An old passion, A new friend

It's been four years since I left brett. In those four years I have spent with Jason, I have been happy. I never had any bad issues or problems with him. He has so far been acting like any other kid was. I wonder; what was the big reaction about? Why did he think he was such a bad omen? And why was Brett the only one who reacted so poorly? True, I have seen those snobby faces given to me and Jason, but nobody has screamed at me. Well, this is when Jason has truly opened up to the outside.

Back in the apartment, Jason was reading the book his mom has got him. He would mutter the words to himself as he studied the instructions to different techniques and patterns he could try. Also, Jason really wanted to learn that flame charge moves. Kylee was also reading when she heard a knock at the door. She looked up; questioning who it could be. She got up and walked over to the door. She opened it up and looked down, there was a box sitting at the doorstep. "Hey jason!" Kylee shouted at the direction towards his room. "Yes mom?" he responded, putting his book away and rushing to the living room. Kylee picked up the box and brought it inside, shutting the door on the way back. She then sat down and set the box on the floor. Jason sat next to his mother, wondering what was going on. She cut open the box using her claws and unfolded the lid. She then looked over to her son, "this didn't come in time for your birthday, but i would like you to open it." Jason got a smile on his face as he dug around the packing peanuts, looking for what was inside. He then pulled out another box that contained a toy guitar. "Is it the one I wanted!" Jason said happily as he then tore it open and took out the guitar. He looked at it; it was a deep cyan color that faded to black around the edges, and It was fit with plastic strings. "Thank you mom!" Said Jason as he strummed it a few times, getting a little note out of it. "Glad you like it honey." she said to him, "happy late birthday." Jason fiddled around with the knobs at the head, adjusting them to the right pitch of sound. Jason had been into listening to guitars, he thought that they just looked so cool and so fun to play. He played around with it until he created a little tune of a song he liked. Despite the guitar having plastic springs, the sound it made was pleasant. Kylee smiled at him. She did enjoy Jason's satisfaction with his gift. Jason played the tune to a song he really liked and started to sing.

"Yesterday"

"All my troubles seemed so far away"

"Now it looks as though they're here to stay"

"Oh, I believe in yesterday"

"Suddenly"

"I'm not half the man I used to be"

"There's a shadow hangin' over me"

"Oh, yesterday came suddenly"

"Why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say"

"I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday"

"Yesterday"

"Love was such an easy game to play"

"Now I need a place to hide away"

"Oh, I believe in yesterday"

"Why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say"

"I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday"

"Yesterday

Love was such an easy game to play

Now I need a place to hide away

Oh, I believe in yesterday

Mm mm mm mm mm mm mm"

Kylee gave a little clap to the song. She then scratched through his hair; with him flinching of course. "You're a very talented boy, you know that right? Most people don't get good that fast." Jason blushed from his mothers complements, he did always enjoy the appreciation though. Jason then looked up to his mom; "I actually have been practicing my moves lately, I wonder, could we go out to train?" Kylee then nodded. "Sure thing son." Jason ran back to his room and set down his guitar. He then opened up a dresser and pulled out his black-belt. He also snagged his book along the way out. Kylee scooped him up and hoisted him up on her shoulders. She opened the door and they were on their way out.

