…
Tamika and been in and out of her cage for the past few days. They were trying to work of if they could trust her. She knew that they shouldn't but got damn did she want them to. She never realised how much she wanted these people to trust her. They're good people, really good people.
They had no reason to trust her. She's part of the Fireons, but that doesn't mean she's bad right?
A creek of the door caught her attention, just as it always did, with the same person stepping through.
"What up my dude." Nic said, walking up to the cage to unlock it. "How you doing?"
She smiled, "Yeah man, I'm alright. Getting kinda bored of hanging around though."
Nic couldn't contain his grin, "Well, you're in luck."
The girl with crystal blue eyes straightened, getting eager as to what he has to say. "You intrigued me good sir."
"You're coming on a mission with me and Ghost."
Her eyes lit up like a Day Enchanted lighting the sky, "You're pulling my wand aren't you Nic!" She thought he was joking, but the look in his eyes said something else. "This is a test, isn't it?"
"Nah fam. It's legit."
She released a high-pitched squeal and did a backflip. It was almost glass shattering. She stopped her screaming noticing the other figure standing in the door.
Leaning against the door frame, hood up and mask covering the lower part of his face. He was almost hard to see, almost a silhouette. "This is a stealth run. A steak out. Do you think you're up to it?"
Tamika was ecstatic. The cage door was opened, and she felt her magic running around her body again. Not that it was all that surprised anyway. Cages like that are designed to stop magic from leaving the bod and getting to the outside. Her magic is on the inside, basically invisible...just like he said...
She broke through those negative thoughts, saluting to Ghost, "Yes sir!"
Nic walked by her side, moving towards the communications rooms. She'd been there the most over the past few days, going on trial almost, with the Rebels always asking her questions about how the Fireons work and move. She knew the ins and outs of the castle, but she warned them against attacking it. Hundreds and hundreds of guards line every hallway. She struggled getting in on her own, and she knew the place like the back of her hand.
She did take note of how much Ghost knew about the castle though. It's like he had been there hundreds of times, but still didn't know anything. Maybe he was there before the war started? But who knows?
"Ghost, what's your real name?" She said mindlessly, "Don't get me wrong, the name 'Ghost' is cool and all, but like...it sounds like horses name."
She could tell that he smirked under his mask but stopped in his tracks to face her. "Ghost."
Tamika was left with a pout, "Seriously? There's no way that's your real name!" She began walking to try to catch up to him again, before turning to the Water Enchanted, "Nic? Do you know?" She turned to the other boy, who just put his hands up in defence.
"Nope. None of that. I ain't telling you shit."
They took her back to the communications room, where in the centre of the room stood a table. An old and torn map was sprawled out along it, with small orbs of light sitting above certain places.
She took note of the different colours. There were quite a few red ones clustered together over most of the map, then there were a cluster of four dots around the same point. A red, white, purple and blue.
It matched everyone in the room.
Tamika eyed off the other enchanted in the room, someone she knew of. Che'. She only saw her a select few times in the castle, but she was a bit pre occupied with Blayze to pay attention.
Would he miss her? She shook her head, thinking to herself that she shouldn't have these thoughts. Not now.
"We need your help." Che' started off, standing from her chair.
Tamika could see the tiredness and weakness in her eyes. She shouldn't be standing. Well she should be dead. Blayze should have killed her, he said she did. He said they all did.
"So how are you alive?" She didn't think to catch herself from saying it, and only realised too late. Everyone seemed slightly taken back by it.
Che' just looked between the two boys in the room and shook her head, "Now is not the time nor place." Her voice was tired, like she just woke up from a nap.
"Is no one going to tell me anything today?!" She seemed slightly distresses and pouted again.
"Focus." Ghost ordered, walking around, next to Che'. "We've almost driven the Fireons out of Zephyra. We need to see how many are left."
Tamika sat back and thought for a moment, her mind running through anything she thought she could see from her memories. "Are you talking about the station left at the border?"
All eyes snapped to her, "At the border?" Che' stepped forward, "We've got guards patrolling the border. There's nothing there."
The blonde girl smirked, "What kind of Enchanted controls the border?"
"Air and Earth Enchanted."
Tamika nodded, "That'd be why." She noticed Nic's confused expression, "Lachy thought that you'd keep the Night and Day Enchanted around the base to make sure that you guys are hidden. So, he enchanted a thingamabob to make those who were under its range to hide them."
She could see realisation hit Che's face. "Of course, he did..." She whispered to herself, sitting down on the chair, "How did I miss that?"
"I overlooked it too. Don't stress."
Tamika's head snapped upright, "Do you guys ever come in from the south west corner of Zephyra?" She asked curiously, with a slight bit of worry on her face.
