Animaelover: HERE'S YOUR UPDATE!
…
"The Doruma doll fell ooooooooooVER!" I froze, simply locking all my muscles in place as Tamaki turned around trying to see if any of us had moved. None had, so he turned around and tried again. "The Doorruruummmaaa doooooooooooll FELL OVER!" he once again shouted.
I caught a glimse of the newspaper club. They look dumbfounded, shocked at the childish game we play. I chuckle, at them. Good.
"Georgia! Hikaru! Kaoru! I saw you two move!" Tamaki shouted, pointing at the three of us.
I sigh, laughing at the way he was acting, and the way that the twins were reacting. They were so childish.
"You know, I can't blame you for being shocked. I was unfamiliar with it myself. But it's a commoners' game!" Tamaki announces, sparkling over the three, "They have a wide variety.
And none of them requires spending any money. All you need is a few friends to play with."
The president looks at him confused, and slightly worried, "And what does this have to do with our coverage of the host club?"
Tamaki's mood changes quickly, "You need to learn friendliness. If you want to clear the negative reputation of the newspaper club and attempt to capture the hearts of your readers, you must try to be more down to earth. I can just imagine the headlines now. The handsome boys of the host club enjoy commoners' games. With pictures of us frolicking in the scenery of early summer, it will be the perfect facelift for your front page and it gives you the chance to show that a certain commoner's happier now reliving his childhood here with us!"
"He's looking at you. Not me." I smirk whispering to Haruhi.
She sighs, "I should probably start acting like I'm happy to be here."
I look back at the newspaper club trio. "Are you sure that this guy isn't just a complete idiot?" I heard one of them say. I roll my eyes.
"Why can't this just be over?" Haruhi pulls my head out of the conversation.
"You're Fujioka, right? You wouldn't mind if I asked you a few questions, would you?"
I stand between Haruhi and the newspaper club. "Um, what happened to no interviews?" I raise an eyebrow at him.
"It's hardly an interview." He brushes it off.
Haruhi's hand lands on my shoulder. "It's fine."
I can see the president is smirking at me in triumph. "Perfect." He glanced my way as if to rub it in, "So, why did you join the host club?"
I glare at the president, whilst almost being blinded by the flashes of the cameras behind us. I look to Kyoya, and he gives me a re-assuring nod, also silently telling me to keep my cool. Ok Georgia, remember, calm…How the hell can I stay calm? These guys are trying to take us down! I could take them down right now, but no. Calm, calm, calm.
"Well, um, honestly I joined because I was forced to." She admits, honestly not caring.
"You are an honour student on a scholarship, correct?" He asks, and Haruhi agrees. So am I though. If you guys don't remember, I'm here on a dance and music scholarship. "So in other words, the fact that you're a member of this club is just another example of how the Suou family loves to flaunt their power."
I grab Haruhi's hand, "I'd stop there."
"No, no. One more." He brushes me off, taking out his pen and paper ready to write down whatever she says, "Now if you would, please tell me all about Tamaki's dark side. If you can help me out here, I just might be able to set you free."
I felt Haruhi tug on my arm, and I realise that I'm about to burn a hole in the head of that guy. It snaps me out of it.
"Sorry, but as far as I can tell, he doesn't have a dark side."
"Exactly. Now, that was definitely more than one question, so move along."
The president frowns, "That can't be right? You expect me to believe that a group of high schoolers actually enjoys playing these childish games?"
We look over at them enjoying their games, watching them kick the can. "Who doesn't?"
"I don't think it's that weird."
"You've gotta be kidding me…" He growls, and I smirk.
"Next we're playing can-keri. And you're it, okay, Kyoya?" Tamaki allocates the position, and Kyoya just kinda rolls with it.
He shrugs it off, "If I must."
Tamaki wound up his kick, breaking out the old soccer uniform and screaming about his starlight kick, sending the ca flying once again.
"If you honestly think I'm going to fall for the same trick again, you've got another thing…" That can flew into the air, hitting a few things on the way down, and then, it hit the president. Right on the top of his head. Perfect.
I watched as Tamaki grabbed Haruhi's hand and dragged her into the maze. Perfect, I have the best opportunity to go and mess those guys up. They can't keep doing this, they've already broken a rule, so I will be having a word with them.
Still, why would he try to expose a dark side that doesn't even exist? He's got more light than the Day Enchanted on Asteria.