They were both walking down the path, jaso holding his mom's hand with his left, his belt in his right. Kylee then felt a presence; something wasn't right. Then, all of a sudden, a person jumped out from the bushes in front of them. Kylee then got a good look at her. She was a young teen-ager from the look of it, and from the outfit and the belt with poke-balls on it, she was a trainer. 'Oh no.' Kylee thought to herself. 'Here we go, freaking brat-children.' The trainer in her young, high-pitched voice, was declaring what you'd expect; she wanted a match. " Well hello there miss." she said in her annoyingly loud tone. "A blaziken should do good in a battle." she said. "What do you suppose we get a good fight in? Cause I'm bored to tears not finding anything good out here!" Kylee then snorted at her. " I'm not into fighting." The trainer then responded smugly. "Hmm then what do you think you're doing out on a tra-" she cut herself off when she saw jason. She then had a look of disgust. Oh my god! Is that !? oh hell yeah!" she said pointing to Jason. Jason then raised his eyebrows. "Me?" he said as he pointed to himself. "Yeah you! Oh god i never thought i encountered one!" she then started to laugh "god its worse then i imagined!" Kylee walked to the side of the path and held her grip to Jason tighter. Then she looked the trainer in the eye. "Look I don't know what you're up to but I don't have time for this! Now get out of our way!" The trainer being a trainer was not going to let this slide. She then stepped in front of her again, getting an angry growl from kylee. "I will tell you what! I want a battle from him! See i've been traveling and nothing has been improving me! So I would like to prove I can beat that rarity! You know we all do!" Jason's eyebrows when he heard this. 'Is that what you think huh?' Kylee then snapped out at her. "I'm not going to risk the life of my son for a trainer's ego! Now get-!" Jason then stepped up to the trainer. "I'll fight! I'll prove I'm powerful to you!" he said to her. the trainer got a little grin from this "okay then! Step up!" Kylee got more of a face of worry when she heard her son say this. Kylee looked down then put her hand on Jason's shoulder. Jason then looked back to his mom. "Son, I don't think you should do this. You could get really hurt, and I don't want that." Jason did note his mom's concern, but he felt like he was ready for this moment. "It's okay mom. I want to do this, I want to put that training to good use." Though kylee's motherly instinct had kicked in. He was right. He would eventually be put into this kind of situation. "Will you let me fight?" Kylee then remembered; it was her son, she did after all, want him to be a strong, competent kid. She then sighed and nodded, "go ahead son, your time to shine." Jason smiled and then turned around to face the opponent.

The trainer got her mischievous grin again. "Oh you're in for it little boy!" Jason just folded his arms in response to this comment. She then pulled out a poke-ball from her belt and threw it up into the air. "Go froakie!" After those words were said; the ball opened up and a beam of red electricity fired down at the ground. From where the beam had hit, a froakie had materialized onto the found. This being a feral pokemon; it had no appearance of muscle at all. Jason had to hold back a smirk after seeing how stupid the thing looked compared to him, kylee then gulped. She knew her son was at a disadvantage now. But she calmed herself knowing he could do it. Jason then tied the belt to his waist and took off his shirt. The little frog felt a little threatened after seeing how strong Jason looked, but it was not going to show fear to him. The trainer shouted to her pokemon. "Okay froakie, show no mercy! Give it your all!" Kylee gave her son some consoling for the fight. "Okay son, make me proud." Jason smiled and nodded to his mother, then took a stance. Then, with the call of the trainer, the match was started.

