means for the earth- and especially humanity- when He lives once again."

"We know how it is made even more severe if he awakens during a time you are alive." Ilene breathed out, now looking up towards the Goddess and tightly clenching her hands, "So please… so that humanity can better prepare for this incoming threat…"

"Is Battra's awakening inevitable?"

There was silence for a while after that. The only expression now being the apprehensive and saddened look from the children as they watched on. So too did Mothra remain silent with the two doctors, looking towards the ground and digging her own claws reflexively into the dirt. And after a while of keen thought and a sharp breathe, Mothra's wings pulsated that blue once again, causing Ling and Ilene to slightly recoil back in shock and tense their entire body- their breathing becoming more unsteady with the Goddess'.

"I suppose that answers that." Ling whispered whilst clutching her forearm, turning to Ilene who still kept her head down, "We were optimistic, but it seems fate has already been planned out."

"My Queen, do you have any suggestion on why Battra is awakening- and why it is so sudden, in a time of peace?" Ilene implored hurriedly, looking back up to Mothra. It was all so frustrating to her. Once one mystery ends, another one begins.

Mothra's blue eyes glistened as she returned to gaze back down to the sisters. Softly, as well as low-spiritedly, Mothra shrilled once again as her wings pulsated and glowed- now slightly dimmer than before. Thereafter, Ilene got her answer, and turned away from the Goddess and back to her sister, who could only give a remorseful look back to her, unsure of what else to say. Unable to answer her sister's concerned look, Ling turned back towards Mothra with Ilene doing the same. Soon, both gave a remorseful and heartfelt gaze as they realised Mothra's body had began to slump ever so slightly, as did her antennae on her head as her wings started to blanket around herself more.

"I truly pity Mosura, sister." Ling said with a sorrowful sigh, breaking the tense and torturing silence, "Even she has no real idea why. And it breaks her heart."

"I can't help be saddened as well, sister." Ilene replied as her breathe became cold and slower.

Sensing the despairing atmosphere coming to fruition around them, the child twins once more lightly stepped towards the Goddess, offering up to her shining eyes and concerned frowns as they reached their small hands towards her. "We're really sorry you are feeling sad, my Queen." the twins said truthful, together. Further saddened by the distraught she was putting onto her Little One's, Mothra's blue spirited up right away as she gave back to the child twins a sad yet comforting smile, and a light trill of confidence that snapped the two doctors out of their sorrowful state and return to the present.

Taking in a large amount of air, and exhaling it slowly and wistfully, a new-found determination and strength brew within Ilene as she clasped her hands together and bowed back down to her Queen, her sister doing the same, both in action and resolve. "My Queen, we express our most humble gratitude." Ilene declared smoothly, already planning out preparations for the future.

"Now that our suspicions have been confirmed, humanity can now better prepare for the upcoming chaos that will arrive soon." Ling continued, assured they can all survive and overcome what fate had in-store for them.

"My Queen. We thank you for your warnings," Ilene announced. But she began to bite her bottom lip, knowing the troubles they had discussed were far from the full truth, "But, unfortunately, we have our own, as well."

Mothra's eyes widened in shock as her fur ruffled with anxiousness. If she had any doubts her recent suspicions would mean the world's changing would impact everyone severely, then they were all gone in a second the moment she contemplated what her Shobijin had just said. They came to warn her? Just what evil was brewing up within humanity? No. This was no time to get lost in thought. Softly shaking her head, Mothra returned to intently listen to her Shobijin's words, narrowing her eyes in great thought and in earnest.

"It's utterly disgraceful," Ling chastised, shamefully shaking her head in dismay through clenched teeth, "But certain parts of humanity are starting to threaten the natural order and use the power of the Titans for their own gain, once again."

"We apologise on behalf of all of humanity, my Queen." Ilene continued for her, also in distraught for what indignity humanity was bringing about to the peace of the earth, "But upon our investigations, we have found that the wreckage formed from The Golden One's attack has been salvaged and used in the wrong hands."

"A large group of humans- known to us as Apex- is rising to power and becoming more of an influence over the human populous." Ling declared, making her voice louder and stronger, a true disgusted look adorned onto her face, "And they have made it clear they despise Titan's and want to rid the world of them."