"Georgia! Wait up!" Two harmonious voices call, jogging up to me on either side. "We're coming too."
I raise my eyebrow but continue speed walking, "How do you know where I'm going?" I question, but I can an identical smirk on both of their faces. They knew what the other was thinking, and they both knew what I was thinking.
"Because, we've all got the same idea." Hikaru says, and I tilt my head to look at him.
"Well, let's hurry up then." I say, giving them a nod before breaking into a run, with the twins following close behind me. They seemed to keep up pretty easily, but honestly, I'm built for speed. I can't do this long distance running thing. "I can't let them take down Tamaki like that." I say, controlling my breathing, "It's not right. He doesn't deserve it."
Tamaki, he's so kind and caring. Sure he's annoying but it's not exactly intentional. He's there to help us all when we need it, plus there's that small thing for Haruhi that he has but doesn't realise. I don't know, but that's my opinion. Usually I'm slow at picking up things like that, but it doesn't matter now.
"Trust us, we know." The twins back me up as we made it to the door. I throw it open, going inside and sitting on the desk facing the door. The twins close it behind them.
"Do you know what you're going to say?" Kaoru asks.
I shake my head, honestly I have no idea what I'm going to say. I just know it won't be pretty. "Oh trust me, when the moment come's I'll be ready to strike."
We all straightened as we heard shouting and footsteps thundering down the hall, before the door is thrown open like it was only moments ago by my own hand. "You three." the long haired twit growls.
"Well, I guess it was pretty obvious."
"The boss is the only one who hasn't caught on yet." The twins say, one after another.
"He can be really thick when it comes to anything about himself." I told my arms in front of my chest.
Hikaru looks at them sternly, "I should warn you. If you threat him, there will be consequences."
"Are you ready to have the Hitachiin and every other club members' family as your enemy?"
"Not to mention the physical pain that I will put you through if you try to touch him or any of us." My threat is not empty. As painful as these guys can be, they're starting to grow on me. If anything, they're becoming my family. Slowly, they aren't there yet but they are slowly.
The president gasped, "I knew it. You're nothing but his lackeys. Tamaki's holding his parents' power over all of you."
A sweet little voice perked up from behind them. "That's not true. We don't hang out with Tama-chan because of his parents. We love him. We all like being around him and that's why we choose to be here."
"He may be a hopeless idiot, but even so…" Kyoya begins and I finish.
"He means a lot to us. And we won't let you go destroying his soul just so you can come out on top." My glare was hard and my mind made up.
"Well? What will you do?" The twin's question, pushing them closer towards breaking point.
"Please leave Tama-chan alone, okay?" Honey hugs his bunny close, looking up with his puppy dog eyes.
The president scrambles around on his feet, looking at all of us. "I'll get you all. It's not just about him anymore. I'll write an article that'll ruin all of you!"
"Go ahead, be my guest." Kyoya slowly walks up to the desk, reaching behind me to grab the med-kit he left here only yesterday. He flipped it over, revealing a small compartment where a disk popped out after he had pressed a special button. "Although, what do you think we should do about this little disk? You see, it's been here since yesterday and it recorded everything."
I couldn't help but laugh a little. Kyoya, you sly dog. You knew this the whole time. You sir, are one brilliant mind.
"President…"
"Just give up already…."
His two lack's slump to the floor, feeling the defeat on their shoulders. And slowly, so does the president. "You can't win here. Not with all of us defending him." I stand up off the table, crouching down in front of him, looking into those worn out eyes. "Isn't that right, Kyoya?"
"Let me explain it to you in terms you can understand." Kyoya stands in front of the trio, and I stand beside him, "You would do well to remember that the Otori group and the Hitachiin family alone own enough stock to remove your father from his position as president of the Komatsuzawa publishing firm." He threatens. "However, we would never do something like that. We are not like you. What we strive for is fundamentally different."
I bend down and glare once again, flicking the president's glasses back up his nose, "Don't ever mess with this host club again. Or we will take you down, just like you tried to do to Tamaki. Got it?"
With a whimper, he nodded. "Alight, just please. Don't take this club away from me." A silent tear rolled down his face.
Do I feel guilty for doing something like this? Not yet, I'll probably feel it later on. He tried to take away Tamaki's happiness, and that's something I won't stand for.
