"Thanks Jessica. I will let you know if I need anything." Grace King said, setting up her laptop. King Towers got the contract for the Police Station
that housed S.W.A.T. Headquarters three years ago. Since then any computer glitch, update or complete melt down Grace was called to fix it.
Captain Jessica Cortez nodded, she leaned down and scratched the ears of the dog that accompanied Grace. "Please do." Cortez told her. "Hopefully you get out of here sooner then later." She grinned, looking at her watch.
"Don't Jinx me here Woman!" Grace scowled.
"Sorry." Jessica laughed, leaving her alone to get her work done.
Grace worked for three hours before standing up and stretching. She looked down at her dog Toast. He was her hearing assistant dog. "I need coffee." She told him. She locked her computer and headed out of the conference room. She walked to the kitchen and poured herself a cup of coffee. She looked down at Toast as he yawned. She followed suit. "You can't be starting that we have at least another six hours ahead of us." Her phone vibrated and Toast nudged her leg to alert her. She grinned. "I got that one." She pulled her phone out of her pocket and looked at the ticket that was added to her list of jobs to be completed by morning. "Rhys is going to kill us." She told Toast. She texted her brother. 'AS YOU SIT AT HOME DOING NOTHING' She teased. She looked at her watch. Her laptop had another hour to run scans. She sat at the table in the corner and put her hand under her chin and fell asleep. She knew Toast wouldn't wander far from her.

Luca and Chris walked into the kitchen looking for coffee. "OH." Chris said, surprised seeing a girl sleeping in one of the chairs, holding a
mug full of coffee. "Do we know her?" Chris asked, grabbing two mugs and pouring them both coffee. Keeping an eye on the sleeping girl.
"Hey Puppy." Luca greeted the dog. Who came up to him wagging his tail. Luca scratched the dogs ears. "Man why can't I bring my dog to work." Luca muttered as the dog rolled over for belly rubs. Luca grinned. "Well ain't you a friendly pup."
"Lose your hearing and you can." The girl said, stretching.
Luca looked up at her. "Sorry." He said, sheepishly.
She grinned. "Don't be. Wasn't your fault." She stood and went to reheat her coffee. "His name is Toast."
"That's an awesome name." Chris said, petting the dog as well. "He looks like a toasted marsh mellow."
"Exactly!" She answered. "I'm Grace." She introduced herself.
"Hey I am Chris." She said, from the floor playing with her dog. "Sorry I know he is a working dog, but he is too cute and you were sleeping." She
mentioned grinning.
"No worries. He is in training and I can hear most things. Just not in crowds." She admitted. "Beside he's a traitor he would follow you home if I let
him." Chris laughed.
"I'm Luca." He introduced himself, shaking her hand.
"Nice to meet you both." Her phone chimed and Toast jumped out of Chris's lap and nudged her leg. "I got that one Toast." She laughed. She looked at the message. "Sorry got to go back to work." She grabbed her coffee and headed back to the conference room. "Toast!" She called her dog when he didn't follow. "Say good bye to the nice people and get back to work." She muttered.

