Author's Notes and Disclaimer: Hi everyone out there in the fanfic-verse! If you're here, then that means you've just entered the home stretch to the climax of the story! Yay! :D I'm also going to start trying something new here in the Author's Notes: With the glowing reviews my friend DJ has been giving me, I'm now becoming curious to find out what he and many of you other readers would say about certain things, so I'm taking a page out of his book and adding questions for all of you to answer. I know to start doing that in the middle of a story I'm currently putting up is a bit jarring and I probably should've thought about it earlier, but I hope you can bear with me on this. Just to keep it smooth, I'll add a list of questions I would've put up with the earlier chapters along with the cast list for the story.
Oh yeah…there is a curse word in here, but that's what happened in the original material. You know, with the disturbing imagery of what happened to the rats at NIMH and now this, makes you wonder how this film got a G rating.
Here's the disclaimer: I do not own the movie "The Secret of NIMH" (owned by MGM/UA Entertainment Co., Aurora Productions, and Don Bluth Productions), the characters of "Loonatics Unleashed" (owned by Warner Bros), or the "Tiny Toon Adventures" character Calamity Coyote (owned by Warner Bros and Amblin).
Recap: After being told by the Great Owl to go to the rats in the rosebush, Mrs. Brisby, Calamity, and the Loonatics gain entrance and, after running into Mr. Ages again, they meet Justin, the Captain of the Guard, Jenner, who is planning to kill Nicodemus, and Nicodemus himself. When the eight of them finally meet Nicodemus, he reveals that he has been watching the group the entire time and that Calamity and the Loonatics are from another world. They also learn about how the rats, as well as Jonathan and Mr. Ages, came from a place called NIMH, which stands for "National Institute of Mental Health" and escaped thanks to Jonathan unlocking a door on the roof. Mrs. Brisby also receives a special amulet that contains some sort of hidden power.
They also learn the details of "The Plan" and that Dragon will have to be drugged if the rats are to be successful in moving Mrs. Brisby's house…and mice are the only creatures able to do the task; Mrs. Brisby volunteers along with Duck and Rev, the latter two going along to protect her.
But will they be able to do it without getting hurt or worse? Well, if you already know the original material, then you know what happens, but let's read on and see what happens anyway…
Chapter 10: Caught
Sure enough, when Mrs. Brisby and her friends got home, they were greeted with enthusiastic relief from Teresa, Martin, and especially Cynthia for Rev, and were bombarded with questions like why did they go to the rats, what was it like, what happened to them, etc. The eager questions were answered as best they could, considering the group had been sworn to secrecy. One thing they didn't tell the kids was that their visitors had come from another world; it was best if only Mrs. Brisby and the rats knew for now.
At sundown, Mrs. Brisby, Calamity, and the Loonatics went to meet Justin at the west side of the farmhouse so that they could put the plan of drugging Dragon into action. And, to nobody's surprise, as the hour grew closer, Mrs. Brisby and the two Loonatics who volunteered to protect her grew more and more nervous.
"Won't be long now," Justin told the three now-reluctant volunteers and the others as they waited under the farmhouse near the hole in the floor. "She's washing the dishes. Here's the powder. Nervous?" he asked.
Rev rapidly shook his head "no" in response, even though the answer was actually "yes", while trying to maintain a determined, set expression on his face.
"Very," was Mrs. Brisby's honest reply.
"Don't be," Justin reassured her. "You'll be OK."
"Isth it OK to sthay that I'm feeling a little nauseous at the moment?" Duck asked, holding his stomach.
"You gettin' sick, Duck?" Rev glared at the duck, thinking that he was going to back out at the last minute.
Duck returned the glare and let go of his stomach.
"Take it easy, you two," Ace warned the two birds.
"I hope I haven't upset your plans," Mrs. Brisby frowned.
"That is, we hope we haven't upset them," Lexi added.
"Nonsense! What makes you say that?" Justin asked the two girls.
