Hey Guys! Sorry that I've been MIA for the past few months. But here's the next chapter! I hope you guys enjoy this! It was good to get back to writing again!
A massive thank you to Ellawills002 and hifivebuddy who are new to the ATOM family. I love you both!
Foxchick1: Oh, there is so much more that you're going find out my love. And I'm excited for you to find out.
…
The cells were flooded and not by water. Enchanted of almost every element we're piled up against the bars and walls of the cells, none of them able to do anything about it. Guards were posted every few metres, standing still and emotionless to their pleas.
Tamika felt her stomach drop and her heart ache every time she looked at them. Them? They have names, feelings… they were her friends. Regardless of how she only met them not long ago, they accepted her, made her feel wanted. And she betrayed them…who does that?
As she walked past, she could hear the whispers they spoke about her. They called her the traitor, the snitch, take your pick. She heard them all every time she went near the cells.
She walked up to one of the cages, which had thicker bars, and was much harder to break out of. This cell was for the strongest of the strong.
Inside were four enchanted, three boys and one girl. The blonde girl crouched down in front of the cage, holding a piece of bread out to the girl in the cage. Her head was against her knees, she hugged her knees tightly, with the light orange hair. She was a mess, having not been cleaned up since her last fight.
"Starving yourself isn't a good solution," Tamika holds of the offering to the girl, "Take it."
The girl didn't respond, only looking the other way.
The blonde sighed sadly, "You don't have to be talk to me, I just need you to eat it…"
"You should leave…" Blitz darkly said from across the room locking eyes with the blonde. Everyone in that cage locked eyes with her, expect for Ellie. Blitz, Bongo and Mex all wanted her to leave, none of them wanted anything to do with her anymore.
Tamika bit her lip, "I never wanted this Ellie," there was sincerity in her voice, she meant it, "I just wanted you to know that."
With a sigh, she left the bread on the bottom of the cell and I moved up these stairs, towards the throne room.
Leaving was the best idea, for both their sakes and hers. She didn't want them to hate her more than they already did. It was hard enough having Ellie not talk to her and Blitz just telling her to leave.
And those eyes. In only a matter of hours did those eyes change from ones with hope and fight, to anger and hate…and it was all her fault.
Tamika made it to the big wooden door of the throne room, which was now branded with the Fireon symbol. Just another sign of a hostile takeover.
But it made Blayze happy right? So, she had to pretend to be happy about this all.
The door was almost silent as she slipped through. There were so many of the higher ups of the Fireon army in this one room, she felt like she needed to keep her head down. They always looked down on her, so if she just stayed out of the way, it'll be better for everyone.
A pair of red eyes locked with her own from across the room, the one set of eyes who didn't seem to mind if she was there.
She quickly looked down again and made her way around the side of the room, hiding in the crowd but not too far away from the throne. The blonde happened to notice that every time she looked up the boy on the throne had never looked away from her.
Until he spoke, "My loyal followers!" His voice filled up the room so easily. One would describe it as strong, powerful and very triumphant. "Tonight, we celebrate! For we have taken back both Zephyra and Marilla!"
The crowd roared in a cheer, with soldiers raising their fists into the air. These were the ones who weren't under Blayze's command. Tamika could tell because normally those who are under whatever spell Blayze's was, were normally lifeless unless told otherwise by the king himself.
"And it's all thanks to our little spy…" he continues, and the girl's breath got caught in her throat. "Tamika." He beckoned, and she froze. All eyes were on her, And the crowd split, leaving her a perfect path to walk through.
She looked around at everyone, surprised and scared. She didn't want the attention for this, why should she? All those in the cells she betrayed in order for this. It's awful.
The blond slowly made her way up to the throne, with her sisters glaring at her the whole time. If that wasn't enough to scare her, it was everyone else's stares. She gave a small awkward wave and shuffled in next to Blayze.
The boy stood, placing a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to him and he smiled down at her, "Thanks to Tamika, a new era has begun!"
