HEY GUYS! I'M BACK!
Special thanks to: SailorCandy, MissMisfitLovesOHSHC, PineappleLover.
Guest: It's ok to be behind on chapters! School gets like that, and it's ok. Just as long as you do well in school. Don't worry, this will be here when you get back!
SailorCandy: God that power would be useful on tests! And being like Haruhi would be amazing! Am I foreshadowing? We shall have to wait and find out my dear friend! Just wait and see!
Manglelove: Night magic would be pretty cool! And that cool that it works differently, magic is different to different people!
…
Georgia P.O.V
These girls were everywhere. The ones who were obsessed with the Zuka Club. It reminded me of the Host Club fan club, and their reactions whenever they walked the halls.
Ok, it's time to find Haruhi.
My eyes flash white, picking up the magical trail in the air, to which there were none.
I sigh, "Bloody hell."
Looks like I'm wandering around the hall for any sort of trace of her. This place is just as confusing as Ouran is with an almost endless maze of halls with overly decorated walls.
"Where's your club shirt?" I stopped in my track, hearing a squeaky voice enter my ears.
I turn around, looking at the girl with short dark brown hair and glasses, wearing a pink shirt with 'Benibara' written across the chest. The look in her eyes was sinister, and it's seriously all over me not wearing a shirt.
"I forgot it?" was my first reaction, so I guess I'm going to roll with it. "I was so excited to come here today that I completely forgot to put it on."
It was just like a switch flipped in her brain. Her eyes lit up and the smile just spread across her face like wildfire. "No worries! I've got some here at school! In the costume room!" She took hold of my hand and lead me down the hallway.
"So are you excited for the play?"
My answer was a bit slow, "Yeah, the play."
"Though, I'm a bit worried about the new casting." She says.
I sighed, "A new casting?"
"Yeah, look." She takes a sharp turn and we stop in front of a studio door. There were girls dancing about, and there was singing. There were really prepping for a musical. "The girl who was supposed to play Maryanne had apparently came down with a cold." She said, before pulling me down to her level, "But there's a rumour going around that the girl threw herself down the stairs because Benio had another person in mind for the roll."
"Oh god…" I mutter, "I would not be surprised."
"There she is! With Benio!" She points out, over in the corner of the room. And there she was, my little baby standing next to that phsychobitch.
I was about to walk into that room, but this girl pulled me to the side before I caught any of their attention, or before I could get my baby out of there. "Sorry darl, but I can't let you in there. I'm one of the heads of security, and it's a miracle I let you in this far. But you seem nice, so I'll just let you borrow this shirt."
She threw a shirt at me with, which I caught it with easy. "Well, it's a bit big."
"Sorry, but everyone else took the smaller sizes." She shrugged.
Ok, so I need a way to get in there. If Benio sees me coming, she's either going to welcome me with open arms and be glad that I accepted her offer…or…she'll throw me in some sort of prison for betraying her and Lobelia. Even though technically, I never accepted it in the first place. She did say she would keep trying.
"Now, I'm going to put you with the others. So come along." She said pulling me out of the room and back down the hallway.
"Miki." A smooth voice entered out ears, "This fair maiden is a guest of mine." It was Benio. Standing outside of the studio door, hand outstretched. "We welcome her in."
Miki was almost trying to hide her small blush, "Yes Benio." Before she left us.
This was going to be easier than I thought.
She welcomed me into the studio. "Ladies, this is the other fair maiden I told you about. Looking at her file, I think it's quite clear that she belongs here."
Haruhi was surprised to see me, "Georgia?"
I gave her a small wave. "Hey Haruhi."
"I'm sure she'll give us all the help we'll need to make this show perfect."
I walked over to Haruhi and give her a hello hug, "I'm going to get you out of here." I whisper and she just looks at me confused.
"What?" She whispers back before Hinagiku pulls me over to the other side of the room, to where the dancers where.
"Here! Learn with these guys!" She says pushing me into a bunch of ballerinas.
I turned back to her, "But I've never done ballet!" I tell her but she shrugs.
"I'm sure you'll be fine!" She says before running back over to the Haruhi and Benibara.
…
Half an hour later and I had learnt the dance, but I had still to find a way to sneak Haruhi out of here. I think I'm just going to have to sneak her out the front door…somehow.
"Break time girls." The dance instructor claps her hands and we all take a water break.
"Here," One of the girls hands me a water bottle, "I know you didn't bring one."
I struggled not to roll me eyes, "Thanks."
"No one at Ouran is ever prepared." She smirked, before drinking her water. "Especially that host club."
"That's not true. We're very organised." I argue back, small glare in my eyes.
She laughed, "Please, that host club could never hold something as extravagant as this.