"I t'ink the problem is we might've started an argument," Ace explained.
"Oh, you mean Jenner," Justin replied. "No problem."
"I hope there's someone keeping an eye on him. And on Nicodemus," Lexi told Justin.
"Don't worry, Lexi; Nicodemus will be fine. Remember what he told ya," Ace reminded her.
Lexi sighed heavily, indeed remembering.
'Justin? I sincerely hope you and the rats make it to Thorn Valley,' Calamity said.
"Dat goes double for us," Ace added.
"And me," Mrs. Brisby said.
"We will," Justin reassured them before hearing something to alert them that it was almost time. "Shh! Listen."
There was the rattling sound of dry cat food hitting plastic, as Lexi pointed out.
"Mrs. Fitzgibbons is filling Dragon's bowl. Get ready," Justin instructed.
Rev climbed out of the hole first, his thin frame allowing him to climb through.
"Oh, my…" Mrs. Brisby exhaled nervously before following Rev up, Duck following her.
"Better leave that cape," Justin suggested to Mrs. Brisby. "Could get caught on something."
Mrs. Brisby lowered her red cape down.
"Hey, why didn't I think of that?" came Rev's whispered voice from outside the hole.
"Think of wha-What are you doing?!" Duck exclaimed softly at something Rev was doing.
"Come on, you too!" Rev was urging Duck. "Come on! Come on!"
"OK! OK!" Duck groaned, apparently giving in to whatever Rev was up to.
"What's going on up there?" Tech asked.
Imagine his and everyone else's surprise when Rev handed down his own red-and-black striped shirt and Duck's denim jacket and orange T-shirt.
"Hold these, will ya?" Rev asked Tech, who accepted them with a rather stunned and confused look on his face.
"What on Earth?!" Lexi gasped, confused.
"I know Mrs. B hasth to do it, but why are you dragging usth into thisth?! Sheesh!" complained a now-shirtless Duck, rubbing his feathered arms as it was a bit chilly.
"We don't wanna get them caught on anything," the shirtless Rev explained, paraphrasing Justin's suggestion.
Duck stuck his head back through the hole to briefly glare at Justin before withdrawing.
"What did I do?" Justin asked for an explanation.
"I t'ink your suggestion to Mrs. B is da cause of Rev's latest idea," Ace smirked.
Justin chuckled sheepishly. "Oops. Sorry."
After Mrs. Brisby got over her surprise at what Rev and Duck did, she was about to hand down the Stone when she got a better idea and climbed back down.
"Calamity? Come here, please?" Mrs. Brisby asked the young coyote.
Calamity obeyed as Mrs. Brisby removed the Stone from around her neck.
"I need you to watch this for me until I come back, OK?" she instructed.
'OK,' Calamity agreed as the widowed mouse put the Stone around his neck before climbing back up.
At that moment, Justin brought the envelope with the sleeping powder in it out of a pocket in his vest and handed it up to Mrs. Brisby. "Here's the powder," he said.
Rev rubbed his hands together, preparing himself for the task ahead when suddenly, a familiar yowl sent a jolt of fear through his body, sending his already fast-beating heart racing and making his feathers stand up.
Duck also heard and had to suppress the urge to Quack out.
Outside, Dragon yowled to his humans to be let in.
"Uh-oh," Lexi intoned from below, her super ears picking up something closer and more troubling than the cat.
As if on cue, Tech climbed up to the hole past Justin to see what was happening. The situation he surveyed didn't spell well: all three volunteers were scared now, shaking like leaves. Mrs. Brisby was freezing up. Rev was starting to hyperventilate; not good.
"Rev? Rev!" Tech called out as quietly as he could.
"I…I can't…can't…I can't…b-breathe!" Rev complained, clutching his chest.
"Calm down, Runner! Focus! Your powers won't work if you're not focused!" Tech commanded.
Rev tried to obey, but his chest hurt so bad from trying to get air into his lungs at a rate his rapidly-beating heart couldn't keep up with that it was difficult.