"Currently we and Monarch are fighting our own battles against them. But we have reason to believe, before even Battra has risen, a great battle between the King of the Monsters and Apex would take place." Ilene exclaimed, unable to hide the slight fear in her voice despite trying her best to remain strong.

"A battle, my Queen, that would surely evolve to a greater danger once Battra awakens."

For a while, despite having answers and surety for most of her life; despite her vast wisdom and percipience, Mothra just didn't know what to think of this news, and so remained still and silent. The knowledge that humanity, something she had always loved and protected- promised to love and protect for as long as she lived- would form a group with such a distaste and hatred for her kind… all the heart-broken Goddess could do was steady her erratic, ominously fearful, breathing as she was left within the silent darkness of the night.

Evil truly waded its way through anything- seemingly especially within things Mothra loved greatly. And yet, somehow, whilst tightening her honed claws and grasping at the grass beneath her, Mothra was still steadfast in her resolve. Of course, fear, distress and an agonizing amount of sadness still plagued her caring heart. But, amongst it all, they seemed to gradually disappear throughout her mind. For others, it would be too much; it would overwhelm them- it would leave them hopeless and afraid. But, there was always something different about Mothra anyway- heaven itself knew that. Steadfast, that's what she was. And as her resolve shone brightly, so did the resolve of the Shobijin that stood tall and proud once sensing her fleeting worry and growing determination.

To protect everyone, she must become stronger.

She proved her resilience and unbreakable will whole-heartedly during her bout with Gigan. Though she hadn't expected the evil to be forming within humanity, she knew the great dangers that would come surrounding these changing times. So many times she promised she would never waver in the face of such a danger, for the sake of the earth, the people and the peace. She had been disheartened, yes, even put in a state of misery and despair. But knowing what- who- she was fighting for, the Goddess Mosura's will became immeasurable upon that night.

"We know your judgement is more important that ours." Ling whispered, knowing Mothra knew what she would ask of her, but unsure if she would leave it all behind to grant it, "But given you were reborn so quickly, we advise that you must leave your life upon the earth regain your original power before this great chaos ensues."

Walking closer to her sister, along with the two child twins, Ilene placed her hand on Ling's shoulder, simply ready for anything they would have to face together, "And when you return, stronger, I promise, humanity will fight with you, stronger than before."

Together, watching on proudly as her magnificent wings shimmered, Mothra watched as the four sisters clasped their hands together, intertwining their fingers with the other, all sparkling with the same resolve as she was feeling. From the two adult twins that stood ready and determined, to the small child twins who- despite all that had been said- glowed with a youthful optimism, something Mothra couldn't help but acknowledge and cherish in.

They were all working so hard to prepare. Now, it was time for her to prepare, as well.

"We promise." all four sisters said, softly yet powerful, "On our word as Shobijin."

As the bright sun rays began to light the Goddess resting upon the beach, her Shobijin's words continued to echo and comfort Mothra's mind within that peaceful morning. It was as if nothing changed: The sun still began to rise, the creatures upon the island and across the earth were still waking, the King was still deep within his dreams, and Mothra still sat upon the warm sand of the beach, taking it all in. Yes, truly not just a sight, but a comforting feeling she will never get tired of. It was like time had stood still for her, really, with how slowly the sun rose to incorporate a new day, dragging out the peaceful and idyllic scenery it was creating. Or perhaps that was Mothra, really. For with how intently she gazed upon the horizon, with the warm orange colour of the sun and dark colour of the shining waves reflecting and shining within her blue eyes, it seemed the Goddess was trapped within its enchanting, picturesque display. Sighing softly, barely blinking but content being trapped within the experience of that alluring morning, Mothra shrank closer to the warm sand, fluttering slightly her wings when gentle breeze's of the wind blew against them. Silently, she took it all in.

Knowing this morning would be her last, for a long time.

But like always, unsurprised and familiar to the act, Mothra's quiet and unmoving trance was broken when a strangely collected and gentle figure carefully and respectfully waded its way closer to her, surprisingly quiet as well. The only noise it was allowing to make itself were the gentle breathes it took in, and the light crunching of sand beneath it's feet. Smiling, with glistening, tearful eyes, Mothra needn't turn around.

