"Can I help you gentlemen?" A well dressed man asked, as he walked around the counter to approach them.

Deacon looked over at Luca. Deacon held up Grace Kings' business card, for the man to get a look at the name. "I believe you are expecting us and that Ms. King told you what was needed?" Deacon asked.

"Yes. Of course. Please follow me." He told them, looking them both up and down. "She would like you in Black suits and either black shirts or white but you both have to have the same colour. So you will have to agree on that one. No ties."

"Thank God." Luca muttered looking at the tag on a suit. He whistled lowly. He leaned closer to Deacon. "How rich are the Kings."

The Salesman laughed. "Oh Sir. If you have to ask you do not want to know." He pulled a suit jacket off the hanger and held it up to Deacon. "You two are security correct? I would go with black shirts and one size up in the jacket to hide the guns. I am assuming." He added, but then kept on going before they could answer. He pulled off another jacket and two different shirts. "Deanne here is going to take measurements please can one of you follow her."

Deacon and Luca walked into the Lobby of King Tower and Deacon headed to the left. He waved at the Main Lobby receptionist as he went to the private access door. He placed his hand on the scanner and the light changed to green and the lock disengaged. He held the door for Luca and made sure the lock engaged before stepping towards the private elevator. "Still got it." He grinned at Luca.
"So glad I didn't try to give her my number." Luca whistled. "She is not even on the same plane as me."

Deacon laughed and shook his head. "Grace? She can surprise you. She is very down to earth away from the cameras." Deacon told him, as the elevator opened and they stepped in.

"Really?" Luca asked, not believing him.

"Really. Her and her brother are just normal people, who pay well for security details." Deacon winked at him as the elevator doors opened and he stepped out into the foyer first. He looked around and seen Grace Kings' office door open. He walked over to the left. "Grace?" Grace King came into view wearing a long robe, her hair and makeup flawless. "Deacon. Luca." She greeted, she looked down at her robe. "Sorry my dress is late." She chuckled. "It won't be too much longer." She said, checking her watch. "Make yourself comfortable." She told them, leading them out into the living room. "I'll be right back down." She told them.

"No problem. Take your time." Deacon told her. He watched her go up the stairs to the second floor of her penthouse apartment. Deacon looked over at Luca. "Might want to pick your jaw up off the floor." He teased.

Deacon took a seat while he waited, watching Luca as he walked around the room. It was a very normal living room. Large TV and entertainment on one wall. Bookcases full of DVDs and Books on another. Photos of Grace, her brother and people she knew on another wall and every little table other then the coffee table had vases of flowers. The coffee table book was National Geographic.

A little girl in a blue nightgown appeared in the doorway. "Oh." She squeaked, surprised. Deacon smiled at her. "Hello."

"Where is Aunt Grace?" She asked him.

"She is upstairs. Getting ready." Deacon explained.

"Clara!" A males' voice called from behind her, before coming into view. "Deacon. Nice to see you again." Rhys King greeted entering the room.

Deacon stood up and they shook hands. "Rhys." Deacon motioned to Luca. "This is fellow SWAT Officer Dominic Luca." He introduced them. "Luca meet Rhys King. Graces' twin brother."

"Hello." Luca greeted as they shook hands. "Nice to meet you."

"You as well." Rhys answered, looking at his phone when it chimed. He frowned then looked up. "Deacon you know the drill. I will get there at about ten-thirty. Also she is not able to bring Toast." He reminded them.

Deacon grinned. "We got it covered. One of us will always be on her left side."

"Thanks again for doing this. The two normals on this job, one is getting married and since the other one was his best man they both needed the weekend off." Rhys told them, chuckling. His phone chimed again. He cursed. "Sorry I have to go." He walked out of the room. "Clara come on sweetheart. We need to go bug your Aunt."

"Coming!" Clara ran into the room and followed her Dad up the stairs.

Grace sat in front of her vanity mirror and was making faces at herself. Her best friend and dress designer Skylar Pearson was late. She texted saying she was stuck in traffic. Grace looked at her phone when it chimed. She frowned at the email that came in and sent a reminder for her to look into it when she was back. "Grace!" Rhys called.

"I know." She answered, as he walked into her walk in closet. Clara following behind. "Hi Sweetheart." She said, hugging Clara. "I will deal with it when I'm back tonight." She told Rhys.

"Much appreciated." Rhys told her. He pulled an envelope out of his chest pocket. "Here is the cheque you asked the bank to send over."