"Be…Better grab on, guys," Rev managed to instruct as he continued to try to calm himself.
Duck and Mrs. Brisby, who was still clutching the powder, obeyed.
"Remember, Duck, your target is the hole here," Tech then instructed Duck. "Remember the hole."
"Right," Duck nodded, still trembling.
"I don't think I can do this!" Mrs. Brisby whispered.
"Yes, you can!" coached Justin, who had managed to climb up beside Tech. "Now, take a deep breath."
"That goes for you guys, too!" Tech whispered. "Remember, your powers won't work right if you're not focused! Concentrate on the bowl. Rev, don't look at the door-Rev!" Tech barked softly.
Rev looked back at the coyote nervously, his body shaking.
"Look…at…the bowl…and focus," Tech coached his roadrunner friend. "Duck-"
"The hole, not the door. The hole, not the door," Duck recited to himself like a mantra.
"Good, good," Tech nodded in approval.
"Steady…" Justin instructed the trio.
Dragon yowled again, demanding to be let in. Rev drew in a shaky breath, trying to stay focused, unconsciously squeezing Duck's hand and Mrs. Brisby's free paw until they both made sounds of discomfort.
"Sorry," Rev apologized, still very scared.
"OK, Dragon. I'm coming," called Mrs. Fitzgibbons.
"Steady…" Justin and Tech coached the three as Mrs. Fitzgibbons walked away to let Dragon in.
"There we go," Mrs. Fitzgibbons said.
"Now!" Justin signaled.
Rev hesitated.
'REV!-MOVE!-NOW!' came Calamity's rapid-fire instructions, the force of them finally galvanizing Rev.
Eyes glowing red, Rev tapped into his Super Speed and, with Duck and Mrs. Brisby with the powder in tow, he successfully zoomed to the cat bowl. Mrs. Brisby had no time to recover herself from the experience; she had to work fast.
Dragon yowled again, scratching on the screen door this time.
"Coming, coming," the farmer's wife told her cat.
"We gotta move!" Duck warned Mrs. Brisby and Rev.
Rev clutched his chest again; it hurt.
"It's done!" Mrs. Brisby gasped, dropping the envelope.
Duck and Mrs. Brisby grabbed Rev's hands again.
"Run, Rev! Run!" Duck commanded.
Rev obeyed, but this time, the pain was making him have trouble concentrating, and, as a result, couldn't tap into his Super Speed.
"Get back!" Justin warned from the hole.
Duck noticed Rev was slowing down and prepared to Quack the three of them back into the hole, but many things suddenly happened in succession as Duck began to visualize: Rev gasped and started to stumble, Mrs. Brisby cried out in fright, there was an incoming whoosh of air, Rev gasped and started to try to run faster but was failing, and just before Duck completely tapped into his Quantum Quack, a colander came down with a clang over them and Duck had a feeling of losing his grip before vanishing. Meanwhile, Rev and Mrs. Brisby were stopped short by the colander.
"Don't let the cat in yet, Mom!" called a young boy. "I've caught some mice!"
"Mice?" Mrs. Fitzgibbons asked her son, sounding concerned.
"Can I keep them, can I?" the boy asked his mother eagerly.
"No, Billy, uh, put them outside," Mrs. Fitzgibbons told her son, Billy.
Mrs. Brisby rubbed the sore spot on her head she got from running into the inside of the colander and looked around. There wasn't any way out. Her ears then caught the sound of rapid breathing and pained whimpering. She turned to see Rev laying on the floor, having trouble breathing and looking very disoriented. Concerned, she tried to gently shake him, but there wasn't a reaction. Mrs. Brisby then put a paw on the gasping roadrunner's feathered chest; she felt his chest heave and his heart beating dangerously fast. Mrs. Brisby began to panic, not knowing what to do.
Meanwhile, where Justin and the others were under the floor, Duck reappeared in midair and fell with a thump, surprising Justin.