"Heya, Mosu." that familiar gruff yet caring voice called out to her, further soothing her relaxed state as the figure continued closer to her.

"Gojira." Mothra whispered, her voice still like a gentle, precious song to the King.

With a steady and slow breathe, Godzilla stopped right beside of Mothra, just where the sand met with the sea that flowed gracefully. Much like the Goddess beside him, the King indulged himself with the view upon the horizon, not wanting to break or disturb this precious moment for her, remaining respectfully in silence, until he couldn't keep it any longer, and began to converse with his age-old friend once again.

"The sunrise is still so beautiful, don't you think?" Godzilla spoke softly, a guttural growl contently and gently escaping his throat, signifying his pleasure and enjoyment.

"Of course, it seems that I can never get enough of it." Mothra whispered back, unmoving in her gaze, still remaining trapped within the sight.

Unable to help himself, Godzilla let out a small chuckle in response, getting a confused squeak to come out of Mothra. "When it comes to the earth Mosu, you can never really get enough of it, anyway." Godzilla smiled, keeping his head still as he moved his golden eyes to watch Mothra's blue glow gradually turn pink at his words.

Putting one claw towards her beak and one to clutch her chest, Mothra stifled a laugh as she removed her gaze from the horizon and down towards the beach. "That may be true, but that doesn't mean my enjoyment of the wondrous sights it has to offer will ever waver." she replied truthfully, adorning a bigger smile on her face.

Once again, silence spread across the island and between the two Titans, as they contemplated what else to say- or not say, at all. With half-closed eyes, both soon returned to the sunrise, simply relishing in each other's presence as the sun gradually climbed higher and brightened up more of the ocean. But neither King nor Goddess couldn't shake the feeling that more should be said- and that the other knew there was more to be discussed. But, with an unspoken agreement, both decided- at least for the moment- to lay off their problems for just a while longer. However, within the tranquillity of it all, Mothra opened her mouth to speak, still unsure of what to say. Until Godzilla beat her to it.

"Even if you have to go, it'll always be here."

With a small gasp, Mothra turned her head towards the King, curious with what he had to say, but embracing every word his sure voice spoke. "The peace and beauty of this will forever be here for you." the King said confidently, turning and smiling towards the Goddess, meeting her eyes that glowed brightly, "I'll make sure of it."

Mothra, unable to help herself, raised her body to become closer to the King, with Godzilla lowering his whole body to meet with her. So close the two were, their hearts seemingly beating as quick as the other. But from embarrassment, worry or happiness? Honestly, neither one could answer that, nor did they care much for it.

"Gojira…" Mothra whispered elegantly, clasping her two frontal claws together, her light shining that bit more brightly as she came closer to the King's face.

"Hm?" Godzilla breathed out, still smiling and ready to listen to anything she had to say.

Quietly, Mothra took in a deep breathe, knowing her next words couldn't hold a candle to what she truly felt within recent times. "These past few months I have shared with you." she began with a smile radiantly beaming through her words, "The moments I've spent by your side, enjoying my new life, I-I have to admit…"

Happily, she closed her eyes and tilted her head to the side, small droplets of tears escaping as her joyous smile caused the King himself to glow a slight pink with her in surprise, "They have been some of the best moments I have ever experienced in my long life." Mothra admitted heartedly as her own luminosity began to sparkle in a way Godzilla had rarely seen before, "And the happiest I have ever felt in a long time."

Stunned, the King remained silent, trying his best to calm his beating heart that quickened at her charming words as Mothra began to wipe away the tears in her eyes. "Seeing everyone again: you, Rodan, my fellow kin and my caring Shobijin. Despite what had happened in recent times, as well as what is yet to come, I can't help but smile at it all." Mothra continued, speaking words that formed deep within her heart, "Smile at the opportunity the world had granted us."

"To actually live life once again like when the war had ended. To live with you, Gojira. It's something so simple, and yet so dear to my heart."