"Yes. Thank you." Grace slipped it into her clutch she was taking with her tonight.

"Gracie!" A female called from the other room. Skylar was here. She walked into her room. "Boys out." Skylar told Rhys. "Hi Honey." She greeted Clara as she came in with a black dress bag in her hand. "Sorry I am late. Traffic was stupid." She muttered. She hung the dress on one of the bars and unzipped the bag. Skylar pulled the dress out and fiddled with it for a few more moments.

"Wow Sky it's beautiful." Grace told her, coming up to stand beside her. She reached out to touch the fabric. She looked at her best friend. "Heels?" She asked, cringing already at how her feet were going to hurt by the end of the night.

Skylar rolled her eyes. She looked over at Clara. "Your Aunt thinks she is SOOOO funny." She teased. Clara laughed. Skylar looked at Grace. "Dress now. I will grab the shoes." Skylar told her, walking over to the far side of her closet and looked over her shoes. "Good old Louie." Skylar muttered, grabbing a pair of black ankle boots with the Patent Red Soles. "Well?" Skylar asked Grace as she turned around.

"Love it." Grace told her. The dress was black. It hugged her chest and waist perfectly and flared out at her hips and the drape down to the floor was perfect. Like everything Grace wore it had a high neckline. Skylar whistled at her as she walked over and started pulling the laces. Like most of the things Skylar made her it had a corset style lacing up the back of the dress. "Sadist." Grace muttered as Skylar tugged the laces tight.

Skylar laughed. "You know you love me." She grinned, making quick work of the laces. She held up the shoes. "Love these." Skylar told her, kneeling down and slipping them on Graces' feet. "Cinderella." She teased.

Grace laughed. "This Cinderella gets to leave the ball before midnight."

"And your Prince would have to be really dumb not to know who you are." Skylar joked and they both laughed. "Okay. You are perfect! Also who are the two new guys downstairs?"

Grace grinned and shook her head. "They are my security detail for the night." Grace explained. "They are off duty police officers." She warned her friend.

Skylar grinned and whispered so Clara couldn't hear her. "Perfect. They already have handcuffs."

Grace laughed and nudged Skylar with her elbow. "Clara? Will you please go get Toast and head back to your home?" She asked her niece.

"TOAST!" Clara called, running out of the room. "Okay. Last check?" Grace asked, doing a slow turn. She checked her makeup in the floor length mirror. "All good." Skylar agreed, grabbing a clutch purse from Graces' collection. "This one matches." She told her.

"Thanks." Grace told her. She picked up her phone and the cheque Rhys gave her earlier. She also slipped her ID and eight hundred dollars cash. She headed out of her room. "Sorry gentlemen." Grace said, coming into the rec room. Deacon and Luca stood up. "Deacon and Luca meet Skylar. Skylar Officer Deacon and Officer Luca."

"Nice to meet you Skylar. Please call me Deacon." Deacon told her, shaking her hand.

Skylar smiled. "Silver Fox suits you much better."

Grace looked up to the ceiling. "Sorry. Deacon I warned her, but she has no filter." Grace apologized.

Deacon grinned. "It's okay Grace. Sorry Skylar. Happily married." Deacon said, holding up his left hand.

"Lucky wife." Skylar muttered. "Oh well. Grace I will see you later tonight. Boys." She said, turning around and leaving.

"Bye. Thank You." Grace called after her. "Well gentlemen. Sorry for making you wait. Let me grab my phone and I will be ready." She said, disappearing into her office. She came back out and closed the door and locked it with a press of a button. She followed them to the elevator and they let her go first. "Victor is waiting at the South garage."

Luca opened the limo door for her as Deacon got in the front passenger seat. She nodded her thanks as she had to think about how to adjust her dress as she sat down. She swung her feet in and laughed at herself. Luca closed her door. He turned around and opened the door directly behind the front passenger door so he was facing her. She made a face at him and he chuckled. She pulled out her phone and shut her personal one down and left her work phone on silence.
It wasn't that long of a drive and she pulled one of the mirrors down in front of her to double check her make-up. Victor stopped in front of the fancy hotel the event was being held at. Of course with all the high rollers being invited a red carpet was laid out from the street to the front doors. Each side of the carpet had people with cameras and a lot of them.