"Froakie! Use bubble!" screamed the trainer. At respence, the frog started to form little suds around itself. "Jason! Use ember, and keep it spacious."Jason the balled his hands up and formed the glowing coals. Froakie then rushed towards him and spread its arms out, throwing bubbles of water everywhere. Jason doged the splashes and threw one ember at the frog. The coal exploded and the frog yelped, leaping out of the way of the explosion. The trainer then shouted to use its quick attack and follow it up with pound. Kylee then shouted out to Jason to use the quick attack as well and use the embers along with it. As the frog bolted with the attack, Jason then spiraled up into the air and three down three embers. The frog managed to doge the bulk of the explosion but got grazed by the fire. It didn't mind as it followed the second part of the quick attack and hit a kick on jason. Kylee winced as he saw the impact was hit on jason. Jason gave a grunt as he was hit but it didn't faze him that much. He finished his quick attack by kicking the frog back, along with throwing his remaining ember at it. The trainer in her mind screamed: 'avoid it! Avoid it! common!' The frog scrambled in mid-air to avoid getting hit by the coal. The coal exploded on the ground as the froakie had just barely escaped it. They both landed on the ground, Jason then noticed that the ground was wet and could leave him more vulnerable to other attacks. "Froakie pound!" shouted the trainer. Kylee responded with her attack. "Jason! Counter it!" Jason knew what move he was going to do next. As the frog threw out a punch at him, he grabbed the frog's fist and moved it aside as he gave out a scratch. Froakie didn't have time to avoid this one as Jason's claws scraped at the chest of the frog. He cringed as he skidded back on his two feet. The trainer did shout a command but the frog was already ahead of her. He then rushed at Jason with a quick attack which collided. It knocked Jason over into the wet puddle behind him. Jason made a cringe sound as he hit the wet ground. Kylee then gasped and yelled "look out!" as Froakie was in mid air, rushing toward Jason with a fully charged water-pulse. Jason reacted quickly and kicked away the frog's arm, making it so the pulse barely missed him. Jason then threw a wave of fire that hit directly on the frog's back. The frog screeched its name as it was burned by the fire. Then Jason kicked him three times in the air, following it up with a finishing blow; kicking the frog in the back. The frog fell into a nearby bush. Jason returned to his stance, staring down the area where the frog had landed. The trainer then yelled out to the pokemon: "get up! And dodge the damn moves!" The frog leaped up and took its own stance and stared down jason. Kylee had seen the damage to her son, and thought if she should really be letting her son do this. "Are you okay jason?" Jason respended: "never felt more alive." Kylee comforted after hearing this. "Can you handle it without instructions now?" she told him. "Yes I can," he said back to her with strong confidence. Kylee then stood back and watched, and while she was worried, she was confident as well. "Go ahead son, carry on." The frog got up and awaited the next command. His trainer screamed: "get close and give him a pulse!" Froakie used his quick attack and rushed at blinding speed towards him. Jason used detect and countered the move. He then grabbed the frog and threw him into the air. Jason followed it up with a flurry of kicks in the air. The frog had barely any time to react so he crossed his arms together and blocked the incoming kicks. Jason then landed onto the ground and gave the frog a frequency of jabs. The frog tried blocking every kick and hit Jason threw out at him, but his arms were hurting from all the damage. The frog screamed its name and grabbed Jason's foot, then he held his hand up, ready to blast water at it. Jason reacted quickly and burst fire out of his leg. The frog screamed at the fire and lost control of the water. Water sprayed upward and drizzled down on jason. Kylee was thinking if she should run in there and do something after seeing all the water. 'God! What am I doing!' she thought to herself. Jason then created three embers in his hand and ran at froakie. The frog was trying to focus on Jason but it was hard with his trainer yelling moves at him. He eventually settled on a bubble and thrust out all the suds everywhere. Jason ran and slid underneath the bubbles and behind the frog. He then collided all the embers together causing an explosion that evaporated most of the water, creating a mist. Foakie yelled and jumped, barely escaping the explosion. Then there was silence in the cloud. The rainier was screaming "detect! Detect!" into the cloud, kylee had thoughts racing through her mind. 'Please be okay! You got this son!' In the cloud, Jason was trying to use detect, but the heavy fog made it hard to focus. He then kicked his foot and spun it in a circle, shooting a big ring of fire that cleared the mist away. But when the mist was lifted, it was too late. Froakie fired a water pulse directly at Jason's back, he shouted in pain as the water collided at him, soaking him. He fell over into the ground. "Oh god!" kylee screamed as she saw the horrible sight. the trainer gave an excited grin as she knew she might have won. Froakie jumped and was ready to finish off the battle with another pulse. Kylee wasn't going to let her son get hurt anymore. She rushed out to her son lying on the ground, but before she could get to him, he snared and leaped into the air. They both looked into the sky in confusion. Foakie was above Jason with the readied pulse. But Jason had his attack prepared. Jason then screamed at him: "goodnight!" With that being said; he fried a full powered flame charge at froakie. Froakie gasped his name and fired the puse in an attempt to snuff out the move. It didn't work. The ball of fire instantly evaporated the water leaving nothing to protect the frog. The ball collided with a huge explosion. Froakie was sent flying, and from the look on his face; he had definitely fainted. Jason landed back to the ground and sighed; he had won! He looked back proudly to his mother who was running towards him. She then picked him up and hugged him, crying. "Oh I'm so glad you're safe!" she cried into his shoulders. Jason responded with a hug as well. "It's okay mom, I'm okay.'' The trainer wasn't paying attention to this; she saw her pokemon flying in the air out of control. Then a single tear fell from her eye; her pokemon was definitely not going to survive this fall. Then Jason looked to the trainer and then the froakie falling to his death. "Hold on mom." he said as he used a quick attack and ran out to where he was falling. He then used the second part of his move to jump. Then he caught the falling frog; saving it from the fall. Then he landed with it in his arms. "Froa?" the frog said weakly as he looked up at Jason with squinted eyes. "Good job buddy." he said to Froakie, patting his chest. "Oh, and sorry if I hurt you badly. I'm just doing what I can to protect myself." he then ran back to the trainer and handed her the pokemon. "Here, I think this belongs to you. Good job with the fight." The trainer then retracted the frog into its ball, red electric flares absorbing the pokemon into the ball. She was pissed. She lost the fight and made a fool out of herself. But the anger couldn't quite get to her enough; he did save her pokemon after all. She then lost her anger entirely. She burst into tears while running up and hugging jason. "Thank you for saving my froakie! I was so scared he was going to die, thank you! Thank you!" Jason was surprised by the affection but he smiled anyway. "You're welcome madam." she then let jason go back to his mom, she then went up to kylee and talked. *sigh* " I hate to lose but," she sniffled. " I guess you won." she said while fighting more tears. kylee then smiled smugly at her. "Did you learn your lesson?" the trainer then sighed, " yeah yeah, im sorry." she said. " I'm just happy I got in an interesting fight today, and that my beloved Froakie is not dead," Kylee smiled. "If you love him so much why do you put him in danger?" The trainer then got defensive over her comment. "Hey! You Don't know what bond that I have! He loves me!" Kylee sighed "yeah, but i don't see it." she said. "Look, a journey with a pokemon is a way of bonding! A special journey for friendship! "Kylee smiled smugly. "Okay then, if friendship is keeping him caged and forcing him to do battle, go ahead. Take care trainer." she said as he then patted her on the shoulder. " my pokemon likes fighting! And being in the ball is like- ugh whatever! Goodbye to you and your… weird kid!" Then, the trainer left and was on her way. Jason grabbed his shirt and put it back on. " way to go jason. You did a good job today." Kylee said to him. "Are you kidding mom?! I was awesome!" the kicks I was doing!, all those moves! It was great!" Jason energetically said to her. She smiled and scratched through his hair. Jason couldn't help but laugh from the contact. " Oh mom! Why do you do that?" he said jokingly. She said nothing about that. She then picked him up and put him on her shoulder. "You also figured out how to do the flame charge! Good work on that!" "Thank you mom!" he said back to her. "I always love to practice!" he then responded, "but i will warn you, i was really worried for you out there." she told him. "I don't really like you doing fights, I hate having to see you getting hurt." Jason then had a straight face, she was right after all. "Yeah, it did really hurt getting hit by the water and it still kinda hurts. But it felt nice getting to battle for real And I'm sorry for scaring you, "Kylee smiled. "It's okay son, I'm just glad you're okay. Let's get home and put some medicine in that splash." The two then went back to their home.

