Hey guys! I know it's been a while!
BethxAngel, Cia-Scarlett, EmberFlamepire, Laural Victoria Gordon – DaSilva, EchoBeann for either following me or the story! Welcome to this really slow-release story ahaha.
…
"What's the matter Tamaki?" Kyoya looked down at Tamaki, as he just sat there.
The blonde boy was still sat on the floor, staring at the scene before him. There was no change in his expression when he said, "When I think about how Bossanova must have been feeling, my heart goes out to him a little."
I noticed the dark-haired boy smirk, know exactly what he was thinking, "That's strange isn't it?" He points out, "I mean, as Haruhi's father, you shouldn't feel sympathy for the man who was trying to take your precious little girl away."
The only reaction we got was the slight tilt on of the head. I doubt he's ever going to go and get it.
"LET'S GO!" The twins shout, as they point to the door before taking off in that direction, with everyone else in tow.
Tamaki bounded up, noticing Haruhi walk past, grabbing her around the shoulders and began rambling at how they were all going to hide together in a super special spot or something.
Kyoya let off a small huff, "Well, I suppose we must be going."
I nodded, moving with Kyoya towards the door, before he stops and turns around. "You're not coming, Niko?"
Something that I had failed to notice was the fact that she has since moved to the window. The boy and I look at one another, confused when she didn't answer.
I could tell something dark was going on over there. Walking over to her, the feeling got worse the closer I got. "Niko?"
"Leave me alone!" My hand had barely touched her shoulder, before it was caught and twisted by her own hand. Then, I was on the ground. The coolness of the tiles, almost felt refreshing, had it not been for the winded feeling I felt.
Her grip on me loosened quite quickly, and she mumbled something I couldn't quite catch.
I groaned and looked over at Kyoya, "And you just stood there and watched it happen huh?"
He smirked at me, "It doesn't require intelligence to know what was going to happen if you went to grab her shoulder."
"Ha, ha, very funny." I groaned, sitting up.
Niko just left the room, she looked like she shut herself down. No emotion, not nothing. But she left anyway.
The boy shrugged, "At least she isn't in the room anymore. She isn't enrolled in this school. And it turns out that she's scared security, so it is our responsibility to make sure that nothing happens regarding her."
...
Everyone was out in the garden, ready to race. Niko stepped up to the plate and was ready to kick.
And then she did. "Go get it, Ritzy!"
Everyone squealed in delight as they took off finding a place to hide. I laughed at them all, it was so amusing to see all these prissy princess girls run around like the common folk.
I took off running, not sure where I was going. But I was determined not to be found. After turning a few corners in the garden maze, I fell.
"Ow..." I groaned, sitting up.
"Damn...are you ok?"
I looked up and saw the older twin in front of me.
"Hikaru?" I questioned, but quickly replaced the shock with panic when I heard Ritsu come our way. "Quick!" I shout, grabbing his hand and pulling him into the hedge with me.
My magic created a gap in the place large enough for us to sit comfortably, but small enough so that you wouldn't be able to tell that we were there. We both fluffed the bushes around the entrance hole that we (well, me) had just created, making it look as natural as possible.
"How did you-" I placed my hand over his mouth and shushed him, shaking my to silently reiterate that we were supposed to be quiet.
He nodded, and I took my hand away from his mouth. "How did you know this was here?" He said in a very soft whisper, and I just shrugged.
"I saw it as I fell?" I answer, but honestly, it sounded like I was trying to tell myself that more than him.
He narrowed his eyes at me and began to say something but stopped and stiffened as footsteps came crunching past us. I could tell that they were Ritsu's based on his shoes and pants. Squinting through the tiniest of gaps in the bush near the top, I could see the dark red hair.
My eyes widen and a grin crept onto my face as I looked at the boy across from me. He shared the same mix of excitement, fear and happiness as the unknowing red-haired boy walked past.
The sound of the footsteps slowly faded into nothing, and both of us let out a sigh and a giggle. "Oh my god." I mouthed to him, and he nodded back at me the excitement on his face.