Ghost shook his head, "No, we leave out another path. The south west corner sits on the border of Central Asteria. We can't risk getting caught going in and out that way."
"Good, because that's where they sit. I saw them when we broke out of the castle. It was a good thing Mex hid us in that tree, otherwise they would have followed us here."
Nic nodded, "Welp. Looks like that's where we're going." He walked over to the box in the corner of the room, pulling out Tamika's brown cloak. "You might want this."
She smiled, "What would you guys do without me," She turned to Ghost, "Now, let's get to the juicy stuff. What's your real name pony?"
"No."
She pouted, "SERIOUSLY!"

…
Host Club the next morning was quite interesting. Niko tagged along and was just very quiet and observing. Kaoru tried to talk to her a few times, but she just seems very out of it, almost as if her mind was somewhere else.
Georgia had questioned me relentlessly about my magic yesterday. Asking me how i did it, and how I knew how to do it. The truth is, I'm not quite sure myself. That voice just temporarily came back. She was just whispering to me, giving me ideas, before she just vanished again. Winter nor Georgia knew what to think, or who she was. But if she can help me get this magic business under control.
It was as if i could see inside Niko's body when i waved my hand over her, but I could only see where my hand was. The easiest way to explain it, was if i compared it to an X-Ray.
I explained everything to her, but and she just was very silent about it all. Only thinking it over with a small 'ok' leaving her lips. So, this voice seems to come to me when I need it the most. It's like this voice is a part of me. Perhaps is a personification of my magic? There's some part of me which wishes that it was my mother. Leaving something to help me other than that book...but it couldn't be.
Georgia has no idea who this person is, and neither does Winter. But this person seems to know so much about me and about magic, that I feel like she rivals Winter.
That still leaves the question though...who is she?

...
"You know those Lobelia girls are probably going to strike again right?" I say, pouring tea to the twins whilst they had no one at their table.
They smirked at me, "Oh we know. But we'll be there to fight them off." They say together.
"Please," Niko said smirking as she turns the chair around, sitting on it like one of those stereotypical cool girls, "You two couldn't take on a fly. I kicked everyone's asses there while you guys were just running around like lunatics."
I blinked a few times before clearing my throat to get her attention.
She rolled her eyes, "We kicked everyone's asses." She corrected herself smirking at me.
"Ya damn right we did," I smirked back.
The twins just look at us confused. I don't think they know what we did, but i know that look in their eyes. It's the same look that they gave us back when we were at the beach,
"Don't you are start with that bull shit." Niko turned to the two boys, who both looked slightly terrified, "If you say anything about girls not being strong enough or being able to fight. I will grind you into the ground."
I took a step back from the table. Is that what I look like when I get mad at them? Why is it that I'm slightly concerned but slightly enjoying this?
The two looked between Niko and I concernedly before Niko spoke again, "Ru told be about your little fight on the beach. So, don't you dare start with that shit." She warned and the boys nodded vigorously.
"I don't think we need to worry about them coming back." They agreed with one another.
Niko didn't react to the boy's comment, only to just be looking over at Mori and Honey. She wasn't angry or glaring, she was more curious than anything.
...
Niko knew Georgia was staring at her, she could feel her eyes burning into the back of her head. Not that she really cared, she loved the fact that this girl was struggling to figure her out.
What seemed to pre occupy her mind was Morinozuka and Haninozuka. The long-time question of what happened to those two was finally answered. They left the dojo in order to pursue this. Not that it made any logical sense for them to basically abandon their family business in order to do...this...
Not that she can really judge them on that, she did kind of did the same.
She knew that Mitsukuni feared her, at least a little bit. He always has been, ever since she was much younger. Her fighting style is something to really be concerned about when she goes into her blind fight mode. Not that it happened all that often, but when it did...well, let's just say it gives people the same effect that Mitsukuni did when he fought.
But worse...
Takashi looked over to Niko, catching that she was watching them. She wasn't sure if she scared him, but she was sure that he knew that Mitsukuni was, and his job was to serve and protect the Haninozuka family.
Mitsukuni knew what she was capable of and didn't want to go near her. Not after last time. She'd call him her toughest adversary. But that's a story for another time.
Maybe Niko would start coming here more often. There's so much stuff here. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if some of it went missing.
A high-pitched noise entered her ears, and she rolled her eyes. She looked back to the girl with light brown hair, who was staring at her. "Would you stop."
Georgia straightened up, having been caught out. She could tell every time when that fairy was trying to get into her head. She should just know that that's never going to happen. Her mind is under lock and key. No one can know what's going on inside her head. The only time she was so vulnerable was when she was asleep...not that that happened too often.
"Gentlemen!" Tamaki shouted getting everyone's attention, "and ladies..." He seemed put off by Niko's glare, "This week is Halloween, therefore it's horror fantasy time!" The blonde pulled something out behind his back and throwing the contents into the air and it landed on everyone's laps. "So, for the rest of the week and until how
Well, asides from her of course.