Luca and Deacon got out first and scanned the area before Deacon nodded to Luca and Luca opened the door for her and held his hand out to help her out. She grinned in thanks, before accepting his hand and had to keep a smile plastered on her face as she maneuvered out of the Limo. She released Lucas'
hand and took a few steps towards the door. There was three others on the carpet ahead of her and they were all following the unwritten rule about carpets.
You had to stay six to ten feet behind the person in front of you. She kept the smile on her face as she casually scanned the crowd of reporters. She wasn't even a few more feet down the carpet when someone called her by a nickname she hated. "HEY PRINCESS!" He shouted over everyone.

She turned to Jamie Bloom. He sold photos to any magazine that paid the most. He was a shark with a camera but a fair and classy guy underneath all that camera equiptment. "Mr. Bloom. I think you have me confused." She said, taking a few steps towards him. She quickly smiled when he raised his camera for a photo. "I am no Princess." She seen a few reporters laugh at her comment.

Bloom barked out a laugh. "Sweetheart. You live in the highest part of the tallest tower in L.A. That alone makes you a Princess." He grinned at her.
"You look beautiful as always. Stellar out did herself again." Grace smiled at his comment.

"Miss King!" A group of other reporters called to her from around Mr. Bloom. "Can you tell us when we can expect the next big thing from King Towers?"
They all shouted at her.

She grinned at them, they all put their microphones in front of her face. One of them was too close for comfort and she was really glad she opted out of her hearing aid, or the frequency exchange would have her ear ringing. She took the microphone that was too close and the reporter gladly gave it to her.
She very casually leaned forwards a little and slipped it into this front jacket pocket. The others laughed. She took a step back and smiled at Jamie Blooms' camera. He was her favourite news hound as he only posted what was true and if a photo was taken and she happened to be talking or something else he never made ridiculous headlines of them. She kept her smile in place. "Let's just say boys you might want to start working on getting back on the Nice List." She laughed as she turned away from them. Their expressions of speechlessness was worth the fun. It took her another thirty minutes to get inside the event.

She kept a grin on her face at all times incase cameras were around. A waiter in black tails approached her and she accepted a champagne flute. She walked over to the hostess and organizer of the event. "Victoria." She greeted with a side hug that neither of them really touched each other. "This is beautiful. You have out done yourself again." She told her.

Victoria Elliot smiled at her. "Grace. Thank you and thank you for accepting the invite."

Grace laughed. "Oh please. I love your events, besides the food is always good."

Victoria laughed with her. "Oh, you Kings' are always the same. Let me guess your brother will be here in two hours and you will conveniently get a phone call to excuse yourself." She whispered the last part.

"You know me well." Grace answered.

Victoria gave her a look. "You can be in the same room as your brother. It will not kill either one of you." She teased again. She raised her hand and gave a small wave to three older women approaching. "Ladies it is so nice to see you again. Thank you for accepting my invitation." She greeted the three older lades. "I hope you brought your husbands and I will get to see you on the dance floor. Always a treat." Victoria gushed, directing them to their seats.
"Catch up with you later Grace."

"If not tonight. Coffee." Grace promised about to walk away from Victoria when one of the older women interrupted her getaway.

"Miss King. It would do you some good to get married and have kids of your own." Her name was Henrietta Watson and her husband owned eight law firms up and down the coast. Grace knew Victoria couldn't stand these three ladies, but invited them for their large pocket books. Watsons' sons have been trying to get an appointment with Grace and Rhys for years.

Grace just smiled. "Thank you for your advice Mrs. Watson. I unfortunately do not have much time for that running my business." She grinned as she left. Mrs. Watson hated women who actually worked meaning they worked long hours and weekends and not the ones who claimed to "Work" hard when really they posted photos on Instagram of their perfect kids and husbands. Unfortunately this room was full of the "Working" kind of women. Grace kept the smile in place as she turned around and walked away.

"Decking an old woman would not be helpful." Deacon whispered in her ear.

She looked back and him and smiled. She laughed. "Noted. Why do you think I walked away." She seen no one at the bar. She walked over and placed her still full champagne flute on the bar and grinned at the bartender. "Hello Arty." She greeted reading his name tag. "May I please exchange this for a flute of ginger ale?" She asked quietly. Her and her brother never drank at parties, but had no problem trying to appear as if they did. She left a hundred dollar bill on the bar for him. She winked at him as she lifted the glass.

After two hours her face was getting tired of keeping some sort of smiling expression. She was sitting down at a table with Victoria and Victorias'
daughter Violet, catching up. When Victorias' expression change had Grace glancing over her shoulder. Luca and Deacon were not far, probably just out of ear shot or they were politely not listening. She cringed inwardly as inbetween them she could see Jasper Woods walking into the event, with a tall leggy brunette on his arm. "I'm sorry Grace. I didn't send him an invitation." She whispered.

