That fateful night was 6 years ago and since them I have become International Rescues liaison to the world council, whilst occasionally helping the boys with rescues if I was on the island. The man that was responsible for Jeff's accident had completely disappeared despite the best efforts of the GDF. I had just gotten back to my hotel room in New York after a very long meeting at the United Nations to discuss relief effort after the recent tsunami of the coast of South East Asia, I contacted the boys back on the island. Not to my surprise Virgil and Gordon were hiding under their dad's old desk because Grandma must be cooking again. I don't envy them one bit about that. "I thought your Dad told you not to disrespect Grandma and hide from her" I said as my hologram appeared through the projector making them both jump.

"Why do you have to be such a snitch?" Gordon wined.

"Why do you hide the second anyone cooks anything back home?" I replied knowing he couldn't beat that, "Well aside from the fact that you are afraid of her. The United Nations and the World Council agreed to send 300 crates of medical and food supplies out to provide relief after that tsunami a few week ago to each county that was effected"

"That's excellent news Gia" Scott said as he entered the living room, "When are you due back, cause I think Alan could use some of your world-famous hot chocolate"
"In about 5 days. May I remind you, your dad taught me how to make it and those pancakes you lot love" I reminded him. The emergency alarm went off and John's hologram appeared.

"Sorry if I was interrupting anything but we have a situation" John said in his calm and collective tone.

"I will leave the rescuing to you boys… Oh and do you lot want a cheesecake or a red velvet cake for me to bring back" I asked before I forgot.

"Cheesecake" they replied unanimously. I nodded and cut the call to return to the paperwork I needed to finish before my next meeting. My phone soon went off and my grandparents were calling me, so I picked up and took a deep breath."Grandma, Grandpa. How are you both?" I asked without trying to sound sarcastic.

"Splendid my dear" my Grandmother responded, "We just wanted to see if you are coming to the summer solstice ball, we are holding it this year. So, you won't have to worry about being in an unfamiliar surroundings"

"Yes, it will be a jolly good time and it will get you away form that dull life you live. All that pish posh about world economics must get boring" Grandpa added.

"I wish" I said under my breath, "As much as I would love to I have I very important meeting that is unavoidable and unfortunately can't be moved"

"That's a shame dear. We had invited Travis Dane and his family; it would be nice if you could make it" My Grandma tried to guilt trip me into accepting.

"I will see about what I can do, but for now I need to get back to my paperwork… oh and I have an incoming call from a member of the world council. Love you both. Bye" I said as I hung up and answered the call. "Lady Penelope you are a life saver" I said with relief.

"Another awkward call with your Grandparents" She asked.

"Was my reaction that obvious" I asked, and Penelope simply nodded, "So what can I help you with?"

"Do you still have you research on the Hood" Penelope asked.

"Yes, what do you need" I asked whilst pulling up the files that I had scrounged up over the recent years.

"Any of those locations that have had goods recently shipped to them" She replied.

"I will send you anything I can pull up" I responded and ended the call knowing all too well what the boys were about to get into, remembering the night I knew everything would change for the Tracy's.

It was one of those nights where I couldn't get to sleep, and I had gone downstairs to get a drink. I heard shouting. I listened carefully and I recognised that one of Jeff's friends was confronting him. "Why do you hide what you really do from that girl and not your own sons. She will find out one day and you know what happened last time you kept a secret from her" His friend said.

"You don't tell me how to raise Gia, I will tell her but when she is ready" Jeff responded harshly. I could just stay there and do nothing. In a spilt second, I was in Jeff's office and glaring at the man who had a lot of nerves to speak that way to Jeff.

"You have no right to speak to Mr Tracy in that way, so how about you leave him and his family alone and don't even think about speaking like that to anyone again. You got it." I shouted, but not loud enough to wake the boys.

"My, my you definitely have your mothers temper" The man who was arguing with Jeff said intimidatingly. I stared at him briefly letting him know that I wasn't backing down.

"I can tell that I am not wanted here so I will take my leave." Thankfully, he left after that and Jeff collapsed into his chair looking slightly relived.

"You know that my come back to bite us" He said furiously, but he couldn't help but try and hide his laughter.

"No one should be spoke to like that and especially not like that in your own home" I responded looking proudly, "Shall we leave this between us because I know what Scott is like if anyone tries to threaten his family"

"Yes, we should" Jeff said as I left his office, "He is right you know. You do have your mothers temper" I merely turned around and responded.

"I think it I have her passion to protect others. I have my father's temper though and it usually lands me in trouble" Jeff nodded his head in agreement.

I sort of blamed myself after learning the identity of the man responsible the same one who confronted Jeff. I never told the boys about that night and that it was the catalyst for there trouble that has now come back to make their lives impossible. I finished up my work and called it a night because I had a breakfast meet in the morning with some ambassadors. Morning came quickly. I grabbed what I needed for the day and headed down to the restaurant that was at the hotel to meet with the ambassadors. "Good morning Ambassadors. I hope you rested well" I asked whilst shaking their hands formally, "I have news on the relief effort that is being sent"

"Thank you my dear, your efforts are much appreciated by us and our people" said the ambassador from the Philippines.