"Wow girl, I can feel you aura from across the city. What's got you fuming?" Winter's voice echo's in my head, and I see her sitting in a tree outside the window.
"It's that newspaper club I was telling you about. They wanted to take down Tamaki, and I couldn't let that happen. Not to him, he doesn't deserve it." I tell her as the rest of the host club being to file out of the room and down the hall into the court yard.
The twins walk besides me, "We've never seen you act like that."
Their statement acted more like a question, "So? If you threaten something precious of mine I will defend it." They merely looked at me, but I shrug, "What? Didn't you think I could care about something like that? Oh well, it makes sense. I'm a cold, heartless bitch. Right Hikaru?" I glare over my shoulder at him.
He screamed at me, with anger in his eyes, "YOU'RE A COLD, HEARTLESS BITCH!"
…where is this coming from? I'm acting like a moody teenager who can't turn off the full bitch mode.
I notice him stop walking, but do I care? Nope!
"They're this way." Winter says flying through the sky. I look up and follow her direction.
"Georgia wait up!" Kaoru calls falling in step with me. We were ahead of everyone by a few good metres or so, and I think he wanted to talk. "What was that? That was just…"
"Cold? Cruel? Yeah, I know."
Kaoru sighed, "You know he's trying though? He's trying to get it back. He's trying to be friends."
"Kaoru, you don't get it. That necklace, it meant so much to me. It was my link to my family and now it's gone. Thanks to your brother."
Kaoru grabbed my wrist, but I kept walking refusing to look at him. "You should see him, up all night typing away at his computer. He's not sleeping as much anymore. It's affecting him badly. Please, just talk to him, say you'll be friends, or at least be nice."
I stop walking, waiting for the other to catch up, "I can't. Not until I get it back." I pull my hand free, "they're over here!"
"I found you." Kyoya announces and the two host members popped their heads up with a small woof like happy puppies.
Tamaki looks around curiously, probably noticing the lack of the newspaper club, "Where's the newspaper club?"
I placed a hand on my hip, "They had to cancel, something came up."
"They said they're going to focus on writing respectable articles." Hikaru said.
"So maybe they'll get by without having to shut down." A smile played on Kaoru lips thinking on the thought.
A smiliar one creeped onto Tamaki's face, "Oh really? That's good news!"
"Let's hurry back to the club room and eat some cake!" Honey cheered and we all agreed.
Winter fluttered down and landed on my shoulder. "You're being unreasonable." She whispered in my ear and I roll my eyes.
"Oh god not you too." I growl, looking up to the sky. Hikaru wronged me, he stole from me, messed with my head that day. I just can't believe that he did something like that. He stole my necklace and sold it online. "I can't forgive him, not until I have it back."
"Who are you talking to?" Hikaru takes my attention. I blink a few times, before shutting my eyes as Winter flies away. "Was that a bird?"
I turn to him, with a deep sigh, "What do you want?"
Hikaru's gaze landed on the ground, watching a small ladybug crawl on a blade of grass. "I want you to know that…"
"That what? You're sorry? I feel like I've heard this before." I fold my arms and roll my eyes, just catching a glimpse of the host club turning around the corner, leaving us to our own conversation.
I could see his fist clench, but then it relaxed. "Yes. I'm sorry."
I put on a fake smile, "Oh that's great to hear!" My voice filled with a childish sarcasm, "Since you've said sorry it makes it all better!"
Hikaru bared his teeth and his fists clenched into a tight fist, "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM! I'M TRYING TO BE NICE!"
"OH YEAH? WE'LL YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE YOU STOLE MY NECKLACE AND MESSED WITH MY HEAD! YOU INFURIATE ME HIKARU TO NO END!" I shout at him. So much for my calm day. But, to be fair he was the one who just came in and ruined it.
"WELL I'M TRYING! I CAN'T GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD!" He shouts at me, before blinking a few times. I was there in shock, "I mean, I can't get it out of my head what I did. But I promise," He took my hand, "I promise, I won't stop until I get it back to you. This was my fault, and I'm sorry."
I was completely speechless. I stared into those amber eyes of his, and I couldn't find anything that told me he was lying, he wasn't faking this. This was…real. But I didn't want to believe it. Hikaru can never be a real person, not on his own. Not after last time.
Even though he's doing a darn good job at making up for it right now. Or at least trying to.