"I'm sure we could, we just never had the chance to do something like this." I defend, before drinking the water.
She cackled at me, "I'm sure."
I walk over to Haruhi, who also seemed to be on a break. I signal for her to come over here, and she meets me half way. "Haruhi," I whisper, "I want you to meet me outside the door in twenty minutes." I say and she gives me a curious nod.
"What? Why?"
I look from side to side, taking note of Benibara and her two little followers chatting with that girl who just quarrelled with me earlier joining them. "Look, I'm going to get you out of here."
"Georgia, that's the second time you've said that but I don't understand what you're talking about."
I straightened with surprise, hearing that she didn't understand what I was saying. "I'll talk to you about it outside," I say quickly noticing that Benibara was stalking our way.
"My fair maiden, we'll rehearse our scene again." Benibara indicates for her to come back, so I sit up against the wall, watching Haruhi's blank face as Benibara falls to the ground dramatically being shot by a bullet.
"Oh! My Lord Frederick!" Haruhi stiffly says, walking to Benibara's side like a robot.
Benibara's voice was deep, trying to be male…"I'm slain by this fatal gunshot wound. Alas, I'm to draw breath no more,"…but really overdramatic. Typical.
"My Lord Frederick." I roll my eyes, hearing Haruhi's tone, and sigh as Benibara spoke again.
"Marianne, with your arm holding me close, all this pain becomes not. I am overwhelmed with peace. Lovely angel, your gaze is my paradise and you are the very image of my beloved mother."
I laughed a little at the dramatics of it all, but it was hard to keep it quiet when Haruhi started letting her mind wander, "This guy us sure to talk a lot when someone us supposed to by dying, I wonder how long he can hold out, I think there be time to get a doctor or something."
My hand was over my mouth, but it didn't really make a difference. The death glare I got from that dance chick was almost as bad as Kyoya's, but nothing can top the shadow king's death glare. Nothing.
The music started up and some of the other dancers came on stage behind them. Then Haruhi began to lip-sync the song. Don't get me wrong, she still looks incredibly stiff and she's pretty much moving her mouth like a fish, but it's still a lot better than it was before.
But this was still frigging hilarious. I don't think anyone in that room was happy with me being like this, but no one said I wasn't allowed to laugh at it. Well, I guess it's implied, but when one of your best friends is doing something stupid, you can either laugh or support. Or in my case, one then the other.
Well, I stopped laughing when the music stopped. In my confusion I looked at the music player and saw that Hinagiku's foot was caught in the lead. Haruhi took a while to stop acting like a fish though.
"Oh I'm sorry!" Hinagiku apologised, rubbing the back of her neck, "my foot got tangled in the chord!"
Suzuran came to help her, taking the chord from around her foot and plugging it back in, "Be careful."
After the scene was over, no one came near me, except for Haruhi. "How was that?" She said with a small grimace on her face.
I shook my head with a laugh, "You're getting better. I'm proud of you."
"I'm just not used to it. Music was never my strong point." She shrugged, having a gulp of water from the water bottle.
I nod, placing a hand on her shoulder, "Oh I know darling."
…
I was pacing up and back and forth, waiting for Haruhi to come and meet me. But do I want to get her out of this? She seems so focused on performing for these people, she's even improving her performance slowly. So maybe, just maybe by the end of this all, she'll actually be good?
I have a feeling it was something to do with Benibara. I overheard the girls talking about how Benibara wanted to be like here mother and I think it just got to Haruhi.
Maybe I shouldn't take her away from this?
"Ah, Maiden," Benibara caught my attention, smiling at me, "Care to help me get something out of the costume room?"
I straightened, look at her, "Um, sure."
It's not going to take that long right? Plus, Haruhi is probably rehearing what limited lines she has.
"Just in here." She says opening a door to the room where Miki had taken me before. "You know, one of our very own ladies had this room specially designed."
Boxes of Benibara support shirts packed into this room. This looks more like a storage closet than anything, there were just old costumes which look like they haven't been used for a while.
I look back at her over my shoulder, confused as to what she meant, "What do you mean?"
I saw her smirk, before I felt her shove me in the back, making me fall over a bunch of boxes.
"She means to trap vermin like you that wander in off the street."
I know what voice.
My head snaps to the source, and I take in that all too familiar appearance. The blonde hair cascading down her shoulder in a neat braid, the diamond earrings, fancy bracelets, black bow in her hair. Not to forget those icy blue eyes.
I snarl at the girl, "Miwako Kazuri." That name was like poison in my mouth.
She seemed so satisfied with how I said her name, smiling at me almost innocently. "Hello there Georgia, or should I call you Yuki?" She put a finger to her chin, "Or did you come up with a new name to fool these maidens?"
