Hey guys! I'm back! And on time! I really hope you enjoy this chapter. I know that it hasn't been as popular as it usually is, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop writing! So, thank you if you're still reading this! This one is for you!
I have no one to thank nor reply to this chapter. So I wish you all a happy day!
…
I jumped back surprise at the demon lady looked at us with an open mouth, which kinda looked like it was broken open. "What the hell is that?" I scream running a few steps backwards, almost knocking Hikaru over in the process.
"RUN!" Hikaru shouted, grabbing me by the wrist and running past the stairs and down the other hallway.
What the heck is that thing? I didn't think this would be that scary! And there's no way that these guys could make something that terrifying under 300 yen! It's just not possible! "Where are we-"
I felt something under my foot, like a rope that caused me to trip. I scream in surprise thinking I'm about to hit the floor hard because we were running pretty fast. But instead I felt something else.
"What the hell?" I gasp as Hikaru and I were hoisted up into the air, both of us shouting in surprise.
It was hard to keep any sort of balance, so I fell on my back. I looked around us, noticing a weaved rope trap. Hikaru was trying to sit upright but managed to fall over, almost on top of me. He places his hand on either side of my shoulders, as if pinning me to the net...unintentionally of course.
I just kinda stared into his eyes, some days they're so hard to read but other... well it's like he's an open book.
"Are you ok?" He asks, still looking like he's recovering from the shock.
With the nod of my head I tell him I'm alright. I grabbed the rope in my hands, feeling that it was tight. Maybe I could bite through it? "Who would do this? It couldn't be one of our teams!" I groan, thinking about it logically.
Hikaru just looked around, "I'm not sure..." There was no sign of anything our class could have done. "This was supposed to be a tournament! Not a hunt!"
I looked around, trying to find where our other team members are, "Where is everyone?"
He began to look around with a panic in his eyes, "Kaoru?!" There was no response. He became more agitated, "Where is he?!"
The net began to swing back and forth, as Hikaru began to freak out. "Hikaru! Ow!" I said as he accidentally stood on my leg, "Stop it!"
"I've got to find Kaoru!"
He misplaced his footing and fell back down on top of me. "Ow!" I felt his arm hit my stomach, "Would you calm down?! I'll get us out of here!" I growl, sitting up looking at a weak point in the rope. "I wish I had Haruhi here. She'd have us out with her sowing kit." I grumbled to herself.
Hikaru smirked, "Wow, even Haruhi has a feminine side. Impressive."
I turned back to him, "What's that supposed to mean?" there was a slight snarl on my face. "Wow, you really are a prick!"
He looked at me confused and shocked, "What do you mean I'm a prick?! Kaoru and I are the same!"
I laugh at him, "You wish. When Kaoru is by himself, he different. He's nicer and not a trouble maker." He seemed to be glaring at me, "You on the other hand, get so much worse."
He huffed, "So if I get so much worse, why do you hang around even when we're alone? Why not just walk off? I know you hate me."
I paused for a moment, letting that sink in. "I don't hate you..."
He froze. Looking deep into my eyes, processing what I had just said. Heck, I don't even know why I had just said that. But it's true, I don't hate him, I just...I honestly don't know.
"You don't?"
With a small smile I shook my head, "I think you're an idiot, and a bit of an asshole." The look on his face dropped, being slightly sad and offended, "But...I don't hate you."
He sat back, moving the net into an awkward position, forcing me to sit up and fall forward onto him. I steadied myself trying to keep up above him, but I was basically straddling him in the net.
"So how to do you feel about me then?"
My stomach dropped, and I felt the heat in my cheeks. How do I answer that? I like him? He's an alright dude? He stole my necklace and sold it on the internet? Almost punched me in the head? He just took my hand and ran down the hallway with me...almost as if to protect me. "I don't know..."
With a yelp, the two of us fell out of the net, hitting the ground with a thud. "Ow..." I groaned, rolling over on the cold tiled ground. I looked back up at the net, looking at the hole in it. The knots where my hands were...they were charred, and slightly smoking...
Oh shit...my bad...