"Please…" He pleaded, "Just give me a chance to make it up to you."
I think, for the first time in a long time, I didn't feel anything to Hikaru. At least, nothing negative. But that doesn't mean that I felt anything good either. I just kinda felt…nothing. It's like I was so conflicted inside, that both sides managed to cancel each other out and left me with a field of dead emotions.
But still, I didn't move. I haven't retracted away from his touch, or anything. But why? I don't get it.
Finally, my mouth started working again, and I managed to muster up an answer. "We'll see."
…
Thoughts ran through Che's head like a mad man running for his life. They were all over the place, thoughts of Blayze, Lachy, the Fire Twins, Georgia, Liam, Yuki…everyone is in danger, and Liam, and she felt so useless. Running rather than fighting just made her feel like this.
Fed up, she slammed her hands onto the table, ignoring the surprised looks of the fellow rebels and made her way to her chambers. There was something tugging at the back of her mind but she couldn't make it out.
The room was small, a desk, a bed, a dresser and a mirror. Much smaller than what she had at the castle but still, it was nice.
Her chest began to tighten, and she gasped for air. She tried to breathe, but she couldn't. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were glowing purple, bright purple. And that's when she saw it.
She wasn't staring at her room anymore, no. Instead, she could see a dimly lit room, with a looming figure standing over her. All of her other senses shut down, asides from her sight and hearing. A low chuckle echoed across the room, as a figure crossed in front of her vison.
"Oh Che', you are quite clever aren't you?"
She suddenly froze, wanting to scream, be she felt like she wasn't in her body anymore. She felt like she was floating, like she wasn't a part of this world anymore.
"You thought that you stumped me with your little spell, didn't you. And I thought you did, but I guess we were both wrong."
She watched as she was lifted up, and held in front of crystal blue eyes, and in comparison. She was tiny, as if she fit inside his hand.
"Carciare Mountain, interesting place to hide a God. Mind you, I could only figure it out because of you. You Night Witches and your tricks. But hey, I worked it out."
Her chest began to tighten and her arms were stuck by her side. She could barely move her head. Everything just tightened, and all she could do was stare into his eyes.
"Well, I don't need this anymore."
She felt everything become even tighter. She tried to scream out in pain, but there was no sound, only an open mouth. Everything was in pain, and she felt herself get tossed away like a piece of paper. Darkness swirled in her vision, and the last thing she saw was the menacing smile of her friend turned enemy.
It felt like her back snapped. Like her spine had broken in two…the pain filled her entire body for only a few second, before she felt nothing. Nothing at all. She heard nothing, saw nothing, felt nothing…
Nothing…
…
"CHE'!" Ghost shouted, shaking her shoulders. The girl was unresponsive, just lying on the floor of her room. The dresser had been knocked over, and her hands were bleeding with splinters in her hands and under her nails. "Come on, wake up!"
There was almost no breath in her lungs, and her heart beat was so weak, it might as well not have existed. "Someone get a medic!" He roared down the hallway, looking back at the girl. Her hair lay across the floor sporadically, messy and moist with sweat.
An idea came to his head, as he grabbed her nose, pinching it closed and placed another had over her mouth. "Breathe!" He muttered, allowing a burst of air to leave his hand and entered her lungs. Che's chest rose and fell, so Ghost repeated it. "Come on…" He muttered to himself mostly. How could he lead the rebellion if he can't even save his friend's life?
"Come-"
She gasped, coughing deep from her throat. It was loud, and almost bark like. "Thank god'!" Ghost exclaimed, helping her sit up. "You're alright…What the hell happened?"
It almost looked like she was the living dead, her skin was pale, but was regaining her colour. It may be slow, it's coming back. "I-I…" He voice was raspy, almost as if she had been screaming for hours on end, barely audible. "I was h-here on min…" She gasped for air, then swallowed her spit. "One minute, then I was somewhere else…"
Someone burst through the door and crouched down beside the two. "Here," Ghost had a bottle of water shoved in his hand, and he passed it onto her.
When the water hit her lips, she almost finished it instantly. She barely stopped drinking. She widened her eyes, and put the bottle down, her purple eyes staring straight into Ghost's blue ones.
"Ghost, he know."
He raised an eyebrow, "Who knows?"
"Lachy…H-he knows where Chronos is."
…
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What did you guys think!
