TW, if you didn't read the previous chapter or didn't realize it, discussion of torture ahead.

"I feel like a weight had been lifted," Dagur sighed. "Iris was right. I needed that. The closure."

"She's a smart woman," Hiccup commented. Toothless growled in agreement.

"Now we just need to find Heather and tell her what happened," Fishlegs shouted. "She'll be so-Hiccup is that Astrid?"

Dagur looked forward and frowned. It did look like Astrid but she was on Enigma, who was heavily bandaged. The dragon started screaming the moment she spotted Jager. Jager responded with a frantic roar.

"Dagur!" Astrid started yelling. "Dagur! They have her!"

"Have who?" Hiccup shouted but Dagur felt the blood drain from his face.

"No," he whispered. "No! IRIS! WHO HAS HER?"

"Dragon Hunters," Astrid cried. Tears streamed down her face. "They shot down Enigma with this strange form of Dragon Root and kidnapped Iris! Stormfly is hurt as well! We tried to go after them but they attacked us and hurt Stormfly so she can't fly!"

"Where are they?" Dagur snarled.

"They headed west. Two of the Windstriker Riders followed them. The Berserkers already have their war ships ready and going after them. Dagur, she's in danger!"

His hands shook with rage and fear. The look of utter terror in Enigma's red eyes was enough to push him off the edge. All he wanted was to kill, kill the people who took his wife.

"We're coming with you," Hiccup said firmly. "We're going to help you get her back."

"I'm going to kill them all," he growled. "Every last one of them. They'll regret even looking in her direction." A feral grin spread across his face as he began to laugh. "They haven't seen deranged yet!"

"Looks like your people are loyal," Viggo commented idly. "We just got a report that the Berserker fleet is following us with some interesting dragons riding on the lead ship."

Iris didn't say anything. She couldn't even if she wanted to. Her jaw hurt too much. Everything hurt too much. All she could do was sit against the back of the cell and stare.

For the last day she'd been subject to several beatings. Revenge for what she had put them through Viggo claimed. The men who handed out the punishment enjoyed it far too much to the point even Viggo had to stop them. Not before she was bloodied and bruised though.

She could barely see out of her left eye. Her back screamed in pain from them whipping her. That added to the pain in her wrists as they tied her up to keep her from trying to get away from the whip. Her legs burned as well with whip lashes. At least it distracted her from the pain on the side of her head.

Krogan never came back to where she was being held but Viggo stuck around. He sat in a chair near her cell and simply watched her. When she was being punished he would look away once in awhile. It seemed the torture she was being put through wasn't his cup of tea. He didn't do anything to stop it though.

"At least Berserkers have that," he continued. "Loyal to a fault."

"He's going to kill you," she mumbled thickly. "Dagur is going to kill you all."

"Keep telling yourself that," Viggo chuckled. "Somehow I don't think he will."

A series of thuds made her flinch. Something heavy had dropped onto the deck above her. Even Viggo looked up with a raised eyebrow. He didn't seem too surprised though.

"Krogan wants the wench topside," a man said. He held a rope. "Secured."

"Understood."

Viggo unlocked the cell and took the rope from the man. She glared at him, pulling her leg towards her in preparation to kick him. He just chuckled before grabbing her by her hair and dragging her up. Quickly he pressed her against the cell bars and jerked her arms back. He'd had practice doing this.

"Behave and it won't be so bad," Viggo drawled. She scowled. "Come on now. I know you can walk."

Slowly she was guided out of the cell and through the door. More cells lined the hallway outside of the room she was kept in. Only these ones had dragons in them, Singetails. Each growled at her dangerously as she and Viggo walked past. How hadn't she heard them before?

The stairs were painful but she managed to get up them without any help from Viggo. The door opened and sunlight blinded her for a second. A familiar voice swore. Her heart jumped as she forced her one clear eye to focus.

