The second that Luka joined Chloé onstage and wrapped his arm around her waist, the crowd went wild. Especially since half of them knew who he was. Lila's face was one of pure shock. She was too stunned to move, too stunned to cry, too stunned to do anything. She was just stuck there being forced to live through Chloé being shamelessly petty.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is my husband, Luka Couffaine. Yes husband. We got married about two months ago and haven't told anyone but my father and a few teachers. Oh, and just in case you don't believe us," Chloé watched as Butler Jean handed a stack of papers to Luka, "here are some copies of our marriage certificate." Luka tossed the papers into the air, all of the sheets flying to different corners of the room. She watched as everyone tried to reach into the air to grab one. No reporters were ever allowed inside the party venue but she knew that all of Paris would know soon thanks to Alya. "There is no scandal," Chloé clarified. "There is no blackmail or secret pregnancy. We are married because we love each other and nothing more." Chloé watched Lila run and gave Butler Jean a thumbs up to stop recording.

"Thank you all so much again for coming! Now let's party!"

Chloé tossed her microphone to Butler Jean before Luka took her in his arms, dipped her as low as he reasonably could and kissed her as hard as was logical. It felt good to commit public displays of affection and not have to worry about being recognized or hidden. As soon as they pulled apart, the lights came back up, the spotlight disappeared and the music started again.

"They're all still looking at us," Luka whispered to his wife. He pulled her up to let her stand on her feet.

"Let them look. It's better than the five hundred questions we'll have to answer." Chloé took his hand in hers and led him down the steps.

"You take the celebrities, I'll take the classmates," Luka suggested

"Meet back here in thirty minutes."

"And break!"

Chloé decided there was no one person she should try to find first. She arguably had the better deal between her and Luka because at least upper class people knew when to keep their mouths shut. She berated herself in her head. Positive thoughts Chloé.

"Mlle. Bourgeois!" Chloé turned to see Jagged Stone walking up to her. Luckily there was no crocodile in tow.

"Mme. Bourgeois-Couffaine technically," Chloé corrected. She held out a hand and Jagged took it to shake it. "Or just Mme. Couffaine. It's easier and I respond to both."

"My apologies. Mme. I just wanted to congratulate you on the birthday and on the marriage."

"Thank you so much M. Stone. It means a lot."

Chloé let go of his hand in favor of fidgeting with her ring while they spoke.

"Luka is a very lucky man."

"I'm a very lucky girl," Chloé added. "We've only been married for two months but I already feel like it's been longer."

"Love can do that. M. Couffaine is in good hands with you. Have a good evening Mme. Couffaine."

And with that he walked away. That was probably the most sincere conversation she ever had with Jagged Stone and most of it was about Luka. Not to mention that Jagged Stone never went out of his way to talk to Chloé Bourgeois but here he was having a civil conversation with Chloé Bourgeois-Couffaine. That certainly was suspicious. Chloé snapped her fingers and Butler Jean was at her side in moments.

"Yes, Mme. Couffaine?"

"Get me a background check on Jagged Stone."

"Yes, Mme. Couffaine."

"You've gotten good at giving orders. You probably get that from me." Chloé turned sharply to see her mother standing behind her. She wasn't in black tie dress like everyone else. But then again, her mother's normal look was supposedly fabulous enough.

"Mom. What are you doing here? You never come to these." That was true. Her mom didn't consider them spectacular enough for her.

"Well, your father told me that there would be a big announcement that I definitely should be here for and he was right. I did not expect you to be married, Cluey, and so young."

"It's Chloé but I think that's the closest you've ever gotten. So do you have anything to say about my marriage? Do you disapprove or..."

"Well you're certainly younger than every other Bourgeois when they got married. I suppose that puts you first place in something. But this will be good publicity for the Bourgeois family."

Chloé frowned and fought the urge to roll her eyes. She was feeling super petty and super done with everyone's bullshit that night.

"Actually, I'm a Couffaine."

And with that, Chloé just turned and walked away from her mother, not even bothering to give any sort of excuse.

As soon as Luka and Chloé separated he knew he had to find his sister. Everyone else could wait, Juleka came first. He retraced his steps, trying to remember where she and Rose were when Chloé called them out. He wasn't looking for them very long when he found them.

"Jules!"

Her eyes snapped onto him and he stopped when he saw the many emotions there. Confusion, anger, shock. She reached forward and snatched his hand to drag him away from the crowd. She pulled him until they reached the doors, stepping out of them and into the main hall.

"Luka how could you?! How could you marry Chloé Bourgeois and not tell me?!"

Luka decided now was not a good time to correct Juleka on his wife's name

"Chloé was the one that wanted to keep it a secret because she didn't want something like this to happen. She knew how you would feel."

"Well then she shouldn't have married you then." Juleka crossed her arms angrily and Luka simply sighed.

"I signed the paper too, Jules. She didn't force me to do anything. Let me ask you something, when was the last time she picked on you?"

Juleka had to really think about that. It had been quite a while, the blonde had gone pretty much silent whenever they saw each other. There was one time recently that Juleka had changed her hairstyle and Chloé went out of her way to compliment it. Looking back, Juleka had been confused. She wondered whether or not she was being sarcastic or mean but it had been obvious to everyone else she wasn't.

"It's been awhile," Juleka admitted.