They were capes. Vampire capes. And teeth...? Are they seriously going to dress like this? She rolled her eyes.
Even Georgia and Ru got one set each. There would be no way she'd be caught dead in those. She couldn't even imagine herself enrolling in this school. It's too prestigious. These people are freaks.
"I'm so keen for Halloween!" Georgia smiled, looking at everyone, "But not for vampires. I'm really feeling like going as a scratched up Little Red Riding Hood."
Ru rolled her eyes, "Seriously? Halloween is just a western tradition. There's nothing scary about myths and legends." She put her costume on the table.
"I think it's more about fun than anything." Niko smirked, "Halloween's cool when it's done right, which I don't think it'll be here." She eyes off the costumes, noticing the amount of glitter shining off the capes alone. Vampire's aren't sexy, especially when they're glittery.
The red-haired girl noticed that the boy with the glasses smirked at her, writing something down in his little book. "Whilst I agree with your statement, it's not up to us to decide," He explains, "That would be our President's executive decision."
Niko noticed Tamaki throw his cape and Teeth on, and approach here with great speed, "Tell me you don't want me to bite you." He touched her chin, much like he would any girl, "I'm sure you're delicious."
A growl escaped from her throat, before she bit his hand. "Don't touch me."
"NOT AGAIN!" Tamaki howled in pain, screaming and jumping around in the room in pain. His hand was huge, red and swollen.
Ru just stood up slowly, pulling out a small roll of bandages.
Tamaki stopped bouncing around and screaming, and just hissed on the ground with tears in his eyes. She took his bitten hand and began to wrap it, like she had done before.
Niko rolled her eyes at the look he gave her. He loved her or had feelings for him at least. She was pretty sure he was just too stupid to realise it. A lot of these guys are honestly. Most of them gave Ru that look occasionally. Even Hikaru did. He would do the same look between Ru and Georgia all the time.
Though, it seems like he's more interested in that Fairy. I wonder how long she can keep that a secret?
...
Three hooded figures made their way through the Zephyra forest, as silent as can be.
Two of them had their feet hardly touch the ground but were ducking behind tress.
One stay in the tree tops, flipping her way from branch to branch with a lot of style and grace. She stopped, noticing the boarder come closer and closer. She could see Asteria Castle fair off in the distance through the trees.
She gulped down the feeling of regret as the thought about who was in that castle, but shook her head, shaking away the feeling. Her bright blue eyes scanned the border, looking for that slight hint of magic.
And she found it.
The two on the ground looked to her, and she nodded, pointing to a small patch of well...nothing...well, nothing that could be seen anyway. There was just something slightly off in the air. Just an occasional flicker of the forest ground that gave it away. Very, very easy to miss if you didn't know what you were looking for.
Good thing she did.
She flipped her way silently down to the forest floor, standing by the two boys. "Ok, so what's the game plan? The three of us running ready to kill? Are you gonna flood them out Nic? How about you blow them away!"
Ghost rolled his eyes, "No."
"T, you gotta chill." Nic turned to her, "Also, call my Hydro. That's my field code name."
Tamika had the sudden realisation, "What my code name then?!" She got very excited, running hundreds of names through her head.
"We don't have time for this right now." Ghost hissed, not taking his eyes off the base, just trying to make sure that he can see it. He grabbed a small handful of dirt in his hand, before blowing it off his hand. It moved towards where he base should begin, and it sticks to the outside.
"I wanna call myself Cinder."
He smirked. Tamika was right, they were there. He ignored her codename, and began to sneak around, checking how big the tent was, attaching patches of dirt to every corner. He returned to the two and told them of the size of the tent.
"You're not going in, there right?" Tamika asked Ghost.
He narrowed his eyes on the tent, "I've been thinking about it."
She furiously shook her head, "No don't! It's enchanted. Anyone who doesn't have Fireon blood in their system will trigger some sort of alarm and then half the army will be here in... well I don't know. But it'll be fast. And we will die."
Nic pressed his lips together, "Yeah, good thing it's just a recon mission, right?"
"Right," Ghost confirmed, "We don't know how many are in there. Or how far away more are."
Tamika nodded, "I agree. I'll go find out!"
And she took off.
Ghost reached out for her, trying to grab onto her to bring her back but he missed. She was way too fast on her feet. Within the span of two seconds, she was gone, disappearing into the tent.
"Tamika!" He whispers shouts trying to draw her back, but she didn't listen.
The boys waited, looking at one another with shock and distress. "Whelp, she's dead."
"Or crazy," Ghost sighed, listening for any sign of her.
"Nope, just crazy." Tamika called out from the tent.
