Chapter 5: Not Good
As soon as the bell rung the students sat in theirs seats. The teacher comes in. "Good morning, class." It was a middle aged lady in a business attire looking outfit, but not too fancy though. "Good morning, Mrs. Kimi." The students respond back to her. The teacher has black hair in a bun with glasses on. "Well, for starters, we have a new student joining us. Higurashi, if you could stand." On cue, Kagome stood up shyly. The students turn to her direction. "Remember class. When we meet someone new to the group, we have to make her feel welcomed. You may sit, Higurashi." Kagome nods as she sits back down.
The first period wasn't as bad as she though. She might have to go through the same phase with her following classes. Next is science. Kagome finds out that only Miroku and Inuyasha are in her class, but Sango has life 101 class somewhere else in the building. She comes into the room to find lab tables with various science equipment. She finds an empty spot and decides to sit there. Soon after another student enters the room. It's a teenager boy a bit older than her. He has black hair in a high ponytail, a brown headband, icy blue eye full of pride. He's wearing a brown jacket with a white t-shirt under it. Deep blue jeans and black sneakers. He spots Kagome in one of the lap room. 'It couldn't be…' He thinks to himself. He walks up to her. "Kagome?" He said to her.
Kagome on the other feels a chill going down her spine when she heard someone said her head. She slowing to see the one person she never wanted to see ever again. "I had no idea that you were going to be here of all places." The boy said to her. Kagome remains silent. She has nothing to say to him. "Oh come on are you still upset what happened?" The boy comes closer. That's when Kagome begins to shake uncontrollably.
Inuyasha and Miroku walk in talking to each other until Inuyasha sees Kagome shake. "Hey what are you doing to her?" Inuyasha comes up behind the guy. The guy turns around to see Inuyasha with his arms crossed with a scary look on his face. However it doesn't work. "For your information dog turd, I happen to be Kagome's boyfriend." He said back to Inuyasha. Miroku can see Kagome shaking still. "From the looks of it, she disagrees." Miroku comments to him casually. Inuyasha agrees with that. "From the looks of it indeed. You so claim to be her boyfriend…" Inuyasha speaks first. "…ex." Kagome said to him. "Now leave, Koga." She demands him with the gathered courage.
Koga chuckles. "Which I could, but I can't. I'm in the class. So I won't be leaving anytime soon." Just hearing him say that, Kagome shakes again. Koga is about to hold until Inuyasha beats him to it. "Leave or I'll make you." He warns Koga. Koga narrows his eyes. "From the looks of this, Kagome. You prefer to go for someone pathetic compared to me." Koga growls and leaves the group to sit at a different lab table far away from them. The classroom fills up the room and the teacher enters in to begin.
Ever since then, Kagome has found out that Koga is in every class she's been assigned to. Just seeing him in every one, Kagome is either with any of her new friends for protection. She just shake if she feels that he's close by. It's horrifying. For now it's lunch so she decides to go to the roof to eat. The weather is nice enough to stay put. The gentle breeze tickles her loose hair to make her feel that she can fly away. She is able to take a bit of her food her mother made for her this morning, the door opens up to let someone outside. "Oh there you are." Inuyasha said to her in relief. "I've been looking all over for you." He comes up to her. "How did you find me?" Kagome asks him. Inuyasha sits down by her and pulling out his lunch. "That's easy." He taps his nose. "Your scent easily guides me wherever you are." He explains to her.
Kagome blushes in embarrassment. "Hey I didn't mean it like that." Inuyasha tries to cheer her up. "If you're able to find me like that, then Koga might come after me like he used to." Kagome frowns to him. "What do you mean 'like he used to?'." Inuyasha asks her gently. Kagome shakes her head. "I don't want to talk about it." She declines to give out any information that had scared her since then. Inuyasha nods to her. "When you feel like talking, I'll listen."
After lunch, Inuyasha and Kagome get back into the building to get to their next class. "What do you have next?" Kagome asks him. "I've history." He simply tells her. "I've math." She said in the same way. "I think Sango will be with you this time. Miroku has religion for the time being." Inuyasha said to her. "Hey there, Kagome." Sango waves her by the classroom door that she's supposed to go in. "Hey Sango. I'll see you later." Kagome smiles before going in. Inuyasha nods and heads off the direction the other classroom where his history session takes place.
Kagome and Sango are sitting next to each other. "You seem to be doing okay so far." Sango states to her. Kagome nods. "Yeah but then something happened." Kagome frowns though. "What is it?" Sango asks her. Taking a deep breathe, "My ex-boyfriend is here as well." Kagome glances at her. "Oh. I had no idea you had one." Sango is surprised to hear that. Kagome nods again. Soon enough Koga comes into the room. And a few more entered the room. "Okay class. I'm going to sit you in alphabetical order." The teacher seriously tells them. They students groan but cooperated though. Luckily enough, Kagome's last is far away from Koga's, she's sitting in the first row of the seats. Sango happened to be right behind Koga because his last name is Sakutio. And his last name is the only one on the list. After taking their seats, the teacher begins her lesson. A few minutes later, Koga feels a tap on his shoulder. He turns his head to see a note on his seat.
"I know who you are." The note says to him. Koga stealthily sniffs the sheet to see who it belongs to. It was a hint of vanilla and roses. Obvious that's not Kagome's scent because hers is mint and cherry blossoms. He scribbles something down and sends it back to the person who matches the scent, Sango.
Sango takes the note back to see what he wrote down. "How is it that you know me, and I don't know you?" It said to her. Sango rolls her eyes to reply the note. She waits until the teacher is too focused on the dry eraser board so she can send it to Koga without the teacher knowing about it. "Oh it's simple. I happened to know everything about you so far. And from now on you to stay away from her." The note tells Koga. "Ok, enough of this. If you want to meet me somewhere, tell me." He passes the note back to her. Sango writes the last note. "After school, At the front door by the parking lot." Koga reads it and nods without turning his head around to give Sango the ok.
After school, Kagome grabs her stuff to take home for homework. "So what are you doing after school, Sango?" She asks Sango. "I have to stay after to clean up the lab room. There was a meltdown and I've been tasked to take care of it." She tells Kagome. Kagome frowns. "Oh. But is the student who made supposed to clean that up?" She has a point. "That's true Kagome. However the student managed to leave a big spot on the floor. He was only able to get the surface, but now I have to the do the dirty work." Sango runs off. Kagome walks in the other direction where the bus she took this morning is supposed to take her back home.
Sango comes out of the building at the front door. "Took you long enough." Koga said to her. Sango turns to him. "So how is it that you know me." Koga asks her with his arms crossed. "Oh a little bird have told me since morning. How scared Kagome is about you. The moment you stepped into that room, she was so scared that she didn't focus on her work." Sango walks around him with observance. "I know your little game, Koga. How you manage to get a victim's guard down, broke that person's trust, and throw them out like trash. From now on you are to stay away from Kagome." She warns him before walking away. "Oh if you tell anyone about this, I'll use this to have the side tip in my favor." She has a cell phone with his name on it.
Seeing his phone in Sango's hand, Koga pats himself around his pockets to see if she manage to pickpocketed him for his phone. And shocking enough, she did. "Hey." He shouts out to her. Sango smirks. "Ah, so this here is your baby. I mean it's a beauty for sure. The latest model of the iphone. It'd be a shame if I smashed it." Koga freaks out. "Please don't." He begs. Sango hands it over. "Remember our deal, Koga because I know for sure that I don't break." She whispers before leaving the school to catch the bus that was about to leave the area.