Hikaru's eyes were closed as he rubbed the back of his head. He began to sit up, and in a panic, I used my air-magic to launch the net to the ceiling. The boy beside me groaned looking up at the next the was on the ceiling with a hole in it. "How did that happen?!" He was in shock, but it doesn't look like he's noticed that it's burnt.
I sighed, laying back down on the ground, relieved that we didn't notice, "I um...untied the knot." blurted out quickly. "I guess you weren't just paying attention."
I small sound off in the distance caused me to sit upright. It sounded like whispering. But then it was gone.
Hikaru began to sprit off into the other direction. "Wait!" I call out torn between running after him and figuring out who was whispering. What if they saw what I did? Was it Team A who was messing with us?
I took in a deep breath, focusing myself to create dark vision. Off into the distance I could see red hair sticking out from around the corner. I knew exactly who that belonged to.
"Don't worry, it's just Niko and I!" I heard Haruhi enter my head.
"Haruhi? Where are you? Are you ok?" I say walking a few steps forward, heading onwards where Haruhi should have been, "And why is Niko there?"
"I'm fine! Niko is helping me out of this trap. But you need to go and find Hikaru, he's reckless on his own!"
I rolled my eyes, "You're telling me..."
"Just go!"
I turned on my heel and ran. "Hikaru!" I called out running as fast as I could after him. "Hikaru wait!"
My breath was starting to get quicker. I didn't realise how fair he had run, and how out of shape I was.
"Kaoru!" I heard him shout as he opens another door, looking inside for his brother. It was slammed shut then he moves to the next one.
"Hikaru! Calm down!" I grab his arm before he threw open the next door, "It's ok!"
I looked into his eyes...and they were teary. I'm not sure what took over me, but I moved him, hugging him tightly. "It's ok..." I whisper. It took him a moment, but he did hug me too.
"I have to find him." He pulled away, "He's got to be here somewhere."
For once I wish I could track the Non-Enchanted. Tracking someone with a magical signature is easy...but without there being one, there's no chance.
He opened the door, "Kaoru!? Are you here?" There was still so much worry in his voice.
I looked down the hallway and saw that there was one of the doors completely blockaded by sandbags. "Hikaru! Over here!" I call out, running over to it, beginning to push the bags over. "Kaoru! Kazukiyo! Are you in there!" I shout hoping that they were in there.
There was a response, it was muffled, but it was a response. The two of us pushed these bags out of the way. One after the other they fell until Hikaru finally burst through the door. "KAORU!"
Kaoru looked somewhat shocked to see him, but pure joy crept across his face. "HIKARU!"
The two hugged each other as if they'd been separated for years. It melted my heart just looking at the smiles on their faces. A happy family. If you really thought about it, the host club is basically one big family for me.
...It's really going to hurt when I leave them.
"Where's Fujioka?" Class rep asks, and I look out the door, and see Niko and Haruhi walking towards us.
"Found him." I mention, before stepping outside.
Niko crosses her arms, "What the hell is going on here?"
Hikaru and Kaoru looked at one another, "More like what are you doing here?" They asked together, looking strangely at the girl.
"My question first." She snapped, "I want to know whose ass to kick for trapping Ru in a net."
Hikaru stepped forward, "It's gotta be group A."
"Those guys are sneaky." Kaoru adds on, so we all head towards where everyone else.
...
We head back and see everyone else in the class gathers around the bottom of a set of stairs. There, Renge and Kurakano were watching us walk up. "Oh, there they are!"
"We've been so worried about you guys!" Kurakano called out, as everyone began to approach us.
Some boy looked at us confused, "Why did you leave your post in the middle of the tournament? We called off the whole thing to go looking for you!"
The six of us look at one another, "Wait, wasn't that you guys trying to scare us?" Kaoru asks.
The boy shook his head, "Huh? We didn't do anything?"
Well, I was right, it wasn't them. Then who did it?
Renge and Kurakano let off a high-pitched scream as they held onto one another.
"Bloody hell..." I whisper, placing a hand over my thundering heart. I got scared by their scream, what else am I supposed to do.
I watched Niko get into a fighting stance, pushing Haruhi behind her protectively.
"What was that?" Haruhi asked slightly nervous, looking aorund.
My stomach dropped, looking around the room with my Dark Vision spell but there was nothing...NOTHING!