"She's trying to change. I've been hanging out with her for two months now. In that time she's never insulted me, picked on me, or lied to me." That one hit Juleka right in the gut. She remembered how Luka felt when Marinette had been keeping something from him. "She was the one I was with at the party. That's Chloé. She's fun and smart and sweet and she might be one of the best things to ever happen to me."

Juleka clicked her tongue in thought. Finally she sighed and put her hands on her hips. Luka had convinced her. "Fine. I guess I'll be slightly less pissed about the whole situation. But you better tell mom before she finds out about it on the news."

"I will, I promise." They did an obligatory sibling hug and then began making their way inside. "So are you going to help me convince the rest of your class that I'm not completely crazy?"

Juleka eyed the group of teenagers that were waiting for them. "I think I'll let you handle it."

"Figures." The siblings walked up to the group, Juleka joining her girlfriend and Luka staying silent, ready for the onslaught.

"So have you been diagnosed with crazy? Cause you would have to be pretty crazy to marry Chloé freaking Bourgeois," Alix said first.

"Um, it's Chloé freaking Bourgeois-Couffaine actually." Alix face palmed and gestured for literally anyone else in the group to say something.

"So how in the world did this actually happen," Max asked.

"Well, when Chloé and I met about two months ago, were both having a really shit day and Chloé just suggested that we get married for the hell of it. There was no reason not to so we did. And then we actually started, you know, being a couple about two weeks ago."

"So that was you and Chloé at the party?" Luka was actually pretty surprised Kim remembered that part since he had been drunk enough to run with a balloon full of booze just cause someone told him to.

"Yup. I don't know what you guys heard, but it definitely was not Lila Rossi."

"Yeah, we figured as much," Mylene admitted. "After what you and Chloé just pulled, it was very obvious."

"Wait, so were you guys together when Marinette and I ran into you guys at the orchestra," Adrien asked.

"Yes. We were having a moment when you two showed up and we had to come up with something quick."

He could see the looks on all their faces as everything suddenly clicked. The rings, the disappearances, the rumors, Luka literally coming into Chloé's class to save her. Everything suddenly melded together perfectly and at the center of it all was two teenagers being stupid and then falling in love.

"So you and Chloé actually love each other? For real?" Luka should have figured that would be Sabrina's only question. She really was just watching out for her best friend.

"Yes. Yes completely. You guys aren't mad? Or do I need to do some begging?"

"Well, it'll take some getting used to but I'm sure we'll be fine." Everyone murmured their agreements with Nino's statement.

"We're really just happy for you."

The music and lights changed, this time a slow song started playing. Luka recognized it instantly, he had written it after all. "If you guys will excuse me, I have to find my wife."

He went straight for the center of the ballroom, knowing that was where he'd find Chloé. And sure enough that was where she was. The crowd had formed a circle, making way for the husband and wife to dance. It almost felt like a wedding. Chloé had informed him that she usually did a slow dance with her father or her boyfriend if she happened to have one. This time it was his turn. She had taken her train off, giving herself the ability to move more freely.

She stretched out her hand for him to take. He pulled her in close, knowing only what she had taught him about dancing. It didn't matter, because the world slowly faded away as they moved across the space. He would dip her when it felt appropriate or spin her when she gave him a little nod. They went in circles around each other, feeling the music and guiding each other. The music swelled, reaching its height, and Chloé winked at him, giving him the signal he needed to grab her by the waist and spin her twice. He put her down smoothly, the dance picking up right where they had left off. It was just the two of them. Everyone else faded away and all they could see was each other. It took them a few seconds to tune back into the world when they had stopped moving and the song was done, finally realizing that people were applauding them.

"Ugh," Alya grumbled from next to Nino and Sabrina, "they're worse than Adrien and Marinette."

The rest of the night went by quickly. The music picked back up and the event went from gala to rager. Every year, all of the older guests that were only there for publicity left early and the cool celebrities and actual friends and family were all that was left. That was when the party really kicked off. Needless to say, Chloé's classmates did not expect that. They also did not expect to see Chloé get down in the way she did. There was one particularly shocking moment when she dramatically got down on her knees and shredded on an air guitar. This was, of course, nothing new to Sabrina and Adrien who came every year, but everyone else would be talking about it for months. Especially when Luka got down on his knees and "air-guitared" with her. A lot of Snapchat stories were blown up that night.

Finally the evening slowed down, until the party finally ended. All of the older guests left and Chloé and Luka walked the Akuma Class to the entrance of the hotel.

"Thank you so much for coming guys! It was so fun!" Luka smiled and nodded along with Chloé's statement.

"Thank you for inviting us," Marinette returned. "And thank you for letting us all in on this." She gestured to Luka and Chloé, who had their arms around each other's waists.

"Luka are you coming home with me," Juleka asked. Chloé leaned up and whispered something in his ear. He grinned widely and then looked back up at his sister.

"Not tonight, Jules. I have some stuff to finish up with here."

"Thank you so much again. I have to head up to my room for something but Luka will walk you guys out." Chloé bid goodbye to everybody and then made her leave. They finally all made it to the door and people began calling for rides or being picked up.

"Well," Luka said, "thank you all for coming again. Can never say that enough. Everybody get home safe. This is where I also take my leave, I'm going to go sleep with my wife."

The entire class's jaws dropped, every single person standing in shock as Luka simply turned and made his way back inside to do just that.