"Which is why…" Mothra softly murmured, already beginning to cry again as she struggled to bring about her words, "I am so, so pained to-"

"Don't." Godzilla gently interrupted, quickly bringing his face closer to hers and placing his rough claws against the silky sides of her face, "There's no need for you to tell me. I already know."

"I had guessed you would have to leave to regain much of your power." Godzilla spoke quietly, gently placing his forehead atop hers for what seemed like the last time he'd be able to do so for a while, "So, if it must be done, then I wouldn't hold you back."

"Unfortunately it would mean that, when you will see me again, we would have to fight the chaos that is brewing amongst the world." Mothra softly responded, pressing and caressing her fur deeper into his scales, never wanting this moment to end, "Are reunion… wouldn't be as joyous as last time."

"Maybe so." the King breathed out closing his eyes, only focusing on her, "But, as long as you continue to fight with me, then we could make it a joyous one once all the fighting has come to an end."

"As I have said, the peace and beauty of the earth will forever stay here, for you." Godzilla declared, whispering in such a deep and strong voice that made the truth behind his words as strong as Mothra's, "And so will I. I will make sure of it."

"Oh Gojira…" Mothra trembled, bringing her claws towards her beak, unable to keep her composure any longer.

In an instant, the King and the Goddess embraced each other; Godzilla carefully winding his claws around Mothra's fur whilst Mothra draped and tightened her wings across Godzilla's scales. A rush of emotion flourished within both of them, the sadness of saying goodbye to each other, and yet the joy they felt for spending the passing days within the others care, peacefully and at ease. And as the two caressed each other, as their heads brushed and nuzzled against one another, as their smiles and gentle laughs resonated tenderly between them, that blue glow- comforting, powerful and embracing- combined together like it had done before many nights ago, intensifying both its own brightness and the exuberance between the Titan's that clutched each other tightly against themselves.

"No more tears now. This goodbye isn't like the others." Godzilla kindly remarked, slowly taking his head away from her to better look at the jubilant Goddess, brushing her tears away with his claw reassuringly as Mothra laughed gingerly, doing her best to uphold the King's command.

"I now truly understand why I was reborn so soon." Mothra softly revealed, clasping her forelimbs by the side of the King's face.

"Care to tell me?" Godzilla chuckled, caressing the fur by the side of her body, already intrigued as he smiled back at her.

With a loving beam across her face, and her heart pounding excitedly and proudly, Mothra- loving the way he joyously looked and held her- reminded herself just why she had fallen in love with him in the first place. "It's so that I could spend these moments of peace with you before we have to go our separate ways." Mothra declared ecstatically, hugging the King's broad neck firmly within her hold, Godzilla taking in her gesture and revelation whole-heartedly, "Moments I will deeply cherish for the rest of my life."

"As will I, Mosu." the King whispered, again placing his head back onto Mothra's, "As will I."

They stayed that way for a while, but knowing she couldn't be held back much longer, their grips began to loosen as both friends slightly pulled away. However, Godzilla still kept Mothra close to his chest and within his arms, seemingly unable to let her go as a thought briefly entered his mind.

"Would you want to take your gift with you?" Godzilla asked, gesturing towards the cave.

Gift? Mothra thought to herself, tilting her head, unclear of what he meant. But after her initial confusion died down, she followed the King's gaze back to the cave, where she began to notice the pink leaves of the Sakura tree she was given by the King all those months ago shining pleasantly from the sun-rays that it basked in. Laughing softly, her smile grew as she reminisced on their journey across the earth that day.

"No, please, keep it for me." Mothra insisted, turning back to the King with assurance, "Until I come back, keep it as a reminder that I am never far from you."

Laughing softly with her, Godzilla bowed his head slightly in gratitude as his heart began to relax. "Given how long we have spent together, I wouldn't need to remind myself about something like that." he joked, getting a pleasant shrill of delight from the Goddess he held in his arms.

"You show great resolve and bravery, my partner. Continue to shine with this resolve and bravery until we meet again." Mothra implored, now bringing her claw to rest atop the King's chest and over his hardened yet soft heart, "Stay true to your heart- your heart that is King, Guardian and Friend."