Kurakano screamed, "OUTSIDE!"
"BY THE WINDOW! THERE'S A DARK FIGURE!"
The big showdown covered the glass room causing everyone to scream and run...well except Niko.
...
Third Person
...
"They sure got us." Haruhi sighed standing in front of the news board. There, stapled to it was a photo of the entire class
Georgia nodded, "Yep. Well everyone except Niko."
The red hair girl smirked hearing her name. She pushed off against the board she was leaning against, "Oh trust me, I've seen scarier things in my life.
Georgia rolled her eyes. I've seen much scarier things.
Niko just left off one small laugh looking at the fairy. Although Georgia didn't notice her reaction, Niko couldn't wait to for her to find out...the girl is quite dumb. It'll take her way too long to figure it out. But it's fun to wait.
"Nekozawa is such a jerk." Hikaru grumbled,
"How did we not know that was Belzenef." Kaoru sighed, before looking distantly at his brothers' eyes.
Niko watched him curiously, knowing that there was something wrong. Kaoru was surprisingly smart, he could read his brother better than anyone else could. And Niko could tell. That boy was an open book to her.
"Would you look at that." Kaoru smiled watching them walk away, "I guess that spell on the carriage can't last forever, after all."
Niko turned to him, trying to understand the nonsense coming out of his mouth, "Excuse me?"
"What do you mean?"
Not one person had caught onto what Kaoru was talking about. That didn't stop him from continuing. "Well, since you ran towards me in that situation, i suppose everything is alright for now."
Niko just became a little more curious about this boy. Ru walked off, trying to catch up with Tamaki for god knows what reason.
Georgia turned around, an equally as confused expression on her face, "What?"
With a small smile, Kaoru just waved it off, "Nothing, nothing. Just my own little private joke. Let's get out of here!" With a big smile he gave Georgia and Hikaru a small push in the back, almost forcing those two to go off together.
Kaoru acted as if he was alone, speaking to himself, "Still, one day Hikaru will realise he wants to take the next step on his own..." He paused, letting his hands fall to his side, and head hang low, "When that happens, I don't know where that'll leave me."
Niko was intrigued by his thought process, beginning to move into his line of site when he stopped talking. "I guess that'll leave you here with me." She smirked, punching him in the shoulder, "You'll be fine. It looks like you've got that entire family of host club there. It's not just Hikaru in your life."
Kaoru was taken back, rubbing his arm where she punched. The girl was way too strong.

Asteria P.O.V
...
...
"EVERYBODY MOVE! THROUGH THE ESCAPE ROUTE!" Ghost roared, running through the base, avoiding burning bits of wood and the occasional Fireon he sees.
When Ghost looked outside, the site he saw was horrendous. Fire surrounded every single hut that was suspended in the air. In the tree line however, stood a Fireon army, with the Fire Twins standing in front, arms cross o their chests. The smirk on their face was pure malice, and one not to be messed with.
Tamika ran up beside him and took in the same site. "Oh no..." She whispered, feeling nerves hit her stomach.
"We have to get out of here!" Ghost roared, taking off with Tamika in tow. Ghost paused, using his magic to hold up one of the entrances which began to collapse. "PHANTOMS!" He shouted noticing Blitz, Mex and Bongo all using their magic to protect the other rebels. "Lead them out of here! Make sure everyone gets out safely!"
With a quick nod, they were off, leading the rebels out and to safety.
Tamika ducked under the arch way and began lifting pieces of burning wood, freeing those who were trapped underneath. "RUN!" She told the trapped enchanted who began to run. She dropped the log with a hiss, feeling the wood beginning to burn her hand.
She looked out over the balcony, seeing the twisted look in her sisters' eyes. It made her sick when she noticed the malicious smiles on their face as they locked eyes with her. The Fireon army behind then took to the sky, carrying what looks like hundreds of metal nets. "Oh no..."
...
Che' was guarding the exit, making sure her friends got out safely. Enchanted ran, heading for the Marilla Border, hopefully they'll be safer there with the help of those Marillan's who have their own secret base.
She felt the heat rise on the ceiling above her, and she knew it was coming down. Her eyes glowed bright purple as she kept the roof of the base's hallway up.