The two boys were taken back, she was just a floating head. Nic more shocked than Ghost though. "You're...you're a head..." Nic stuttered out.
"Yeah, ahead of you two. Hurry up." Her head disappeared clearly going back into the tent.
Nic shook off his shock and stood up heading towards the tent, but Ghost took a hold of Nic's shoulder, "It's a trap."
The water enchanted froze up for a second, "Wait what? Is it?"
"We'll go in, be ready for anything. We still can't trust her." Ghost whispered, and Nic nodded.
"Yeah ok man."
They began to slowly sneak in, with Ghost in front leading. He began to reach his hand out for tent, feeling surprised to touch something that looks like it shouldn't be there.
The more he pulled the material back, the more he could see into the tent.
"Boo!"
Ghost was unfazed, but Nic was spooked. He was supposed to be ready for anything and he was. With his right hand, he fired a water spell, lunching whoever it was across the room.
The Air Enchanted just nodded his head at the boy's reaction time. "I'm impressed." Ghost smirked, looking at the sprawled-out figure across the room.
"I'm not." A groggy voice muttered. Tamika was slowly standing to her feet, having the wind knocked out of her. "Man, what was that? And now I'm soaking wet." She began to wring out her hair, with a fair amount of water dropping down in one twist.
Nic shrugged, "Soz T, I panicked." He took a moment to look round the room, "Whoa, you did this?"
The scene looked slightly brutal. There were five Fireons just sprawled out around the tent, each breathing, but some looked like they didn't even know she was coming.
"Who else would have done it?" She smirked but had to put up with the fact that she couldn't dry off just yet. Well, not her usual way anyway. "Maps and stuff are over on that table, tea and stuff are over here." She pointed in the direction of everything, grabbing some of the food left off one of the guys plates.
Ghost nodded as he moved over towards where the maps are, whilst Nic and Tamika began tying up the Fireon soldiers.
Tamika's ears picked up something coming from the outside of the tent. Nic heard it too, sneakily moving towards the exit. Tamika could hear it, it was footsteps.
But they then vanished.
The blonde girl watched as the water enchanted turned to the right, still listening out for it. She moved closer, being able to see the forest now. Her blue eyes were well adapted to the dark, especially whilst breaking in trough the castle.
Then she saw a spark of fire, "Look out!" She cried as a ball of fire flew straight at Nic.
Tamika jumped in the way of it, having it hit her stomach and launch her over the top of Nic, before she hit the ground with a big thud. Everything instantly turned blurry, having hit her head on the ground.
Nic reacted quickly, flinging a water spell at the Fireon so fast he had no time to react. The Fireon fell unconscious from a hit to the heart of a water spell.
"T?" Nic scrambled over to the girl who just groaned.
Her stomach was sore, with only a minor burn on it. Her skin was fire resistant, but not fire proof. Her vision was blacking in and out from having hit her head on the ground hard. "It's...fine..." She mumbled trying to sit upright, only to fall back down again.
"What happened?" He rushed straight to Nic, making sure he was alright before noticing the blonde sprawled out along the ground.
Tamika managed to push herself onto her elbows, "I had to protect Nic." She managed to whisper out. She blinked a few more times, with her vision slowly coming back to her.
Nic nodded, "You really saved me." He helped her to stand, watching her carefully. After that, Nic knew that he could trust her. There's no doubt in his mind. "Thank you."
"It's cool my dude." She weakly smiled, as they all headed back into the tent.
Ghost surveyed the room, "That should be all of them." He made a note on how many placemats there were, and how many of everything seemed to be in this tent. There was almost six of everything. He used his magic to lift the last one into the tent and proceeded to tie him up with the rest.
"What are we gonna do about this place?" Nic asked, looking around at everything. He specially took note of the map on the table. It was a map of Zephyra and Marilla, with sectors being labelled yes and no. "They're looking for us."
Tamika nodded, "But they can't find you. It's like the ultimate game of hide and seek." She giggled a little but then pointed to something hanging from the ceiling, "That thing there. You should probably get someone to fix it. Maybe Che'. They won't find it if it's her magic."
Ghost nodded, "Are you alright to head back?"
The girl nodded, grabbing another piece of warm chicken off one of the plates on the table. "I think I'll be fine."
A small smile came from the Air Enchanted. Perhaps he could trust her, she just laid her life on the line for Nic. He didn't know what would happen if he lost his right-hand man, and his best friend. That's the struggle of being in a rebellion. Everyone fights for one cause, and those you fight alongside become your family.
Ghost smirked, extending his hand out to her, "I think you are too."
…
Well you made it to the end of the chapter! Please tell me what you think, I'd really love to hear it!
My question of the day is: If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be and why (you could even pick characters from the story)
Thank you all!
Until Next Time,