Softly exhaling, the pink glow upon Godzilla's dorsal plates began to shimmer a tad bit brighter upon hearing her compliments. But, to Mothra's surprise, the smile he wore diminished slightly, as he moved his head away, prompting Mothra to stroke his face more tenderly, urging him to tell her what was on his mind.

"…There is one thing, I can't help be afraid of, though." Godzilla whispered slowly, softly chuckling through a saddened smile gingerly. Upset, Mothra gestured for him to continue, wanting to help him any way, all with a gentle smile on her face

"Losing myself… to the loneliness." the King admitted, clutching her endearing body tighter as Mothra's eyes widened in amazement his confession.

But as quick as the surprise hit her, so to did the idea come to Mothra on the best way she could comfort his lonely heart whilst she was away. Her excited blue glow melded to a calm and warm shine, as she briefly returned to the crook of the King's neck, nuzzling it softly- to which the King gave a quick nuzzle back- before pulling away and staring back into his golden eyes, her own shimmering gaze clearly showing to the King with excitement and hopefulness.

"Would it calm your heart if you were accompanied by me in your dreams?" Mothra asked gently, soothing Godzilla's soul, but widening his eyes in response.

"…Mosu." Godzilla tacitly said, already knowing what she was referring to- and already unsure of her proposal.

"…I-I know how you feel about connecting our minds and hearts together." Mothra began a bit more timidly than before, rubbing her middle arms together in a sheepish manner, but her heart strong with her desire and truth as she brushed his face, "But Gojira, you know I never tell lies to others or myself."

"It's what makes you, you, Mosu." the King tenderly replied, leaning his head to the side to relish further within her caresses.

"So I swear to you, on my honour as a Goddess, the darkness and violence you believe to feel within your heart, is not what I feel in the slightest." Mothra, without a lie within her voice, proclaimed to the King powerfully and as precious as she always was, to him.

"I feel comfort and greatness," the Goddess continued, now returning to rest her head against the King's chest, deepening her own body against him, receiving an audible purr of satisfaction as her wings blanketed further around the King, "Like the vast ocean stilled within the earth, it is gentle and flows smoothly. But most of all, it's so warm."

"With our connection, I would be able to feel whatever you feel, walk wherever you would walk and dream whatever you dream."

"At least, within my slumber," Mothra silently squeaked, her consoling tone only audible to Godzilla so close to her, "My presence will hold your claw for as long as it needs to."

And, for seemingly the first time within his life- with his partner, guardian, friend… soulmate so close to him, Godzilla could feel her alluring, sweet-tempered heartbeat beating in time with his own. It was so peaceful; so perfect for the King, he truly didn't want to let go. And from the moment she became his guardian- and him, hers-he swore he would never let go of the unity they shared between her. Now, he truly had a way to forever hold her, for her to stay comfortingly by his side, and for him to do the same.

"You won't get tired out, will you?" Godzilla playful (but still with a bit of concern) announced, looking down towards the restful Goddess against him.

"Not whilst I'm within my rest." Mothra answered, looking up towards the King, the excitement of already knowing his answer beaming though her eyes.

"Then I want nothing more." Godzilla spoke with fervour, the gold within his eyes slightly blazing with that warm and earnest blue. It seemed he too, despite his past opinions and self-doubt, was excited for it.

With an ecstatic shrill, Mothra rushed up and laid to rest her head against the side of the King's neck, giving him one final embrace before she surely had to leave him. "Thank you, my dear Goji." she whispered against his ear, beginning to cry tears of happiness, seemingly infinite in the amount of times she tightened her embrace against his neck.

"Thank you Mosu," Godzilla reiterated, whispering back as he looked across her, memorising ever pattern upon her wings for when she would be far from him, "For seeing the light within me where most others could not."

No Gojira… Mothra thought to herself, already beginning to draw that age-old, powerful energy from deep within her soul, that light has always been within you. And someday, I promise, everyone will see that light within you, as much as I have.