"Duck!" Ace exclaimed.
"Did we do it?" Duck asked, slightly disoriented from his abrupt landing.
"Where's Rev and Mrs. Brisby?" Lexi asked the dazed mallard.
"Aw, Mom, please?" came the voice of the Fitzgibbons boy begging his mother. "I can keep them in Porgy's old cage."
The remaining five Loonatics and Calamity paled in horror at hearing that; it meant that Mrs. Brisby and Rev had been caught.
"Oh, no…" Tech whimpered worriedly, guessing correctly that Rev had lost his concentration, which resulted in his Super Speed being unable to function. And now the speedster was in a very dangerous situation.
Duck quickly racked his brain for an answer on how he was the only one who got out in time; he remembered the colander coming down, then…His grip. He and Rev must've let go of each other's hand in the scramble. And now his teammate and dear Mrs. Brisby were at the mercy of the humans. He was absolutely not going to leave her like that.
"Oh…all right," Mrs. Fitzgibbons was sighing in defeat. "Come on, Dragon."
"Duck…?" Ace trailed, seeing Duck get up with a set expression on his face.
Duck looked up at the hole, narrowed his eyes, which began to glow orange, and began to bring the image of the inside of the colander to the front his mind.
"I'll be back," Duck stated in a tight voice.
Ace started to protest, but Duck disappeared before he could get a word in, the water fowl not even bothering to take his jacket and shirt. Ace grunted and groaned as he tried to hold back some unsavory exclamations.
Seeing and hearing what just occurred, Justin cursed under his breath. "D**n!"
"You took da woid right outta my mouth," Ace growled.
Duck reappeared with a weird screech and a flash of light inside the colander, thankfully unnoticed by the Fitzgibbons.
"Duck!" Mrs. Brisby gasped, smiling in relief at the duck's appearance.
"Missthusth B!" Duck smiled in relief, glad that he managed to teleport to the right spot and that the widowed mouse was unharmed.
He then heard and saw Rev gasping and grew frightened for the young roadrunner.
"What happened?!" Duck asked, kneeling down next to Rev.
"I don't know; this thing came down so fast and Rev and I hit our heads and the next thing I know, he's…" Mrs. Brisby panicked, that sentence coming out in one breath. She took a deep breath before continuing, "What happening to him?!" she asked, very worried for Rev. "I felt his heart and it's beating so hard and fast…I don't know what to do!"
Duck sighed, shaking his head. "Tech wasth afraid of thisth. There wasthn't much of a problem with thisth in the old days," he told Mrs. Brisby, referring to when he and the other Loonatics lived in the future on Acmetropolis. "Nowadaysth, we have to remind him; he can't let himsthelf get too sthcared or that ticker of histh will burstht. Or he'll sthuffocate."
Mrs. Brisby's eyes widened.
Duck knew that there was only one way to bring Rev out of this state.
"Sthorry in advan-th-ce for thisth," Duck apologized to Mrs. Brisby before raising his hand and giving Rev four quick, hard slaps across the face.
Rev cried out in pain from the hits, then let out some coughs and did a loud gasp for air, like someone who had just come out of an oxygen-deprived environment, before coughing again, harder this time. Duck grew concerned that Rev might cough up something in the process as his fit came to an end and Rev began to breathe slowly and safely.
"Sthorry," Duck apologized again to Mrs. Brisby, who watched the whole thing in shock.
Rev continued to breathe heavily, his heart rate slowing down to a safe speed and oxygen coming back into his system.
"Wha…Wha…Wha-a-a-at ha-a-a-a-appe-e-e-ened?" Rev tried to talk, his speech coming out slurred; he was still disoriented from lack of oxygen. "Did…Did…we…we…? Whe-e-e-e-ere…? Tech? Tech? Cal? Rip? Where…are you?" he whimpered, feeling lost.