With Jager by his side at the prow of the ship was Dagur. Hiccup and Astrid stood next to him with Toothless besides them. Rage darkened Dagur's face while Hiccup looked almost sick. Astrid looked terrified, understandably given what she knew about her current condition. Iris tried to not think about it. She knew she'd break down in sheer terror if she took the risk of thinking about the wellbeing of the new life inside her.

"I wouldn't if I were you," Krogen laughed. "You don't want to see your precious chieftess even worse now do you?"

"You're a dead man Krogan," Dagur snarled.

"Iris," Astrid started but Krogan cut her off.

"If you want her back you better hand over the lens you have," he threatened, staring at Hiccup. "All of them."

"Why do you want," Hiccup started to say but Iris cut him off.

"They aren't giving you anything moron," she said. He scowled at her. "Oh so scary. I'm shaking in my boots."

"Iris be quiet," Dagur snarled.

"I'm not letting them get what they want," she snapped. "Not until-"

A roar interrupted her. Enigma shot up into the air, snarling. A fireball shot from her maw and hit the ship mast. The sails caught on fire as the mast began to creak. Fishlegs and Meatlug showed up as well with Meatlug spitting flaming rocks onto the ship deck.

Iris tried to take the opportunity to dart towards Dagur but Krogan got to her first. He yanked her back by her hair with a snarl, knife pointed at her throat.

"Try anything and I'll slice her throat open," he threatened as Dagur stepped towards them. He didn't stop, just kept walking straight for them. "Stop! I'll do it!"

"No you won't," Iris sneered.

Quickly she jerked her head back. The back of her head caught Krogan's chin causing him to swear. His hold loosened ever so slightly that Iris jerked away from him. Quickly she darted out of his reach but trapped herself against the ship railing. He recovered quickly and leaped at her with a snarl.

Before she could move he had his hand around her throat. Rage turned his face an ugly purple but he was strangely calm. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small vial. Iris eyed it nervously, trying to take small breaths as his hand tightened around her throat.

"Bottoms up," he chuckled dangerously. He forced her mouth open and poured the contents in her mouth.

She tried to spit it out but he clamped his other hand over her mouth. Still holding her by the throat he shook her slightly. Unconsciously she swallowed the vial contents. It burned her throat but she had little time to react. Krogan threw her off the ship as if she was a ragdoll with a sick laugh.

It hurt to breath but she forced herself to take a deep breath before hitting the water. The force almost knocked that breath right out of her but she forced herself to stay calm. The worst thing she could do now was panic. That would be deadly.

This is how I'm going to die, she thought to herself. She sank further into the ocean water. Her wounds burned at the touch of the salt water and her legs were too weak to kick her to the surface while her arms were trapped behind her back. Drowning in an ocean. All alone.

If she hadn't been in the water she would have felt the tears running down her face. Right now she didn't know if she was crying or not though. Water was everywhere and everything hurt. Even her stomach hurt thanks to whatever that stuff was Krogan made her drank. It was probably poison. Why else would he make her drink something before tossing her into the ocean?

All she wished was to see Dagur one more time. See him laughing, teasing her while she teased him right back. Watching the wind tousle his hair as they rode through the sky on Jager and Enigma. Hear him say I love you one more time.

Her lungs screamed with the need to breath. It was all her body wanted, air. She knew she couldn't but the desire to inhale was more than she could handle. Water flooded her lungs as she uselessly gasped. At least the water helped take away the burning residue the poison left behind. It settled the pain in her belly as well.

She wondered how deep she had sank. Everything felt slow. Might as well look before dying. Slowly she opened her right eye. She couldn't see the sky but the water around her was bright and clear. Dark spots in her vision ruined the view but her brain just accepted it. Something dark moved over her.

Something grabbed her and jerked her upwards. She felt her head roll on its own from the movement. Green eyes filled her vision, still spotted with dark spots. Those eyes were familiar. Iris knew them. For a second she smiled. She got to see her favorite eyes before dying as darkness consumed her vision.