Then it came forth, beautiful, elegant and with a sense of homely familiarity. The blue and mystical spiral of energy brought forth from the powerful light emitting from her wings that still continued to blanket the King. Like he had seen so many times in his life, Godzilla wistfully watched the endearing blue light of sparkling energy dance around the two, reflecting the warm sunlight and immersing him and Mothra within its dance. So delighted and in awe of the display of other-wordly yet nostalgic energy, the King couldn't help but slightly pull away, look deep within the bright eyes of his partner, and smile a strange look of excitement and amazement, to which Mothra responded with a happy and proud smile of her own. On and on the blue continued to dance, and like before when connecting the wound on her wings, the blue aura connected and joined their minds and hearts together, deepening once again the bond and trust the two shared between each other.

"Gojira… I-I wish to tell you something…" Mothra whispered quite urgently before she could get lost within the sea of emotion that their connection would bring forth, knowing their was a possibility she wouldn't be able to hide it from him if they were joined together like this.

"Anything, Mosura." Godzilla absently breathed out, already starting to get lost within the dance of the blue aura.

"Gojira…" Mothra began timidly, struggling to get the words out from her heart, "I… I…"

"…I-I hope you will not miss me too much whilst I'm gone." she purred out quietly, giving the tiniest of smiles as she returned to those golden eyes of his.

"I-I'd always miss you, whenever you would be gone from me." the King admitted, yet not embarrassed for it was the truth, "But I'll wait, just like I always have, and try my best."

Mothra took in a shaky breathe, swallowing her shame, unbeknownst to the King. But soon she returned her sight to him, smiling a smile the King had never seen her wear, "…That's all I wanted to hear." she spoke smoothly, clutching Godzilla's scales firmly against her claws.

And with her closing words, the rush of emotion and memories long within the distant past flourished forth between them, dancing along with the blue aura. It started of with Mothra's, the memory of her life of long hardships and guardianships, all filled with her unwavering ideals of true kindness and love for the lives of the earth, and the earth itself. The light of her soul- his Mosura's soul- was so kind and heart-warming, it had strangely brought a single tear towards the King's eyes, Godzilla silently thanking the heavens for bringing him together with Mothra, forever. Seeing his smile and wondrous expression, Mothra held against her partner tighter, pressing her head against his for the final time, only intensifying their connection and hold against one another. And when it came time for Godzilla's memories and emotions, he couldn't help but brace his body and close his eyes. Sensing his distraught, Mothra gave a quiet and comforting shrill as the spiritual blue energy continued to flow gracefully.

He was ready to accept the dormant darkness that laid in his heart; the innate wrath of the monster he was.

But Godzilla's eyes shined that bright gold when he opened them, opening them to see Mothra's alluring and perfect smile as the memory of the times they spent together- the times they laughed, cried, feared and remained peaceful and happy with each other began to recollect within their mind. Their was pain; their was doubt, but with the memory that all this pain and doubt had been calmed and embraced by the moments they shared with each other, the innate emotion and connection that danced along with the energy…

Was exactly how Mothra described it to be.

"See…" she whispered through soft, relaxed eyes that looked towards the King longingly, "… warm."

And as she looked on longingly, so did the King. With half-closed eyes, and a yearning expression that pined for the other, the dance of blue became nothing but an accompaniment as the King and the Goddess focused all their sights on the one in front of them. Slowly, with heavy breathes, they edged closer to one another as if they were encompassed in a dance of their own. The King's claws pushed her forward, tightening his clasp on her and commanding his partner to become closer than she already was to him. The Goddess's glow, from deep within her eyes, across and embedded within the fur in her body, to her majestic wings, glowed a faint and shimmering colour of a strange white light that complimented well with her strong blue. And to Godzilla, within that encompassing moment, all he could desire was the endearing Mothra who was so close to his own face.

"…Mosu…"

And together, as the blue aura's climaxed through a glimmering light of awesome proportion, as the mystical energy began to cease the dance, and as they instintively closed their eyes and pulled his snout and her beak closer together, the two had joined deeper with one another.

Leaning the closest they could be with each other, closing the gap between them to the fullest, the two Titans formed a breathe-taking kiss.

Full of an emotion that laid dormant for millions of years, now flourishing amongst the great creatures that joined together, Godzilla and Mothra's kiss could only remain deep and pure for as long as their heart desired. But as the last of the blue energy disappeared into the morning sunlight, slowly and still absent-mindedly, they pull away from the other, their eyes still half closed and their hold on each other still tight and strong as they took a moment to catch their breathe.