Mrs. Brisby gently hushed Rev, caressing his forehead. "Rev…it's me, Mrs. Brisby," she called softly and gently. "Duck's here, too."
"How are you feelin', kid?" Duck asked.
Rev's eyes finally focused on the mouse and the duck hovering over him. He blinked as a tear escaped his left eye; he started to remember where he was as more oxygen came back to his brain. He whimpered again.
"Shh," Mrs. Brisby whispered, continuing to comfort the roadrunner.
"Not to sthound brusthque, but you sthcared me, kid," Duck told Rev sternly. "You could've died!"
Rev whimpered louder, starting to cry. Duck cringed, regretting his tone of voice. Mrs. Brisby gave Rev a comforting hug.
"Oh, I'm sthorry, Rev," Duck sighed apologetically, putting a hand on the roadrunner's back as he sat up. "Hey, c'mon, calm down," he said gently.
Rev took a few deep breaths, sitting up on his own. The plumage on his head was drooping. He looked around, taking in his and the others' current location.
"What…What is this?" Rev asked once he had calmed down.
"A sthtrainer, I think," Duck guessed.
"We were caught by the Fitzgibbons boy," Mrs. Brisby explained to the still-shirtless roadrunner. "I think he's gone to get something."
"I think now would be a good time to Quack outta here," Rev told Duck.
"But I've never Quacked more than two people at a time: mysthelf and one passthenger!" Duck protested.
"Then-take-Mrs. B-and-get-outta-here!" Rev ordered.
"O-oh no," Duck shook his head, remembering the look on Tech's face. "I'm not leavin' without you; Tech would kill me!"
"Then-you'll-just-have-to-do-all-three-of-us!" Rev argued.
Duck gave in and instructed the two to hold his hands. Duck closed his eyes and prepared to Quack out.
No screech.
No flash.
No…nothing.
"Um…Duck…?" Rev asked the mallard nervously.
"Gimme a minute…" Duck muttered, still trying to concentrate.
"Nothing's happening," Mrs. Brisby noticed.
"Justht a bit laggy…give it a sthec…" Duck grunted.
"Duck!" Rev and Mrs. Brisby exclaimed.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!" Duck shouted, throwing his arms up in frustration, making his would-be passengers let go. "What'sth goin' on here?!" he demanded. "Am I having a short-cthircuit?! Why am I not-?!"
"DUCK! YOUR HANDS!" Rev squawked in alarm, noticing two rather large Power Eggs having materialized in Duck's hands.
Duck yelped and jumped onto the floor, hands first. The orbs soon dissipated, leaving two scorch marks on the tile floor…and one scared and confused duck whose situation finally hit him like a boot to the beak. He couldn't Quack and he nearly lost control of his Power Eggs because he couldn't concentrate; he doubted himself. Tech had warned him and Rev that their powers wouldn't work right if they didn't focus, and not focusing was exactly what happened to them.
Duck began to weep; he had failed Mrs. Brisby. Once again, Danger Duck had screwed up, just like he had always done, he thought. Otto the Odd had been right; he was the greatest screw-up of all time. And now it had cost him dearly.
Through his sobs, Duck apologized to Mrs. Brisby for failing her and the children. He apologized to Rev and his currently-not-present teammates for being such a jerk. He even apologized to Angel for not being there for her, even though the circumstances then had been beyond his control.
Mrs. Brisby stepped toward Duck and embraced him, starting to cry a bit herself. She tried to keep her feelings of blame towards the two birds down, but she couldn't help but think them. If these two had kept their focus, she would be on her way back to her children by now to help them through the moving process. Now, it was in all likeliness that she would never see them again. But she knew that these two weren't entirely to blame; maybe if she had helped them a little, moved a little faster, maybe.
Rev sank to his knees, also starting to tear up. Once again, he had been useless; just like when he had lost his speed. And just like when the Darkness claimed Rip before his eyes. And not just five minutes ago, he nearly killed himself. Useless, useless, useless! Stupid Super Speed making everything inside him go faster! Tech and Rip would never have panicked! But they weren't here now; Tech was likely back with Justin and the others, while Rip was gone forever.