Kylee then took out a full-regen potion from her drawer. She sprayed it on her son's back. He sighed at the medicine healing the wound. "What do you say? I go and get us some treats for your first real battle?" Jason smiled and nodded. "What do you say? Chocolate or vanilla?" she told him. "Eugh! I'll have some vanilla please!" kylee smiled and was off on her way. As Jason waited by the window, he wondered; 'what was that thing "very rare and powerful" about?' He then looked down at himself. 'I look the same as anyone else right? So what's so special about me?' Kylee made her way back to the house and entered. The two then unwrapped their ice cream sandwiches and parodied a toast. "To jason! For his first victory!" kylee roleplayed. "To me!" replied Jason while giggling to himself. Then the two bumped their ice cream sandwiches and took a bite. When the two were finished, Jason asked his mom a question. "Hey mom." "Yes son?" she said. "That trainer said I was very rare, what does that mean?" Kylee then sat down on the couch with Jason in her lap. "First off you don't have the normal colors of other torchics, they are usually born orange, you were born violet." Jason then took this into context. He noticed His mother was red; a normal blaziken color while he was more a purple-ish color. "So oher kids dont look like this?" he questioned. "No they don't. And that's not just it, i was told you have a strange object inside of you.'' Jason leaned in closer, he wanted to hear where this was going. "From what i heard, this object will make you much stronger than you already are.'' Jason was surprised. "I can be way stronger?! Woah, that's cool!" Kylee then sighed and was ready to give him the truth. "That's also the reason you never saw your father." Jason looked up, confused. "My dad?" "Yes, he told me horrible things when he saw you, he said that you would cause him problems and that I should get rid of you." Jason then got a sad look in his eye; the one Kylee hated to see the most. "Dad hates me?" she sighed and explained "Your dad was not a very good person, he was selfish, and mean. He was definitely not nice to me, and he would not have been a good father for you." Jason looked down sadly. "Why would dad hate me?" Kylee then put an arm around jason. "He was probably jealous, jealous of what you are capable of, jealous of how special you are. He's a troubled man after all." Jason then shut his eyes and leaned into his mom. "But what he thinks doesn't matter. You're a great kid and I love you for that. So don't let any bad thing anyone says get to you, because it's not true." "thanks mom." he said as a tear fell from his eye. She hugged him tightly. "It's okay son, I will never hate you for being who you are. I hope that someday, you will find somebody else who admires how special you are."

