Sh-Speccy.
Ha. Great mental image you've left me, yes, I can clearly see the resemblance. On the other hand, epic game.
Sh4adowSt4lker.
Yes. I miss pronouns sometimes, most of the time.
Yes, again, I will continue with the present, also adding some sort of flashbacks/nightmares of Jason in which he remembers or is immersed in his past.
NecrorexSparda.
I hope that this chapter has answered some of your doubts.
Two powers can be glimpsed especially, here one was seen, later the other will be revealed; besides, of course, of their immortality, their superhuman force and such things.
Silvanna Lightnight.
Thank you so much for your continued support, greetings.
Good, this chapter that might blow their heads off, haha.
It can cause a slight disruption. But for me, I think it's just the beginning of good things.
Without further ado, greetings.
The first Lycans fall easily, the Samurai Edge feels as good as the first time; it must be said, it was always a good weapon for the supernatural.
Still, he is quickly surrounded, the Lycans prove to him that they are not so stupid and work in a herd.
The gun starts to slow down, and he curses for the third time, lamenting that he was the asshole he was, by offering to do the field work.
As he grumbles once more, he manages to dodge a punch that would surely have left a good mark on him.
With nothing else to do to get out of it, he comes up with two solutions, the first one ends up by quickly discarding it, since he has only tried it in a closed place, not in an open clear. So it's decided on the second.
He closes his eyes, in an attempt to concentrate on one thing; and in seconds, out of the palm of his hand, a small orb appears, which quickly becomes a small flame. And, without further ado, he throws it to the nearest Lycan.
The beast howls at once in pain, and falls in a couple of seconds; the scream seems to appease the attack of the rest, at least for a few moments.
The young man, seize the opportunity. Give me a minute and I'll do anything, that was his saying.
With the opening created defeat the remaining, but at great cost, the victory exhausted him completely.
Totally tired from the effort, he begins to circle, in one last attempt to evade the next, but then a larger Lycan makes his appearance. A giant all hairy, with a big gavel in his hand.
This one with a simple jump lands in front of him.
-"Karl?". It's the first thing that comes to Jason.
The guy grunts in response and starts balancing his hammer with an effective technique.
Jason doesn't have time to dodge it, and all he does is cover himself with both hands; so he flies a couple of meters into a tree.
The cold, hard snow on his face reminds him that this was not a pleasant visit, let alone an easy one.
With his eyes blurred, he tries to get up, but he cannot, the effort had exhausted him completely.
The last thing he manages to see, just before he slips into unconsciousness, is the giant slowly and parsimoniously approaching him, in a sort of triumphal walk. If that was possible in a place like this.
From his left, a kind of hungry roar and extremely heavy steps echo.
Not that it was so hard not to hear it, the cause of so much scandal was a thing over two meters high.
The thing, it sweeps everything in its path. And as soon as he notices it, he manages to say a single word, one so gruesome and terrifying that it evoked his greatest nightmare. One who hadn't listened for years, but who, in the same way, caused the same thing as always.
Fear, pain, panic and even regret. Yeah, that thing had finally fallen, after all the trouble it had given him and his partner.
But at what cost?.
He had not been able to save the person who at that moment had given him everything, hope, affection, and even a future together. All to someone like him, a stranger who had wandered for years, a mere young man with no family, with a past too tortuous and hidden from everyone.
The image of her being pierced by one of her damn tentacles only made her nightmare worse.
The enormous beast shakes the young girl like a mere rag doll, and a Jason absolutely paralyzed, can only see with deep terror as now, the eyes of his Nemesis rest on him.
And one last time, he manages to hear from his mouth the word that still, many years later, caused him so much panic.
-"STARS!".
Jason wakes up immediately, completely exhilarated and breathing with absolute difficulty. He feels drowned for a few seconds.
-"Shit". He exclaims, finally opening his eyes.
In doing so, he realizes he's somewhere else.
He tries to move, but is surprised that he cannot, as he finds himself trapped in a chair, imprisoned by shackles on both wrists and legs.
-"That's what I needed. Fucking beasts". Damn it.
At that moment a few steps are present, and a face that is too familiar is seen through the shadings.
-"But look who we have here. The prodigal son returns home". Announces the voice from your right.
Jason only looks at the announcer with anger, causing a mocking laugh from Heisenberg.
-"Come on, Jason. Don't blame me for being cautious". He exclaims this one, pointing to the shackles.
-"It was just for safety. I wouldn't want you to set fire to my factory". That said, with a gesture of her hand, he frees him.
Jason makes a move to get up, but Heisenberg nods.
-"We have a lot to talk about. Don't you think?".
-"I have nothing to talk about with you or anyone". Spit on Jason.
-"Whoa, whoa. What do we have here?". Heisenberg exclaims in surprise, as he picks up a chair and sits in front of him.
With a critical, analytical and deep look, he looks at it.
-"You're grumpier than usual... The rest of you, I see you haven't changed at all... Although long hair is too much, but that beard... It doesn't feel bad".
-"You do". Jason retorts with sneer.
-"You hurt me". Heisenberg responds, taking his chest with a mocking air.
-"I don't care". The man in front of him answers, with his voice muffled.
-"Pure trivialities". Gesticulate the German.
-"Now. So we're here".
-"You were always one of the direct ones". Jason exclaims, looking beyond.
Heisenberg smiles, and for the first time it's not mocking.
-"First tell me. What brings you here?. And don't lie to me".
-"You know what I came for". That's all the young man answers.
-"Good". Heisenberg exclaims standing up.
He quickly lifts a green curtain behind him, letting you see what was hidden. A blackboard with several photos, people, places, and even a map of the village.
-"What?. What's all that?".
-"You see, Jason, Mother Miranda ordered me to keep an eye on you, and like a good son, I did".