She heard Luca laugh and she grinned as she closed the door with her dog inside with her. He looked up at her and whined. "Sorry we are BOTH
working. Remember?" She asked Toast. He gave her sad puppy dog eyes and laid down. She went through the rest of the maintenance and looked at the clock. "Sheesh it's two am." She pulled out her phone and updated the ticket her brother sent her that she would be on her way soon. She closed her laptop sent Cortez a message. 'ALL GOOD. JUST NEED NEW INFO ON THE NEW EMPLOYEES. GOING TO CATCH SOME ZZZ.' She stretched and went and sat in the corner. She crossed her arms and fell asleep. She got two hours of sleep before her phone buzzed and Toast bounced on her lap to wake her up. "Toast." She scowled, but grinned. She stood up and stretched, cracking her back. She packed up her laptop and went to clean out her coffee mugs. She looked at her watch. Crap four am and she needed to get across town. She text her brother to send a car for her.
'BE THERE TEN M.' Her brother answered her back.
"Good." She muttered yawning. She had time for another cup of coffee. She poured herself another cup of coffee. "Toast!" She scowled as she spilled coffee all over her hand. She moved to the sink as someone beat her to the tap. She made a squeaking noise of surprise.
"Sorry." Luca said, as he turned the tap on for her. "My fault. I was talking to you and I forgo-" He stopped embarrassed.
"It's okay. My fault I am tired and it seems my deafness gets worse when I am sleep deprived." She admitted. Her hand was red but nothing too bad. She went and mopped up the coffee she split. "So you were talking to me?" She prompted.
"Oh." Luca said. "Just surprised you were still here."
"Job never ends." Her phone chirped. She looked at Toast and signed stay. "Got this one bud." She looked at her phone. "Rides here." She moved to the sink.
Luca took it from her. "I got it. You go. I hope your next job is easy."
"Thank-You." She told him, grabbing her bag. She headed out the door and a few minutes later came back. Toast was sitting at Lucas' feet, tail
wagging. "Traitor! Let's go." She snapped her fingers at Toast. She didn't miss the amused look on Lucas' face.
She waved at Chris as she passed her on the way out. She walked up to the black service car, greeting Rhys Driver. "Surprised he sent you."
She admitted.
Davis laughed. "I volunteered, figured you wouldn't want to deal with the new guy." He smirked.
"You are right. He talks too much and I am too tired to paste a fake smile and try to figure out what he is saying." She let Toast jump in first. "I'm
going to bed." She said, before he closed the door for her. She got comfortable and closed her eyes as the car pulled into traffic. Her phone rang and Davis laughed. She grinned as she answered the phone and spoke to the person in Korean. "WHY ARE YOU STILL AWAKE?" She asked him. Mr. Kim had been her first client when she started the business when she was twelve. His answer was why was she awake. "WORK. RHYS GETS ALL THE CREDIT AND I DO ALL THE WORK." She didn't get a nap after all she talked with him until they pulled up to her next client. "I GOT TO GO. LAST ONE OF THE DAY." She looked at her watch. "OR MORE LIKE THE FIRST ONE OF THE DAY." She chuckled. "BYE." She told him. She headed to the office building and the security officer met her at the door. She waved at Davis.
"Marcus." She greeted, as he held the door open for her.
"Ms. King." He greeted.
He escorted her to the elevator and they went to the basement. "I hate this place." She muttered as the doors opened to the darkest hallway she has ever been in. Even Toast growled. "I'm with you buddy." She told him, as Marcus unlocked the server room door. Thankfully this room was well lite or she would have Rhys here and she would work remotely. "Thanks Marcus. I will let you know when am done." She told him.
"Anytime Princess." He teased. "Want me to lock you in?" He asked.
She rolled her eyes at the stupid nickname. "No worries I will lock the door myself." She grinned, allowing him to close the door and she turned the three deadbolts. "Okay Toast. Lets get this done with so we can get out of here.
S.W.A.T.
Chris walked up to Luca and Tan. "So did you get her number?" She asked Luca, slapping his shoulder. They had just finished de-briefing and they were all heading their separate ways.
"Who's number?" Tan asked surprised.
"Hot Female with the dog. She was here earlier in the shift." Chris explained. "Would have gave her my number if I thought she was interested in
females." Luca and Tan gave her a look. "And if I wasn't in a serious relationship." She added. Tan laughed.
"No I didn't give her my number. Didn't think she was interested." Luca told her, nudging her with his elbow.
Chris laughed. "She was interested." Chris told him. "You were too busy playing with her dog."
"What did I miss? Dog?" Tan asked, as they got to the work out space. A large boxing ring was in the middle.
"She had this cute labrador?" Chris answered unsure. "His name was Toast. He was her hearing dog."
"Grace King?" Tan asked, surprised.
"You know her?" Chris asked shocked.
Tan laughed. "Who doesn't? She has been on the cover of every Tech Savvy Magazine since she was twelve. Not to mention every tabloid is watching to see what King Towers is up to next." Tan said, reaching in his bag. "If my Uncle got his way I would have been competing for an internship at King Towers." Tan pulled up a TIME Magazine. "The girl is a Genius." He stated giving the magazine to Luca. "Might want to do some research on your new girlfriend." Tan laughed at Luca.
Hondo and Captain Cortez walked up to them. "System updates are being done this morning. I need your team to stick around for another half an hour." Cortez told them and Hondo.
"Sure thing Captain." Hondo agreed, grinning at Chris and Tans' expressions. "It's thirty minutes." He told them.
"That I could be saying Hello and Goodbye to Bonnie as she leaves for work." Tan muttered, as they headed back to the conference room.
"Call her." Chris told him. Shaking her head at him. Hondo shook his head laughing as the rest of his team joined them. "Does that mean King is
coming back?" She asked Cortez, grinning at Luca
"She said she was on her way." Cortex answered looking at her phone.
"Tan so how genius is genius?" Chris asked, as they sat down to wait.
Tan laughed. "I got into M.I.T. after college. She got in when she was ten and I am still not even in the same league as Grace Kings' ten year old
self. No one is." Tan told her, as he texted Bonnie.
"Girl Power." Chris stated, grinning. "Toast!" She greeted the dog as he came running into the room. She rubbed him down as he wagged his tail. "You are failing your training." She told him, laughing. "Where is Grace?" She asked. His tail stopped wagging and he backed up and looked around the room. Everyone laughed.
Grace King came into the room and scowled at her dog. "I will deal with you later Traitor." She snapped her fingers and Toast came to her. "Jess told me to start with this room. As apparently some of you want to go home?" She told them. "Not sure why you all think you are so special, but not my problem." She commented. She opened her bag and pulled out her laptop and a finger print scanner. She flipped open the laptop and signed in. She flipped the scanner to the person on her left. "Officer Kay."