One year has passed since Jason had won his first fight, and he has been training and practicing to become stronger, and also a year after his mom told him that she hopes he can find a friend. Today, Jason will change.

I groaned as I woke up and sat up in my bed. I roll over and check the time: "6:33? I don't wake up at this time. I put my hand to my forehead. "Aah!" my head is burning up right now; in fact my whole body is hurting right now. I groaned and laid back down in my bed, but I just couldn't sleep. I then got up and stretched. I then walked over to the bathroom to get a drink. I winced in pain every time I took a step; why was I hurting so much? I then entered the bathroom and turned on the light. When the light was on, I saw my hands, "huh?" I saw that they weren't just feathers anymore. I had talons and scales. Then I looked into the mirror and saw myself. I nearly screamed as I fell backward and crashed into the wall. I groaned in pain as I rubbed the back of my head. Then, I heard the door open to my mothers room. She then burst into the bathroom, "Jason! What happened! Are you ok- oh my god!" she gasped when she was me. "What's wrong?" I said to her, She hoisted me up and looked at me. Then she started crying with a smile. "What's wrong mom!?" "Jason, you evolved!" I was shocked. She told me about this evolution thing, and how amazing it is. "I evolved?!" "Yes!" she told me, "look!" She then pointed to the mirror. I got time to really take in what happened. I wasn't a torchic anymore. I was now a combusken! "Oh wow!" I said as I admired my new features. I now had a large ruffle of silver hair, my beak was longer, darker and was pointed now, and I was about a good 5 inches taller. And my feathers have changed to a bright magenta color. "Jason," she said to me. "I'm proud to be your mother!" she hugged me while happily crying into my shoulders. I was happy as well to see the amazing thing. Thoughts were racing through my head: 'what moves can i do now?! How strong have I gotten?! What else could possibly make this better?!' "ah!" I shouted in pain as my mom squeezed me. In response, she dropped me while apologizing: "oh i'm sorry jason, are you alright?" "Yes, I'm fine," I said to her. "Evolution does hurt though" "growing pains" she said. "Yeah that." Kylee then looked at me some more, then I saw her yawning. " I know you just evolved but-" said my mom, "I think we should get back to bed." Aw! I don't want to go back to bed! Not after what had just happened! " I can tell you're excited to train but if you want to do that, I suggest you get rest and let your body heal a little." Well, she was right. *yawn* "I'm going to get some sleep, we will see what you can do later. Goodnight my little combusken." she then left for her room; i could aso hear her mutter:"my sons combusken now." I smiled and went to bed as well. I tossed around rieng to get sleep; it was hard after something so exciting happened. But after a while, I managed to fall asleep.

