Naruto struggled under the grip of the person- people? He wasn't sure. But he writhed and struggled, grunting as he attempted to wrench an arm, a leg, anything free from the grips of those who carried him along. His mouth was gagged, preventing him from screaming, and his head was covered with a bag, so he couldn't see where he was. He felt wind rush past his skin, was he being carried outside the village? Where was he being taken? It would seem like forever, until the bag was removed from his head and he came face-to-face with a bright starry sky... It would have been beautiful...

If there wasn't a fatal drop right in front of him.

He screamed in his gag, looking behind him to see a group of smirking, or angry looking older shinobi and kunoichi.

"Enjoying the view Demon?" One of them asked, walking up to Naruto. The Jinchuriki struggled, looking further behind him to see that his arms were being held behind his back by another shinobi.

"You should enjoy it... Because it's the last thing you'll see. This is for everything you've done... For the brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, children... you've killed all those years ago..." The shinobi would say to the blonde, who was glaring at him. The older man grabbed Naruto's hair, pulling it roughly to the side to force the biju to stare over the drop...

"It was our lucky day... to hear that you were out of commission for a while. You couldn't fight back, and nobody will come to save you..." Naruto's eyes widened to hear how they knew that he couldn't utilize chakra. He began to think... the Nurse. He growled behind the gag... No matter what he did, he would never be able to please these people.

"This is for the Uchiha! And for those you've taken away from us!" He shouted in the blonde's ears, which made the Jinchuriki close his eyes, and made his eardrums ring. The ninja who joined him smirked in anticipation...

"Enjoy the drop, Fox." He felt his arms become free, and he felt himself pushed forward. His blue eyes widened, as he felt himself plummeting towards the ground...

In the Past

It's been 16 years since they've met. The Kyuubi confidently proclaims his friendship with the YiLing Patriarch, and the human does the same. It was during these years that the Kyuubi learned of his history, his fears, and his accomplishments. And it was during these years that the YiLing Patriarch would hear the same from the Kyuubi. The only thing they didn't know of each other was their real names, but they respected each other's privacy. It was during these moments where they found themselves truly comfortable...

For years they've hunted, fought, and ran together. Hunting for good, fighting for their own survival, and running from villages who may want to utilize the power of a Jinchuriki... Something that seemed to sicken the human. But after hearing the human's story, the Fox could understand why it would. Humans. They seemed to do anything they could to command power, or gain respect over their peers. They are naturally selfish beings... but this human, he's selfish for a different cause. He's selfish in the fact that he would do anything to justify his morals, and they were respectable morals. He'd go against the mainstream in order to protect the innocent. He'd fight his friends and brothers to fight for justice. Of course it hurt him, every time he'd do it, but he did it in the name of a greater, moral, good. The Fox remembers the YiLing Patriarch saying that this realm, wherever it was, wasn't a bad afterlife... And spending time with the human, and how he approached things... the Kyuubi agreed.

The human wasn't like anything he'd ever seen before... Powerful, yet gentle. His presence, even his clothes, demanded respect. His control over Dark Chakra terrified mortals of all types. And yet he fed the homeless, whenever he'd pass by a village. He'd help a child find their parents when they got lost in a crowd. He'd fight a thug who would attempt to rape another... He had a strong moral code, and he closely followed it. The human was extremely clever, constantly demonstrating adept deductive reasoning and observational skills. And whenever he didn't know something, he'd quickly pick it up. His way of speaking was clever, and he'd often pull pranks on others... Not to mention, his way with words often allows him to get away with free items he picks up from humans... particularly alcoholic beverages.

It was one day, that coming to their little campsite, that he disappeared before the Fox's eyes.

He was eating a rabbit he found, and the Kyuubi was watching and admiring the stars, feeling a peace he hasn't had for years... when he saw a dark, red light appear in the corner of his eye. Turning, the demon fox would see writing, both familiar, and unfamiliar. A summoning seal of some sorts, but in a formation he's never seen before... He made eye contact with his friend, who seemed to recognize the seal as his grey eyes widened. His body began to fade from the world... starting from his feet.

"Human!" The biju would say in alarm, using one of his paws to scratch the ground, to try to disrupt the seal formation, but it simply floated and stayed in place. The human didn't seem to do anything to stop this, simply watching his tailed friend frantically try to stop the process. He raised his hand, prompting the Kyuubi to stop, and look at him with a sad expression. The YiLing Patriarch gave him a sad smile, allowing his hand to fall down to his side, putting down the food in his other hand.

"Kyuubi... I guess... this is goodbye." He says, bringing both of his hands together and bowing forward... "I hope to see you again, in one way or another..." He'd seem to finish, only to be cut off by the biju.

"Kuruma." The human looked up from his bow at what the biju said.

"I'm sorry?" The YiLing Patriarch would say. His chest was beginning to fade now...

"My name is Kuruma... human." The biju would state, looking at the human with a softened, and prolonged gaze.

The YiLing Patriarch would smile again, showing off a perfect white smile as he looked at his friend.

"My name is Wei Wuxian... Thank you for a wonderful 16 years... Kuruma." He'd say, smiling widely...

And then he was gone.

And then for the first time, since his father, the Sage of the Six Paths, disappeared... the Demon Fox cried. And his bellows of sadness echoed through the forest...

Hey everybody! This is the final chapter of the introduction. Don't worry, Naruto isn't dead. That would be quite a boring story, no? Anyway, I'm going to be continuing the voting for a while, just in case a pairing wants to make a sudden rise. But at this rate, it looks like a NaruIno story. I don't have a problem with that, I'll simply have to do more research if that is the case.

Oh yeah! If you don't know MoDaoZuShi, or The Untamed, I'll be posting References on my Bio!

But anyways, here's the current votes

- Kurotsuchi: 0

- Shizuka: 1

- Ino: 7

- Fu: 1

- Tayuya: 1

- Temari: 1

I hope you guys are enjoying reading the story as much as I am writing it. This is getting be back into the groove of writing fanfictions, so I'll also, perhaps, continue writing Winged Redemption soon.

Anyway, thank you so much for your support,

Nitro