"Grace." He greeted smiling at her. He scanned his thumb and index finger on both hands. "How's it going?"
"Lets just say when you get to go home and see your family and sleep. I hate you." She grinned at him. "How many kids do you have now?" She teased.
"FOUR!" The rest shouted, laughing.
Grace laughed. "Sheesh and congrats on the last two!" She assigned his prints to his name and profile. "Information the same?" She asked. "With four kids probably?" She teased, the rest chuckled. "Pass it on to your friend." She motioned to Deacons' left. "Name?"
"Jim Street." He told her, following Deacons' example. "Info' hasn't changed." He stood up. "If we are done here I have a date."
Grace nodded. "Nice to meet you. Have a good breakfast date?" She told him. "Hondo you're up." Grace told him.
"How is it that you look gorgeous at eight AM and have been up for for the last forty-eight hours?" He teased at her.
Grace laughed. "Yeah I am not fixing your phone again." He laughed. "Besides don't want to test me right now. It's been seventy-two hours." She told him.
"Please?" He asked, grinning. "It's giving me an error message and I am not up for an upgrade for another six months." Hondo, slid his phone over.
"Information the same?" She asked, glancing at the laptop.
"Same."
She took his phone and looked at the error message on the screen. "Chris you're up." She told her. "Put Toast down!" She looked over at her. Shaking her head. Toast was in her lap drinking up all the attention. Chris shrugged as she scanned her prints, not putting Toast down. Grace flipped the phone in her hand and handed it to Hondo. "Shoot him next time." She told Deacon. "Hondo I told you this already. You can't trust all the game apps, especially in your line of work. You are lucky that it lasted this long. Next time go Apple, at least you need to have a brain to hack into those."
"You're a life saver." He grinned at her, standing up. "Thank you. Let me know if they give you any trouble." Hondo told her.
"Officer?" She asked.
"Tan." He told her, scanning his prints and giving her his new address. "Can I go?"
Grace pressed a few more keys. "You're free. Enjoy it." She told him, trying not to yawn. "Last but not least. Luca." She told him, grinning at him as Chris took Toast from his lap. "You two are ruining my dog." She muttered.
"Maybe he is not meant to be a working pup?" Chris told her, sheepishly.
"Well not with friends like you two." She teased. "Any information I need to change?" She asked him.
"Nope." Luca told her, still playing with Toast.
"Please tell me there is coffee." She muttered, looking at Chris and Luca playing with Toast. She walked into the hallway and met Jess and Hondo on the way. "You can send the next group to me whenever they are available. I can't deal with those two, I'm going for coffee." She told them.
Hondo looked at Chris and Luca with Toast, laughing.

"Officer Kay!" She called as she seen him leaving a room. "Do you have a moment?" She asked.
"Of course Grace. What can I do for you?"
"I am wondering if you are still interested in off duty jobs?"
"For you?" He asked.
Grace nodded. "I need a two team security for an event next Saturday night? You can pick the second person. Same deal 5k each for the evening. I pick up the suit rental bills you two will just have to go pick them out."
"Deal." Kay said, holding out his hand.
She shook his hand. "Message me the details." She handed him a business card. "Same place. Put it on my tab." She ducked into the kitchen and grabbed two mugs and filled them both with coffee. She headed back to the conference room Chris and Luca were gone and a sad Toast was left sitting there staring at the door and spent the next four hours updating officers information and adding new officers ranks. She had filled up her two mugs three times. She was backing up the files and packing her equipment up. She sent a message to Jess letting her know updates were done and she was out of here.

"Luca seriously why didn't you get her number?" Chris ragged on him. They were going out for breakfast and Tan agreed to join them since Bonnie
already left for work.
"Can we drop it." Luca gave Chris the death glare. "Not like I had an opportunity to anyways. I do feel a little bad for distracting her dog." He
looked at Chris pointedly.
"I know. We should try better next time." She agreed.
Tan laughed. "Sorry." He told them. "You two are soo dog crazy it's not even funny. Even the cute owner didn't distract either of you." Tan pointed
out as their breakfast arrived.
Luca looked at the caller ID when his phone rang. "Hey Deacon. What's up?" Luca answered the call. "Yeah I'm free next Saturday. Five grand for a security detail. Heck yeah I'm in. Text me the details." Luca hung up and laughed. "Easy money."