Each Enchanted launched themselves off the Highrise, using their magic to make their way down and out of Che's sight. It began to weigh down on her, more and more. She had to crouch down to keep it up, just to make sure everyone ran out safely.
Eventually they stopped running through the hallway, and with one jump she launched herself away from the debris, panting as she scrambles upward and begins to run off into the same direction that everyone else took off.
A hand flew over Che's mouth, and a force dragged her over to the side, behind a rock.
Che' in a panic, disappeared out of the persons grasp, using a power she had only tested out once before. Voids. With a quick motion, she had the person pinned up against the rock with her magic.
She gasped, looking at Nic with his hands around his throat, trying to speak or breath but it's just not happening. She dropped him and he began breathing, "Thanks man, for not killing me. 'Prectiate it." he blinks for a moment, "Wait, what the fuck? Since when-"
She put up her hand, "Not now..." She said peeking out from behind the rock they were hiding at. Her stomach dropped as she saw the Fireon army drop one of the nets on a group of Rebels. "No!"
"We have to do something!" Nic stood up and was about to run over there and help but she pulled him back with her magic. "What?!" He was in shock.
Che' shook her head, "Nic... that's terminite."
"Terminite?" He questioned but he kept his eyes focused on those who were under the chained net. They weren't fighting. "What's going on."
Che' didn't take her eyes off the sight before her, "Terminite, it's a mineral that stops magic ability."
Nic had a moment of realisation, "So that's what it's called."
"We need to get out of here..."
...
Tamika had been in and out of almost every room, but of course the place was huge, and she couldn't check them all. There was a pit on her stomach telling her that something was wrong, but she couldn't place it.
"Ghost!" She called out, jumping over a burning log to get to the rebel leader who was making sure that there was no Enchanted left in the base. "We need to-"
A Fireon burst through one of the windows, knocking Tamika to the ground. She struggled against him, feeling the burning log against her already burnt stomach.
She felt him the weight of the Fireon was lifted off her, thanks to Ghost.
Fireon rolled across the floor, giving Tamika time to get up and grab out one of her ribbons. She used it like a whip, to knock some of the lost celling bits down onto him.
She ran, taking Ghost by the hand and dragging him out. Her hood was up, and Ghost followed in suite. They ran off to the end of one of the collapsing huts which was about to fall from the air. "Get ready to jump!" She shouted picking up speed before launching herself into the air, wrapping her ribbon around a tree and swinging to safety.
The two landed safely into a tree, panting and feeling the relief of the cool air on their skin.
Ghost felt weak, with all the smoke mixing in his lungs. He coughed but tried to contain it. Before the blonde could even ask, he answered, "I'm fine."
He helped to the descend from the tree, safely landing them on the ground, only to run into Che' and Nic.
"Ghost!" Che' breathed, regaining her breath, "What do we do. It's all gone!" She was distraught, but her eyes lit up watching as bright lights began to shine across the sky.
Everyone turned looking at the source. It was Ellie, throwing lightning left, right and centre, drawing the attention of the two Fire Twins. "Oh no..." Tamika whispered as she watched Amber fly at the Day Enchanted and took her down.
Tamika grabbed hold of Ghost stooping him from taking off to help her. "You can't!" She was worried. She can't have Ghost going up against her sisters. No one should do that. "I'll go."
"Why shouldn't I just stop you from going in there too." He argued back.
She sighed looking down at the ring on her finger, "You don't know them like I do." She looks at Ghost, determination in her eyes, "I can do this. And you guys need to hide. Get to somewhere far away from here. If I don't come back..." She had to take a deep breath again, with another glance at her ring, "Don't look for me."
The look in Ghost's eyes told her that he gave in, "Fine." But he didn't like it.
"I do need one favour though..."
...
Ellie was almost breathless as she hit the ground of one of the huts that was still in the air. She pushed through, onto her hands and feet, coughing and crawling back to her feet.
She felt a force hit her stomach and it launched her. If she wasn't the fire burning her skin that she felt, it was definitely going to be that kick.
"Pathetic." she heard the voice breath through the smoke and fire. The fire might as well have been talking to her.
Ellie took in another big breath, "You won't way that when I'm up kicking your ass!" The Day Enchanted launched her hand into the air, shooting a bolt of lightning at the fire twin. But she only just moved to the side.
