"Goooooood morning all you crazy cats from Zuzu city and Stardew valley! It's gonna be a beautiful scorcher to-..." *slam* "Shut the fuck up." Shane grumbled while throwing his radio clock. The only good thing about summer is the specialty beers that get released. Shane's head was spinning, the room was too bright for his eyes. He felt nauseous, just another Monday.
"Hahaha Marnie you never fail to make me laugh. Oh by the way you're about to get a new neighbor." Mayor Lewis beamed. "Oh yeah, someone's finally taken an interest in Ralphie's old farm?" Marnie inquired. "Not just anyone, Ralph's granddaughter, she called me up about an hour ago. Said she needs to get away from the city and that her grandfather left his farm to her in his will. No wonder I couldn't find that blasted deed. She'll be here Friday, Kiera's her name I believe." Lewis finished excitedly. "Oh Lewis, you're not going to let that poor girl move into that decrepit farm, are you? You and I both know that Ralph let that place go in his final months."Marnie asked worriedly. Lewis smiled "Don't you worry, my sweet Marnie, I already asked Robin to give her a discount on her house to be upgraded." Marnie sighed "I guess that'll have to do for now."
Creak* Shane's door squawked open, far too loudly to his liking. "Morning Shane, beautiful day today, isn't it?" Mayor Lewis asked, delighted to see him. "...Sure..." Shane mumbled, not delighted to see mayor Lewis leaning on Marnie's counter. Get the hell out of here Lewis. Just because you're tearing up the sheets with Marnie doesn't mean you get to act all buddy buddy with me. Shane wandered into the kitchen pouring himself a cup of coffee. Burnt coffee that is. Great, this day is already taking too long to get over with. "Shane, Shane, Shane!" Jas excitedly called out to her godfather. My aching head. "Yes Jas? How may I help you today?" Shane asked, trying his best to not sound irritated. "Didja hear!? Didja Hear!? A new farmer's moving in, and it's a girl, and she's going to raise cows and chickens, and be my best friend!" Jas excitedly answered, barely taking a breath. Shane sipped his burnt coffee "...Is that so?" He asked, a small smile forming on his lips. "Yep, I'm preeeeeetty excited about it." Jas replied before skipping off to see Marnie and Lewis. Shane laughed. Cute. She's a spitting image of her mother. An ache formed around his heart after that thought. Nope, too early to get lost in those memories. Shane pushed his thoughts down, finished his burnt coffee, and worked his way toward the door. "I'm off." Shane said toward Marnie, walking out before she or Lewis could reply.
Ugh Joja Mart. The only place in town that's hiring, and the only place in town that's destroying the valley at the same time. "Shane, your late...again." Morris said almost timidly. "My bad, I was so excited to come in today I passed out on my way here..."Shane replied sarcastically. Already annoyed with this day. "Oh, um, yes...please try not to have it happen again..." Morris squeaked, trying to hide inside himself. "You got it boss." Shane said dryly, walking towards the cooler. Shane slammed open the cooler to find Sam sitting on a stack of crates with an open beer in his hand. "That thirty pack broke open, so I decided it needed to be taken care of." He explained nonchalantly. Shane grabbed a beer from the thirty pack and sat down on a stack of crates next to Sam. "What a tragedy, let me help you there." Shane replied. This day just got a whole lot better...