I leant forward, trying to catch the last glimpse of Ritsu's shoes, but I lost balance. As quietly as I could, I caught myself, almost falling on top of the boy, but he steadied me, catching my arms.
My eyes widened as I heard the footsteps return towards us. My breath hitched in my throat, and everything tensed, as Hikaru and I just looked between each other and the edge of the rose bush hedge.
But as quickly as they came back, they left again.
I let out a quick breath of relief. With a slight huff of a laugh as I looked at the boy in front of me. He was already staring at me.
And then it happened.
I don't what the hell I was thinking.
It was quick, and I think I was just as surprised as he was.
I just kissed him.
"I-", I began to stammer as I'm pretty sure I went bright red. Oh my god...i just did that. "I'm sorry."
His amber eyes weren't even looking into mine, but intensely staring at the ground. His lips were parted, as if going to say something but he did.
He just said noting.
My stomach sank, and I felt like I was about to cry. I mean, did I even know if he felt like this towards me? Or if he even wanted this from me?
"I'm sorry." I stood up and jumped out of the hedge, running away from the boy that I just kissed!
I just kissed him.
I kissed Hikaru.
"Fuck." I shout running towards the music room.
I ran and ran, with my footsteps echoing down the hallway.
"You think he will ever accept you when you speak like this? Yuki."
The marble floors slid me to a halt as the words echoed around the hallway. I hadn't even noticed her as I ran past. A face I hadn't seen for a long time.
As I didn't turn around as I knew she wasn't facing me. She wouldn't give me the time of day.
"Miwako...What are you doing here." just saying her name left a bad taste in my mouth.
"It's just Miwa now, that's my professional name." I rolled my eyes hearing it. "I've been on tour with his parents."
I blink a few times, "Whose parents?"
I heard her giggle, before the sound of her feet shuffling to face me, so I did too, "Hikaru's of course."
Her words took me back for a second, "Ok...?" My stomach began to spin at the thought of the boy.
She rolled her eyes at me, "Still thick in the head." She looks out the window to the side of us, looking at the boy in the garden, "I have sources that tell me that you had your greasy little hands all over Hikaru."
I looked down at her dress, noticing that it was an Ouran uniform, and my stomach tightened, "You transferred back?"
She looked at her nails, before looking at me, "I was too good for that school."
"…and too much of a bitch for this one."
She gave off a huff of a fake laugh, "Funny. You better watch your back."
"And better watch yours." A third voice echoes down the hallway, coming from the end which Miwako's back was facing.
I saw the grin on Miwako's face before turning back to face her, "Ah. Niko. The girl, the myth, the mystery."
"Niko?" I whispered under my breath. How did she know I was here?
"You better leave," Niko threatens, standing in the shadows of the hallway, "Before you become the mystery."
Miwako wasn't threatened, "Is that at threat?" She mocked in a baby's voice, "Are you, a non-student, threatening me? A non Ouran student on Ouran grounds?" Before she turns back to me, "And with the Music Scholarship student helping her before they both attacked me? What would the Chairman say?"
I watched as her eyes glanced upwards to the security camera in the corner before reaching into her dress sleeve to pull out a remote.
It seemed to spark Niko's interest as she pushed herself up off the wall.
Miwako watched her carefully, pressing the button on the remote and instantly the camera angled away before angling back to face us. "I'd watch it if I were you." She warns to Niko before turning to face me, "This is your final warning."
"A warning? To stay away from a boy?" I question, "Are you serious? Thank god your parents made you transfer to Lobelia; you belong there with the other psychos!"
She smiled at me, "Oh lucky for you I've been transferred back."
Those words felt like a kick to my stomach.
A laugh escaped her lips, "I'll take your silence as confirmation that you're scared."
"I'm not scared." I shake off the feeling, though I'm not entirely sure what I feel for her exactly.
Niko laughed, "Bold to assume the Host Club would let you anywhere near them."