As if it was a mirage, her vision doubled. Well, it wasn't. It was real. She felt it when she was hit in the chest with another fireball.
She couldn't breathe. The smoke and fire were getting to much for her.
"Should we kill her now?" One asks, looking at the other with a bored expression.
"Or wait for Blayze." The other finishes.
The fire reflected in their eyes as Ellie began to stand again. "Good luck with that." Her entire body began to glow with lighting. Her eyes were filled with it. She was angry.
The twins rolled their eyes, before flicking their wrists, shooting two fireballs straight into her chest.
Any light from the girl vanished, and she fell to the ground, hunched over with her arms wrapped around her stomach, feeling it burn more than the rest of her body.
She felt a pain in her head. She looked up, snarling as one of the twins had a fistful of orange hair. Ellie grabbed onto the girl's wrist trying to claw at it.
Everyone's attention was turned to as another crash sent debris flying through the roof. The twin let go of the girl, letting her fall to the ground to focus their attention on what just happened.
They weren't surprised at who burst through the roof.
But Ellie was, "Tamika?" it was barely a whisper, but you could hear the relief and panic in her voice. She was dangerous, and since Tamika didn't have powers...she could get seriously hurt.
Tamika landed on the ground, in a crouched position, a ribbon in her hand. She looked like she was ready for a fight.
The sisters turned to the blonde girl, "You're late."
Tamika's glance shifted from Ellie to the twins, "I know." She hung her head, "I'm sorry. But I'm here."
Ellie's stomach clenched hearing those words. "No..." She whispered, feeling the lighting swirl around her again. "Traitor!" She shouted sending a burst of light everywhere.
Tamika jumped out of the way, and the twins bordely put up a shield, blocking her magic. It was weak, but there was no surprise there.
With a quick flick of her ribbon, Tamika had Ellie's wrist tangled up, before flinging her across the room, crashing into another wall.
Ellie didn't get up again.
Tamika the sighed, looking at the girl collapsed on the ground. There was a small bit of panic in her voice, "Did I just...?"
Amber stepped forward, using her magic to lift the girl off the ground. "No."
Ember rolled her eyes at her youngest sister, "Hurry up and get back."
The two took off leaving Tamika in the burning room.
She put her hood on and took off by herself, jumping out sneakily and as silent as possible. Tears began to form in her eyes as she stopped and looked back at the burning base.
It all began to fall, as the last Enchanted was scooped up in those 'Anti magic' nets that Blayze had made. She guessed that they would be used for this, or at least something very similar.
But how was she to know it would be this horrific?
The cold breeze blew her hood off her head and cooled down her skin. That's when she took in her appearance. There was charcoal wiped so much across her skin. Burns marks here and there which she could see healing already.
Small rips in her pants made her skin crawl with the wind, and her boots were almost back. More tears began to fall as she looked at her feet. "It wasn't me!" She cried to herself, "It's not me!"
She furiously began to pull at her shoes, watching as she threw them to the ground. It was like she was trying to throw her secret away. Throwing away what she had become.
"It's not me..." More tears fell from her eyes.
By throwing them away, she hoped that if she looked normal, then she could feel normal. Like herself. But she could never be the same again, not after what she just did.
She did it for love. She loved Blayze and that's all that matters.
But they were your friends...
"I know..." She whispered to herself, looking down at the ring. That symbol, it means Rebel. They were a united cause, and it seems like they were a family.
And she ruined that family...
She put her hood up and turned away from the burning mess of what became her home. The place that they welcomed her into.
At least she got some of them out.
She wiped away some of her tears, trying to force a smile out of it. She got them out, they're safe. There's nothing that they can do to hurt Blayze, and they're so insignificant that Blayze won't go after them.
Maybe there will be more she can do for those in the castle? Blayze just wants them locked up, so maybe she can make their lives a little more pleasant?
She was sure.
She kept going, jumping from tree to tree, back to her love.
He'll love her after this? Right?
...
Well, you made it to the end of the chapter! What do you think? Please let me know what you guy thought! It's intense right?! I had no idea Tamika would do that…did you?
Have a magical day!
Until Next Time,
Silva Out!