She patted Victorias' hand. "Don't worry about it. Besides it's a very Jasper move to show up to the event of the year when he wasn't invited." She grinned over at Violet. "Better make sure he gives you a very good donation." She choose not to look over at them when they approached Victoria.

"Mrs. Elliot what a marvelous party." Jasper spoke, taking Victorias' hand and placed a kiss on the top of her hand. Victoria, Violet and Grace all stood when Jasper and his girlfriend Devany Belrose approached. Jasper looked over at her. "OH Grace. I didn't know you would be here."

Grace put her best fake polite smile. "Wouldn't miss this party for anything. It's one of my favourites." She told him. As her ex boyfriend he knew she was going to be here. She watched as Devany placed her left hand on Jaspers' arm blatantly showing off the large rock on her ring finger. Grace had to keep from smirking.

"OH I love your dress Grace." Devany stated, reaching out with her right hand. Grace took a small step back to keep her from touching her. No one noticed but Victoria and Jasper, but they both knew why she did it.
"Thank You. It's a Stellar Design by Skylar." Grace said, politely. Her work phone went off in her hand and she opened her clutch just enough to read the message. 'LUCA ASKED ME FOR AN EXCUSE FOR YOU TO LEAVE?' She frowned and looked up. "Sorry I need to excuse myself." She spoke to Victoria, giving her a hug goodbye. "Great party. I can't wait to read what you raised for the Childrens' hospital." She turned around and mouthed 'Thank You' to Luca as she approached them. She walked to the exit and was waiting for the limo out of view of the reporters outside and the guests inside.

"Gracie." Jasper said, walking up to them. She didn't realize he had followed her. "What was that?" He demanded, keeping his voice down.

Grace looked at him. "What are you talking about?"

"OH please Gracie. I know when you are ducking out when I see it. We dated remembered." Jasper told her.

"Don't remind me." She muttered. "Look not sure what you are thinking, but I am not ducking out. Rhys sent me a message of a system crash and I am needed onsite." She looked over at Luca. "Could you check if Davis is here with the car?" She asked, trying to seem she was in a rush. Wasn't hard when she wanted to get out of here as fast as possible. "It's been five years since we dated, not sure why you are offended now?"

"You didn't even congratulate her on our engagement." He whispered.

Grace played dumb. "Congrats. I didn't know. She should have told us." Grace said.

"Sometimes you piss me off." Jasper told her. "You know I kept your secret!" He whispered, getting closer to her.

"Yes and you have been living quite comfortably with the hush money you made me give you. So don't be making it look like you are a saint." She whispered, trying to keep from hitting him.

"Ms. King, Davis has arrived." Luca told her.

"Thank You." Grace answered. She looked back at Jasper. "Does she know you bought that ring for me?" Grace asked, smirking.

Deacon followed her out. "You okay?" He whispered, so only Grace could hear.

Once she was outside she laughed. "Thank you both." She walked to the Limo Davis was standing beside. He opened the door and grinned at her. She wasn't the least bit surprised to see Rhys waiting for her. 'THANK YOU FOR THE SAVE." She told him, speaking in Korean as Luca and Deacon got into the Limo.

"WHY THE EXCUSE?" He asked, concerned.

Something on Lucas' face had her pausing. She grinned and switched to Russian. "NEEDED TO GET OUT OF THERE. JASPER SHOWED UP AND HE GOT IN MY FACE ABOUT NOT SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT THE RING ON HIS GIRLFRIENDS' FINGER. TOLD ME HE FELT INSULTED. I ASKED IF SHE KNEW THE RING WAS ORIGINALLY FOR ME." She answered, watching Lucas' facial expressions out the corner of her eye.

Rhys looked at her then Luca for a moment. "THINK HE KNOWS KOREAN?" He asked in Russian.

"DEFINITELY." Grace answered, grinning at him. "NOW MAKE SURE TO CONGRATS JASPER AND HIS NEW FIANCE FROM US BOTH AND DO APOLOGIZE FOR MY UNTIMELY DEPARTURE." Grace reminded him.

"Got it." Rhys Laughed. "Davis please let me out before leaving." His door was opened and he stepped out. He leaned down and looked at her. "If you are stopping for Pizza, Clara wanted me to remind you to get her some." He said, before turning around and waving at the reporters.