Tamika bit her lip and tried to contain herself. All she could think about were those in the dungeon, which over shadowed fact that the love of her life was complimenting her and telling the crowd what a great job she had done. But still, was it worth it?
"Ember, Amber," Blayze snapped his finger, breaking Tamika's thoughts.
The twins had a vile smile on their faces as they left the room. It made Tamika's stomach drop that look.
"This is just for you," He whispers into her head as she hears screaming coming from the back of the room.
"LET GO OF ME! I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS!" A voice filled the room, shaking Tamika to her core.
The name hitched in her throat, "Ellie…"
At the mention of her name the girl stopped screaming and looked at Tamika dead in the eyes. "You…" her eyes lit up with lightning, "This is all your FAULT!"
Tamika went to speak but thought against it. She couldn't really bring herself to say anything, not after all that.
"I thought I'd show you all the punishment of disobeying me." Blayze paraded around in front of Ellie, and she watched him like a hawk. She tried to lunge forward at him, but the twins held her back, grunting as they kept her knelt to the ground.
The twins looked up at their leader, "Do it." It sounded like a demand, but it looked like Blayze didn't mind.
He stalked over to the girl, picking up her chin so she looked him dead in the eye, "You're quite the little bolt of lightning, aren't you?" Blayze teased, "Now, you get what's coming to you!"
The ring on his hand which held the girls face sprung to life, glowing with a crimson red hue.
Tamika clenched her fists tight, trying to block out the sounds of Ellie's screams.
"This is all your fault Tamika! You did this! You lied to us!" Her screams echoed around the rooms as Tamika turned to look at the ground, letting tears fall, "Don't you turn away from me! I was your friend! You are nothing to us! We should never have accepted you!"
The blonde couldn't do it anymore, she turned on her heels and ran, leaving Ellie's echoing screams of agony haunting the throne room.
…
From the corner of his eyes he watched her run. That was something he'd deal with later.
Glowing red swirls of light floated around the girl's head as she thrashed around as much as she could. Flickers of lightning were radiating out of her eyes, but they were slowly being taken over by the red glow.
Her scream filled Blayze's ear, and he grinned, "Thank you by the way." He whispers to her ear as she stopped thrashing her head around. Her eyes were filled with red, and she stopped moving, "For showing Tamika that you don't want any part of her. We couldn't have her trying to break out guys out now do we."
Ellie stood from the ground, standing up right with an unnatural posture. He eyes were black to their bright blue colour, but that was all they were. Blue. There was just a lifeless look in her eyes, with no hope or emotion.
She was just a shell, a puppet if you wish. There was no more Ellie, just someone that looked like her who was under Blayze's control. She was gone.
"Now my pawn," Blayze demanded, and the body just moved her head towards the King, "Tell me, where's Che' and Ghost?"
"Location, unknown." He response was dry and lacked any sort of emotion.
He sighed, "Useless…" He muttered under his breath, "But you know who would know?"
She nodded her head, before giving her response, "Tamika."
Blayze rose his eyebrows in surprise. "Well now that's not useless." His head ran with him thoughts, thinking of how-to best handle this. This could be hard, and whilst he knew Tamika wouldn't lie to him, he knew that these were her friends.
Where do her loyalties lie?
"Take her where the other puppets are." he demands, before he dismissed the group in front of him.
He sat on the throne, just relaxing into it with a sigh. Tamika couldn't lie to him, but is that the same of withholding information? Why did he feel angry about this? He was so close to completing his goal, and yet she is basically refusing to help!
Why?!
He let off a snarl before moving out to the room, moving with a pace which would make you want to jump out of the way. He was on a mission.
…
Tamika ran from the room, with her hands covering her ears and tears in her eyes. This couldn't be happening, why? Why?
"Ellie…" she whispered running out onto a balcony, feeling the fresh air hit her skin. She felt like she could breathe, like she was free.