With a growl, I managed to launch myself, but I slammed into an iron cage. "What the?" I mutter, grabbing hold of the iron bars, "What the hell is this?" These bars hardly moved as I tried to rattle them.
"Like it? My parents run a home protection company, so it was easy to set this up." Miwako gloated, walking up to me, a smirk plastered on her face, but stood far enough back so I couldn't reach her. Clever.
I try to rattle the cage some more, "Let me out."
Benibara's expression didn't change, "We can't have a traitor running around ruining my plans. Even if she is a rose among swine." Benibara flicked some hair from her face.
"Oh Benio, you don't want this commoner in your ranks." Miwako folded her arms, "Besides, you have me now. After coming back from Tour with the Hittachin fashion brand, I transferred here. I was so much more useful here than over at Ouran. I didn't realise how awful that loser host club was.
I needed something with a little more flare."
I rolled my eyes, "Explains the hideous uniform you're wearing."
"Benio, you should go look after your special guest. I'll join you shortly." She says, a sweet look in her eyes, as Benibara leaves she turns back to me, a mischievous glare in her eyes. "Oh I'm so glad you're in here. This is payback for that masquerade ball."
I raise an eyebrow, "Seriously?"
"I don't want you interfering with my plans for Hikaru."
My stomach dropped at the mention of his name, "Hikaru? What's he got to do with anything? You just said that you didn't want anything to do with the Host Club?"
"My parents made me transfer. They thought it was spending too much time with the Host Club." She shrugged, "But I really missed my twins, Hikaru especially."
My eyebrow arched, "Why?"
"He's mine. I love him and he loves me." She grinned like a mad woman, "And I don't need you getting in the way."
Is she crazy? "I'm not after Hikaru!" the glare in my eyes meant I was serious, "And I still stand by that he's not an object. You can't own him."
My eyes caught the glint of silver in her hand as she dangled the remote in front of me, "Watch me."
With the flick of her perfectly manicured nail, she flicked a switch and the door shut. A click made me know that it was locked.
"MIWAKO!" I roar, banging on the door. "Bloody hell."
I start sounding like an animal, growling as a turn away from the door. The only source of light above me, which I'm glad would still be there. Not to mention the security camera sitting in the corner of the room. The glint from the flashing red light on the side seemed to taunt me, like it laughed at me.
So, now I'm trapped in a storage room, with no way of helping Haruhi and I'm being watched like a hawk. I sigh, sitting on one of the boxes, thinking of my way out.
You know what, first thing is first. I sat up, grabbing out a tee-shirt form the box and putting it over the camera so I couldn't be seen. But knowing this place, and how crazy they are with their money.
With a glowing purple hand, I began to create a small electrical cloud around the outside of the shirt, before clicking to make it invisible. That's why I love about Night Magic, it's full of illusions.
I walked back up to the bars, feeling the cold metal beneath my fingertips. "How should I do this?" I mumble to myself.
My first instinct is to melt the bars with my bare hands, but I probably shouldn't do that. What happens if someone comes back to check and they find melted metal over the place? Then I'd have another problem on my hands and I don't feel like dealing with it.
I look along the bars, there was no lock on the bars themselves. So I can't pick the bars out. The bars came down from the ceiling from small holes. There was no way to be getting them to retract. I doubt I thought I could stick a bobby pin through there to get them back.
Ok, so fire magic is out, wind will do nothing, Earth won't help here. Day and Night shouldn't be able to get me through, these gates. Then what's left…ice and water. I mean, I could try rusting the metal there, but I'm not sure what kind of metal they used. For a high tech security system, I doubt it could be rusted. Ice? Metal becomes easier to break when in the cold?
I sigh, shaking my head.
You know what guys? I'm just going to use Fire magic. I don't have time to sit around here and do nothing while my friends are out there needing help.
I placed my hands on the bars, and they began to glow red. I felt my magic heat up my hands as the metal began to get really hot in the spots where my hands were. "Ok, just a little more." I tried to pull the two bars in front of the door apart, but it was harder than I thought.
"It's not iron. Might be steel." I bit my lip, looking that there was hardly a dent in the metal. "Well, one more try."
This time, my hands glowed brighter than I did before, and I gave it another go. "Come…on…" I growl, but I heard shouting coming from the outside, before a click and I took a step back.
It all happened so quickly. My magic disappeared as fast as I could, the door swung open. I couldn't get out of the way, as something was thrown at me. Actually, it was someone.
"Shit!" I heard her growl, before she spun around with super human speed, "I'll kick your asses." Like an animal, she launched herself across the room like I did, only to be stopped by the bars.
Through the door, I could see these mafia looking girls, who all looked a little beaten up, but here were about six of them with minor injuries. They shut the door behind them.