The girl before us began walking past Niko, heels clicking into the ground with every step, echoing throughout the hallway, "Oh don't worry. I don't need the host club to get close to him." She was about to round the corner when she stopped, looking at me with the side of her eye, and a malicious smile on her face, "I've got a plan in motion already."
Eventually, the sounds of her footsteps become the sound of silence, leaving just the hallway with Niko and me.
"You good kid?" She asks, I look at the red-haired girl who was leaning back up against the wall. "She's going to be a fun one to fuck with."
I let of a small chuckle as I walk towards her. "I'm good. As long as you let me help you with that."
...
Asteria, No one P.O.V
...
Through the calm of the night the three continued moving. Although tired, heated and bruised, they kept going, though, they're not entirely sure where.
Nic collapsed, momentarily catching his breath on the floor of the forest.
No one had said anything, though Ghost had kneeled beside him, putting his hand on the boy's shoulder.
Che's heart sank, seeing the two. They were exhausted, well, all of them were really.
"Take a break." She said with a whisper, her voice coming across weak, from the countless hours of walking whilst casting a spell. "God knows we need it."
The boys both look to the Night Witch with tired and understanding eyes.
Though she decided to sit, she did not break her concentration. The purple energy towed around her, radiating around for only a few feet, large enough to cover the three.
A darkness spell combined with an illusion spell. Simple in practice, for some, though the execution can be more difficult.
Though, for someone who devoted her life to studying and practicing complex spells, it's not as taxing as it should be.
She sat up against a tree, leaning her head back to look at the hued purple sky.
What are we in for now?
She thought to herself, sighing. They were down to three. From an army of almost a hundred, to three.
They have nowhere to go, nor was there a plan for bring this whole thing around. The first thought of action she must live to fight another day. Maybe they could replenish and fight again and break them free.
Tamika had already gotten them out before. Maybe it can be done again? If one person could get four out, why not have the thought that it can be done once more?
"You seem distressed."
A calm voice echoed over the night, catching the girl's attention from her thoughts. It almost seemed to echo around her, as if to taunt her, teasing the direction it came from.
She arose cautiously, looking around her with an acute alertness. What surprise was in store for her next? She doubted anything could be surprising after the day that they've had.
The echo of a soft chuckle filled her ears.
"No one ever thinks to look up."
And she did just that, with her eyes scanning the branches of the tree above her, only to land her eyes on nothing.
But I swear I…
"Heard something?" Her thoughts were voiced from one which was not her own.
A small gasped escaped the girls' lips as she turned to the tree beside her. Her violet eyes ran over the person's body, taking in who just appeared beside her.
Leaning against the tree, was a young man, could be older in appearance than herself. Short brown hair spiked upwards, neat and tidy. A white sleeve shirt draped across his body, with a lace at the collar only loosely done up.
The dark coloured pants he wore seems to fit him so nicely, accenting the waist. The shoes matched pants, keeping the attention on his upper body.
Blue piercing eyes looked right into her own, with a polite smile spread across his lips. "Sorry," He spoke, "I didn't mean to scare you. Let me introduce myself," He took a step forward, hand outstretched o rear to take, but was only. Greeted with her starring at his hand, "Oh you know what, fair enough."
He seemed to laugh with understanding at the girl's unease, "My name is Dominic Aventyr, lovely to make your acquaintance."
Che' didn't move, other than her eyes darting all over the boy's body, looking for signs of who knows what. She was too exhausted to fight, and she defiantly knew she couldn't win. But would that stop her?
What if he was sent by Blayze?
Her stomach flipped at the thought.
"You're nervous." He states, "Why is that?"
She blinked a few times taking in his words, before managing to say her own, "I'm not."
A small chuckle escaped his lips. "Crazy that." He said sliding his way behind the tree and vanishing as the girl tried to look. The only trace that he was there was a small trail of blue smoke. It only was there for a moment, before retreating into a sapling.
What caught her attention though, was the sapling which had begun to bloom.
Che' jumped, feeling breath on the back of her neck. She darted back a few paces, with her eyes glowing purple.
"I think you are."