But how could she be free, knowing what she's done? Her friends are split up, and some of them are in danger. Nic, Che' and Ghost are just out there hiding somewhere, safe. But Ellie, Blitz, Bongo, Mex… they're all done for.
She couldn't tell Blayze that she helped them get out. How could she? Everything she did, she did for his love, but was it worth it at this point?
He praised her, he put a tender hand on her shoulder. It's the most affection she's ever felt from him, but why did it seem so wrong?
She loved Blayze. Or did she? "I don't know!" She huffed, leaning up against the railing.
The sound of Ellie screaming seemed to have stopped. He did it. He took control of her too.
A small tear fell, hitting the railing. She bit her lip, thinking about Nic. She missed her friends. She drew them, well, she drew stick figures of them, melting her drawing into rock railing. Was she doing the right thing?
"Tamika." Nerves filled her stomach as she panicked and turned around. It was Blayze, in the doorway with his arms folded.
"Blayze…" she breathed, heating up her hands and melting back over her little art piece.
He was stood there with his arms crossed in front of his chest, "I'm very Impressed with you. You managed to surprise me." He began walking towards her sons she felt butterflies in her stomach.
Whether that was a good thing on or not, she couldn't tell.
"Me? Oh, um, thanks. But I just did what you said to do!" She laughed nervously, thinking how he caught her by surprise.
He smirked at her, "But where's the leader?"
The question took her by surprise. "The leader?" She repeated, feeling herself push further back into onto the railing, trying to keep the space between them.
"Is that not what I said?" He stepped closer. She couldn't understand why she wanted him to leave, or why the other half wanted him to kiss her. "So, where are he?"
Her stomach was in a knot as he leaned in close. She looked at the ground, avoiding those piercing red eyes, "They got the jump on me. I don't know where to they went." She kept her head down, know that it's next to impossible to lie to him.
Blayze raised an eyebrow, "They? How many?"
She bit her lip, "Three."
"You let three escape!?" His tone was frustrated before he calmed down, "We need them to be tracked down. And I need you to do it."
Tamika gulped, "Track them down? How am I supposed to do that?"
"You're a smart girl," He smirked, turning away from her, "And I might say smarter than your sisters."
Her stomach was filled with butterflies hearing that, "Really?" No one had ever said that to her before.
Blayze looked back over his shoulder, "There's no way that those two would be been able to do what I asked you to. You're different, I like that."
She could feel the butterflies flying in circles, "You think so?" She shuffled closer, looking at him awe
"So, there is now one more thing I need for you to do," He placed a hand under her chin and turned it to the side, gently giving it a small kiss, "Get them for me."
Tamika was frozen, with whatever animal was in her stomach was being thrown around by a tornado. The heat rose throughout her whole body as the feeling of his lips on her cheek.
With a breath she looked at him, in awe before blinking at him a few times, an idea forming, "But there's only three of them, they can't cause any trouble."
Blayze looked at her with surprise, "So, you mean to tell me that one of the most elusive people is still out there. Not to mention the fact that Che' wasn't accounted for in the cell, so I can only assume that one of the smartest on Asteria is with him." Blayze eyes were filled with rage, "And whoever else is with him. Some little side kick that good for nothing. He's probably just dead weight."
"That's not true!" Tamika snapped, before her hands flew to her mouth, realising that she'd said it out loud.
Blayze turned to her in anger, "SO YOU'RE DEFENDING THEM!?"
Tamika took a step away, noting the fire in his hands.
"No, I-,"
"Tell me you're not actually friends with them?" The look in his eyes was dangerous and she panicked.
With one swift move she was in the floor, kneeling before him but her eyes were never to meet his. "No," she was quick to respond, "Of course not."
There was no way she was going to meet his eyes. If she was to see Ghost, Nic or Che' again, she needed it to be on a mission, rather than sneaking out of the castle.
"Keep it that way."
She didn't stand, she only kept her head down. There was no way she could look at him, not after this. This scared her, but maybe it was for the best.
