"That's everything," Iris said as she tightened her pack on the back of Enigma's saddle. She leaned against it when it began to move. "Thanks for letting us stay an extra day. It was fun practicing with all of you."

"It's the least we could do," Astrid said. "You guys did so much."

"I don't know how anyone could view practice as payment," Snotlout grumbled.

"When you don't have any experienced Riders besides one to practice maneuvers with you enjoy practicing with other people," Iris said drily. "Don't you have some shiny rock to be preening yourself at?"

"Ouch," Dagur laughed. "That's my wife!"

"Thanks again," Hiccup said as they all ignored a grumbling Snotlout. "It meant a lot being able to come back to a safe home and not have a fleet of enemies waiting for us."

"Don't forget having someone feeding us the minute we land," Ruffnut added. "That was the best."

"It's no problem," Iris said. "Stop by and visit us when you have a chance to breathe. Leave Snotlout to watch the Edge."

"Sounds like a plan," Astrid snickered.

"Hey!"

"Shove it Snothat," Dagur said brightly. "Brother, we'll see you again. Iris, you ready to head home?"

"Of course." She got on Enigma. "Let's go!"

Both dragons bounded towards the cliff and leaped off. An updraft trapped itself under their wings and helped lift them into the air. Behind them the Riders shouted good bye while their dragons roared their farewells. A black snout wiggled its way out to give a peep.

"Shush," Iris said quickly. "Get back in there. We'll be home before you know it. Promise." The Night Terror peeped again but hide in the pack.

In a few leisurely hours they made it home. Berserkers waved as they flew passed. Their own Windstriker Riders saluted as they flew past while their dragons roared eagerly. The Gronkles and their Riders were pulling carts from the fields that were loaded with harvested produce.

They circled the village once before landing. Everything looked to be in order. The people were all out and about doing their tasks. Some were even on the docks inspecting ships. The Scauldron was relaxing in the water by the docks in the sun like the Murking Tribe Scauldrons had. Only this time Berserkers stopped to give it scratches before continuing on.

"Good to be home," Iris groaned as she slide of off Enigma. "Ouch! Hi Screechie." The green Terror clung to her while true to his name, screeching.

"That thing is obsessed with you," Dagur grumbled as he started undoing Jager's saddle.

"Well I know someone else who is," she teased. Dagur cracked a smile and gave her a wink. "Screechie! Get out of there!"

Screechie had jumped off of her to stand on Enigma's saddle. Eagerly he began sniffing at her back, burrowing his head under the flap. Quickly he jerked back with a squall, three red lines across his nose. The Night Terror came boiling out with a hiss.

"Iris! I said no Night Terrors!"

"I didn't know it was in there!"

"YOU packed that bag. I have a hard time believing you wouldn't notice the extra weight." She didn't think of that logic. "Now you have two annoying little dragons all over you."

"Oh come on look at it." Iris scooped up the small growling black dragon and showed it to Dagur, who was still scowling. "Don't be mad. Look at that cute face!" He just scowled harder. She pouted, looking up at him with sad eyes.

"Don't. Don't. ARGH!" She won. "I HATE it when you do that! Fine. It can stay. No more little dragons! I mean it!"

"Of course." He eyed her. "I promise. Next time I'll just do my best to get your permission." Iris winked at him with a grin.

"When you put it that way."

He growled but she stepped away before he could grab her. Already Rohan was walking up to them moving as fast as his body would let him calling to Dagur excitedly. Dagur closed his eyes, taking a few deep breaths.

"Later," he threatened.

"Of course," she sassed. He gave her a knowing look before turning to address Rohan, who was overjoyed to have them home. "Let's get you settled and chose a name. You'll fit right in."

The Night Terror gave a growl, still glaring at Screechie. It calmed down as she scratched its chin. It was going to be an adjustment having two little breed dragons in the house but she didn't mind. Since Screechie moved in the number of rodents drastically dropped. He even lurked around the neighboring buildings to catch rats and mice much like a cat.

Enigma gave a huff. It was clear what she wanted. Quickly Iris set the Night Terror down and went to take off her saddle. The moment the glorified leather pad was off the Fury Howler stretched, ruffled her mane and back ridge, and bounded off with Jager hot on her heels. Iris just shook her head before taking her and Dagur's saddles inside.

Goofy dragons.

Next few chapters are M. You've been warned.