The widowed field mouse, the anthro duck, and the anthro roadrunner were in such a morose state that they barely noticed as young Billy Fitzgibbons returned with a flat piece of cardboard, slid it under the three, and carried them to what would look like their new home.
Meanwhile, as the events with Mrs. Brisby, Duck, and Rev were occurring, there was a debate going on below the floor as Justin began to exit the house with Calamity and the other Loonatics behind him.
"Leeahhblagargh Not leave! Grahbleeaghga Go help!" Slam growled in protest.
'Slam's right!' Calamity agreed, the Stone still hanging around his neck. 'We should go back for them!'
"It's too risky," Justin argued. "We'll have to come back for them later."
'But something must've happened!' Calamity argued back. 'We gotta go back!'
"Not while there are humans around," Justin told the impatient gray coyote.
'I'm not gonna leave 'em there!' Calamity shouted, about to turn around and go back. Unfortunately, he was grabbed by Tech. 'Let go!' he protested.
"You're not running off on your own again," Tech warned the struggling, smaller coyote.
'You're not gonna leave Rev there!' Calamity shouted, worried about what could be happening to his other big brother figure.
"I'm worried about Rev, too; you know it's true," Tech said, his eyes glistening a little. "But we can't rush in there without a coherent plan."
"'Sides, there's something else we gotta think about," Ace spoke up.
Thunder rolled as rain started to come down.
"We need to get to the Brisby house so we can move it," Ace continued, glancing at the sky. "Conditions won't be spectacular, and, despite Dragon being drugged, it's now a now-or-never situation."
"Ace is right," Justin agreed. "I don't like the idea of leaving them behind, either, but we have a job to do."
And Nicodemus is still in danger from Jenner, Lexi thought. "We…should get back as soon as possible," the female rabbit said aloud. "'Sides, Duck and Rev are pretty clever guys in their own way; they'll get out…eventually," she added to herself.
Slam grunted unsurely, but he soon gave in.
Tech also nodded.
Calamity, however, wouldn't let the matter rest without a fight. 'But who knows if they will? And what about when the powder wears off? Dragon'll get them for sure! We gotta go back for them now! We can split up; half of us help with the moving while half of us go and-'
"It's too dangerous right now," Tech told Calamity, cutting him off.
'But-'
"Calamity Coyote, STOP IT THIS INSTANT!" Tech yelled, startling everyone a bit. "You've nearly gotten yourself killed once already! If you so much as disobey me again, so help me, you will be very sorry you ever did!"
The gray, young desert canid ceased struggling and blocked himself from the others to prevent his now-angry thoughts from being read. He kept his gaze on the ground, not wanting to look at anyone at the moment.
"Cal, we know you're upset; we're all worried about Rev, Duck and Mrs. B," Ace spoke gently to the despondent little coyote after a moment. "But Tech's right: We can't just rush in while the humans and Dragon are about, even if da big feline is drugged. Lexi's right, too: Rev and Duck'll find a way out. Dey've done it before," he continued, thinking back to the earliest moments of the Acmegeddon incident. "You believe dey can, don't ya?"
Calamity nodded, not saying anything vocally or telepathically, having practically shut down.
"We'd better get moving before the rain gets any worse, or we get spotted," Justin told the quintet before leaving.
Ace nodded, following after, Slam and Lexi close behind. Tech took Calamity's hand and they followed. Talk soon turned to how each could best help in the process of moving the Brisby house, like Slam taking on some of the heavy lifting, Ace helping with direction, etc. In the midst of the conversation, no-one noticed a false presence being put into their minds and its cause slipping away back to the farmhouse.