Maybe she can get Che', Nic and Ghost out to safety. Or bring them in safely here. Maybe they wouldn't get it so bad? Either way, this was something that she had to do.
The watched as Blayze's boots left her peripheral vision and she let go of the breath she didn't realise she was holding. The girl slowly looked up, seeing that he wasn't there. She was alone one a gain and it was relieving.
...
Georgia P.O.V
With every step I felt the light thud of my necklace hit my chest. I could help but smile at it. I had it back!
...Hikaru got it back for me. I still can't believe it. Actually, I can't believe I kissed his cheek...oh my god...I kissed his cheek. Oh god that's embarrassing! Why did I do that? But would I do it again?
"GOOD MORNING!" A loud voice made me jump. My heart was racing, and I turned to see Ritsu behind me with a big...um, smile on his face.
Honestly it was scarier than anything. He was trying too hard, "Morning," I smiled sweetly, "Nice try with the smile. Still could use a small tweak." His smile dropped when I said that, "But we'll work on it."
A smaller smile came back to his face, before he noticed something, "Your necklace is back."
I felt it in my fingers, "Um yeah," Before i realised something, "Wait, how did you know it was gone?"
He let off a smirk, "You don't think I heard about the girl who kicked the shit out of the Hitachiin for selling her necklace online."
Chuckling I faced him, "Well now that I did do."
"I'm glad that It's back though," A genuine smile appeared on his face. Soft, and warm. Just not something that's going freeze everyone around us. "I know it means a lot to you."
My hold hand grabbed the locket, "It really does."
Ritsu's head snapped up noticing the two seniors across the courtyard. His pace quickened as he noticed both Mori and Honey walking towards us, hurrying to meet them.
In a quick moment he knelt before them, "BIG BROHER MORINOZUKA! I JUST WANTED TO SAY GOOD MORNING!"
"Good morning to you, Bossanova!" The small senior waved at him.
A chilled washed over everyone around us as Ritsu opened his mouth, "RIGHT BACK AT YOU HANINOZUKA-SENPAI!" Everyone around us just froze, looking at Ritsu with fear in their eyes.
I pressed my lips together, cringing at the sight before me.
Honey jumped back, behind Mori before poking his head out to wave at me, "Right back at you."
Ritsu bowed closer to the ground, holding out his hands, "Allow me to carry your bag back to your classroom, senpai."
Mori was calm, and politely shook his head, "That's okay, I can manage."
I noticed Mori's eyes shift upwards for a split second before pushing the crimson haired boy on the forehead, sending him flying backwards. I hit the ground from the impact of him hitting me too. "What the hell are you…"
Ritsu stopped, noticing the pot crash on the, shattering on impact. The smell of the soil hit my nose, and I could tell that it was only freshly planted.
I looked upward, remembering that the garden club added new plants to the building above us, not to mention the plant fell from right above us. I shielded my eyes, almost
Another shatter got my attention. Only off to our right was the second shattered pot with the limp plant sprawled out on the ground with shards from the terracotta scattered around. I trailed my eyes upward, looking at the knife which was embedded in the wall.
"Let that be the last time I save your ass." A grouchy voice walked past us, grabbing the knife from inside the wall and tucking it back into her Doc martin.
Honey bounced up onto Mori, "Niko-Chan! That was awesome."
She looked back over her shoulder at the senior, "No surprises there..."
It seems that all the students seemed to run away at the sight of the knife. Everything was just cleared.
I helped Ritsu up, but he just wouldn't stop staring at Mori. "I can't believe you brought a knife to a god damn private school." I growl at the girl.
She rolled her eyes at me, "It's not a big one."
"That is not the right response!" I exaggerate, and she just rolls her eyes.
"Ok kid, I promise I won't hit anyone with it." She says in a sarcastic tone.
I glare at her, "I think the technical term is 'stab'." I point out, "And good. How do you even get in? Does this school not have security?"
