With a chuckle Dagur stepped away so Iris could have some privacy. Women were strange that way. Granted he didn't know much about women except for what he had heard his men say. He had been too busy to enjoy women except for the one who made him a man at his coming of age. That didn't count in his opinion since he had been drunk and she knew exactly what to do to get the job done.

Enigma chortled at him, looking extremely smug she ruined the moment between them. He made a face at the dragon who snorted and ruffled her mane. He knew she was still laughing at him.

The dragon was attached to Iris to say the least. At first he had been disappointed she hadn't wanted to bond with him. Seeing her with Iris though chased away that disappointment. They suited each other, like Toothless suited Hiccup. It made him miss Shattermaster. He couldn't help but wonder if his dragon friend had survived.

"You are a buzz kill," he scolded the dragon. She just gave him a smug look before prancing off to Iris. A yelp and loud splash had him hurrying in the direction both went. "Well wasn't that nice of her?"

Iris scowled at him, standing in hip deep water. She was completely drenched, including her shirt that she had back on. He just gave her a grin while offering her his hand. With a grumble she took it.

"Oh shit!" That was the only warning he got from Iris as a large body ran into him causing him to fall into the water. "That's what you get for laughing!"

"Oh yeah?"

He growled playfully as he stalked towards her. Iris yelped and tried to back away only to fall over. She submerged fully before popping back up, sputtering. He laughed and grabbed her only for her to jerk him towards her. Under he went.

The water was cold even though it was warm outside of it. Its current moved fast enough to keep any gunk from settling too long so the water was clear. Without going back up he grabbed Iris and pulled her down. She flailed her arms, her eyes pressed shut tight.

Both of the resurfaced at the same time, breathing heavily. Her hair escaped her usual pony tail and was plastered to her face. It gave her a mysterious look before she pushed it away to look at him. Her eyes sparkled as she started laughing. His heart tightened as he stared at her in awe.

"Something on my face?" she asked, brushing more of her hair back behind her ear. "You keep staring."

"Words can't describe how beautiful you are," he said quietly. He reached out and tugged her towards him so he could wrap his arms around her waist. "The moment I first laid eyes on you it felt like nothing else matter. Just you." She blushed at his words causing his heart to feel even tighter. "Iris. I love you."

She stared at him in shock. He didn't blame her. Out of the blue he told her what he had been feeling for awhile now. Anyone would be shocked.

However her reaction wasn't quite what he expected. Suddenly she threw her arms around his neck. She placed a fierce kiss on his lips that he quickly returned. Her fingers curled into his hair. Just as sudden as she kissed him she pulled back, her face pink but her eyes sparkling.

"Dagur, I love you too." He thought his heart would stop at her words.