"International Rescue was a great help with saving those who were trapped, but it is a relief that we are not forgotten about once their work is done" the ambassador from Japan added.

"Well it is an honour to help those who have been affected by natural disasters" I responded, but the ambassadors from Taiwan and China were giving ,me the stink eye, "Is there anything wrong ambassadors" I asked hoping to find out what their concern was.

"All we hear is false news about getting support that never comes" the ambassador from Taiwan stated.

"I can assure you those supplies do go out to the countries we send them to" I couldn't belief what I was hearing.

"And on top of that we get no financial support to rebuild our communities" the ambassador from China added.

"I am sorry for what has happened, but I wasn't aware that no financial support was being given. So instead of criticising me I suggest you take it up with someone who handles financial support. I am the liaison for International Rescue not a financial expert" I stated the truth and it was enough to get them to think about what they said to me, "Now back to why this breakfast meet was arranged in the first place. The world council and the United Nations have decided to send 300 crates of food and medical supplies out to each of your countries within the next week" I finally got to the real reason why I was even here. And the looks on the ambassadors faces made them regret what they said to me.

"Thank you very much" the ambassador of Taiwan said graciously, "And I apologise for what I said it wasn't right. You were merely trying to give good news and I let out my frustration on you"

"Apology accepted" I respected the fact that he made a mistake but before I could continue my phone went off. The boys were calling me. "I am so sorry ambassadors, but I need to take this phone call" They nodded, and I went to find somewhere quite so I could answer the call. "Boys this better be good" I said.

"Sorry to ruin breakfast, but we have a situation" John said.

"I'll get room service" I stated whilst running up to my room, "So what do you need" Whilst using my watch to check the area where the boys have been for earthquakes.

"I found this whilst doing a rescue" Gordon said proudly.

"It is crudely made" Brains added.

"I hate to add more bad news, but I just checked to see if any more earthquakes were going off and I found a pattern" I told the boys.

"What is it? Is it pirates?" Alan asked enthusiastically. The others just gave him the look.

"No, its that these earthquakes are happening along the ring of fire. 75% of active and dormant volcanoes are there along the edge of the Pacific Ocean" I corrected him.

"Gia's right, and the fact that these quakes are going off in sequence and the epicentres are an equal difference apart" John stated.

"Earthquakes typically don't work like that. This is highly unusual" Brains said worryingly.

"Someone is causing these on purpose, with these things" Gordon stated.

"Why would someone want to cause an earthquake, it 2060 that's not the kind of world we live in" Virgil added.

"You lot need to get of that island more often and actually be in this world" I stated, because the only time the boys left that island was if there was a rescue, a supply run or we go to the family ranch.

"I'm afraid we might Virgil. It was made with of the shelf components, according to my hexpert" Lady Penelope had contacted the boys. We looked at her confused.

"That would be me. Quite a brisk trade for these on the black market, so I'm told" Parker said.

"In that case they should be easy to track" Brains said.

"Lady Penelope did that address I sent you come in handy" I asked.

"Yes, it did Gia, it was the exact one to where these components were shipped to" Lady Penelope said, "We are at the address now. Well that's rather alarming. There's a note addressed to International Rescue. It says 'Press me and all your questions will be answered'"

"I say we push it and deal with the consequences" Scott said.

"I smell a trap" Alan said. At least he made the most sense.
"I wouldn't touch that with a ten-foot pole" Grandma added.

"I'm with Grandma on this one" I imputed.

"I want answers" Scott stated.

"I'm tell 'in ya it's a trap" Alan shouted.

"Kayo, what do you think?" John asked.

"It definitely looks dogy, but what's the worse that can happen" Kayo stated whist thinking.

"My thoughts h'xactly" Parker said as he pushed the button. A bleeping noise could be heard on every device.

"Global airwaves are being taken over, I'm running a trace, but it looks like the source is being masked" John, "Gia can you get a voice recognition to see who it is"

"Already on it" I said as I got my computer on and pulled up the file that had a recording of every voice of someone who has ever been on video. A spooky hologram that was blacked out popped up.

"Now that I have your attention. You have by now felt the earthquakes in the Southern Ocean. Those were only the beginning, there will be more many more. And they will be increasing in magnitude until my very reasonable terms are met, if every city along the ring of fire will be brought to its knees and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. Including international rescue. If you put your trust in them, you will regret it" And just like that the transmission was cut.

"Gia please tell me you got a match on that voice… Gia" Scott shouted.

"Sorry got a bit phased, and yes I did get a match. You aren't going to like the answer" I responded.

"Please tell me it isn't who we think it is" Virgil asked. I took a deep breath and calmed down.

"I'm afraid so, that man in the hologram was The Hood" I told the boys, barely able to keep it together.

"The same man responsible for dad's crash?" Alan asked.

"Yes. The Hood, he's back" Scott said with an anger in his eye that I had only seen once before.