She walked past me, heading towards the general direction of the club room. "Pft, you think security would stop me?" She stopped and turned her head over her shoulder, "Besides, we've got something so much more fun to worry about."
…
...
"Huh? Somebody's out to get Mori Senpai?" Tamaki sat forward from the couch, taking in the information.
I sat on the ground in front of the couch, with my head up against Haruhi's legs. She didn't seem to mind.
"No doubt about it. I was there. I saw everything. He's obviously gotten on somebody's bad side." Ritsu was sure. And you could tell he was angry. He felt like he had to protect his mentor.
Everyone was in shock and disbelief.
I mean I would be too, had I not seen it. But why would someone want to try hurt Mori?
"Nah, that's impossible." Hikaru shook his head.
"There's no way Mori senpai would ever be on somebody's bad side." Kaoru matched his brother.
The red-haired boy got even more riled up, "How can you be so sure? You don't know that!" He turned to me, "You saw it too."
I nodded my head, "Yeah, something's up. We need to be on high alert."
Tamika smirked, jumping from his seat, and pulling out the whiteboard, "Don't you worry your pretty little head about that. Operation Bossonova's Total Image Makeover is in full effect as of right now."
Tamaki's three little helpers all sprang to life saluting. "Yes Sir!"
"Do they always do what he says?" Niko rolled her eyes as she perched herself on the arm rest, arms crossed across her chest. She then noticed the terrified look on Ritsu's face, "Now this will be good."
"Hold on!" he shouted as Honey and the twins began to corner him, "What the hell are you talking about?! What do you mean you're starting right now?! Are we going to pretend that yesterday never happened?! Thanks to yesterday's makeover, people were even more afraid of me than they usually are!"
Niko smirked, "I'll hold him down, you get him." The crimson haired girl was ready to pound, but that evil looks on her face told me that he needed to run.
"Sounds like a plan." The twins matched her smirk.
Tamaki stepped forward, "Now hold on a second. Let me explain Bossanova. We all support you and we're behind you one hundred percent. Yesterday, the twins just got a little...carried away. I hope you'll forgive them."
I locked eyes with Hikaru, letting Tamaki's words settle in. My hand went to my necklace and I felt my stomach twist. I forgive him. I forgive Hikaru. A small giggle escaped my lips a I smiled at him. He seemed to match my look. He's happy that I do.
"I'm sorry." Ritsu bowed his head, causing Niko to freeze in her approach. "I will follow your lead from here on out."
Niko just seemed taken back by this. "Niko, you ok?" I ask and she shakes her head as if snapping out of her thoughts.
"Never been better." The sarcasm was so thick you could probably cut it with a knife.
Remind me to never ask her that again.
Haruhi tapped Ritsu on the shoulder, "Hey Casanova." She caught his attention, "Just thought I'd warn you. I wouldn't put too much faith in that bunch if I were you."
I nodded, "They're great and all...they're just idiots."
Ritsu shook head, "Well thank you, but Morinozuka-senpai recommend these guys to me. Besides, I don't have much of a choice. Without their help, I've got nothing." He cocked his head to the side, "Hey, I don't think I've met you before. What's your name?"
Haruhi smiled, "I'm Haruhi Fujioka. We're both first years. Just like you I was admitted when I got to high school. I guess we're buddies!" She sweetly smiles at him.
His eyes lit up, "Buddies?" Just the word coming out of his mouth it felt foreign, "So Haruhi, do you like to play Kick the Can?"
She thought about it for a moment, "Well, um, to be honest, it's not my favourite thing in the world." The boy's eyes dulled hearing that, "But you know, it might be fun once in a while."
Ritsu looked like he was having a bit of a breakdown, "You ok Ritsu?"
He didn't even to take in my question.
"BOSSONOVA!"
The boy sprang to life hearing his name, "YES?!"
"I think we've finally come up with something that'll change your tough guy image."
…
So, what did you all think?
The next chapter should be coming out pretty soon to make up for it! But thank you all for getting this far!
Until Next Time!