About at 10:01, I woke up again. As I stretched, I felt better than before; that sleep really helped with the pain. As I got up and started getting dressed, I really got a better look at my body. When I took my shirt off (not to brag or anything) I saw I had a solid six-pack on my chest, and I also saw that my arms and legs looked more bulky than before. I got dressed into my workout pants and a t-shirt and grabbed the fighting book. As I exited my room I grabbed my guitar and then strummed my guitar to a random tune, while singing nonsense along with it. "Yesterday! I became a changed man today! Look how far I've come today! Yesterday!" Mom was making breakfast when she saw me playing. "Well somebodys excited." She implied by actions. "How's my evolved son doing now?" "I feel great! A Lot better than before!" she nodded: "hmm good." I then smelled the food that was cooking: some nice cinnamon waffles. She then brought out a dish for her and me. "I thought I would make a little something special for your evolution." As we were eating I decided to ask her: "hey, when should we start the training?" I said while stuffing my face with the waffles. She then giggled a little, "don't worry, we'll do our training when you're done eating, and besides it's not nice to talk with your mouth full." I nodded and saved them for later. After we were finished, we headed to the training area where I was ready to test my new abilities.

When I strapped the belt on, I felt far more power than I've ever felt before; it was insane! Then I did the usual of taking my shirt off. "Hey mom," I said cockily as I revealed my new six-pack and muscles. "Wow son, that really did bulk you up didn't it?" I nodded. "Well, that was just what it did to my body, but I can't wait to see what it did to my power!" I went over to a little bouder and started kicking it; It was amazing! I've never felt this flexible in my life! I then instantly fired a flame charge straight from the palm of my hand. I followed it up with a wall of fire from my foot as I kicked the rock. I blasted fire from my hands while constantly throwing out jabs at the stone. After 15 seconds of jabbing and fire-blasing, I gave it my favorite finishing touch: the flaming dropkick. I yelled as I landed the blow to the boulder while blasting fire from my feet. As it happened, the rock split in half while glowing hot. I looked back and smirked. She was astonished at how much stronger I've gotten. "I feel like I could try something new." I said to her, She flipped through the pages trying to find something. "Ahah! Here's something" she then presented me with "sand attack" she then started demonstariting: "so what you start with is-" I then cut her off. "Wait, I think I got it" "you sure?" she said. "Yeah." "Okay then." Then she stepped back and watched. This was strange. I had never learned to do a sand-attack in my life, yet I knew exactly how to do the move. I guess evolving puts me up a few levels. I thrust my hand into the ground and followed it up with thrusting it upward. As I did it, a huge cloud of rocks and dirt showered into the air, creating a big dirty dust cloud. That will be helpful for disguised attacks. "Hm, you got that perfectly." she said. "You're getting very good." She then flipped through the pages and found another move. "How about this one: aerial ace!" When I heard it, I knew exactly what to do. I leaped into the air and when I did it, I hovered. I was standing about 50 feet above the ground! And then I heard her yell "flamethrower!" In response I pressed my hands together and fired an x-shaped wave of fire into the air. The move burned brightly above me before fading away and dissapearing. I then figured out a move on my own "bounce." I blasted another wave of fire then crossed my arms. A wall of glasslike hexagons appeared in front of me. When they touched the fire, a loud "ping" sound was made. The hexagons glowed and each one flashed and disappeared, the force of the flashes caused the fire to be reflected back stronger than it was. I canceled my aerial ace and landed on the ground. My mom then scratched my hair. " I think that now, you don't need teaching." she said "you're so good as you are, you can just learn moves as you go up the levels." I smiled, but then frowned a little. "Though you're right I will miss your training." she then smiled. "That's how it goes, you get better, and you get stronger without other help." I then nodded to her. Then I bowed to her. "Thank you for training me mom." she smiled, "your welcome son" and she bowed back to me. She then looked at her watch. "Oh shoot, forget the store is going to close in a little while!" as she started walking back she said. "Do you want to come with me? Or can you handle yourself?" wittingly, i responded to her. "Oh yes, I definitely can." then smiled and nodded, "okay you're a big-boy now. Now there shouldn't be anyone here but if there is anyone try no to get into trouble okay?" I responded, "okay mom!" with that said, she was on her way.