Jason frowns.
-"Ironic, isn't it?. But see if I had fun". He laughs openly.
-"Your adventures have been, for all these years, my daily dish".
Heisenberg pauses briefly, looking for some reaction from his old friend, but not finding it, decides to continue.
-"Member of the STARS". He finally exclaims, pointing to a photo cut on a tip of the STARS Alpha Team.
Jason observes this, and allows himself to smile inside, thanking any god who has done it. Since some of the names are cut off, especially the one he was most worried about.
Alpha Team, STARS, 24 July 1998. Left to right, Wesker, Vickers, Burton, Frost, Redfield, Valen-.
-"It's a shame. I never knew your last name".
-"And you won't know...". Whisper.
At least, not yet. Think instantly.
-"The Spencer Mansion, 1998". Karl decides to continue, pointing to a photo of it.
Jason closes his eyes to the memory. Exactly on that day had begun the whole series of misfortunes that would befall the now non-existent Racoon.
-"Racoon City, a year later, the city hidden in the foundations". Point to the photo of a large crater.
STARS. The voice cries out again inside his head.
The young man shudders slightly, which Heisenberg captures; his reaction gives him a slight grin, there is something he doesn't know yet, and he doesn't like it at all.
-"After that you just disappeared off the radar for a while. Until I heard news about you recently... Tell me Jason, how do I treat you America?".
Jason didn't answer, and Heisenberg grimaced in disgust.
-"Similarly, let me congratulate you my friend, if you have had fun". He claps loudly, until suddenly he gets serious.
-"Then... Now tell me. What's Chris Redfield doing here?".
Jason's undisturbed face just makes Heisenberg get impatient.
-"I know you don't come alone, you wouldn't be dumb enough to do it!. Or yes?".
Jason is a little surprised by his outburst, and Heisenberg notices it, bursting a laugh in response.
-"Even if you hide it, you're still the same..".
-"And so are you". Jason replies, and Heisenberg gives another loud laugh.
-"Look... If you really came back for it, we don't have to be at odds, since we both have the same goal..". He immediately ceases to smile and approaches his old friend, his face to nothing of him.
-"Kill her". It ends, in all seriousness, slowly moving away.
-"And for that, I don't need Redfield or anyone snooping around town. That's enough with you here. So now answer me, Jason. What purpose is Chris Redfield here?".
-"The same as mine. And it's not what you think". Answer the young man.
-"Huh?". Heisenberg is surprised, looks Jason in the eye, and a slight understanding hits him squarely.
-"Really, Jason?. Are you here for that girl?. Ha".
Jason looks away, and Heisenberg sees some of the old Jason there. He opens his eyes and wobble a little.
-"It can't be. That little girl...".
-"No! She's not my daughter...". Jason exclaims quickly.
Heisenberg squinted his eyes at him, looking for a lie, but did not find it.
Either Jason's telling the truth, or he's gotten really good at lying.
Good. Two of us can play that game, my old friend.
-"If you want to get to the girl, you must face Mother Miranda.. You know that, don't you?".
-"I know".
-"You have no chance... Unless... You join forces with me". He offers, smiling wildly.
Jason stands up and shoots his head.
-"I see you're forgetting one thing...".
-"And what is that?". Heisenberg responds sharply.
Jason's smiling sideways.
-"I know when you're lying".
Immediately and unconsciously, Heisenberg staggered backwards.
-"Impossible". Whisper.
Jason just turns around towards the exit and looks back at his old friend.
-"Rose... She's dead, isn't she?".
Under normal conditions, Heisenberg would have noticed the slight tremor in Jason's tone of voice, but in this case, the perplexed one was him, as Jason had discovered his lie.
-"You could say that... Because thanks to her, Mother Miranda is getting closer and closer to seeing E-". He answered, but he was cut off by Jason.
-"Don't say his name". He threatened him, turning around in a jaw.
The moment was tense, but quickly cut short, due to a couple of howls from the Lycans heard from the distance.
Heisenberg smiled at once from the bottom.
-"Apparently we have another visitor... I can't imagine the headache Mother Miranda will have, and not only because of you, but also because of the person I think has just arrived".
Jason turned around again, and in plain view, starting to walk towards the exit.
-"You still don't give me an answer. It's time, Jason". Heisenberg tried to stop him.
-"And I won't give it to you".
That seemed to keep Heisenberg quiet for a few minutes, until he finally laughed.
-"You seem to be tougher than before".
-"You look like it too...". The young man replied, starting to leave.
-"Wait!". Heisenberg roared, and Jason turned to his side, expectantly.
-"Yes?".
-"I would advise you not to go to the Castle. Some... They didn't take your leave as... Well as I did". Immediately the young man laughed slyly.
-"Like you?. Are you serious?".
-"Look at me. I haven't killed you yet. Or is that what you want?".
-"Ha. No".
-"If I were you, I'd be as far away from that damn castle as possible".
The young man turns a deaf ear to the warning and finally walks through the door, looks up at the sky and breatches a long sigh.
-"See you, Karl".
Heisenberg is surprised for the thousandth time a day, and, despite being somewhat stunned, manages to answer just in time.
-"I'll see you, Jason".
As soon as he left the Heisenberg Factory he rushed to the village, in an attempt to intercept the person in the midst of all the trouble.
But still, he didn't make it in time
He got to the scene, but there was no one left, just a few traces of a small fight.
On the one hand he cursed, he had missed the opportunity to help the young man, but on the other, he was a little relieved that he didn't have to run into those damn Lycans again. They were hard to gnaw, and more so if there were several of them.
He was shocked to hear a laugh behind him.
-"Hi, Jason". The person shouted behind her back.
That voice.
Shit.
Who will it be?