"GET BACK HERE AND FIGHT ME YOU COWARDS!" She rattled the bars like a crazy person, and I'm sure they were about to be snapped in half because of it.
I raised an eyebrow, looking at the girl with worry, "Niko? Are you ok?"
She snapped to head to me, almost like a demon. But the look in those green eyes made me take a step backwards. "Never been better." She said with a snarl. "Those assholes ambushed me, and we all got in a fight. I was just about to break into the music room too and snatch Haruhi."
Niko slammed her fist into the wall, and stood up from one of the boxes. "Benibara shoved me in here with the help of an old enemy of mine."
"You have actual enemies?" She seemed taken back by my statement. "Seriously?"
"What? Doesn't everyone?"
"Look kid, I have enemies, you have people who don't like you. Big difference." She started looking the room, nodding at the shirt that had hung on the security camera.
I took a step forward, "Niko what's your problem? You act like you're the only one dealing with stuff in the world."
Before I could blink she was at my face, her fist wrapped in my shirt, "You have no idea what I'm going through."
I glare back into her eyes, "You have no clue what I'm going through either." My hands gripped onto her wrist, "You know we can help each other right?"
She pushed me back into wall, "No one can help me. So drop it."
I don't know how to describe what I saw in those eyes. They were almost unreadable. You would have no idea as to what she was going to do next. Honestly she might even rip out my throat.
She looked me up and down, "So, while you're trapped in here, you decided to put on one of those shirts?"
I glare at her. Oh she has no idea how many enemies I have back on Asteria. But then everything registered when I looked down at the baggy pink shirt on my body. "Ew." And it was off in a flash. "Don't ask."
Niko looked at the slightly bend bars, raising an eyebrow, "Did you do this?"
"Yep."
I think I maybe have impressed her. "Nice work kid." She placed her hands where mine were before. It was almost effortless, and I watched in awe as Niko pushed those bars apart. There were no grunts or anything. She just kinda…pushed them apart.
I stood there, with my mouth open, gaping at the girl. There's no way she can be that strong naturally. I am one hundred percent convinced that that isn't possible.
"Thanks for warming it up for me."
Every muscle in my body froze, hearing those words. "What?" I stammer out, looking at the bars. "Warming it up?"
"That's what I said. Are you special?" She turns back to the door before kicking her foot at it. The door went flying off its hinges.
I stood there, gobsmacked.
Niko gestures her arm to the door with a smirk, "Ladies first."
"Whatever." I mumble walking out the door, trying not to gape at the door which lay three metres away from the door. "We need to get to Haruhi."
As if on cue, we both took off sprinting. "I hope we're not too late."
The forest was almost quiet as the three of them stalked through it. No one could bring themselves to say anything to one another, not after what had just happened.
Ghost walked ahead of the group, as if he was marching his way back. He felt he needed to be back as fast as he could. Who knows what kind of chaos is happening back at camp. He did tell them they'd return a lot earlier than they had actually come.
Che' and Nic walked in step with one another, with Nic noticing that Che's pace was drastically dropping. Something was wrong.
"I'm fine," She says quietly as if reading his thoughts.
Nic shook his head, "Yo James. I think we need to stop and make camp."
Ghost marched forward a few more steps, before turning on his heel to the other two, "We don't have time to stop. I need to get back or I'm going to run out of time to keep everyone safe."
Nic stood for a second, watching as Che' kept moving past him. On her second step, her knee buckled, and he was only just fast enough to catch her. "Che'!" He called, and worry washed over the two boys.
With a shaky hand Che' tried to stand herself up, "I'm just feeling a bit weak." But she could hardly put strength in her legs to stand up. She was even struggling to keep her eyes open.
"Think about Che'. By forcing her to walk the rest of the way back you're not protecting her! You're making things worse!" Nic roared up at Ghost, knowing full well that he's crossing the line between superior and inferior.
Ghost seemed taken back, feeling his hands ball into fists. Nic was right, Che' did need rest but he could feel that the longer he was away, the more damage would become of them. He needed to be there to protect them…but what goo was he if he couldn't protect those who were right next to him. Time was running out.
There was so much power in one movement. With a second, his fist collided with the wood of a nearby tree. He was angry to say the least, pondering over the action that they should take. But time was still running out.
With heavy footsteps, Ghost walked up to Nic, almost ignoring the girl curled up in the boys arms. "If she can't walk," Ghost had a serious look in his eye, "We'll carry her."
Nic almost had the girl ripped from his arms. Ghost lifted her with a strength that Nic didn't even know that Ghost had. Che's head rolled into Ghosts chest, and Nic just watched on as Ghost walked away.
The Water Enchanted stood, crossing his arms mumbling to himself, "I'm tired too, but you're not carrying me." He huffed, but then followed along, knowing that this was all for the best.
