My name is Gia Ashworth and not many people can say this, but I can. I grew up with the Tracy brothers. Yes, as in Jeff Tracy of International Rescue. They welcomed me into their family after my parents died when I was 14, I never felt alone only loved. We never thought anything would change, but after one night our lives changed forever. Alan had woken up because of a nightmare, so I went downstairs to make some hot chocolate to comfort him. As I went to the kitchen, I noticed 5 armoured vehicles pull up outside and someone was knocking on the door. The lights had woken Virgil and Gordon up and had come downstairs to see what the fuss was about with Alan following from behind. "You three stay here understand" I told the boys and the nodded in agreement, when I opened the door to my surprise Scott and John were there in some sort of uniform with a strict fashioned woman who had the medals of a colonel.

"Gia, the is Colonel Casey" Scott introduced," We need to discuss something" but the look on their faces said that something terrible had happened and those words had gotten the others attention.

"Scott, John what's going on?" Virgil asked as Alan and Gordon clung to me hoping for the support, I usually gave them when they were worried or upset.

"It... it's dad, ther...there was an accident and he...he didn't make it" John stammered out. Virgil went to comfort Gordon whilst I picked up Alan to comfort him.

"May I suggest we take this inside" Colonel Casey asked. Scott gestured to the door and we went in. that night I had learned the family's true business they were members of international rescue and explained Mr Tracy's absences from the boy's life leaving me and Grandma to raise the others. It also was why Scott could never seem to make it to our dates on time or looking filthy. Jeff had chosen to tell me once we moved to the island which was supposed to happen in the summer once I had gone off to university, he didn't want me to be apart of it and I know why. I lost my parents when they were both deployed to a war zone somewhere in Eastern Europe or Western Asia. They died heroes but their deaths shook me to the bone and Jeff never wanted me to be constantly worrying because people I cared about were putting their life on the line. But right now, I knew there were no words I could say except these.

"Scott, you and your brothers were there for me. Know let me be there for you" I said as we walked inside, and he kissed me on the forehead knowing all too well I would be there for them until the very end.

This is my first fan fic and I do have plans for more stories, so I am open to constructive critisism on my work. I will be exploring Gia's history throughout this series.