"Come back to me." Godzilla commanded softly, endearingly brushing his claw against the fur upon Mothra's face, still keeping her beak close to his snout.

"Always." Mothra promised, keeping her loving gaze keenly towards the King, feeling every warm breathe he took near her beak, as well as still relishing in the warmness her energy brought about.

Steadily, bit by bit, they let go of each other and stepped slightly back, apparently already forgetting the act they had unmistakably committed. With one more heartfelt, compassionate and uplifting smile Godzilla and Mothra gave to each other, the two knew they hadn't any need to say any more words. With their connection securely strengthened and deepened within their mind, heart and soul, they sensed the other's happiness as well as their sombre yet hopeful farewell's to the other. Faintly, Godzilla smoothly and contently growled towards the contented Mothra, making sure his voice resonated deep within her heart so she could always hear him within her rest far away from him. In response, Mothra softly began to sing the sombre, uplifting, quiet and powerful melody Godzilla had long ago grown accustomed to, hoping its melody, too, resonated deep within the King's heart, so he could forever listen to it within his dreams.

But it was time for Mothra to leave, as much as she desperately wanted to, she could delay it no longer. Reluctantly, she turned to face the open ocean and began to spread her wings. When she would return to the world- return to him- she would come back stronger than before, ready to face Battra and aid the King through any struggles he would face. And as for Godzilla, he would do what he would always do at a time like this. Wait for her to come back to him. And to grow ever stronger for her sake, as well, never once not wanting anything like Gigan's nor The Golden One's attack to ever happen to her again. It was time he paid her back for all the pain and death she had suffered through. And when they would reunite once again- for her, his and the world's sake- together, they will bring about more moments of peace they could spend with one another once all the fighting was over.

But now, they had to say their goodbyes. For now, at least. And as Mothra turned her head to look back to the King, their hearts intertwined with one another through their connection with smiling and proud looks between the two.

With a great flap of her wings, and a heavy sigh of reassurance, Mothra took off to the sky, ready to go to a sacred resting place far away from her King. And as Godzilla watched on with a prosperous and faithful heart, Mothra took in the sight of the earth one more time. Yes, she trusted within the King's judgement. She had faith that the peace she loved will forever be waiting for her return. She had faith that they would both overcome the darkness arising, and bring about a new era of prosperity. And she had faith, upon gazing towards the King that morning, she would come back to him, ready to express how much she truly loved him.

Accompanied by the smiles captivating the hearts of the two Titans, she turned away, basking within the sunlight's warmth as she flew off, already disappearing towards the sunset, sounding a powerful call that echoed across the earth, signifying her promise she made. And the King still watched on, with no regret nor sorrow in his heart.

With the King watching on contently as she disappeared, a soft purr escaping his throat, with beating wings that happily soared through the air, comforted by his presence, Mothra hadn't any need to look back.

To be continued…

And that's Moments of Peace finished.

Something interesting of note, in this version of Mothra's 'psychic' powers, it doesn't actually allow her to speak directly to the humans nor communicate with others through their mind. I wanted to do something different, so instead, rather than communicating through words within the mind, her power allows her and the one's she connected to to feel and sense the innate emotion between them. Kinda like you don't need to ask someone how their feeling, cause you already know what they're feeling. Kinda gives more depth, like 'emotions are deeper than words', or something.

And I can confirm, the spin-off chapter I was talking about will be about the life of Anguirus and his relationship with the others. With what I have planned, I think you'll enjoy it.

As for the main series, I'm kinda close to finishing planning it. Like a lot of people with experience with writing, I've got the beginning and end all sorted- just need to work on the middle. And, sorry to say, but I won't be able to provide a release date, if you were wondering. I honestly just don't know when it'll or I will be ready. But if I am sure, I'll probably give it out as an edit to the notes section of the first chapter of this book.

And… that's all. One more epilogue chapter, and once that's done, I hope you'll stay to have a read on the other stuff I've got.

Again, thanks if you have read this far, and I hope you have a pleasant day!
