Throughout our journey through life, a Jedi, or anyone else,
will discover that many of life's truths, will depend greatly upon
one's own point of view.

For example, many centuries ago, a very wise Togruta Jedi Master
named Jora Malli challenged all of her padawan learners with a riddle.
"Why can you not cross the Kyber Arch by yourself" she would ask them?

Some would answer, that an individual cannot cross alone, as one is never
truly alone, as long as you have loved ones. They, in spirit, are always with you.
Others would point out, that while you may have loved ones, who will be there
to help along your journey, you alone must take the journey; they cannot take it
for you.

While both answers are correct, they are also both wrong. Again, it comes down
to how an individual views their own place in life. For many of the problems we
will face, there is no one correct solution, but many possible answers.

Master Yoda often says "Do...or do not. There is no try" While this may be true for
one person, another person may reply "It is not possible to do, unless you try"
Both replies are correct, depending upon how you view things.

While I was a young padawan learner under Master Qui-Gonn Jinn, on occasion
I felt as if I was, somehow, letting him down; that I wasn't the padawan that he
deserved. And yet Master Qui-Gonn considered me to an excellent padawan.

After he found someone he considered to be the "Chosen One", a young boy
found on Tatooine named Anakin Skywalker, I challenged him about his position
regarding Anakin. He was certain that young Anakin was the prophesied Chosen One.
However, I agreed with the council. Not only was this child too old to begin training in
the Jedi arts according to the Jedi Code; but the council sensed that there was a
disturbance in the force surrounding Anakin.

Later, when I apologized to Master Qui-Gonn for publicly opposing him, I found out
that he both respected and even understood my position. Later, I came to respect
and understand his position. On Naboo, before Master Qui-Gonn died in my arms,
I promised to continue his work, and teach young Anakin the Jedi arts.

I'm glad that I did. I sense that he will become a great and powerful Jedi Master
someday. And like Master Qui-Gonn, I believe that Anakin will finally put an end
to the sith, and bring much-needed balance to the force.