Che' could see that he was radiating energy, but to the point where it was contained. And not a magic that she was physically familiar with, though there was something about it.
But with the fact that she had no idea where he derived his magic from, nor where he came from himself, it set her on edge.
"Don't be, I'm here to help." He looks her over for a moment, "For a price."
Che' took a step to the side, trying to keep the boys in her view. "What can you help with?" a sharp pain shot up her back as she shuffled herself around. "And what price?"
The boy paused for a moment ignoring her questions, "You're hurt?" His hands instinctively sprung out, "Please, allow me."
Dominic took a few paces forward, calmly and gently. Nothing raised an alarm for the girl, yet she was alarmed. Her eyes violently glowed purple, though she did not move at he came to her side.
"This is a taste of what I have to offer."
With a glowing blue light, he put his hand on her back began to heal and the cloth began to repair itself, to the point of it never happened.
A small gasp escaped her lips as she looked at the boy. She knew her magic was chaotic when it felt like it needed to protect her, though her body may not be able to keep up.
"Thank you." She breathed, feeling strength to move again. Although, this was not the healing magic which the Water Enchanted possessed. "Who are you?" She asked, despite knowing the answer.
"As I said, Dominic Aventyr, at your service." He bows, a hat appearing on his head seems for stylistic purpose, before it disappeared again.
Che' nodded her head again, taking in the site before her. His name matched up to none of the books that the studied. Nothing in the Royal library, and no one in the magic registry of someone with that name. She knew she was at least aware of the families within Asteria.
Aventyr was not one of them.
Although, alarmed as she was only moments ago, a sense of calm washed over her. "Che' Grey." She introduced herself, finally extending a hand for the boy to take.
"Beautiful name." He smiled at her sweetly, shaking her hand with a firm grip.
She nodded her head again, acknowledging his words, before looking back to where she had hidden the boys.
The boy seemed to follow her eyes, before asking, "Everything alright?"
Che' nodded, looking back to the boy, "Yes." She sensed her spell, being tampered with, so she had to refocus.
"Don't strain yourself, please," He warns, "I do know they're there."
Her spell faltered slightly, and the boys looked around curiously, before their eyes land on both Che' and Dominic.
The girl was tired, and he had no hostility, and the magic he possessed was non-threatening, despite the level of knowledge se had about it.
Ghost stood quickly, standing protectively over Nic, "Who are you?" He demands, with his eyes glowing grey, as the winds began to pick up around them.
Che watched Dominic noting that he was quick to react, calming putting his hands up in defence "Hello there, friend." He greets, carefully watching over the boys' movements, but his smile never faulters. "Lovely to meet you, my name is Dominic Aventyr. At your service."
The boy stood for a fight, "We don't need your help." Che' had actually managed to note how the boy stood, using his own magic to keep him upright.
Dominic let out a small laugh, "Are you sure about that mate? I'm here to off anything you need."
"We don't need anything." He snarled, the wind beginning to pick up once again.
Nic seemed to stand, "Sorry bud." Though hi stance faltered.
Che' watched the three boys beginning to fight, though, Dominic seemed unalarmed, and quite calm.
"Che', get over here." Ghost demanded, catching the girl off guard, being bossed around by her friend, though she understands where the tone came from.
Dominic scoffed at that, "That's not how you speak to a lady my friend," As he spoke, Dominic almost sounded threatening, "Nor should anyone speak to a lady like that."
A wash of fatigue washed over Che', and she took a deep breath. She felt her magic depleting, she needed to rest.
But the boys were right, she couldn't trust him. She didn't know him, regardless of how his magic intrigued her.
"I think it's best you leave," Che' spoke softly and kindly, but her eyes were cast at the ground, "I appreciate the offer though."
Her eyes slowly looked up and met Dominic's, "No problem." He shook his head, folding is arms across my chest, "Have a good night."
Within a moment, he vanished before their eyes, once again with the glowing blue smoke slowly moving its way into the ground, to another flower. But rather than the small plants on the ground blooming like before, they seemed to crumble instead.