I spent a good hour training and practicing moves. I was jabbing at a rock while blasting fire at it. I was getting pretty tired so I decided to go back home. As I was picking my neatly folded shirt off the ground, I heard a noise behind me. "Huh?" I turned around. I saw a frisbie lying on the rocks. 'That's weird." I thought. 'Nobody should be up here.' I decided it wasn't worth my time, so I put my shirt back on and took off my belt. Then I heard more scrambling behind me, "who's there?!" I screamed out. The scrambling then stopped as the culprit came out from behind the rocks: an eevee. It was an anthro eevee who looked to be my age who was picking up the frisbie. he looked and saw me. "Oh, I'm sorry! I-i didn't mean to bother you. I just came to get this thing." as he picked it up he got a better look at me, then he raised his eyebrows. "Hey I know you. You're the violet torchic i've heard about." Wait, this kid knew me? Did he see me while I was fighting the trainer's mon? "I never thought I'd see you! And you evolved two!" He then walked towards me. This also didn't feel right. He's not acting how others act toward me; why? I was surprised when he held his hand out. "My names Carter," he said, "and yours?" I felt like I had no choice but to confess. "Um… im Jason" then I shyly held my hand out and shook. "Well it's good to see you again Jason" then I took a step back and raised my hands up. "Wait, how do you know me?" Then he scratched his head and told me. "Right, I remember this trainer who had me at a fight. She also told me to watch out for this odd-colored torchic because she had her garbage kicked by it.'' This was interesting. "So you saw that trainer as well? And she told you to beware of me?" "yeah!" he responded. "I don't know why she said it like you were a problem. You don't seem so bad to me." Then I remembered what she said to me. "oh yeah, she pointed out that i was strange looking, i've seen that happen before." then what he said next surprised me. "I don't think you're strange looking." this, i didn't expect "Really?" "yeah," he told me, "I actually think you're actually pretty cool looking, with that awesome looking color." "oh, thank you then." "Actually I want to tell you more about myself." me and Carter then started to walk around the area talking. "So I live a while down here." He pointed the hill to a small little area. " and I was messing around with this," he gestured to the frisbie. "And then I saw you around here," he said. "What were you doing around here by the way?" I thought about it. He's really trying to be friendly to me. He's not giving me weird looks or acting rude to me at all. "Well I was practicing my new fighting moves, I'm really into fighting by the way." he nodded. "Hmm, I like fighting too, the problem is I just am not good at it!" so he liked fighting as well. I think I like this kid even more. "Hey, if you want, I could teach you some things I know." he nodded again. "That sounds good jason. But is there anything else you like to do?" I thought about it. "I like to play the guitar." "hm," he said, " any songs you can do?" i told him, "I can do yesterday and that's about it, I'm still working on getting better though." he then told me another thing. " I tried a guitar once. It took me about two seconds before I realised I couldn't play it." "There is though, this one show I like to watch called MXC, it's freaking hilarious!" he laughed, "I should show it to you. After some training of course!"

We spent some time talking to each other and getting to know more about each other. I told him about how the fight with that trainer went and he told me some of his favorite things he saw on MXC. but what i liked most, is when he told me he didnt think my colors made me look odd. He told me he looked up to that, and he actually wished he could have something like it. It felt nice how he didn't walk away, or tell me something was off. He just admired it. I told him that I heard I had a strange object inside that made me stronger. And I told him how my dad kicked my mom out about it. All he did was sympathise with me. Then I realised that my mom might be back. "Oh no, I think I should get back home." I said. "Yeah me too, my parents might get worried if they found out I was here," he replied. As I was leaving, he told me one more thing: "do you want to come over to my house tomorrow?" I was pleasantly surprised by this. "Yeah sure." I told him. Then he said to me, "come to this spot at about… lets say 2:00 okay?" "Okay" I told him. Then, he left. I then ran all the way back to my apartment. When I got inside, my mom came up to me, "Jason, how long have you been out? I was worried!" i apologized, "yeah i'm sorry for staying out for so long, but I want to tell you something interesting that happened." She then stood up and listened. "Not only did I learn some new tricks but-" "but what?" she said. I then told her what had happened. "I… also feel like I have made a friend."

This chapter was a chore to get finished! So it's been a rough two weeks, getting delayed and not being able to work on anything. But it is done! So I hope you enjoyed it and stay tuned for next time! P.S. writing a conversation between two characters is a bitch! -Scrappic496
