"Hey."

Her smile doesn't quite reach her eyes as she looks up at the approaching hanyou. "Hey."

Inuyasha frowns, carrying an armful of logs over to the outdoor pit where she sits snapping sticks into kindling. "He still not here?"

"Not yet."

"Huh." He drops the logs. "C'mere real quick."

A bit confused, Kagome stands and dusts off her hands. "What is it?"

"Stand there."

"Okay," she says suspiciously. When he starts to lean in, she jerks back in a panic. "Inuyasha!"

He rolls his eyes. "I'm not kissing you, Kagome. Stay put."

"Then what—"

His nose bumps hers.
