Here is the rework of my original first story. I looked at it and wanted to fix it a little. I will be keeping it a memento of sorts. All in all I hope you enjoy and leave feedback.

Pokemon Go: Hidden Truth.

In the world of Pokemon Go, there are three teams that stand tall. Each one has a core belief. Valor cultivating the strength to overcome all. Mystic, that knowledge can solve every situation. Instinct, that man and pokemon are friends and those bonds bring true strength. These three keep watch, battling the forces of evil. But beware the shadows grow in strength.

Chapter 1:

'Ugh. It hurts, please stop. Stop! A youthful voice cried. Tears falling heavily with their lip trembling but the thing that stood out the most. Was the pure unadulterated fear in their eyes, as they backed into a wall. All hope of escape cut off as two shadowy figures approached them.

"No!" Spark yelled, skin pale and drenched with sweat. Heart pounding miles a minute and his lungs burning at the lack of air. The bed shifted as a weight settled into his lap.

Glancing down, Spark saw his starter, a Joltean he called Zapper. Staring up at him in concern, letting out a low whine. While butting her head softly against his chest in a sign of comfort.

"I'm fine, Zap, just a nightmare," Spark responded with a hoarse voice. She didn't buy it taking a deep breath he eased Zap to the side before stumbling towards the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, he noticed his bloodshot eyes. Unable to go back to sleep, he started his usual morning schedule.

Fifteen minutes later he stepped out, looking better. His skin had regained some color, the redness in his eyes going down. Taking another five, he got dressed in a yellow undershirt with a black jacket unzipped over it. With black baggy pants and steel-toed boots and a yellow watch strapped to his left wrist to complete his look.

He stepped out of his room and made his way towards the kitchen. Planning to prepare a decent breakfast for his roommates. His roommates were Candella, leader of team valor, and Blanche, leader of the team mystic. While small, the apartment had enough room for the trio. Entering the kitchen area, he flipped the lights and started prepping for the meal.

'No doubt their passed out much like a Snorlax on a summer day,' he snorted, shifting his attention back to the ingredients. Today was to be a special day, so he decided on his famous poke puff pancakes. A little dish he made for both humans and pokemon to enjoy.

"Jol~" she yipped, smelling the food. Earning a chuckle from him, as she was crazy for his pancakes.

"If you 're good I'll add an extra puff or two," he said, earning a small dance from her.

His thoughts shifted to his two team leaders. He'd meet Candela at a young age at his uncle's ranch, both becoming fast friends. Candela was hotheaded, but in battle she shined, calming her emotions. Using various frontal attacks, she made her mark. Becoming a celebrity in the battle circuit before accepting the job as leader of valor. She was also loyal and honest to a fault. You couldn't ask for a better friend to have your back.

Next was Blanche, a cold but friendly person. Once you bypassed her bland way of speaking to people. He'd meet her through his uncle. She became one of the top researchers in the region in mon evolution and adaptability. She was a kind person who would offer advice to those in need. It had taken a good amount of effort, but he'd broke her from her shell, becoming more sociable.

A moment later he heard a door slam signaling the awakening of his roomies. Candela shuffled in first, looking dead on her feet. Blanche soon followed behind, sporting some dark bags under her eyes. He quickly placed a coffee in front of them from the pot he'd started earlier. Earning a silent thanks from the two.

"Yikes, you two look like you ran afoul of a Tauros pack," he quipped with a cheeky grin. Quickly surrendering when they shot an icy glare his way. "I'm sorry," he whined, hiding behind the counter, making them nod in victory.

"I was finishing my speech for the presentation later. Candela was finishing up her backlog of paperwork, she ignored" Blan said nursing her coffee.

"Don't remind me. I had better things to do. I didn't know it would pile up so quickly," she whined, shedding crocodile tears. Making both him and Blan shake their heads at her antics.

"You mean collecting plushies for your collection," Blan teased. Giggling at her face of embarrassment.

"Like you have room to talk. At least I don't collect mugs in my room," Candela retorted, throwing her under the bus.

"Blan, what did I tell you, it makes it harder for me to clean them if you don't leave them here," he chided. Sending her a small disappointed look. With her muttering an apology, before glaring at Candela, who stuck her tongue out.

"You have no ground to talk either Candy. Considering how many times I've had to put away your exercise equipment. Now apologize or no breakfast for you," he said, shifting his disappointed look her way.

. "Yes, mom~" Candy replied before offering a quick apology to the other girl. "Anyway, you ready for the event, Spark? she inquired.

"Not really one for speeches, but yeah. Should get their attention, just like last year," he replied a unsettling grin

Both girls instantly remembered last year's speech. Spark had brought a Voltorb making it use self-destruct as his "opening fireworks". It took forever to get the soot out of the auditorium. Not to mention the lecturing they got from professor Willow.

"Right… I was talking about the selection. Last year you were a little broken up at the lack of new trainers in Instinct," Candela said with a soft gaze. Taking one of his hands and squeezing gently with Blan backing her up.

"I'm fine, really, you two. Did I get a little emotional last year? Yes, but I understood people just prefer Valor and Mystic more," he replied with a shrug, focusing on the food.

Both of the girls shared a look, not fully believing him. Though neither of them challenged him on the matter. Soon the pancakes finished cooking and they eat in silence. After finishing their meal, both girls said their goodbyes as they left for work. Spark collected the plates and placed them in the sink for later. Turning, he saw a hilarious sight of jolt covered in syrup.

"What am I going to do with you?" he said with a chuckle, earning a cut head tilt from Jol.

He finally left the apartment an hour later after fighting Jolt into the bath. She refused to get close to any kind of water. So he stronger armed her into it with promises of treats later.

'Honestly, I spoil her' Spark sighed as he walked the path to his team. He gazed at the wild Pokemon he saw on his way. Stopping to help an oddish who got stuck in a small ditch.

Finally arriving at the lab, he stepped in the door to hear the panic and crash. 'Heh. Another exciting day at Instinct' He chuckled before stepping into the building to see what fun today had.

Chapter end.

I wonder what new mess Spark has found himself in this time. Tune in next to see.
