It had been little over a month since The Hood resurfaced and then vanished again. I had been able to help ever city in each of the countries effected. Not soon after that my grandparents had asked me to come and visit them for a while and I can see why they wanted me to visit, the whole Ring of Fire incident had them scared silly. I was on my way to their countryside manor in my black jeep when I got a call from Scott. "Scott is there anything I can do for you, before I get to my grandparents?" I asked, still keeping an eye on the road.

"I was just informing you of Alan's situation" He said.

"What situation?" I asked firmly.

"The one with the space mine" He said but bracing himself to be yelled at. I pulled over to the side of the road and got in contact with John.

"John you have got to the count of three to tell me what in the name of the San Andreas fault line is going on up there, because last I checked Alan was cleaning up space junk not being targeted by something that wants to blow him up"

"We didn't want to ruin your stay with your grandparents" John stated, looking worried.

"I know" I said taking a deep breath, "Please keep me updated on what is going on" I looked at them both hoping they wouldn't hide anything from me again.

"I will keep you updated and let you know if anything happens" John stated, before disconnecting.

"Scott, I thought we agreed that you wouldn't half inform me about the missions you're all on" I asked.

"I know. We will work on it, but…" Scott started.

"You have bigger problems right no. I understand" I replied and ended the call. If for one minuet they think I am standing by, they are sorely mistaken. I knew that the digital archives hadn't been updated for some time, so I entered the London archives in the satnav and turned my car around. Also, the manager of the archives was an old university friend of mine. I found his number and called him. "Mr. Smith, this is Miss Ashworth from the United Nations, we went to Oxford together in 2055. We were in a study group together" I waited, to hope that he would remember me.

"Gia it is so good to hear from you. So, what do you need? I still ow you for helping me pass that final test we had" Oliver asked.

"One of my friends from the GDF space division spotted an old space mine from the Global conflict of 2040 and may of accidently activated it and it is pursuing Thunderbird Three who is trying to keep it away from civilian transport" I informed him, "And I have already tried the digital archives but it is a bad copy"

"Well how about you come over and I will see what I can do" Oliver said.

"See you in about 20 minutes then" I said heading for London. I only hope Alan is handling the situation as well as he can.

I arrived at the archives after parking my car a few streets away to make sure the press didn't find me. Oddly enough FAB 1 was parked outside, but I didn't give it a second thought. I pulled down the leaver and pressed the logo for the branch. "You have reached the consolidated file archive, London branch" A lady asked, "For an old enquiry tap here" she gestured to a button, "For a new enquiry tap here" I pressed that button, "Can I help you?" she asked.

"Yes. My name is Miss Gia Ashworth. Mr. Smith arranged a meeting for me to see him half an hour ago" I asked.

"Please give a moment" She said before disappearing. I was starting to stress out, I knew those mines only gave you 30 minuets before it explodes. She soon came back up, "Ah yes, Miss Ashworth please enter" The door unlocked and the receptionist was waiting for me. "Please follow me." She lead me to the elevator and we went down to the floor that lead to Oliver's office. The receptionist knocked on the door and we heard.

"Come in" Mr. Smith said. The receptionist opened the door for me, I nodded in thanks and went to shake Oliver's hand, "Gia it is so good to see you, now what would be the ID number of the mine your friend saw again. You didn't tell me when we spoke"

"The ID number is XZ-157. You know the global conflict of 2040 was one of the wars my parents fought in" I said knowing that Oliver would sympathise with me.

"It was dreadful, so many lives lost" Oliver added, "I know making sure the world is a safer place so no one will suffer like you have is important. So, I will get that file for you. I can make an exception about the paperwork this time" But before I could even answer the security alarm went off. "Please give me a minute to handle this"

"If it is serious, I have the head of the GDF number" I stated.

"I will keep that in mind" He added, "Bring them in" he ordered. And to my surprise Lady Penelope and Parker were dragged in with two security guards and the receptionist who handed over the file, that no drought parker stole, to Oliver.

"Lady Penelope, Parker, what in the name of the San Andreas fault line is going on" I exclaimed.

"John sent us to retrieve the file for the…" Lady Penelope started.

"For the space mine from the global conflict of 2040" I finished, "I thought that was why I saw FAB 1 outside"

"Gia you know them" Oliver exclaimed.

"Yes, I do. Lady Penelope's father is good friends with my grandparents" I replied, looking at the file and taking a quick picture of the code and texted it to John hoping it would get to him in time. "Oliver, I think we should just leave this alone and forget about this all together" I suggested knowing that he would listen to me.

"You are right as always Gia, I will leave this as water under the bridge, for now. So please leave now" Oliver stated. Thankfully, we were able to get out with only a few huffs from the receptionist.

"Gia, what about the code" Lady Penelope asked.

"I got a picture of it when Oliver wasn't looking and sent it to John" I responded.

"H'Why you're sneaker than me Mistress Gia" Parker exclaimed.

"Well when you work with the odd corrupt ambassador you pick up the tricks they know over the years. Well I should be off, my grandparents are expecting me soon" I said leaving them, heading to my car. I was about halfway to their place when I got a call from John. "I presume you are calling to say thank you for getting the kill code" I asked.

"Yes, and to apologise for not telling you sooner about what is goes on during the rescues. I'm just used to doing things…things" John said.

"Your dad's way" He nodded, "Well maybe by keeping me in the dark will only make you feel more guilty and make me madder at you" I suggested.

"Your right. Oh, and Alan says thanks by the way for getting the code" John replied.

"And before I forget, Gordon has an essay due in by the end of the week that is course work for him to graduate senior year" I added.

"I will let Grandma know; I think her cookies will get him on the right path" John smirked.

"And I am flying out to Sydney in a weeks' time so please remind Scott when I am back I don't want to wait 3 hours again for him to show up" I said before ending the call and headed to my grandparents