Calamity knew that Duck and Rev could find a way to escape; they weren't helpless. But he had been able to see into their thoughts a moment ago, and what he saw was more debilitating than any physical injury. The two youngest Loonatics had lost courage and faith in themselves, rendering themselves as powerless as if they had been hit by Curium 247, the only element that could take away the Loonatics' powers for good. Mrs. Brisby had lost hope as well. Someone had to get in there and bring their confidence back…even if it meant having to disobey his surrogate older brother.
'Forgive me, big brother…' Calamity said to himself as he took a readying breath, then went back inside.
Unnoticed by him, the Stone seemed to glow a bit in the dark.
And…done! Well, I said in the previous chapter that something was gonna go wrong and oh, boy did things go wrong! It appears that the Loonatcs don't have as much of a firm hand on their powers as they used to back when they lived on Acmetropolis before the Darkness hit, which results in near-dire consequences for Rev and in Duck losing every bit of spirit he had. Now he, Mrs. Brisby, and an equally-depressed Rev seem to have become the new pets of Billy Fitzgibbons.
Meanwhile, Justin, Calamity and the rest of the Loonatics debate whether to go back for them or not, but the verdict ends up being 'later', which upsets Calamity immensely. So, as the others head off to help in the moving of the cement block, the young psychic coyote decides to go rescue the trapped trio on his own…despite being told that there would be consequences if he disobeyed Tech again. Oh dearie me.
Well, let's get off that and onto some trivia, then the questions. First off, if you want to find out just what Curium 247 is, then watch the "Loonatics Unleashed" episode "In the Pinkster", which will also tell you about Duck and Pinkster's history, as well as provide a surprising dash of generational karma. If you know the Looney Tunes, then you'll know what I mean when you watch that episode; trust me. Also, you can find that moment where Otto the Odd calls Danger Duck "the greatest screw-up of all time" in the episode "The Hunter".
Also, while glancing around at some posts that had LU fanart and fanfics, I stumbled upon one that had some people listing the ages of the Loonatics themselves, so I soon got it into my head to do the same thing. Here they are as of this adventure, oldest to youngest along with their birth dates:
Slam: 28 (May 20, 2747)
Tech: 24 (October 25, 2750)
Lexi: 24 (June 10, 2751)
Ace: 23 (May 1, 2752)
Duck: 22 (January 3, 2753)
Rev: 21 (March 11, 2754)
A little note, since I wrote this out in July of 2020, that's when I figure the Loonatics and Calamity go on this adventure, and that's why Tech and Lexi are currently the same age.
Now, the questions:
If you were going with Duck, Mrs. Brisby, and Rev to drug Dragon, how would you be feeling?
What would your reaction be to seeing Rev hand down his shirt along with Duck's shirt and jacket?
What encouragements would you be giving Rev, Duck, and Mrs. Brisby as they start to panic?
What would be going through your head as you, Rev, Duck, and Mrs. Brisby dash towards Dragon's bowl, try to make it back, then get caught or disappear with Duck?
What would your reaction be to hearing that Rev and Mrs. Brisby got caught by Billy Fitzgibbons? When Duck Quacks out to attempt to rescue them?
What would you do to try to help Rev or what would your reaction be to seeing him like that and what Duck does to snap him out of his state?
What would you try doing to get Rev, Duck, and Mrs. Brisby out of the colander?
If you were back with Justin, Calamity, and the other Loonatics, what would you decide to do; go back and help the trapped trio, or leave to avoid being caught as well as needing to be helping in the move of the Brisby home?
In that same vein, what argument would you make to the others?
What do you think of Calamity's decision to go back and rescue Duck, Mrs. Brisby, and Rev on his own? Would you go help him or try to convince him not to do so?
And…that's it for right now. Can't wait to hear your responses in the comments!
Next time, the move of the Brisby home begins, but will it be successful? Will Jenner's plan be successful? Will Calamity be able to rescue Duck, Mrs. Brisby, and Rev, and will those three be able to get their confidence back? Well…I can tell you someone will, but it'll surprise you.
Anyway, please read and review. Thank you.
