"That's the Edge?" Iris asked as an island started to come into view. They were flying high in the sky to avoid running into other dragons or Vikings.

"Yes," Dagur said. His voice sounded tight. She looked over at him anxiously. "Don't worry. I'm okay. Stay back when we get there. I. To be honest I don't know how they'll react to seeing me. Hiccup kind of trusts me but the rest? Not so much."

"We can skip them and go to Berserk Island," she offered but he shook his head.

"I need to see them first. Find out what is going on with the Dragon Hunters. I want you, Jager, and Enigma safe."

She nodded. His logic was sound. She knew the Dragon Hunters were vicious and their leader was too smart. If they put their sights on Enigma and Jager, a strange variation of Night Furys, they'd chase them to the ends of the world. They'd need the Riders on their side.

"Wait here," Dagur instructed. "If its safe I'll have Jager call Enigma. Okay?" She nodded. "Think you can keep up with my language?"

"I can at least understand majority of what you're saying," Iris answered. "My speaking can use some work but its understandable."

"Alright. If its safe and you can land, you and these two saved me when I tripped Viggo's traps. You come from an island outside of the Archipelago and never came here before. Sound good?"

"So mostly the truth?' He chuckled. "It sounds good. Be safe. Please."

Dagur recognized Hiccup on Toothless the moment he came into view of the Edge. The other Riders were scrambling to get on their dragons while the Night Fury flew straight for him. Jager snarled, rearing back to show his size to the other dragon. Toothless growled back.

"Easy bud," Hiccup yelled. "Who goes there? Friend or foe?"

"I can't believe you don't recognize me brother," Dagur shouted. "You hurt me!"

"Dagur?" Shock filled Hiccup's voice. "By Odin its really you!" Jager glided closer, still growling at Toothless. "You're alive! Where have you been?"

"Alive and whole," he said brightly. "I've been getting cared for by a fair maiden. Tell me brother, is it safe for us to land or do you consider us enemies? Jager could use a break."

"I've never seen a dragon like that," Hiccup said in awe. "Riders! Stand down! Its Dagur! He's alive!"

"What?" Astrid shouted. Her dragon growled at Jager who snarled back. "Easy Stormfly. How is he alive?"

"He's like a bug who never dies," Snotlout grumbled.

"Cool dragon," one of the twins said. He couldn't exactly tell them apart unless both talked.

"Everyone head back," Hiccup instructed. "Dagur and his dragon need to rest."

"Hiccup," Dagur said seriously. His tone caused the younger Viking to stare at him in shock. "Tell me. Is it safe for us? Will you lock me up again? Attack us?"

"We won't lock you up," Hiccup reassured. Dagur had a hard time trusting him given the looks some of the other Riders had. "Come on."

He followed them and landed on the edge of the landing in case they needed to leave in a hurry. He slide off of Jager, who arched his back and ruffled his mane in an intimidation tactic. The Gronkle Meatlug shied from his posturing but the other dragons just postured back.

"Fascinating," Fishlegs said in awe. "I've never seen a dragon with hair. It could be possible they are extremely fine scales. A defense mechanism. A sample would be-ek!" Jager snapped at the too close Viking.

"Not now Fishlegs," Hiccup said. "Dagur, where have you been? It's been over a year since we last saw you! We thought you were dead!"

"Its a long story," Dagur said calmly. "I need to know though. Does my companion have your word they will be safe?"

"Of course," Astrid snapped. "We'd never hurt a dragon." Dagur grinned wildly at her.

"I never said she was a dragon." The Riders stared at him. "Hiccup. Do I have your word she'll be safe or not?" Hiccup glanced at the other Riders, who looked just a shocked and confused, and nodded. "Jager. Let them know."

"Them?" Snotlout scoffed. He winced as Jager let loose a ear piercing roar. "How can we trust you if you have other people with you? They on a ship or something?"

Enigma roared in response to Jager. The Riders looked up as she sped towards the island, roaring again. Her voice caused Toothless to perk up but Jager growled at him, drawing the black Night Fury's attention back on him.

The other dragon landed like a dream become reality. She was still white with her grey patches and her full mane was still thick for winter. She stood with her head high, growling with her pair of large fangs bared. He walked over, raising a hand to calm her down. Slowly she lowered her head, rubbing her nose on his hand, as Iris climbed down. One of the Riders gasped and he couldn't blame them.

Iris hurried up to Dagur. It was clear she was nervous which was making Enigma anxious and snappy. He rested his hand on her cheek, gently rubbing his thumb across her cheek. She looked at him anxiously.

"Its okay," he said quietly. "Everything is okay."

"They don't look okay," she whispered in English. "The short one's staring is making me uncomfortable."

"Stop staring," Dagur snarled as he spun to face Snotlout, who looked like he fell in love at first sight.

"Calm down Dagur," Hiccup said quickly. "We didn't expect, well, who is she?"

"This is Iris," Dagur said stiffly. "She and these two saved my life after I washed up on her island. She is from outside the Archipelago." That caused a stir.

"You're lying," Astrid scoffed.

"Yeah there's no way," Snotlout said. "No one has gone through the fog!"

"I did," he drawled. "How, I don't really know but I did and ended up in her care. Look." He undid his vest and lifted his shirt to show the large scar that ran diagonal across his chest. "This was the result of setting off Viggo's traps he had for you all. It almost killed me. It should have. But it didn't. I lived to fight another day."

"You got to admit Dagur," Hiccup said. "It's hard to believe. Are you sure it just wasn't an island on the edge, by the fog?"

"He tells the truth," Iris interrupted. She shrank back from their sudden attention. Dagur took her hand, giving it a soft squeeze. "He was on the shore. Enigma and Jager helped me bring him home to care for him. My family saved him. These two found a way long after he was healed to bring him home. I do not lie."

"What is that accent?" Fishlegs asked in awe. "I've never heard that before. Hiccup, I think they are telling the truth. Plus look at their dragons. I have never even seen record of dragons like them. The closest thing would be a Woolly Howl but they have too many Night Fury features."

"We'll discuss the dragons later Fishlegs," Hiccup said. He looked troubled. "She isn't with the Dragon Hunters is she?"

"Absolutely not," Dagur growled. "Don't even insult her by thinking that."

"Its okay," Iris said quietly. "Maybe we should leave." She said the last sentence in English, causing a commotion among the Riders again.

"WHAT WAS THAT?" Snotlout asked. "I have never heard anyone speak whatever she said! What?"

"Hiccup I hate to say this but," Astrid hesitated.

"They're telling the truth, " Hiccup finished. "I agree. I'm sorry for doubting you Dagur. It's just a shock to see you alive when we all thought you were dead. I'm sorry, we rescued Shattermaster and other Gronkles from Viggo and set him free since, well."

"I understand," he said. Truly he did. "I have Jager now. Shattermaster did a noble deed and deserves to live in peace." He clapped his hands together, giving them all a grin. "Now! Got anything to eat? We're starving!"

Yeah yeah I know Hiccup and them already went through the fog. For this story there is a second fog bank.
